El alojamiento

Our house has been completely remodeled with high end finishes. It is a gorgeous relaxing place to hang out and enjoy Belmont Shore. Park your car and never need it again! There is a large well appointed open concept kitchen, dining and living room with TV. Down the hallway is the guest bedroom with custom built in bunk bed with an extra long twin on top and queen on the bottom. There is a large built in closet and the bedroom is next to a beautiful fully redone bathroom with tub/shower, double sinks and toilet. The master bedroom has a California king bed, built in closets and an attached bathroom with a huge walk in shower, toilet and vanity. Each bedroom has a TV and the house has WIFI. The front patio has two long built in benches perfect for lounging in the California sun. We put a lot of love into this house.

You can access the whole house except there is a small garage (too small for a car) at the back of the house that you will not be able to access.

El barrio

Belmont Shore is the greatest little beach town! There is the main beach with waves that brings kite boarders from all around and the bay with calm waters perfect for little ones. 2nd street is about 1/2 a block away and it has all the shops, restaurants etc that you could want! You can walk to everything! The boardwalk on the main beach will take you into Shoreline Village and into downtown long beach. There are tons of activities to do with kids and adults. You can rent kayaks and stand up paddle boards on the bay. The neighbors are great and it is an amazing location to park your car and never need it again.

There is public transportation (bus) right on 2nd street which is 1/2 a block away. You can easily drive around but most people walk or bike everywhere.

There isn't a specific parking spot for this house. Parking is free on the street. There is street sweeping on the south side of the street Thursdays from 9-11am and on the north side of the street on Fridays from 9-11am. Other than that, parking is allowed on the street for free.

We put a lot of love and effort into this house by taking it completely down to the studs and building basically a brand new house. Our neighbors have pt up with enough in terms of construction noise so we do not allow any loud behavior and definitely no parties. We expect this house and our neighbors to be treated with kindness and respect.

November 2016 to January 2017 - We rented Monica and Bryson's house at 146 Santa Anita for almost two months. This is a well-maintained two bedroom, two bath home. It is located about 5 minutes (walking) from the trendy 2nd street shops, cafes, restaurants and only 10 minutes to the beach. As the photos for this listing indicate, the home is decorated in an attractive, modern style with comfortable furnishings. The Master bedroom has a king-sized bed and plenty of storage space. The smaller, second bedroom has a bunk bed. The upper bunk is a single bed and the lower bunk is a double bed. Ample storage space in this room also. Both all the beds were very comfortable. Good wifi. We did, however, have connection problems with the wifi when it rained, but we assumed that everybody in the neighborhood did also. It always sorted itself out. There are three flatscreen televisions in the house. One in each bedroom and one in the living room. Each TV has HDMI ports. Bathrooms are well-appointed. The ensuite bath in the master bedroom has a large shower with a built-in bench. The second bath has two lavatories and a tub/shower combo. Lots of storage space for toiletries. Great water pressure throughout the house, and hot water on demand. Kitchen: we cooked and baked often during our visit. The house has a great range with four hobs, salamander, oven, and above-range microwave. Other kitchen items include a small countertop toaster oven, blender, drip coffeemaker and a сafetière. A gas fireplace is in the living room/salon, but unfortunately was not made available to us. Parking for your car is always limited. Customers visit the shops and restaurants on 2nd street and use the residential parking spaces along Santa Anita. Consequently, we occasionally were not able to park outside the house, but had to either park further down the street or on an adjacent street. Be alert about parking on Wednesday and Thursday nights due to the street sweepers coming by the next day. If you park on the wrong side during these days you will get a parking ticket. Neighbors: we are friendly and say hello to neighbors when we encountered them. Consistently, from the first day of our visit, the neighbors on either side of the house and across the street would simply look through us when we said hello and not even offer a return greeting. The only explanation we had for this was that they were not happy about Airbnbers renting in their neighborhood. We did not take it personally, but did think it rather odd. Monica was a model airbnb hosts and a delight to work with during our visit. We only had two minor problems throughout the booking and she was available within the hour to problem-solve the issue. We enjoyed our Long Beach vacation, appreciated Monica's friendly, supportive attitude, and would stay here again.

Incredible cottage near 2nd street and the beach. The pictures are accurate, but it's even better once you step inside. Incredibly clean, very roomy, beautifully decorated and with all the amenities you would need. The location was ideal for us as we could walk to 2nd street to eat out, shop or have a drink. We loved Belmont Shore and really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house.

Monica was a fabulous hostess, from our first inquiry through our entire stay. The house is meticulously remodeled and cared for and is located within the lovely Belmont Shores neighborhood. Our young boys could walk to the ocean, the Bayshore Park beach and kayak rental, and all the restaurants and shops on Second Street. Its a quiet neighborhood in a perfect location to enjoy the area. We enjoyed a day trip to Legoland and another to Huntington Beach. Long Beach offered a fabulous aquarium and easy kayaking trips through the canals. Street parking was free and totally manageable for the entire stay. We would highly recommend this wonderful house and would absolutely stay there again if we were in the area!

Monica made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful and attentive. Her home is absolutely gorgeous - we loved just hanging out there and on the patio. The location was perfect - walking distance to the beach and the shops and a restaurants. We had a wonderful vacation!

Monica's house is awesome! As is Monica herself! She was incredibly generous with her place and extremely welcoming to my family and me. Her home looks even better in person. Everything seems to be brand new. It's all very high quality, and no detail has been ignored. What's outside the house is just as fabulous as what's inside. The location is perfect — it's only three blocks to the beach, and one to the main street with all of the restaurants and bars. Our month at Monica's was absolutely perfect, and I would recommend her place to anyone considering it.

We currently live in Pasadena, CA. My husband is a contractor and I am a stay at home mommy to our two kids. We are very honest, clean and nice people! This house is our second family home. It is not a party house. Parties and loud behavior will not be tolerated. We just want people to enjoy the house when we are not able to.
