The house is located within the area of world-famous giant Buddhist Stupa Boudhanath. Most of Buddhist households in Kathmandu Valley are settled here. You can explore the area with its dozens of eateries, coffee shops, traditional handicrafts stores, Buddhist monasteries and much more easily on your foot. There are plenty of yoga, meditation classes and Buddhist seminars around going on all the time.
For venturing out further of the area you can easily grab a white-coloured taxi. Some of nearby points of interest are:
- Pashupatinath Temple (10min by taxi or 30-40min by walk)
- Kopan Monastery (15min by taxi or 1-1.5hr by walk)
- Thamel market (20-30min by taxi)

There is no full light backup for electricity cuts-off. However there are LED rechargeable lamps and torchlights available. Also there are 3 lamps from solar battery which work when there is no light (in the big bedroom, kitchen and TV room only). As well as a separate rechargeable battery for WiFi. Wifi is limited to 15GB per month only.
The mattresses at home are mostly of hard type, made of coconut coir, as it is usual for Nepal and India.
As we do not smoke or drink alcohol at all, we advise you to avoid the same at our house. However smoking upstairs at the rooftop will be fine, as well as the alcohol consumption within genuine restraint limits within the house.
Please NO visitors to house from the outside after 8pm for your personal safety as well as of our house!
Keep the noise to the minimum after 10pm, as the surrounding neighborhood tends to go to bed by this time. As the area gate is common for few surrounding neighboring houses, and it is often locked up after 10pm, try to be back home before this time (in case if it's not possible you will have to contact by mobile the neighbors requesting them to open the gate).
The cleaning will be done before your check-in and after your check-out. If you wish to have the house be cleaned during your stay, each time will cost additional 12$.
Though there is no washing machine at the house, you still can do the light laundry by yourself. You can also use the laundry service (ar.6-8min of walk from the house).
Please treat all the things and utilities at home as you would do in your own. Switch off the lights, WiFi and while leaving the house.
