"Vinola" is charming cabin built in the early 1930's. It underwent a total interior renovation in 2016 and we can't wait to share it with you.
Vinola has one bedroom with a queen bed. The main room has one single bed, a single cot and a queen pull out sofa. The loft has 2 single cots. (The loft is not to be used by small children for safety.) Full kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. There is no TV. (you won't miss it, we promise!) Vinola has a lovely porch on the front and a fire pit and swing set in the back. There are trails in Pachaug and Arcadia management areas that start at the end of the driveway.

Typically, we will be on the property for some part of every day as we live in the main house. For an additional fee we can provide guided hikes in beautiful Pachaug State Forest upon request.

We have another cabin on the property, one camp trailer (occupied only in the summer) as well as two main houses. Just remember that there are other people living here, so we expect respect for them as far as noise.

Use of the sauna, beach, swimming area, canoes, and kayaks is done at your own risk.
Please let me know who will be staying so I know how many beds to make. For example, if you booked for two guests, it is helpful for me to know if you need one or two beds.
Firewood is available for $3/bundle from a self-serve rack in the driveway.
The cabin has both a charcoal and gas grill. Bring your own charcoal please.
All linens, towels, dishes, etc are provided.
No smoking inside the cabin or on the porch. You may smoke a distance away, but please do not throw your butts on the ground.
The loft sleeping area is accessed by a ladder and open to the living space below without any wall or railing. This area is not suited for small children and any minors using this area should be supervised by an adult.
Please leave the cabin in the same condition you found it. This cabin has been rented to the same families for 50 years. Multiple generations have grown up here coming every summer. They love it and have many fond memories of it. Let's preserve it for the next 50 years! Please sweep and tidy up before you leave.
Swimming and use of our kayaks and canoes is done at your own risk. Life jackets are required when taking any of the watercraft out on the lake. We have plenty that you can borrow.
Pets: We do allow pets, however we expect our guests to take care of them. ALL PETS MUST BE ON A LEASH OUTSIDE. Please pick up pet droppings immediately and dispose of them property. If you need to leave your pets in the cabin when you go out, they MUST be in a kennel. We can provide one if needed. This is to protect our cabins from damage. Many pets get fearful when left alone in a new place. We've have dogs break screens and get out while owners were away. That is why we instituted the kennel rule. Do not allow pets on the furniture or in the beds. If you cannot keep pets off the furniture, please do not bring them.
Absolutely no candles of any kind! The cabin is newly remodeled and is a labor of love. It is all wood and we cannot risk a fire.
