Free parking on street in front of the house.

Additional Amenties include:
Wireless Internet
Record Player and small collection of vinyl
Pour over Coffee Maker
** no television

You will have access to a little kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, water kettle, coffee/coffee maker, and a water cooler. You will also have access to our backyard, with a deck, hammock, and fire pit, and of course the entire basement, which is 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and a living room area.

Once we get you checked in, the whole basement area is yours to come and go as you please. The only shared area is our back yard. You will have your own side entrance to the yard and a private entrance around back.

We are new to living in this neighborhood, having spent the past 12 years in SE Portland, but N/NE Portland has been a regular hangout for years. We are a few blocks from the Max line, which will take you all over Portland and to downtown in about 10 mins, a short (10 block) walk to Mississippi Ave, New Seasons Market is one Max stop away, there are parks in every direction, as well as many great brunch places, bars, restaurants, food carts, and everything that Portland has to offer.

The Max stop is a few blocks away and will take you all over Portland. You are welcome to use the bikes we provide to get you just about anywhere, but please please wear the helmets provided.

UBER is now available in Portland and is a great way to get around town if its late and you don't want to wait for pub.trans, or if you are going over to SE and don't want to take the 3 forms of pub/trans it takes to get there.
If you haven't already signed up for it, here is the link:

Portland also has Car2Go. Costs about the same as UBER, but you have to pre-sign up for it, a good month before you come to town so you can get your access card.

- We are LGBTQ friendly.
- As you will see, many people comment about our sweet kitty. This was from before we owned our house and only rented the entire home when we traveled. Our cat will not have access to your space, but he will most likely greet you in the garden on sunny days. He's a lover through and through.
-We no longer have bikes for guests, because of all the upkeep and maintenance involved. Also because we now have a great (inexpensive) public bike system throughout the city called BikeTown.

- If you use the outside fire pit, please make sure it is out before you turn in for the night, although during the hot summer months, there is typically a fire ban.

-Only registered guests are allowed in the house please. If you have friends or family in town, please let us know before inviting them over. It is not cool to come home to 10+ people hanging out in your back yard, when only 4 people are registered (we say this because it has happened a few times). Also, we do not allow people to host parties on our property.

-SERIOUSLY, we do not allow additional guests that we have not previously been informed about. Inviting some random person you meet at a bar over for the night, or letting your friends who live here in town stay the night so you can party till all hours of the morning is NOT OK. This is not a hostel or a hotel, please respect our home. We live on the property as well and we LOVE hosting respectful guests. (again, we only say this because it has happened)

-Respect the neighbors, no excessive late night outside noise past 10p please. You are welcome to hang out in the back yard after 10p, just at a respectful volume.

-Smoking Outside Only, please do not leave your cig butts laying around and note that the grass is very dry in the summer, be mindful of your ashes.

- yes weed is LEGAL in oregon now, but please don't smoke it inside. Even if you think it is ok to smoke in the bathroom with the fan on, IT IS NOT! You are welcome to smoke in our back yard though, the front yard is not permitted by law. We host all sorts of people and not everyone is ok with weed. Please, not only respect our home, but the other guests who will be renting the space prior to your stay (one of our reasons we ask you not to smoke weed inside).

Very lovely place! Misha and Cade were both so friendly and gave us a tour despite us showing up close to midnight. The beds were both sooo comfortable that we almost didn't wake up on time. The area is quiet, residential, but there's bars walking distance and in the spring, there were flowered trees, tulips, and random flowers I don't know the name of everywhere. Definitely worth it :)

Misha & Cade were the best, most welcoming hosts we've ever had! Very professional and friendly, fast at responding to our questions. Everything was exactly as described. In the dead of winter (January) the apt was perfectly warm, with excellent central heating. The apt was a great deal for the location and amenities: super clean, cozy, and right down the street from all the shops, bars, restaurants, and food carts in the Mississippi District. Definitely plan to stay here again!

This was a downstairs appt in Portland. Although it was definitely cute, and the communication was good to make prior arrangements for check in, the appt was not worth the price. There is no central heating, only 1 small heating fan. The floors are also made of concrete. It would have been a comfortable stay for summer weather, but I would not recommend anyone staying here in the winter. We were freezing cold and needed to move to another place to stay. At least the hosts were friendly to offer a refund, but I would strongly recommend them to update this unit to provide central heating, or at least put more small heating lamps around the entire unit.

Respuesta de Misha + Cade:
We actually do have central heating and two space heaters and lots of blankets. Unfortunately when we went into the space after you left, we noticed you guys had closed one of the heating vents and had used the bedroom heater (the small one) out in the main space and hadn't even turned on the main space heater. One of them heats 1000 sq ft, the other one 300 square feet, the space is only 700+ sqft. We also noticed that for how cold you said it was, all of the blankets were still folded up at the ends of the beds, plus none of the rest of the blankets were even touched. And the loft bed, the sheets were all still perfectly tucked in, who ever slept there only slept under the comforter and not the blankets and sheets. Yes, it is a basement, it says that in our listing in many spots, the floors are concrete, but there are large area rugs covering most of the floors. We understand that everyone is use to different temperatures, and you guys being from SoCal, it was probably a shock coming to the much colder PNW. We were sorry to hear you were so cold and will make sure to tell people about the space heaters in the future. It definitely gets warm down there and have had many guests stay in our space in winter with no problems. We hope that the next place you stayed in was better suited. Have a great rest of your holiday season!

This place was perfect for where I was working for the week as it was right down the street. I will use it again for work when I'm in Portland
