Otros aspectos destacables
In Navarrenx you will find several bars, some with live music, restaurants, antique shops, art gallery, artisanal markets, cycle hire, boulangeries, charcuteries and banks. There are tennis courts, a large outdoor swimming pool and petanque area. Navarrenx sits on one of the main pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostela and the friendly international travellers are a regular sight as they arrive to spend the night in the hostel or other accommodation within the town.

Every year Navarrenx hosts the 'World Champion Salmon Fishing' competition in the magnificent river, the 'Gave d'Oloron' where you can also try canoeing, rafting and kayaking. If you prefer walking or cycling there are hundreds of kilometres of quiet roads to do both, or cycle off-road on the well marked forest routes. Horse riding and hot air ballooning are available locally too.

Ubicación

Navarrenx, Aquitania, Francia

Situated right in the heart of town, a car is not essential to enjoy your stay, everything is literally, right on your doorstep. All amenities are to be found in Navarrenx, including several good restaurants, a choice of lively bars & cafes, shops & supermarkets, banks with cashpoints, and a traditional fresh produce market twice a week in summer. There is an outdoor swimming centre / kids splash pool and tennis & petanque courts. The Béarn is a perfect place for cycling. It is quite hilly and undulating in places but there are also plenty of gentle flat routes taking you through the pretty villages nearby.
