Hi, I'm a New Zealander living on the Sunshine Coast. My daughter has moved to the USA and there's only myself and my husband Bernhard in this beautiful home that looks north towards Noosa. I'm a private midwife on call 24/7 and am passionate about normal empowering births. Most of my women choose to birth in a sacred and spiritual environment - their home. I involve my clients in alternative health therapies to empower them to birth naturally and calmly and to have the best birthing experience possible.
We love our coastline beaches, and it's only an 8 minute drive to Mooloolaba, Cotton Tree and Maroochydore beaches where the waves are for gentle surfers most of the time. I love body surfing, - using the surfboard was a bit of a challenge!!
Bernhard and I love to travel; Europe, South America, Africa, we have only just begun and next year we will take off for a year or two exploring the world using our TEASOL to work in communities teaching English. Last year Bernhard took part in the Triathalon Ironman in Roth Germany with buddies before we travelled on through France (at the time of the Tour de France), exploring the Alps down to the coast. Loved it!!
We enjoy reading, socialising, Ausie BBQ's, healthy foods and healthy cooking, exersize for fun and fitness, our pets - a cat and a dog; walking the beaches and exploring the country in our 4 wheel drive Troop carrier which has been converted to a camper. Bernhard is an keen gardener so you'll find all sorts of tropical plants and fruit in and around our property.
We are casual in appearance, love time with our good friends, meeting people, and having a good laugh.
As a host and hostess we can help you plan your exploration of the Sunshine Coast , tell you about good restaurants, shopping, walks, scenery, activities and ensure you have a restful stay at our house. You can relax by the pool, do lengths if you're a swimmer, lift some weights, cook up a BBQ, and if you require, we can provide you with breakfast. There's the internet, TV, Apple TV, and all sorts of reading material should it be a cooler day for inside activities. We can accommodate most preferences so your stay is what you want.
