Servicios y zonas comunes
The house is all yours; there's also a great pool on the property - while it's technically shared among 4 casitas, only 2 are rental units so the pool is rarely used by anyone (but it's regularly maintained)!
Atención a los huéspedes
None! But we have a very responsive and helpful property manager (who speaks great English) that oversees the property - she will assist with any requests / issues that may arise.
Otros aspectos destacables
Please remember it's the jungle and still a relatively undeveloped destination. During peak times (Christmas week, New Year, Semana Santa), the local water authority may shut off the water during the day to allow the aquifers to refill. This affects ALL of Nosara. Our property managers are awesome and they do as much as possible to keep guests comfortable should this occur (i.e. delivering water, etc.). We monitor the situation and always keep guests informed.
1. Please acknowledge it's the jungle!
1a. There WILL be bugs and ants (some inside, a lot outside) - but they will leave you alone :) The geckos are cute and eat insects, so let them be. Ants come and go, but spray is available if they really bother you.
1b. Again, it's the jungle. Internet can be spotty, electricity sometimes goes out, and during peak months (January - April) the water is often rationed during the day - please, please keep this all in mind! Our property managers are awesome (and will do their best to make any inconvenience better) but you MUST accept that Nosara is a relatively remote town in the middle of the Costa Rica jungle - embrace it :)
2. Please be considerate of our neighbors (it's a residential area).
3. NO SMOKING inside (and if you do so outside, please clean up afterwards).
It's a modest home, but we love it. We simply ask you treat it as your own - no other specific rules, but please be considerate.
I was born in NYC, raised in CT, attended undergrad in Atlanta, then worked for several years / attended grad school in NYC. My wife and I then moved to Seattle, where we lived for a year and a half. We eventually boomeranged back to NYC and now live in (and love) Miami. I'm exceptionally responsive, organized, mature, and considerate; please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks!
