The "ship rooftops" is a charming flat roof, on the third and top floor of a historic house of the fifteenth century with only two houses in the area a short walk from the Arsenale Venice Biennale. The apartment is bright on all sides and has a beautiful view over the rooftops of Venice and a quaint square with benches.
The kitchen is located in the area that resembles the prow of a ship, and has a refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, extractor hood, washing machine, gas stove, electric oven. The dining area has a round table and four chairs in solid wood Kartell, DVD-CD player, radio and library sofa. Ceiling beams and light spotlight.
There is internet wi fi very quick. Furthermore there is a landline phone to receive calls from all over the world.
The floors are typical terrazzo. There are two rooms, one with double bed LCD TV library desk and the other room is very comfortable for one person. The bathroom is in marble, such as door frames, and has a spa close to the window (there is no shower), wc, bidet and washbasin. A marble staircase leads to the upper zone, in the attic, it also attic. This room is ideal for writing, study, think ...
On the ground floor, past the entrance from the street, there is a small closet in the process of accommodation, already useful to leave luggage etc spending. The stairs to climb are quite narrow, with no lift. The house is located in the Castello area, typically Venetian, is also close to San Marco, but outside the main tourist flows. Rarely is subject to the phenomenon of high water. 5-10 minutes walk to the vaporetto stop "Arsenale" and stop "Celestia". Nearby there are many shops pubs and bars typical Venetian style.

One of the best parts of this apartment was the location. It was in a local area that got you away from the huge tourist areas, yet at the same time everything was within walking distance. Licia, was very helpful when I first got there, showing me where the closest super market was, as well as some local resturants. I would highly recommend this apartment.

There were so many wonderful things about this house! I found it with short notice and it was reasonably priced. It's closest ferry stations are Ospedale, Celestia and F.te. Nov. and it's between an hour on vaporetto from Marco Polo airport. The house in a quiet and safe residential area of Venice known as Castello. It's a little disorienting at first but it's easy to get around after a couple days. Licia (the landlord) kindly met me at Celestia and showed me around the neighborhood -- the closest supermarkets, churches and other local sites. While the area is residential, it is on the main island of Venice and about a 15-20 minute walk to the Giardini, Arsenale and San Marco, and about 30 minutes to walk to the Accademia and Rialto Bridge. There are a couple nice cafes and restaurants in the area but I was more inclined to cook at home. The house itself is great! You have to go up two flights of stairs and the entire space is an open plan. It really looks like the photos and is in fact shaped like a boat. It was made sometime in the 1400s or 1500s although the exact date is unknown. It's a brilliant mix of traditional and modern. It's incredibly warm and cozy inside. The bedroom is the perfect size. I slept well every night and in the mornings you can hear the birds and boats. Practically speaking, there is a fridge, stove, sink, working dishwasher and washing machine but no dryer so I usually dried my clothing outside or on a drying rack inside. There are also plenty of dishes, cutlery and pots and pans for cooking. There are sometimes mosquitoes at night, especially if you keep the windows open! Also another major plus is that the house is situated away from the flooding (aqua alta) so this isn't something you have to worry about. Be mindful though about returning: my best advice is to give yourself a couple hours before your flight leaves in order to pack, clean up and allow for mistakes/delays on the way. Definitely recommend coming here, especially if you are are going for the first time like myself! xx

Un contatto sincero e umano, un appartamento piacevole in un quartiere molto simpatico e veneziano, cosa chiedere in più per un soggiorno a Venezia? Abbiamo potuto godere una settimana perfetta!

Fabulous apartment, just the right amount of quirky, great residential location but not too far from anything and a lovely view of rooftops without too many stairs. Licia was a delight to communicate with, as was Erica, who helps with check in. The whole place was very thoughtfully stocked and the hot water system was excellent. Best of both worlds - old world charm with modern convenience. Loved it!

A very nice place to live in Venice, tastily arranged and well equipped!! The rooms were tidy & clean. It's situated in a calmer part of venice, but near enough to take a walk to the center, san marco or rialto! The vaporetto is also near, so really recommended ;-) Last but not least: licia & paolo - I'm sorry we couldn't meet personally - are very nice!! And erica, who made the check-in, is the most lovely person! Thanks to you all for everything!!

Real venecian apartement! As cozy and nice as Venice itself! There is all needed equipment in the flat, comfortable beds and very very cozy upper store. Very quiet district, no tourists. We were warm met by Erica, house manager of Licia, who speaks russian very well :) She adviced us a lot of restaurants and places to go in Venice. Licia left us tasty food greeteing! Erica and Licia always helped us, if we needed. Thanks for good time in Venice, we'll recommend Licia's apartement to our friends!!
