Información sobre este anuncio
This house is very old, about 200 years, and has expressed beams and pillars. It is in fact a converted stable but has all modern comforts. The terrace has a dramatic view over a ravine and the music provided by the river Alzeau is mesmeric.
What makes my house unique is its character. You will have seen the fireplace from the photos. The panels over it and on the whole front wall of the living-room are of tolled leather and came from Niger (Africa) where the former owner worked.
Servicios y zonas comunes
You have access to the whole house, including the terrace and a small seating space at the front, useful when the sun is too hot for the terrace.
Atención a los huéspedes
I will not be there when you are but my neighbours are friendly. they are French-speaking for the most part but you will find lots of English speakers living in the village.
Otros aspectos destacables
I damaged the kitchen sink, which is ceramic. I'm to get it mended in September. For the moment, let water down the small sink at the right......or empty the basin down the right side of the terrace! There is a septic tank. Each week flush a packet of Eparcyl or similar product (supplied in bathroom) down the toilet to keep the septic tank happy. I have never had any trouble with it.
I expect guests to respect my property......They always do! I leave my house exactly as it is when I live in it myself. There are no locked cupboards! I do, however, create some wardrobe space before I leave. The terrace and the street in front of the house could be dangerous for small children. I do not allow smoking in the house. I would rather not accommodate pets.....though I am a cat lover!

I am a single lady who should be retired from life in teaching and in the Civil Service......but I'm still working as a teacher trainer! I like good food and wine, reading and singing. I love France and all things French.
