It has been our first experience in Airbnb and it could not have been better. Julia's place is superb well located, it is perfect for a family like ours and you feel like home. It's been a lovely week in Paris. Thanks Julia

Amazing location. Great place. Comfori table. Wonderful for kids. 5th floor walk up and under construction. Dusty but not a huge problem.

We had great stay in Paris. Julia is considerate and helpful. She prepared everything a family needs such as water, milk, coffee, washing liquid, etc. The welcome bread is very tasty. The kitchen is great. We cooked everyday. The location is convenient. We can go to different supermarkets, restaurants and metro stations by foot. However, the fifth floor is really high for heavy luggage and aged travellers. And we are unlucky that the lower floors were under renovation, which was very noisy during daytime.

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Julia's apartment. The apartment was just as described and actually more spacious than I thought. The kitchen is fully equipped and functional and is in the same large space as the living room. This meant we could all be in the same space while we were in the apartment, but without stepping on each others toes. We were traveling with a baby and having a closed bedroom with a bed for the baby was wonderful. He felt right at home and slept very well from the first night. Please be aware that the neighbour below has her bedroom below the kitchen area. Because of the jet lag, our one year old baby was still running around past 11 pm and the neighbour did not appreciate. Having a full size washer and dryer was also very practical as we were travelling with a baby. If you have been to Paris before, you will know that the location is great. Central without actually being in the centre. Several grocery stores and many pastry shop are at less than a 5 minutes walk. There are also several metro stations close by that give access to 4 different metro lines. The apartment is on the fifth floor, and carrying the luggage on our arrival was a real workout. On the other hand, the workout allowed us to enjoy the great Parisian food without felling guilty and Julia was very nice to provide us with a lock that we used to lock the baby stroller on the ground floor. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet with Julia, but this did not cause any problems with the checkin or the checkout. We had very good communications in French by e-mail and phone and Julia made sure we had everything we needed when we got the the apartment. All in all, the apartment was perfect four us, 3 adults and 2 kids, and I would stay there again if I had the chance. Merci Julia and Family

Our family of four had a lovely stay at Julia's apartment. Julia was a wealth of knowledge both beforehand and during our stay, regarding local cafes, restaurants, bakeries, shops and sights suitable with young children. Her communication was always prompt and friendly. Julia met us at the apartment upon our arrival and showed us how everything works. Her neighbour was also there to help with English. The apartment is cozy, decorated with personal style and has all the modern amenities. Our children loved all the toys in the kids' bedroom and the full-length bath. The apartment is on the 5th floor and there is no lift, which meant we could indulge in all the beautiful pastries Paris has to offer guilt-free, as the climb up the stairs was sure to burn off some calories! ;-) The beautiful view over neighbouring rooftops was worth the climb. The apartment stayed warm during a cool, rainy spell. The double-glazed windows kept street noise out but let the light in. It was beautiful. The area could not have suited us better. It is central enough to be walking distance to many places, but not too central so as not to be overly touristy. There are several Metro stations nearby so you can easily get to several different Metro lines. The streets were clean and we felt safe with our children. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, Julia.

The apartment is spacious and has great amenities like dishwasher, washer and dryer. Location is ideal. Paris was very hot when we arrived, and two days later the host sent someone with two enormous fans to help keep cool, which we appreciated very much. However, the furnishings are not all that comfortable. The single adult "bed" is just a folding cot, not a real bed, and not very comfortable. The child's bed is really only appropriate for a small child. Window shades are crummy, too, you are instructed not to raise them above halfway, and they are held together with staples(!). Much of the furniture is shabby and uncomfortable: upholstered chairs have most of the covering gone, so the foam is exposed, and the springs are shot so those are uncomfortable to sit on as well (you sink down a lot when you sit down!). Dining room chairs are cheap and flimsy, mostly plastic. One of them was broken and the host accused us of breaking it, and charged us a very inflated damage fee to replace a chair that was only worth a quarter of what was charged! I wish we had noticed that on check-in, so we could have pointed it out to the person who was there to receive us; she did NOT make a point of showing if these chairs were in good condition. Host knows these chairs are prone to breaking; she makes a special point of listing them on the check-in procedures (which were not clear at all), while neglecting to mention all the other shabby and falling-apart items in the apartment. When we arrived there was almost no toilet paper in the apartment! This was very inconvenient, since it was 9 p.m.. There were also no trash bags in the apartment except for the one in the bin, so once it was full we had to buy our own trash bags even though we had paid a cleaning fee.

Respuesta de Julia:
Hello Elizabeth, and thank you for your criticism. Really sorry for the rubbish bags and the rest .. All products were stored in the rear kitchen and we forgot to specify. For single adult bed, we are sincerely sorry that it is not comfortable enough. It is a folding bed, good quality and new. As soon as we can, we will change it. About armchairs, there are very old and damaged because they are "antiques". In France, we like this type of old furniture :-). But you are right to notice. In the future, we will specify in our home description. For window shades, you're right, they are not at all practical ... But it is the only model to allow Paris city ( Obligation to preserve the aesthetics of the buildings in central Paris ) . We better explain their browsing experience to the next travelers. However, for the broken chair, I do not know what to say ... You know that it is Airbnb who decide to pay me after I provided many documents and evidence (check-in, invoice ...). Despite such inconvenience,I hope that you still enjoy your stay with us. Regards
