I'll always be just a text message or phone call away if you need to contact me.

After an extensive, meticulous search and the crossing off every item on a long list of strict, self-appointed home requirements, I specifically chose to live in this lovely building located in the beautiful Logan Square neighborhood situated in the heart of Philadelphia. Or as I like to call it, the United States' most underrated city.

Right out the door are the amazing highlights the Logan Square neighborhood has to offer. Below is a list of some of my varied favorites that I hope you'll also enjoy. Each of the highlights on the list can be reached by foot in 15-minutes or less.

The Schuylkill Banks (riverfront and park)
Logan Circle Fountain Park
Sister Cities Park

Eastern State Penitentiary
The Franklin Institute
The Academy of Natural Sciences

The Mutter Museum
The Philadelphia Museum of Art (also home of The Rocky Statue)
The Barnes Museum
The Rodin Museum

The Free Library of Philadelphia (Main Branch)
Moore College of Art
Boathouse Row

PARKING - If you'll be traveling in your car or a rental vehicle and will require overnight parking, street parking availability is better in this neighborhood than most in the city. HOWEVER, non-metered parking on the street, while free, is limited to 1-3 hours between 8 AM-6PM Monday-Saturday. Kiosk/Meter parking on the street is limited to 3 hours and costs $3.75. If you surpass your time limit on either, you WILL be ticketed [$36-$76 depending upon type of parking violation].
Additionally, you WILL be towed if parked overnight in certain locations on the street where signs display tow warnings. If towed, you'll be required to travel to the Phila. Parking Authority [PPA] towing impound lot in South Philadelphia and pay at least $171 to get your car back!
Therefore, upon arrival, I recommend you park as near as you're able to the front of the building, turn on your hazard lights, give me a call to let me know you're here, and I'll greet you at the building entrance so that we can transport your luggage into my apartment before you search for long-term parking. The PPA does allow you up to 30 minutes to do this and it won't take us more than 15 to unload and for me to give you a quick tour of the apartment to help you get settled.
Afterward, I highly recommend that you park your car at either of the following locations nearby or I can give you some tips on preferable street parking locations in the neighborhood:
EDGEWATER GARAGE
2323 Race Street
Philadelphia, PA hr rate: $24.20
Pros: Proximity to apt. (@ 2 blocks); indoor garage; very safe
Cons: Cost/rates

SP + PARKING (lot)
112 N. 23rd Street (23rd & Arch)
Philadelphia, PA hr rate: $15
Pros: Cost/rates, hours of operation (24/7); safe
Cons: Proximity to apt. (@ 4 blocks); outdoor lot

PARKOPEDIA
Website and mobile app that allows drivers to find the closest parking to their destination, tells them how much it will cost and whether the space is available. You can also download the mobile app to reserve and pay for parking online.

WALKING - An extremely convenient and sensible option. If you are able and/or prefer to walk, you will be located in the very best walking location in the entire city! No walk in this neighborhood will need to exceed 15 minutes in order to reach an abundance of the top city sites, museums, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, convenience stores, places of worship and more.

SEPTA - Philadelphia's public transit service (bus, train, subway, trolley). Bus stop located right outside the building for the #48 and #7 Buses. The #48 Bus travels to and from OldeCity/Penn's Landing and points in-between every 18 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends.

UBER, UBER X, LYFT - Available car transport services - Download the smartphone apps, order a car for transport online, driver will pick you up right outside the front of the building, average arrival for pick-up in 4-7 minutes.

TAXI CAB SERVICE - Hail a cab outside the building or call ahead. TIP: Cabs with an ILLUMINATED roof light indicates the taxi is [usually] unoccupied and available to pick you up. Just give the driver a wave from the sidewalk.

INDEGO - Philadelphia's very popular bike share program. Rent bikes by the hour (as low as $4/hr) and return them to any of the dozens of kiosks located throughout the city. Nearest bicycle kiosk located directly across the street from the building, adjacent to the Franklin Institute.

Amazing apartment in a perfect location. Mark was extremely helpful and an absolute pleasure during our stay. We couldn't have been happier, and were bummed we had to leave a day early to get back home to California for an unforeseen emergency. Thanks again, Mark.

Mark was a great host during our stay for a wedding! The location could not be more central for walking tours of the city.
