Lovely cabin with everything needed for your stay. The hot tub is wonderful to relax in at night. At first I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't an electric hot tub but the wood burning hot tub is far better - much more charming and natural. Secluded spot amongst other cabins next to Loch Awe - there is a small village shop and bar but be prepared to have everything you need. Beautiful walks and views from the cabin. Didn't meet the host but very helpful and friendly during my booking and subsequent queries.

My partner and I had a great time in your log cabin. There was lots of nice walks to do, and the hot tub was a revelation! The stay was very peaceful. Glad we got supplies beforehand, however we had a great meal at the pub in the next village. Would definitely come again!

Great cabin in a good location. We enjoyed the fact that it was off the beaten track somewhat....The on-site community pub was excellent, serving good sized pub-style grub and very friendly too. We would visit again...

This is an amazing location. It is off the beaten track and the loch shore is minutes away on foot. The area has a very welcoming feel and the neighbours were friendly. The hidden gem is the wee shop/café and the loch view restaurant. Initially I felt disheartened when I first arrived but the menu and staff were excellent and the food was delicious. Very family oriented and could not have done enough for us all. I would definitely recommend staying here.

A magical, peaceful retreat away from the stresses & strains of city life. We stayed for a weekend & cried when it was time to leave. The location really is away from it all, the views on the journey there are spectacular. The location itself is idyllic, with views of Loch Awe, it's breathtaking. We planned to go exploring all weekend, however we ended up only leaving the lodge once. With the crackle of the wood burning stove & the warmth of the hot tub it was just so romantic. We're not the type of couple to sit around all day but we had the most amazing relaxing time here. We would advise to get cool box for your milk and fresh food & go shopping before you go as there is nothing near by. We stocked up on everything.. including lots of alcohol. When we arrived we bought extra logs. Then my partner had hours of fun lighting fires.. Must be a primal thing! soon we had the wood burning stove going, the hot tub was steaming by 9pm. We only came out of it when our skin wrinkled like we were in our 90s. We had the best time ever here just the two of us, the cabin could sleep another 4 people. We agreed that it would be such a great place for a family, or even friends together too. We don't like going to the same place twice, the worlds too big to stop exploring. But this place is special & I can see us going back.. maybe we'll leave the lodge next time! If you book this you won't regret it.

Lovely, secluded place. Even though there are quite a few other cabins in the area, we barely saw or heard anyone else during our stay. The hot tub is a great way to end a day boating on the lake or exploring nearby castles, and the nearby power station tour is definitely worth a trip!

I consider myself to be one of the luckiest people going. My husband Steve and I are custodians of the wonderful Plane Castle, a 14th century medieval castle. We both get to work from home in our day jobs and manage this amazing castle at the same time. We are happy to show you around the castle or farm cottage and help you out in any with suggestions of things to do while you are here. Our log cabins are just the icing on the cake. Truly secluded Highland Hideaways with the luxury of a log fired hot tub. We've both travelled a fair bit but our hearts are in Scotland:-)
