The chalets were built entirely out of locally-sourced timber and feature massive log beams and rough-cut interior. You will not find one ounce of drywall in this all-wood log home. Many of the logs still have their bark on them!

Pet Friendly - We are pet lovers! We welcome most breeds of dogs and cats, a rarity here in the Laurel Highlands. We do have a few breed restrictions however. Please visit our website for complete pet details. $100 pet fee applies to any visit.

Wildlife and Bird Watching – Each chalet has a large bird feeder on the back deck that attracts a large variety of birds. We see everything from Blue-Jays, Cardinals, and Woodpeckers to a variety of Finches, Juncos and Dove. The chalet is very cute and cozy. The kitchen was stocked, making it easy to cook, there was covered firewood ready for us, and the cabin was fully decorated with old-timey items and quintessential cabin decor. It makes for a perfect, mountain getaway. We also really enjoyed the location. It's in a little circuit of several cabins and under tree coverage -- making it feel like a getaway in nature, but not completely secluded from civilization. Dave was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome! He greeted us and showed us around upon arrival and was quick to help if and when we needed it.

The chalet was awesome for a get-together of 8 friends. Dave had plenty of split firewood for us to enjoy campfire's each evening. There is also a nice area to play yard games. Everything we needed for cooking was in the cabin. This was a great place to stay for spending time in Ohiopyle and the surrounding area. I highly recommend this place!

The chalet was perfect - secluded, with a great fireplace and ski lodge personality, as well as close to the slopes. Dave was such a responsive, and flexible host, especially with our last minute request. We brought all of our food and cooked up a sumptuous feast while playing board games. A great weekend!

I stayed here a couple of days throughout the Labor Day weekend to become familiar with the area, visit the Forbes National Forest, hike and study investing in purchasing or building a cabin in the area. We stayed at the "Luna Chalet" within Claycomb Chalets. It was very cozy, clean and about everything you'd expect for a charmingly rustic chalet with the necessary amenities and services to make the experience smooth and enjoyable. Enjoyed visiting the area and dining, hiking. People is very courteous and friendly. I appreciated enormously Claycomb Chalets allows you to bring your pet. Management chalet cabin is located nearby for whatever need or inquire one may have.
