Lovely, spacious, quiet fully furnished apartment in residential neighborhood of Flushing, Queens. Great restaurants and shopping in the neighborhood, rich in Asian food and culture. Near botanical garden, tennis and baseball. Public transportation minutes away. Easy ride to Manhattan.
My spacious 1-bedroom garden apartment is in a residential area of Flushing, Queens, within a half hour's ride to Manhattan. It is close to the #7 subway train and the Long Island Railroad Murray Hill station. The neighborhood is very Asian, with authentic restaurants, cafes, greengrocers, Chinese dim sum, Korean barbecue, etc. The Queens Historical Society, Quaker Meeting House and Victorian cottage bird garden are within walking distance. My place is SMOKE-free, PERFUME-free and PET-free. It is very comfortable, clean and charming. The kitchen is large and sunny. The bedroom faces a garden and has ample closet space. The living room is nicely furnished. Newly refinished oak parquet floors throughout, so kindly remove shoes upon entering and put suitcases atop shelf or in coat closet.

I worked for the United Nations in NY, Geneva, Cyprus and East Africa. I enjoy traveling and meeting people from around the world. I speak fluent English and can get by in French, Spanish and Greek. I am an avid photographer who has documented Queens neighborhoods and culture for 25 years. I also enjoy teaching English to non-native speakers. My favorite places to visit are museums, galleries, concert halls, big parks and beaches. I love living in Queens because it has communities from all over the world - great ethnic restaurants, shopping, cultures, festivals, etc. When I'm not hosting guests in Queens, I enjoy my time in the great state of Maine.
