Otros aspectos destacables
1.) Coffee or tea will be available to you any time of the day. Breakfast: If our schedules allow I can make breakfast; waffles or eggs or a breakfast salad. We will communicate before you arrive so you can let me know what you would like.
2.) Things to do at the house: Listen to the birds in the morning and watch the squirrels. Have the windows open for fresh air. Play board games and chess. Read a book. My guests are welcome to check out my books and games. Relaxing means to take a break from our hectic lives and remember the activities that make us happy. Recharge here!
3.) Activities that my guests enjoyed at my house: talking about anything, picking fresh vegetables for breakfast from my garden, playing with the cat, watching Downton Abbey and drinking wine, playing Uno, playing harmonica and Glockenspiel, reading history books and James Patterson, raking the leaves for my neighbor (really!), having breakfast in the gazebo, sitting around the fire pit at night with a beer, cooking on the grill, sitting in the shade and watching squirrels, birds, and hummingbirds - there are sometimes over 20 birds in the yard and sometimes 8 different kinds!, going for walks or a run before breakfast around the block, greeting and meeting my neighbors, sitting in the sun and putting the feet in the cool water of the baby pool.
I have also been to dinner or lunch with my guests, went "bar-hopping" or to visit Beale Street, visited the Historic Elmwood Cemetery and the Blues Hall of Fame.
Memphis is an exciting place to visit and my home is the place to recharge and relax to do it again!
4.) Note: I have a cat living in the house. If you want to bring your dog don't use instant booking! Ask me if it is "OK" to bring a dog for the days you request.
5.) Don't show up at my place with your girl friend or boy friend, if you already told me you are married. That is disrespectful!
6.) Don't ask me if you can do drugs at my place. You cannot! Smoking is allowed on the patio.
7.) Be nice or leave! Be careful with my things.
8.) The individual who books the room is my guest. I don't allow bookings for another person. Exception: A wife booking for her husband. As long as I have the contact information for both parties. That makes communication so much easier.
9.) Don't use instant booking if you live within 30 miles from Memphis. I need to know the reason why you need the room. 10.) No drinking or eating or preparing food in the bedroom. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your food and you are welcome to eat at the dining table in the living room or outside on the patio.
11.) Please take off your shoes in the entrance area - especially when your shoes got wet or dirty.

Memphis, Tennessee, Estados Unidos

My home is on a quiet street in the heart of Memphis. It feels like living in the 1940s when neighbors greet each other and you are known by name. Across the street is the Children's Museum, the Liberty Bowl (Tiger Lane), the Kroc Fitness Center and Christian Brothers University. The amazing Memphis Zoo is 3 miles from my house. The Zoo can keep you entertained for the whole day!
Food and Entertainment: A 10 minute walk will get you to the Central BBQ on Central Avenue, which has the best BBQ in Memphis! The Soul Fish Cafe is located on Cooper Avenue and has people come from far away for soul food. One of my favorite hangout is Otherlands Cafe on Cooper Avenue. You can meet locals here any time of the day and have a chat. I also recommend Lafayette on Madison Avenue for life music. A little further down the road is Molly's La Casita, which has the best margaritas and really good hamburgers! Many more restaurants and playhouses and one movie theater are also located on Madison Avenue. Park you car, ride a scooter or a bike or walk. The Cooper/Young area is also packed with entertainment and food. The downtown Memphis area offers many more food attractions like Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken. No kidding that is the name! But the food is out of this world! You can also enjoy food the Elvis Presley style in the Arcade on South Main Street. The Arcade is the oldest restaurant in Memphis. They still make root beer floats and it is decorated in the 1950's decor that Elvis was used to! Visit the Blues Hall of Fame, the National Civil Rights Museum. And in the evening swing by Beale Street. Early in the morning - line up for Graceland! History is everywhere in Memphis. My favorite place is Historic Elmwood Cemetery. Ask me if you like to do something different in Memphis: with children, for health and fitness, or ... I have lived in Memphis for many years and know my way around the city. Enjoy your stay!
