Descripción

Our apartment is the place to stay if you want easy access to all the best things Toronto has to offer (markets, museums, theaters, bars, sports, beaches, parks). The guest room is a clean, comfortable base camp for your visit to this awesome city!

A cozy, three-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and a large kitchen. The guest bedroom has a double mattress that comfortably sleeps two people, a desk, and a closet and chest of drawers for storage.

Guests have their own bedroom, bathroom, refrigerator, cupboards, and are welcome to use the kitchen and common living space any time. Guests also have access to high-speed unlimited internet and a washer/dryer (for a fee, we have to pay it too).

We're pretty busy people and are happy to give you suggestions on sights to visit as well as our favorite places to eat, drink, and have a good time.

Our apartment is in the heart of Toronto!

Here are some of attractions in walking distance:

Kensington Market: Toronto's most unique neighbourhood, Kensington Market has a mix of vintage clothing stores, Latin American grocers, fresh produce, cafes and watering holes.

China Town: One of the largest Chinatowns in North America and a great (cheap!) place to eat.

Queen Street West: The second coolest neighborhood in the world, at least according to the people at Vogue (check it out online if you don't believe us).

The Art Gallery of Ontario: Tons of great Canadian art (including the Group of Seven and Henry Moore) as well as excellent special exhibits.

The Royal Ontario Museum: Canada's biggest natural history museum and one of the largest museums in North America.

TIFF Bell Lightbox: Hub of the Toronto International Film Festival and otherwise used to screen world cinema, independent films, and directorial retrospectives.

Princess of Wales Theatre: Playhouse featuring productions like The Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera, and The Lion King.

Steam Whistle Brewery: Take a tour to see how this Canadian pilsner is (website hidden) Tower: 553 m tower with amazing views of the city and Lake Ontario. You can even do an outdoor walk around the edge of the main pod.

Ripley's Aquarium: Features 16,000 aquatic animals as well as North America's longest underwater viewing tunnel.

The apartment is close to some of the best food (Bar Isabel, Bent, Khao San Road, Queen Margherita Pizza, Kinton Ramen, Campagnolo...) and drink (la Carnita, Bellwoods Brewery, Madison Avenue Pub, Sneeky Dee's, Horseshoe Tavern, Cocktail Bar... ) in the city. It is also a short, safe walk away from Toronto's club district.

Let us know what you'd like to do in Toronto and we'll happily make recommendations for things in the area.

The apartment is walking distance to many Toronto attractions.

If you're feeling lazy or want to go father afield:
- 24-hour bike rental (2 min walk)
- Streetcar stop (less than 1 min walk - connects to subways and buses)
- Subway stop (5 minute walk)
- Cabs (1 min walk away at any time of day or night)

In terms of getting to/from the airport: From Pearson International Airport, you can take a public transit ($3, 50 min trip), an express train + public transit ($30.50, 40 min trip), or a taxi (approx. $60). From Billy Bishop Airport, you can take a public transit ($3, 30 min trip) or a taxi (approx. $17).

We've just welcomed our newest house-mate: a little kitten named Ebony.

My roommate Jess and I are both recent university graduates living in and loving downtown Toronto. We've been in this city for 6 years and are still meeting new people and discovering great places to eat, drink, and play. We are also avid travelers and have experience with Airbnb as guests. As hosts, we are happy to give you tips on fun things to do in Toronto and we always want to hear about your experiences here and abroad. Of course, we understand that a clean, comfortable, private space is key after a long day of adventuring so we keep your room and the rest of the apartment up to snuff.
