Descripción

2 bedroom suite within our 3600 square foot, 200 year old home, located on US Route 1, Searsport, Maine. The suite is self contained with private bath and 2 adjoining rooms with both a king and a queen sized bed, seating area, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, and table for two. Off street parking, perennial flowerbeds, vegetable gardens, 2 dogs, cat, and goats. 15 minutes from Belfast, 2 minutes to Sears Island Nature Preserve, 1 hour to Bar Harbor.

You invited to stay in an authentic 19th Century Ship Captains home which retains all of its original charm with modern conveniences.

The private suite includes two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with a four poster queen sized. The suite has its own full bath, refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster oven.

Guests will have access to our perennial flowerbeds, grape arbor, laundry facilities, vegetable gardens, and limited kitchen use. The home is owned by 2 restaurant professionals who will gladly provide homemade and locally sourced meals upon request.

Guests will have a private full bath, access to laundry facility, study, tv room, outdoor spaces, and limited kitchen use.

We live in the home and will be available at check in and are available for any questions which our guests may have regarding their stay with us.

We are also professional chefs who will provide meals upon request and for an additional fee.

We are located directly on historic Route 1, 2 miles from the center of Searsport, which is home to the Penobscot Marine Museum, 3 restaurants, numerous antique shops, a grocery store, public dock, public beaches, parks, and Hamilton Marine, which is one of the most respected marine stores in the nation. Sears Island is located less than 1 mile from our home which has miles of hiking trails, beaches, and great kayaking.

There is a bus stop for Concorde Coach Lines 1 mile from our home which has two daily runs to Boston.

The home is conveniently located on US Route 1 with easy drives to Belfast and Camden to the south, Ellsworth and Bar Harbor to the north, and the Bangor area is an easy 35 minute drive inland.

Since we are located on route 1, there is a fair amount of traffic on our road. The house is very good at blocking sound, but if you are accustomed to sleeping in the middle of the woods with your windows open listening to the crickets, we may not be the location for you.

We are a relatively TV free home, there are none in any of our bedrooms. We do have a TV room that is available for the guests to use. We do not have cable but we do have Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu.

Horario de llegada: de las 12:00 a las 00:00.

We are opening our home to guests and hope/expect that you will respect our property. We are a smoke free property. Since we are a small homestead with a barn, animals, and hay; cigarettes and their smelly fire hazard are not conducive to our happy, healthy and safe home.

We also ask that you not invite guests onto our property without prior consent from us. We welcome beer and wine to be responsibly consumed by guests over 21 years of age.

Although our animals love humans and human food; including your fingers, clothing etc, these are not a great diet for our furry family. Goats like to chomp down on objects put near their mouths, please make sure that's not your hand. Also, the fencing is electrified it's not a show of coolness nor strength to see how long one can hold the fence, regardless of what the house teenagers tell you.

Finally, we ask that you have fun, laugh, eat good food, and enjoy this beautiful part of the Maine coast.

Angie's description of her place description is spot on. It's an old captain's home with very tall ceilings, and the suite seemed even larger than I imagined, with lots of charming character. The bathroom was spotless, ample thick towels, and a jetted tub. The king size bed was very comfortable. In the other room (with the queen bed) there's a small table with 2 chairs, and a couple of other chairs in the room. It was a nice surprise when Angie arrived home with a bottle of wine and delicious cheese for us. There were several brochures and maps about the region which we appreciated browsing. The room with the queen bed has a coffee maker, toaster oven and fridge. From the very hospitable family to the friendly dogs and comfortable and cozy accomodations, I highly recommend!

I highly recommend this beautiful and historic Airbnb. My mother and I loved our stay. There were two beautiful, spacious and comfortable rooms with awesome beds and great WIFI. We had our own separate bathroom with shower that was perfect. The hosts, Angie and Chris, were lovely and even provided us some wine and cheese from the area to enjoy on our first night. Nothing but positivity from this great rental.

We had a great experience here. The rooms were nice and private. The added touches like the wine and cheese were fantastic. They even had a toothbrush available which I took advantage of because I forgot mine! The kitten and goats were also friendly.

Angie is a very welcoming and social host. She made us feel like the home was ours and made us feel comfortable with her friends and family who were around. Our stay was short and sweet, I would recommend this place for its beautiful interiors and old historic.

In the short time that I was there, Angie was a very accommodating of us arriving relatively late and leaving relatively early. Everything was as expected and great! The two rooms were very clean and neat, and the added excitement of Halloween decorations was a bonus! I would definitely recommend this place!

Angie was a great host, very accommodating during booking process, and offered flexible check in times. The location was everything we were looking for while in the area for a wedding.

What a lovely family who shares their home with travelers! Private rooms with lots of old home decor. Convenient location about an hour away from Bar Harbor. Belfast is an awesome town to visit too! Angie and Shawn provided lots of helpful tips for a scenic drive through Maine and NH.

I am a happily married woman with two fantastic teenage daughters. I love cooking, wine, traveling, animals, and gardening.

I have been in the restaurant industry for 25 years, I'm even married to the industry, my husband is a chef.

We have a very close group of family and friends that we travel with, cook for, and drink wine with (yes, there is a pattern to my life). I have always had the home that is open to our friends, so hosting on AirBnB is basically a no-brainer for me.
