No bedding had two very stinky blankets that reeked of dog. I had such an attack I left and slept in my car. Got list on the way since path was not super clear. Nightmare

Glamping indeed! The hike up wasn't bad- certainly nothing like some of the 'imaginative' (i.e. dramatic) unfavorable reviews I read! Rich green foliage, a creek, frogs, ripe blackberries, and elk lurking somewhere nearby. Tiny red cabin had 2 full beds, a counter space, enough blankets to go around, a small pantry shelf, and some old fashioned board game entertainment. Composting toilet out back was clean and kept. It was a nice quiet break from the noise of the city and a comfy place to crash during our road trip! Hosting family was polite and helpful. Thank you!

Don and Able were both very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a secluded and simple stay, this is the place.

The Red Cabin served as a nice little base camp while exploring Mt St. Helens. It is scenic and cozy. The set up falls closer to the 'camping' side on the clamping spectrum. The electricity worked during my whole stay, but I would recommend bringing your own lamp or tea lights just in case. The composting toilet is out in the open, but surrounded by trees and far away from the house or trails. I recommend checking in during daylight hours so you have adequate light to climb up the trail and get settled in. Donal was great and followed up quickly with all my questions.
