A spacious Chicago apartment on the North Side with a double bed, 50" flat screen tv, wii u, apple tv, and games are the perfect recipe for your time in Chicago. One block from Lake Michigan, one block from the Red Line, and close to restaurants.

Come see the neighborhood Tina Fey once called home! Located in East Rogers Park, our apartment is minimalist but cozy-- a great setting to experience Chicago. There is a full living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, tea kettle, rice cooker, blender, toaster, etc. so you can enjoy dinner in. Our dining room has a large table and windows that look down to the street below. The living room has a 50" tv which you can use, as well as a BluRay/DVD player, apple tv, and wii u. There is a double bed with a dresser and available closet in case you want to unpack anything. We recently put in two AC window units, or if you prefer open air it gets a nice breeze from the lake.

The entire apartment is yours to use, including the laundry room (coin operated) which is downstairs. You may use the games, the wii u, and apple tv, but you would need to log into your own accounts (netflix, hulu, etc.) Otherwise, the tv gets all the regular channels, or you can make use of our BluRay/DVD collection. You can read a book, or use the games in the closet, but please be sure that all the pieces make it back in the box. Wifi is also available, we'll leave the password for you.

I (Sarah) will meet you when you arrive to give you the keys, the tour, and if you want, tell you about what there is to do in Chicago, and where all the best spots are. After that, the space is yours to use and although I'm local, you might not see me again. If you have any other questions while you are there, you can email me or text me.

East Rogers Park is known for its diversity and relaxed family vibe, but it provides great access to all that Chicago has to offer. We are one block from Lake Michigan (3 min walk), two blocks from the red line and very close to coffee shops, restaurants, cocktail lounges, theaters, and live music. If you want to pick up some groceries there is a great corner market two blocks away. If you are driving in, there is free street parking, and also parking at the beach, which is free overnight.

The red line, which is about a 5 min walk, runs 24 hours a day and if you go south it passes through a lot of cool neighborhoods in Chicago. Going north its just a short ride to Evanston. The express bus that stops out on the street below is a quick 30 minute ride to the Downtown/Loop as well, or there is a Divvy Bike station two blocks from the apartment. You could easily enjoy riding the bike down the trail by the Lake.

We will provide bath and beach towels for guests upon your arrival, and share the wifi password with you.

Sarah was a great host! With her busy work schedule she wasn't able to meet us, but had her friend meet us on arrival. She provided lots of information beforehand, and everything was set for our arrival. The apartment was lovely with everything we needed for our stay, including a full kitchen. There was a nice breeze coming through the windows, we didn't need the air conditioner. It's a quaint neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby including Giordano's. Parking was a little difficult coming home late at night, but with the train nearby there's no need for a rental. Would definitely recommend staying at Sarah's!

Sarah was very welcoming and a great host. She gave a lot of great information about Chicago. Unfortunately, due to our timing, we were unable to meet face to face, but Sarah was very accommodating for our situation. The place was very comfortable and a very good value for Rogers Park.

Sarah was very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was lovely and very clean and tidy. The neighborhood looked fun but being only 1 block from the L meant we could go downtown easily. We would unquestionably stay there again!

Rogers Park is a gorgeous neighborhood with tall brick apartments and big trees lined down every street. Public transportation, the lake, and a local market are only a block away from the apartment which made staying there magical! My partner and I were able to travel through out Chicago with ease and comfort. When we arrived at the apartment Sarah welcomed us and walked us up to the apartment where she went through the house rules and showed us around the apartment. Sarah was very sweet and told us to let her know if we needed anything. During our stay it became pretty cold one night and Sarah had actually text us asking if we needed any extra blankets and if so to just let her know. Everything about the apartment from the entertainment available (wii, movies, board games, etc.) to the open space and beautiful scenery was absolutely comforting and homey. Sarah did an amazing job making sure my partner and I were comfortable. I don't think the apartment could be anymore perfect location and space wise.

Sarah met us at the apartment and made us feel most welcome. The neighborhood and amenities are just as described in the listing. There is a bus stop right outside the apartment, and it is an easy walk to shops and Red line train to Downtown. The neighborhood has a safe feel to it, and Lake Michigan is only minutes away. The apartment was clean and very well equipped. The only detractions were the traffic noise from Sheridan Road was at times quite noticeable, especially if the windows were open, and the air-conditioner in the bedroom was rather noisy. We used it to cool the room down and then used only the electric fan overnight. Street parking could be challenging at busy times. We were there in quite hot and humid weather and managed to trip one of the fuses when running both air-conditioners and the electric fan. Sarah responded very quickly to our call for help and came around and sorted out the problem.

Sarah and Kristopher's apartment was located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood across the street from a delicious cafe (The Growling Rabbit). It was tidy and included anything you would need during your stay and conveniently located by the Red line and a frequently running bus line.

Lots of windows, tastefully decorated, firm mattress, helpful hosts...would recommend to anyone visiting Chicago. Close to red line, and short walk to Heartland Cafe (awesome breakfasts.
