Wow! So this was my first airbnb experience and I've got to say that it was a great way to get my airbnb cherry popped. Andre was a phenomenal host, the listing is accurate, and the location was fantastic.
I knew I would arrive in HK late, and so I made that very clear to Andre. He had no problem with it and was very accommodating. When the day came, I actually arrived in the vicinity after midnight by taking the A21. The directions he provided were accurate, but I wasn't aware that the mall I was to walk through was open despite the hours, especially with the escalators off. Well lugging around heavy luggage up and down non operating escalators was a giant pain! I luckily found someone who helped me call Andre... and guess what?! He told me to stay put, and came over within 10 minutes to help me withmy bags and lead the way to his place! Obviously YMMV depending on how he feels, but that was incredible for me. My personal recommendation if you get there late? Take a taxi once you reach Hung Hom. It will probably cost only HKD $22. You won't regret it!
Andre was willing to hang out with me as much as I wanted and as his schedule allowed. He was very polite and I was very pleased we had quite a few things in common. The place itself offers round trip shuttle service to and from TST that runs every 15 minutes like clockwork between something like 7am and 10pm. Super convenient and much better bang for your buck than staying at guest houses in Chunking Mansion lol!
I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Andre's airbnb again next time I'm in HK!
