This is a cozy house, overlooking Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, BC. There is a gorgeous view of Howe Sound Inlet and the mountains. The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a cute day bed in an alcove in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped. Perfect! Not far from Whistler.

The house is fairly modern with flat top roof and glass windows in front. Lovely gardens adorn the back near the car port. There is parking for two cars maximum; additional parking is available on the street. The fireplace works; we recommend burning Duraflame logs during your stay.

Guests have access to the entire property, including the garage, which is where we put the garbage (it's not for use for cars, as it stores personal items). There is a full-time renter in the downstairs unit, who needs access to the third parking space in the driveway. Please leave the outside kitchen light on for this renter to access the stairs leading down to the apartment. He walks over the patio outside the kitchen to get to his apartment under the house... Those using the alcove bed in the living room should be aware that the renter uses the stairs just outside the glass window to access his apartment. So they might want to draw the curtain....

Wellington Place, Pacific Northwest is my home away from home. I live in Antigua, West Indies. So I am not available to meet you in person, but my son Russell Long makes sure the house is ready for your arrival. I am online and can assist if you have questions. Green Maids of Canada cleans the house for me. Most of the bills are paid via automatic debit, like the Cable TV, electricity, fuel oil; Russell pays the rest. There is no house telephone.

Beds will be made for your arrival.

Large parties are not allowed at Wellington Place; please respect our personal belongings and take good care of the property. Please beware of black ice on the steps leading into the house; rainwater drips through the car port onto the steps below, where it freezes during winter, forming dangerous black ice. Please look before you leap and use the ice melt left in the mud room. The parking lot is large enough for two cars maximum; the third parking space is for the renter in the apartment below. There is additional parking on Wellington Place. Please turn the heat down but not off before you leave at the end of your stay; we do not want the pipes to freeze during winter!! Trash is taken up to the street each Tuesday morning between 5 am and 7 am; because of bears and racoons in the area, trash cannot be taken up the night before. Do feel free to separate cans, bottles, newspapers, yard clippings, etc. There is recycling here; trash in black garbage bags is taken out only every other week.... If you are not able to dump the trash during your stay, please make arrangements with us in advance to let us know. During summer, please draw the screen door over the sliding glass door in the master bedroom to prevent racoons from coming in. If anybody is sleeping in the bed in the alcove off the living room, they should be aware that the renter uses the stairs in front of the glass window to get down to the apartment below; please draw the curtains for privacy. Please leave the garden light on outside the kitchen door at all times; the renter uses it to negotiate the stairs leading down to the apartment below. Please lock all the doors to the house and leave the keys on the kitchen counter before you leave. Please clean the house thoroughly. Please make the beds, but do not strip the sheets from the beds.... Please do not use the china in the glass cabinet in the dining room, nor take any of the books, particularly those in the book shelf in the living room. Thank you. Enjoy your stay.

The space is great, the views are lovely with lots of opportunity to spot wildlife, Libby is communicative and friendly. The mattresses are too soft and the promised, covered parking was not available to us. We had a fun weekend, but this property is aging and needs several updates.

Libby's house is fantastic. Great mountain and water views and close to some beautiful hiking trails. Perfect if you want to be close to downtown but want more of a nature filled setting.

Charming home with a great view. Spacious yet cozy living room. Libby was responsive and made us feel at home.

Libby did everything to make us feel at home. The house was very clean and has great facilities and beds. Every morning we enjoyed the ever changing panoramic views over the mountains and the sea. Horseshoe Bay village is at walking distance and offers great dining, spectacular views and boating options. The famous White Cliff park is very near. We recommend this place to everyone.

Libby ist eine fantastische Gastgeberin! Sie hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns über alles Wichtige informiert. Libby hat uns im Vorfeld, während des Aufenthaltes und auch danach bestens betreut. Das Pineapple House ist großartig, das Haus hat eine tolle Lage und die Terasse ist traumhaft! Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist perfekt. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in Libbys Haus und können es mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.
