Rental space offers a PRIVATE FLOOR - separate entrance, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom & private balcony. It's a wonderfully restored historic South Side home, tucked away in a secluded piece of nature (deer, turkeys, and groundhogs included!) located just a mile from downtown. Gorgeous city views, free on-street parking.

Covid-19 Update: Extensive cleaning takes place between all guests- cleaning all surfaces, doorknobs, light switches, etc. with Clorox disinfectant. Floors are mopped, linens washed, and cloth surfaces that cannot be laundered (sofa & chairs) are wiped with hot water cloths between all guests. During this time, I will also be leaving at least 2 days between guests to allow additional time for cleaning, disinfecting, and for germs to die. Additional cleaning requests will be considered upon request. Thank you.

Welcome to my home - an updated and renovated 170ish year-old Pittsburgh home! The Airbnb rooms are on the ground level, below where I live.

I apologize, the house is NOT wheelchair-accessible. It is on a hill, so to get to the private entrance, there is a set of stairs. Please ask if you have questions.

The house is 4 stories on the Southside Slopes. I'm about one mile from downtown - a nice walk downhill into town and a great workout on your way back up! There is a set of city stairs (about 280 steps) that connect my house to E. Carson Street and the 10th Street Bridge. So, it's possible to leave your car on my street and venture to the Southside neighborhood, Station Square, or downtown by foot. While there are also buses that pass my street (quick 3 minute walk to the bus stop), Uber is another great option. Walk down, Uber back up!

Servicios y zonas comunes
Your private floor includes:
- A bedroom with full-sized bed, a dresser, and closet space
- An entry room/bedroom with a twin-sized daybed, table set up as a desk/work space, and closet (this is also your private entry, so if you plan to use this as a bedroom, you might prefer to use the main front door as your entry)
- A bathroom with full tub/shower, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, hairdryer,.. Just ask and I probably have it
- A "kitchen" with a table, sink, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, tv, small sofa
- A private balcony for relaxing and deer and turkey spotting
- Wifi

*I currently don't have cable, but I can share access to Hulu and Netflix if desired.

In the basement, I have a washer and dryer available.

Otros aspectos destacables
I live on the side of a large hill. So, in the winter months (late December/early January thru March) when snow is unpredictable, parking will likely be on the main road coming off of my street (frequently plowed). Probably .1 -.2 miles from my house, up a quick hill. In the winter months, it would be ideal to have guests without cars or don't mind parking a bit away. Talk to me about this and I can better explain it.

In just 280 steps down, East Carson Street awaits you with shops, bars, and restaurants galore. There's really something for everyone there, but you're also a bit distanced from the nightlife at my home. If you go further across the bridge, you're downtown! Just don't forget, what goes down must come up! ;)

I'm happy to give local recommendations in my neighborhood and the city. I'm very active in my neighborhood and love to share our little gems and secrets.

I was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but I've always had the itch to travel. I lived in Germany as a foreign exchange student and Thailand as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer. I've traveled throughout the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia (I love to give travel advice on these areas). For the past eight years, I've been back in Pittsburgh developing human services locally! In my free time, I volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. I also enjoy cycling, running, swimming, karaoke, relaxing on my balcony, visiting friends, and much more. My favorite movies are Zoolander and The Sandlot (both available for viewing) and my choice of music completely depends on my mood. I love eating all types of foods and trying new things. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Interaction is completely up to you. I'm an extrovert and love meeting new people. But I'm also not offended if you want to avoid me for your whole stay! It's your stay, so just do you! I'm just glad you're here. :)

I can share knowledge of the city and make recommendations for great spots. I've lived in Pittsburgh for over 8 years, in 3 different neighborhoods. I have a lot of ideas for fun things in city things!
