Back to nature. The house is light, spacious and calming. The garden folds around the house providing a sanctuary for wild life

Hereford is 6 miles away and Hay on Wye 12 miles west. There are local walks with tremendous views

This is our home and we love to share but theres plenty of space to ensure mutual privacy. We like to provide a great breakfast with locally sourced produce. We know the hens, we know the pigs and maybe we will just have made another batch of bacon

The countryside, the birdsong and the sheer greenness

Need wheels unless you hitch a ride on a tractor!

Normas de la casa

No smoking in the house please
Small pets by negotiation. We have Bobbi, a working cocker spaniel.

Penny and Andrew were wonderful hosts - extremely warm and welcoming and great communication beforehand. The room has everything you need and the house is located in a beautiful area to explore either by car or on foot. We were attending a wedding nearby so there wasn't time for exploring unfortunately! The highlight was definitely the breakfast - bacon and eggs and delicious seasonal fruit. Highly recommended!

Penny made us feel very welcome. The house is beautiful, in an idyllic setting. The accommodation was spacious, attractive and very well- equipped. The breakfast was delioious. We will return when we next come to Hay.

Penny & Andrew were consummate hosts, charming, amusing & helpful - giving us the background on the surrounding area, its abundant attractions and its people. Their barn is a delight and the bedroom is large and comfortable with tea making facilities, the bed super-comfy and the breakfast just what was needed on a moody stormy Sunday morning! In addition Penny and Andrew have a great passion for art and have an eclectic collection of wonderful art work on the barn walls which are to be explored and enjoyed in equal measure. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

Presently I run the art gallery here in Tighnabruaich with my husband Andrew. We have been living here in Tighnabruaich for 7 years. It's a great commuity despite the size. What do we like? Favourite film has to be "A good year" with Russell Crowe. The Travelling Wilburys go down well in the Gallery. We also try and keep the cafe next door open by running it as a community initiative. When we did our day there Andrew made Cassoulet and I did a spicy lentil soup which seemed to go down well. We love staying at Alastair Sawdays pubs or B&Bs and its time he returned the favour!
