Hi Cynthia Thanks for your feedback on your stay. It was great that you were able to shelter those lost souls, im sure they were very grateful! Its a good story to highlight that visitors to the highlands underestimate how far away it is, how bad the roads are, how long it takes to get there, yes theres no phone reception, and yes there are no street lights or on street facilities or possibly at midnight anyone at all! Thats why we like it!You need to be fairly self sufficient in these situations. Im not sure what else we as the host could have done. The hot water is on a timer but you have access to it. Because the house is remote the house is left on a basic setting 24/7. Most guests when they arrive just change it to what they want. The instructions are all in the welcome email. The system can handle a full house quite easily. We take onboard the comments about this welcome email and all the information within it. Its hard to know what to leave out as its clearly all important (like the hot water system) but we have looked at it again and changed it. Be very careful with this property, you may be accused of things you didn't do. Especially on the cleaning side of things. An exhaustive list of cleaning will have to be done before you leave the place (including stripping your bed sheets before you leave) even after having paid …

Dear Qaiser I am sorry you were confused by the terms and conditions of this property. You were sent instructions which simply highlight how the house should be left, they are not exhaustive by any means and just an indication of how a self-catering property should be left for the next guests. You were left the housekeepers number should you have any questions which you did use to sort the Wifi. Perhaps you should have mentioned these other issues at the time and we could have rectified them for you. We had emails about the cleaning terms and you were told that some people for example leave the house in a terrible state. You then did exactly that. For example simply taking rubbish bags (which we did provide for you) to the wheelie bin outside 50m distance, or loading the dishwasher(tablets are provided) and switching it on rather than leaving all your pots pans and dishes in the sink. Or stripping the beds and leaving linen in a pile in each room is not exhaustive in our opinion. As we know you never did any of these simple tasks and also broke some items which all need to be paid for. You even admit breaking them, so we are surprised to find you don’t want to pay for them. It would be more acceptable if the breakages amounted to a few pounds but in your case it amounted to hundreds of pounds. Our housekeepers are very professional and always count glasses, plates etc so we know on every changeover what is missing or broken so that they can be replaced, it is also so the next guests don’t get the blame for your breakages. You completely deny all knowledge of the mess and think that how you left the house is acceptable which in our opinion it is not. When challenged you think that you are being “accused of something you didn’t do” As the main contact for this booking you are responsible for the property during your stay. No other group stayed during the time you stayed so if you didn’t make the mess then who did? In answer to your other comments I would say the following The wifi was in fact not working as you pointed out at 10pm on Sat night and by 10am the next morning was fixed. This was an issue with our satellite broadband system not our own problem and was fixed as soon as we knew of the problem. The sky package is as advertised. As mentioned basics like washing up liquid are provided you just didn’t choose to use them. Thank you for the feedback on the TV we will look into that. We have not heard from the housekeepers or feedback that this has been a big issue. We feel that perhaps a self-catering property is not suited to your requirements and next time you should book a hotel with room service and a maintenance department to clean up after your mess and breakages.
