Mango Cottage is a lovely spot right on Grand Anse Beach. The location was perfect for us - the beach is literally 30 seconds walk away from the front door. We were greeted by Caroline the building caretaker and she was very friendly and helpful, she showed us around and checked in with us every morning to see if we needed anything. The apartment had everything we needed, even a BBQ! We bought fresh fish from St. Georges and cooked outside on the veranda twice which was lovely. It was pretty hot and the apartment had a much welcomed air conditioning unit in the bedroom. The internet was good, it cut out for a few hours one day but it wasn't much of an issue. There are fruit trees in the garden right out the front and we took some limes from the ground to make cocktails. The number 1 bus goes from right outside the little apartment complex which takes about 5-10 mins into St. Georges which is very convenient. There are also some great restaurants and bars along the beach for dinner. The Edge Bar and Restaurant two doors down on the beach was lovely, you can see the flying fish jumping out of the water while you sit on the deck at night. If you walk about 5-10 min down the beach you get to the Spice Market where there is a great little bar called Esther's Beach Bar - they do a great Mojito and and outstanding Banana Colada they are also very friendly, if we lived in Grenada this would be our regular. If you are on the beach for the day they put the cocktails in plastic so you can have them in the water (Grand Anse is a very clean and beautiful beach and everyone makes sure to not leave their trash around). If you go about 15 mins walk along the beach you get to a bar called Umbrellas which has an AMAZING "Catch Sandwich" and there is a mall and two supermarkets near by and a cinema too, for us this was all walking distance or a very short bus ride. All the locals we met were very friendly and it is a very welcoming place.
