[please read full description before booking!]
short 4-7 min walk from both the A and 1 Subway Lines. The bed is queen size. There's clean linen, small fridge, coffee maker, walk-in closet with hangars & everything you need for a stay in NYC!
High ceilings, big closet & private room. The room has a small fridge. The only downside is its a relatively small apartment and there isn't much of a lounge area or traditional kitchen (although you are welcome to use the stove :)). I am still more than willing to help you know anything about getting yourself set up, the neighborhood, or tourist spots (although I'd probably not have time to guide you myself... depends).
Servicios y zonas comunes
You can access the hallway, coat rack, stove, bathroom & of course, your room!

I was born and raised in NYC so can definitely help you with getting around and would love to do that. I am also a working professional so I am not sure how much time I would have to help though.
Otros aspectos destacables
I have two very friendly cats! Please keep this in mind if you have allergies. You do not have to keep them in your room but the apartment is a bit small and one cat is particularly affectionate to new people... hopefully you don't hate cute cats :) also! If you have a sensitivity to any odors that are transient in the hallway or a few cat hairs PLEASE do not book. I keep the place (relatively, by my own standard) clean, but naturally in a small apartment the cats do their business in a common area in a litter box that automatically cleans itself. There is a smell when that happens for about 15 minutes in the hall but that is normal when you have cats. This is my home and not a hotel (and the price compared to an NYC hotel should reflect that), so i want to make that explicit so that if you book, we're on the same page and there's no kind of misunderstanding. Thank you for actually reading! :)
Just be sincere, relatively clean and not too noisy. The room is in a a pre-war building so the floors are wood beneath the tiles and can creak a bit. So while I in no way would like to impede on your right to enjoy your night, I would expect that dancing, dance dance revolution or martial arts and the like could be done in a studio or club somewhere ;p
Besides that, don't leave open food containers. Since its NYC, I would really like to keep the place pest-free.
Lastly, if you smoke, there is a big area in front of the building specifically for that :)
Hi, I am a young working professional. Just trying to make use of all of this space as I find after life in the military, it is too much for me to have an entire apartment (lol). I enjoy learning foreign languages (I can speak quite a bit of Spanish, Japanese and Chinese if you need any translations!), creating music and software and trying to keep a balance between living a productive and a grateful life.
I am not exactly running this as a hotel business and I have to spend a lot of mental energy at work, so if you would need somebody to be super accommodating, I may not be the right fit. My goal here on AirBNB is simply to make my space useful for anyone needing a few nights to stay in NYC and hopefully networking and meeting new people along the way.
I am very friendly and easy going though so if I have the time would absolutely not mind to chat or give you tips on life in New York :)
