Descripción

Lovely afternoon sun streams through this peaceful room with a queen size pillow-top bed. Located on a quiet residential street w/public transportation within 2-3 blocks. Cafes, restaurants, bars, organic grocery store, laundry mat, etc., nearby.

Come stay in the charming neighborhood of Bernal Heights, within walking distance of the Mission District and only 20 minutes away from downtown via public transportation. From our deck, you will see the famous "Hill," which offers a panoramic view of the entire city and only a 6 minute walk from our home.

You will have unlimited free off-street parking (no permit required) and easy access to public transportation.

Your room is furnished with a very comfortable queen size bed which basks in the wonderful and yummy afternoon sun. New Acacia hardwood floors, a large walk-in closet and custom made diamond light bay windows typical of Edwardian homes highlights this room.

Your private bathroom is located next to your bedroom.

Our home is a wonderful 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, well-maintained Edwardian house (not an apartment), on a safe and quiet street. Our home has a lovely healing and spiritual vibration and we take pride in its calm and peaceful energy.

We have a deck overlooking the bay, a large kitchen with a sunny nook, and a living room with a working fireplace.

Our neighborhood is full of cafes, restaurants, yoga studios, a bookstore, library, a wine bar, bakery, parks, and pleasant hikes with sweeping views of San Francisco. There is permit-free off street parking available; just be mindful of street cleaning signs to avoid parking tickets.

We are 2 to 3 blocks away from major bus lines. You can also take a 7-minute bus ride to the train station (BART) or walk there in just 15 minutes while exploring the neighborhoods of Bernal Heights and the Mission District.

We are a lesbian couple and welcome queer and straight folks from everywhere! :-)!

You will have access to the entire kitchen with full amenities, the deck and the living room. Kitchen hours are 8:30 to 10:30am and again in the evenings from 7 to 9:30pm. A dedicated shelf in the refrigerator is available for you to store your food and counter space for your dry goods.

You'll also find a guidebook in your room filled with information about transportation, local sites, and menus from nearby cafes and restaurants.

We interact with guests in an easy and organic way that feels appropriate to each person and situation. We offer plenty of privacy since this bedroom is upstairs and we're mostly downstairs on the main level. On occasion, one of the hosts (Marie) may stay across the hallway from your room, but she's rarely ever seen upstairs. And sometimes we travel and may be away while you are here.

We love our neighborhood! We have many charming restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars, parks and short trails on Bernal Hill with its sweeping 360 degree view of San Francisco. While it's gotten a bit gentrified over the past few years, it still has a down to earth vibe.

Two major bus lines (muni bus #23 & #24) are within 2 to 3 blocks from our home as well as a 7 minute bus ride to the Glen Park BART train station or a nice 15 minute walk to the 24th Street Mission Bart station. We are also 12 minutes away via car from the airport and a couple of minutes away from two major freeways (101 and 280).

We provide complimentary coffee and/or tea in the mornings along with some cinnamon raisin toast, but you are welcome to saunter down the block to the local grocery store and load up on your favorite food items and store them on your dedicated food shelf in the fridge. :) STR-

This is an old (1904) house that has been brought up to date in a beautiful way. The view out of the french doors in the kitchen is great, as is Marie. You couldn't hope to find a happier, bubblier, friendly and helpful host or hostess. There is a grocery store and bus routes nearby, and the Muni is not a long walk. Great stay.

Simply said, what a truly wonderful experience. The hosts, Marie and Nsomeka, are so gracious . This Airbnb lives up to its name--"A Sweet Refugee." I cannot wait to return!

There is beautiful park ' Bernal Hills', which is 15 mins away from Marie home. It was the most beautiful place that I've ever visited SF. The location was perfect so I was able to walk around the neighbor for dinner or lunch. Marie is so friendly and funny. She suggested many places to eat or see in San Francisco. I'm satisfied with my first experience of Airbnb 100%. I had a wonderful stay in Bernal Heights with Marie!

Spent just one quick night here while in SF for business. It really feels just like the picture and description - although those don't convey the warmth of the hosts. Bernal Heights is a sweet neighborhood and this is an old, nicely cared for home in the heart of it. Lots of character along with caring touches of new bright paint, beautiful furnishings, comfy bed and (freshly ironed!) pillows. There are creaks and quirks and the sound of quiet voices and music can be heard through the house sometimes - but frankly that's what I loved about this place. It feels lively and welcoming which is so nice for a traveler.

Marie & Nsomeka home was beautiful and immaculately clean. Very walkable to the shops, restaurants and bars of Bernal Heights. The Mission is about a 15 minute walk away.

i've lived in san francisco for nearly 30 years and can confidently say, i know my city quite intimately; i'm happy to make recommendations to help you have an enjoyable stay as well as help navigate our charming village by the bay.

one of my most nourishing relationships is with mother nature; i enjoy hiking to mountain peaks, through waterfalls, camping through various seasons and taking in all the good medicine that pachamama has to offer. i also enjoy growing and harvesting plant medicine and have a deep abiding reverence for indigenous, buddhist and nature based ceremonies.

i have a reiki practice and work mostly with cancer related clients; i also teach meditation in san francisco and oakland and am a co-founder of a residential meditation center located in berkeley.
