Thank you for all Vanna. Everything was great! We wish we could have said Goodbye. Thank you for picking us up, arranging our transportation, inviting us to dinner, and taking care of us. You have a lovely place and family. Congrats again on your wedding and hope to see you again when we get back to siem reap. All the best, Liz and Tizi.

Vanna and his family are wonderful! They are great hosts and are so accommodating. They picked us up from the airport and either drove us around themselves or made sure drivers or Tuk Tuk riders would pick us up. They are great at English and would often cook meals for us which was great! Their rooms are basic needs, nice bed with mosquito nets and fans. They have toilets and several showers. I would definitely recommend them :)

If you're looking for a true, Cambodian experience, and looking to experience living with a local family, then this is the place for you. Sure there's some mosquitos around or lizards on the wall, but every hostel in town will have that too. Vanna (pronounced "Wanna") lives about 10 minutes outside the city, in a small, local community. At his place you will see two beautiful outdoor showers (and an indoor one), free bikes you can use, air conditioning (which was a lifesaver), his 2 kids running around, a stove if you want to cook, and wifi (speed is pretty good). He will pick you up from the airport, send you into town most days (if he's not busy), show you around the local markets (not the touristy ones), and recommend other activities. When we stayed he had friends over so he invited us to dinner that his wife made, and we stayed up drinking/talking until midnight. He mentioned he hadn't tried a lot of American food, so the second night he invited more friends/relatives over, and I made hamburgers for everyone. Vanna runs a nonprofit NGO in his spare time that helps teach students English to help them get better jobs. His English is also excellent, and mostly self taught. This was such an unforgettable experience (and at a low price point), thank you so much Vanna!!

Vanna and his family was a delight to stay with. I had the opportunity to experience a Cambodian community. Vanna took me around on his errands, plus to pick up his family from school and work. Their children where lovely. They are learning Englush. He helped me plan my journey. I met a few of his friends. Had dinner and beer with the family and one of their friends. Vanna offers tours. He was unable to take me so he arranged for someone else. The only issue was the driver did not speak English. This Homestay was roughing it for me due to the living conditions. You overlook certain things when you are travelling and wanting an experience. It is to be expected. Vanna made up for it in his hospitality. As a result I was comfortable. If you are looking for an experience. Lovely family to stay.
