Leslie's place is glamping at it's finest, with a beautiful natural environment, fresh clear glacier melt water and the reviving waters of Lower Arrow Lake just 2 minutes down the hill from the glamp. Leslie makes a fabulous breakfast for her guests as well as fabulous conversation! Don't forget to visit the Burton City Ciders at nearby Burton City - their ciders are so good they make you want to hug the trees!

Our family of six spent a night here and were warmly welcomed by Leslie. The cabin had comfortable space for everyone and most things you would need to cook, eat and clean with, a little propane grill on the deck, a couple of towels, extra blankets, fan for hot days, fridge etc. The lakefront was nice and there are some deckchairs there... the kids swam all evening until sundown. Breakfast was at 0830 and lovely fresh fruit, yoghurt with nuts and seeds, and fresh muffins... clearly prepared with care. Check in and out was easy and Leslie communicated by phone and msg. We would come again and send family and friends. It was a fun and unique experience! Like camping but to the next level of comfort.

The setting of Hummingbird Cabins is fantastic, a jewel on the Arrow lakes. Cabins are basic but all you really need. The best part of our visit to Hummingbird Cabins was the host, Leslie! She is well read, informative, tells a great story and can talk on pretty well any subject. Many thanks Leslie!

The space is absolutely beautiful and Leslie is an amazing host. The cabin has 2 large beds and a set of bunkbeds, so could easily accomodate families. It is so quiet and peaceful We loved the experience completely. We will be back.

Fantastic cabin, great location, and an amazing host. Leslie was warm, friendly, and inviting. The delicious breakfast overlooking the water was a wonderful way to start the day. We'll definitely stay here again.

Our cabin was just perfect for one couple (separate room) and my toddler and I (bed and bunkbed). Leslie provided a small camping stove for cooking dinner. Breakfast and coffee on her deck was a perfect way to start the day. The property is lovely and we really enjoyed the waterfront. We rented two of Leslie's kayaks and had a lovely paddle on the lake.

Leslie was exceptionally friendly and the property is very rugged and pristine. It was well maintained and clean. However, it would have been helpful to have advertised it as sleeping cabins only. The owner tried to give us cooking capacity by including a tent trailer with a sink, water and 3 burner exterior camp stove and 2 queen beds for a discounted cost which we appreciated. The tent trailer beds were not comfortable. There were 2 very comfortable queen beds in the cabin and 2 bunk beds which made us wonder why there were only 3 cups and 4 plates and 4 glasses with a full8 person set of cutlery. The cabin had electrical outlets which gave us ability to plug in personal equipment we brought but there was no outside cover on the balcony so using the supplied table top barbeque was out of the question since it rained most of the weekend. The tent trailer had a canopy but it didn't extend to the eating table. We found a tarp under the trailer which we rigged to extend over the table that allowed us to eat and cook out of the rain. The bathroom building was clean and well equipped although the advertised shampoo was body wash and conditioner. The advertised picture is taken off the owner's balcony which is close to the water but about 300 feet from our rented cabin. There is good reason to call this place Hummingbird cabins. We were given breakfast the first morning of fresh fruit and yogurt with a delicious fresh raspberry muffin. Very yummy. The hummingbirds were plentiful and as we sat on the owner's charming balcony they put on quite a show. However we decided to forego breakfast the next morning because we weren't interested in having to wake up at a certain time, and we had brought lots of food of our own. It is important to let future visitors know in the ad that there is no running water and no kichenette in the cabins. If you are staying over night that is no problem, but staying for any extended time folks should know that you need to bring camping supplies. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much. We found the host owner to be warm, friendly and highly engaging and the area of Fauquier is rustic and beautiful.
