The house house has a bull nose verandah with a closed in BBQ area . In addition the verandah has open space for reading, watching the sheep and chooks graze, and birds bath. Also a decking on the back side of the house.
People may bring their dog/ dogs but they must be kept on a lead once outside the farm house yard, please bring their own bedding. Halsey Hounds Boarding Kennels are very close by when and if you wish to go to the National Parks. Their phone number is (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
The house has two queen size bedrooms one with a single bed in it for a young child, the other has a cot, one double room and one single bedroom, everything is there, including electric blankets, no need to bring any linen or pillows.
The lounge room has a TV DVD Player with a wood heater, a separate dinning room with wood heater. However we only supply wood for the first night IGA and the town servos have wood for sale $15 per bag. There is plenty of magazines/books to read, board games, children's art corner ,Fooz table, and table tennis.
We have a large bush block with abundance of wild flowers and kangaroos,a perfect place for a picnic. Also if people wish to bring their pushbikes, Ward Road is a safe road to ride on, also you are welcome to ride your bike around the 3km plantation road, where there is no traffic at all. Very safe for young children. All must wear helmets.
This farm stay house is 9 KM out of Mount Barker, thus between the Stirling Ranges and the Porongurups, home of the Skywalk. Denmark is 50KM from Ward Road, Albany is 65KM with easy access to the Plantagenet, Porogurups and Frankland Winerys. Gilberts Cafe Winery is close by.
