Our City and County of San Francisco certified home is a great example of a fast Wi-fi equipped, "painted lady" San Francisco Victorian home. It has been beautifully restored with the addition of a spacious, modern, and fully equipped kitchen that includes a gas range, dishwasher, large refrigerator, microwave - convection ovens, LED TV with DVR & Cable, etc.
From the elegantly designed entrance staircase, guests enter our foyer through 130+ year old stained glass - wood doors, then enter a bright living room with a restored carrara marble fireplace, a 12 foot ceiling (prevalent in most of the home), and a 3D - LED TV with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Vudu, YouTube, DVD, DVR, Cable, etc. connectivity. An exquisitely furnished dining room (table seats 6) is between the living room and kitchen. The spacious master bedroom has a queen size bed (with comfortable mattress topper), and also has a restored carrara marble fireplace. The master bathroom with rare, ca. 1885 stained glass window - is elegantly restored with carrara marble, and has a beautiful claw foot bathtub with upper and handheld showers. The spacious first office (originally a bedroom) contains a roll top desk, book library, and a comfortable - full size sofa. The guest bedroom is en suite (with the second office and second bathroom). It contains an antique full size bed (not suitable for extra tall/large guests) with an antique dresser. The spacious second office contains a large counter style work space, book library, LED TV, and a concealed laundry center (washer, dryer, hamper, and ironing board). The second bathroom contains a full size bath tub with an upper - handheld shower, and is elegantly restored with wainscoting and porcelain floor tiles. Off the large kitchen is a sun room with a comfortable reading chair and small dining table. Accessible from the sun room and guest suite is a wind protected deck with table seating for 4+. There are excellent, verdant garden views from the sun room and deck.
Due to stairs, lack of child safety devices, etc. our home is not recommended for children.
Our home is also not recommended for anyone who would have difficulty climbing 16 steps to our front door.
Beneath our home on the ground level is a large one vehicle garage (available at extra cost), and an apartment that is occupied by a wonderful tenant.
3 hybrid (sport comfort) bicycles are available at extra cost.

Guests have access to our home and upper deck only. Our ground level patio with stairway is not to be accessed by guests.
Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Written permission must be requested and obtained in writing (in advance of above check in and check out times) from owners only for early check-in and/or late check-out. Unapproved late check-outs will result in min. $100 - $250 being deducted from the security deposit.
Key collection and deposit info is provided once reservation is confirmed by owners. The owners are available 24/7 by phone (preferred) or email.

Oftentimes, we will meet guests upon their arrival and/or departure. Normally, we do not stay at the property when it is occupied by guests.
After first contacting 911 for emergencies, please immediately contact owners by phone with any operating/damage issues, and emergencies so we can ensure everything meets or exceeds your expectations. Kindly note your immediate contact is required so any operating/damage issues can be quickly addressed for your own comfort as well as the comfort of subsequent guests. Please do not wait until check out to report operating/damage issues as this could delay the remedy for you and subsequent guests.

Use of single garage space is not included in pricing. If guest requires use of the garage space, the rental fee will be an additional $25 per day, $150 per week, $350 per month, and $25 per 24 hours or part thereof for extra nights.
Use of 1 - 3 hybrid (sport comfort models) bicycles is not included in pricing. If guests require use of our bicycles, the rental fee per bicycle will be $25 per day, $95 per week, and $25 per day for extra days or part thereof.

Summary of House Rules
No suitcases, travel bags, or other objects are to be dragged or rolled on exterior stairs and all interior hardwood floors as this will cause damage, as well as noise issues for our tenant downstairs. Shoes are not worn in the home.
Extra quiet hours are 9:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
This is not a home for parties/business - conference - hosting events/wedding ceremonies-receptions, etc.
No pets and no smoking anywhere on the property. This includes all indoor and outdoor areas.
Primary renter must be minimum 25 years old.
Due to lack of child safety devices, noise concerns, and the well-restored, historical nature of our home - it is not suitable for younger children. Our home is also not suitable for adults that would have difficulty climbing 16 steps to our front door.
For meetings, and/or any activity that brings extra guests to the house, there are additional use fees and security deposits based on the size and type of activity. Specific written permission must be requested from owners and obtained in writing from owners prior to activity.
This is a private home in an elegant SF neighborhood - quiet and respectful behavior at all times is required. Locked cabinets - cupboards - closets are not to be opened. Entertainment system wiring is not to be tampered with in any way. Charges will be deducted from the security deposit for all infractions of house rules.
Additional cleaning fees will be deducted from security deposit if property is not left in reasonable condition upon check-out.
Detailed house rules will be sent in a pdf file, and are contained in the guest handbook in our home, which must be read by each guest.

We love cosmopolitan cities as well and we are fortunate to have a Victorian home in San Francisco in addition to our ocean view home on the Pacific Coast at Bodega Bay.
