This lovely 2-bedroom guesthouse is located north of Montana Avenue in one of Santa Monica’s premier residential neighborhoods. Colorful, modern prints adorn the walls and add to the casual elegance.

Close to the beach, this quiet, comfortable space is equally suitable for a weekend getaway or an extended stay. At the top of the carpeted entry stairs, the main hallway opens to two bedrooms on the left, full bath on the right and leads into the living/dining area. A modern sectional couch faces the large HDTV with DirecTV; the dining area has a drop-leaf table that opens to seat 4, separated from the cozy kitchen area by a polished granite breakfast bar. The granite counters continue into the efficient kitchenette with a two-burner gas cooktop, stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a large stainless steel sink with full tiled backsplash. There is a complete set of dishes, cookware and glassware, making it easy to whip up a quick breakfast, make a picnic for the beach, or create a complete gourmet meal.

The master bedroom has a queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress topper. Two overstuffed armchairs and side table create a cozy sitting area and the large, walk-in closet provides ample storage for your belongings. The second bedroom has two twin beds, and a stack washer/dryer in the large closet. There is plenty of space to hang your clothes too. The bath has a full steam shower/bath with a glass enclosure, tiled floors and large vanity with a single sink.

Large windows throughout provide treetop views and plenty of fresh ocean air. This conveniently located home is a 5-minute walk to Palisades Park overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica beach. Stroll along the bluff at sunset, or just sit in the beautiful park and enjoy the view. There is easy beach access via a nearby pedestrian overpass; the sand is less than10 minutes away.You are a pleasant 15-minute walk to the 3rd Street Promenade and the heart of Santa Monica, bustling with shopping, 5-star dining, theaters, street performers and the authentic flavor of this beachside community. Don’t miss the world-famous Santa Monica Pier, home of Pacific Park – the only west coast amusement park on an ocean pier – and the historic Santa Monica Carousel.

If you are in the mood for more shopping, you are less than 15 minutes from the Montana Avenue shopping district, “Rodeo Drive West”, with endless boutiques, gourmet restaurants, shops and galleries. Inquire about bicycle rentals to get a different perspective, and ask about our last minute specials for that impromptu trip.The centrally located apartment makes a great ‘home base’ for exploring Venice, Malibu, Westwood, Hollywood, and beyond. Take a drive up the coast, head to the Santa Monica Mountains for a hike, visit the Venice Boardwalk for a one-of-a-kind experience, or make the short trip to the renowned Getty Museum; sample the diversity and excitement of the Westside. There is truly something for everyone here.

On May 12, 2015, the Santa Monica City Council adopted the Home-Sharing Ordinance reiterating its ban on the rental of entire units as vacation rentals. (this is an exempt guest house where the owner lives in main house) The Home-Sharing Ordinance also legalized the short term rental of a portion of a person’s home when the host lives on-site throughout the visitor’s stay and when the host obtains a business license. Hosts are also required to collect and remit Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) if not collected and remitted by the hosting platform. Our business license number is 216567

Our vacation in Santa Monica was wonderful. The house was well maintained, clean and spacious. Nice appliances but the sink clogged up easily. The access to the house was done thru the alley and it worked very well. Nice location, walking distance from the beach, supermarket and coffee shops. Nice and quite neighborhood. To add up, everything was according to our expectations.

We had a great stay at this lovely Santa Monica guesthouse. Very comfortable, great area close to the beach and walking distance to 3rd St Promenade. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting our host but that was fine. We found the place and had no issues.

First of all, the location was very good. The neighbourhood is calm and you can get to the "coast" in a few minutes by foot. the apartement was clean and had enough of space. We were staying there in 6 in total. So 2 had to sleep on the couch, which wasn't a big problem for just 3 nights. But for up to 4 people it's perfect with the two bedrooms. We had a nice stay there
