Our spacious Mother-in-Law apartment is part of a 7,000 sq. ft. lakefront home inspired by Mediterranean villas. Located mere 8 miles from downtown Seattle, our home is at the end of a quiet private drive. Our guests will have access to our dock.
This apartment is located in the Seward Park neighborhood and is a 5-minute drive to the Columbia City neighborhood which has several great restaurants of different cuisines, bars, small shops and a movie theater.
This large apartment is fully appointed with a kitchen, full bathroom and a separate living area with a long couch, dining table and a work desk. An easy drive from downtown Seattle and major freeways, the apartment is located at the end of a private drive and has an angled view of the gorgeous Lake Washington (guests have full access to our dock as well). The bedroom area is separated from the living room/kitchen area with panel curtains. The bedroom has one queen bed and can easily fit another cot which we can provide. The living room has a large couch (on which someone can sleep) and can accommodate a twin air mattress (which we can provide upon request). The dining table is large enough for six and also pulls out to double its size. The kitchen is equipped with electric stoves/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender, and coffeemaker. Other appliances may be provided upon request.
This lovely apartment is above the garage of the main house and has it own entry and comes with a compact washer/dryer.
The owners and their family live in the main house and have two children ages 3 and 5, so if you are a family, please ask if we have anything that you might need. We have traveled with children so we know how challenging lugging all their necessities can be! Examples of things we can easily provide are: two convertible car seats, toys, books, a BOB jogging stroller, a Maclaren travel stroller, diaper genie, diaper table and pad.

Although we have two small children in the house, their play areas are far away from this apartment so there is little risk of noise.
We love our mother-in-law unit and our house, and we want to make sure that they stay in excellent shape. Please make sure you read these rules and can abide by them before booking our property. Thank you!
1.Smoking is NOT allowed.
2.Any and all damage is to be reported immediately to Homeowner.
3.People other than those in the Guest Party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
4.The homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
5.Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
6.All lower level and main level doors must be locked when leaving the house.
7.Off-limits: a) Liquor found in the home may not be consumed (aside from what we may have left for our guests to enjoy; these will be clearly marked); b) Wine and cocktail glasses located in the wet bar area of the poker/game room may not be used; c) Media/theater room: Children may not enter the room without adult supervision. Audio/visual equipment may only be used following exactly the written instructions found in the room. No rewiring or plugging in of devices other than what is already in the room as part of the property; d) Wine cellar: Wine cellar is not part of the rental and should not be entered; e) Lower level office: Lower level office is not part of the rental and should not be entered.
8.Only use appliances for their intended uses.
9.Pets are NOT allowed.
10.Parking: Use parking map. Drive to/from property using only Homeowner’s side of the cul-de-sac.
11.Dock, Lake, Floating devices: The homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while using our dock or floating device.
12.Hot tub: Follow maintenance instructions provided upon arrival.
13.Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate.
14.Storms or Inclement Weather: If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:
•The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or
•A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest.
•The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund:
Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.
We are entrepreneurs in Seattle and a mom of two lovely children. We love wine and food, poker, Lego, and Crossfit (in Mina's case). Mina grew up all around the world, and our favorite country is Italy. Mark loves music and movies and loves to discuss them with anyone.
