While there is an elevator at Nawal's place, you do need to go up a short set of stair to get to it as well as to Nawal's place. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The shower is very nice and modern. Nawal was very good at responding to messages and has lots of information about where to go and what to do in Amsterdam. The restaurant she recommended was very good. She had a map and a few brochures already available for us to use, so we didn't need to go out and find one.

Nawal est très agréable , et donne de bonnes explications en plus elle parle très bien français. Par contre, L appartement Est très cher pour la prestation proposée. Manque de propreté et très désordonné.

I had good time staying at Nawal. I highly recommend a walk around the lake nearby & a visit to the little shopping centre with the small food court.

Nawal's place was perfect for my first trip to Amsterdam. It was a quick and easy tram ride into the city, and the surroundings were beautiful and quiet. Nawal made us feel very welcome and comfortable, and was such a great host.

Nawal was really helpful to assist us with the check in. She provided suggestions for dining/travel and pick us up on arrival to make up for not being to check us in on the agreed time-- which is greatly appreciated. The room has a nice lake view with comfy beds. However there're cat fur around the place so it's not recommendable if you're allergic to cats. The next morning I was surprised that breakfast is not provided although it's listed on the description and the title of this listing says B&B. Apparently we need to tell the host in advance if we need the breakfast and pay for it. Also coffee is not provided although there's a coffee machine in the house. The host kindly made us coffee for the first 2 days since I asked but she told me she's not going to provide any more coffee and we need to buy our own coffee but I'm only staying for 3 nights. I thought coffee was mandatory after all the experiences of staying at many Airbnb places and even the cheapest hostels. This is a little inconvenient for the travelers. The kitchen & living area & toilet are spacious but full of the host's stuffs and she's always sitting in the living area. She's quite nice but we didn't feel comfortable enough to 'intrude' her spaces. The shower room was clean but soap/shampoo is not provided so you need to bring your own. Overall experience was okay for a short stay but we need to feel more welcomed. Anyway thanks Nawal for accommodating us. :)

Respuesta de Nawal:
Hi Peiwen, I'm really surprised and sorry you feel this way. I even asked you if it was all okay. It is written on the add that breakfast is only on demand as me buying milk or meat as a vegan is not a desire and you said you understood. Actually no guests expect coffee or food, I don't mind giving it I just told you it is normally not mandatory. As for the cats you know they are there (its on the add) and its hard to battle their fur. Then my biggest surprise is you felt you were intruding! Guests always sit with me in the living room. Read even other reviews. Guests have even joined me for diner on many occasions (and yes I offered it for free). You always came in late so that is normally my bedtime, so I guess it was not then the occasion? For the toiletries, there is a bunch in the bathroom you could have taken. I always collect them from hotels. You could have just asked. But thanks for the advise I will put them in the room what I normally do but this time I didn't for some reason, but also that is not mandatory btw. Too bad the communication had to go this way, I am always a very open go to person and therefor really surprised this happened. I did enjoy your stay and we did have fun chats. Do have fun in your further travels!

Nawal's house was comfortable. She was helpful and gave us advice on what to do and how to get around Amsterdam. Her house is a bit far from the City Centre--like 4 miles. So either bike or take the tram to the city. The tram is reasonably priced, €2.80/trip. Overall, it was a nice stay!
