I arrived from the airport with a 2-hours delay which made Wes wait quite a bit, but he didn't complain at all and welcomed me really nicely, showing me around and nicely introducing me to the other person staying in the flat. I would recommend this room for a short-stay. It's position makes it really convenient, 2-3mn walk to Little India MRT and 5mn walks to a big market and food shops. In 10-13 dhoby ghaut is reached. The appartmwnt itself is really clean, new and has an amazing pool and a little gym. Thanks to Wes who helped with all my questionning and welcomed me so well :)
This place is a bit of a mixed-bag. The neighbourhood, being very close to Little India, is awesome. The apartment itself is modern and pleasant, with a good pool. A few issues, however. The room... not so great. It's not really that the room is small, although it is - it's that the bed is VERY uncomfortable, and also moves about an inch and a half if you lean on it in a certain way. I suppose it's a matter of personal preference whether you mind that the Airbnb 'host' does not live in the property, which is true in this case - Wes rents out every room in this place to other guests, and just comes along to check people in. Personally I think that's getting away from the classical attraction of Airbnb, which is to get a 'feel' for the city you're in by staying with locals. Overall, I think these things would be forgivable if the price was lower. But what Wes is charging here is a lot for what is, essentially, a tiny room, and a bed that will give most people over the age of 21 back problems.
