Apartment features a bathtub bathroom, a small but complete gas stove, refrigerator, and sink kitchenette, a comfortable full sized bed (and a second comfy aerobed) and a charming fire escape window view of the building's inner courtyard. Very quiet neighborhood and apartment; no noisy city sounds to keep you awake at night. WiFi is included. There's no TV in the apartment. But there is a 24” computer monitor if you want to plug a laptop in and watch movies or do work.
If you're interested in my space, I'd love to hear from you.
This building was built in the pre-depression era. It has its quirks. But It is indeed a serene, clean, well located, and safe place to stay in New York. If the luxury experience is truly your thing, then this might not be your place. But it might! I will do my best to accommodate you, but my place is neither a hotel or luxury. It is simply a serene and clean West Village studio.
Thanks for visiting, hope to hear from you soon, Carl
Wondering where to get the best falafel in town, just ask me! Things like, you want to rent a real bicycle (sorry CitiBike) but don't know a good local bike shop, well, I do and I'm happy to help.
Despite its wealthy, celeb-heavy demographic and a profusion of restaurants and boutiques, the West Village manages to preserve a low-key, everyone-knows-everyone feel and picturesque charm. Only here could West 10th Street cross West 4th Street, and Waverly Place cross…Waverly Place. The area’s bohemian population may have dwindled years ago, but a few old landmarks remain. Raise a glass in the White Horse Tavern, a favorite of such literary luminaries as Ezra Pound, Norman Mailer, and Dylan Thomas, or enjoy a jazz set at the legendary Village Vanguard. While the gay scene has largely migrated north, the West Village played a pivotal role in the gay-rights movement, and many shops, bars and restaurants along Christopher Street from Sheridan Square to the Hudson River pier are out, loud and proud, including the historic Stonewall Inn.
To truly see everything worth seeing, walk, walk, walk...or bike!
