- Person maximum number as stated in booking email correspondence. If you have additional overnight guest(s), contact owner for approval.
- We love the furry family members; however, no pets are allowed on premises under any conditions due to other renters with allergies.
- No smoking in the house. Smoking outside ok if all butts cleaned up and in trash can. No smoke should enter the house. If the scent of smoke is left in the house or butts left outside, security deposit may be forfeited.
- No use of candles, incense, or any other item that could leave a scent in the house.
- No real fires in fireplace. Fireplace is equipped with an electric unit.
- Renters must clean up after holiday dinners, BBQs, and any non-typical day-to-day activities. High chair and crib must be washed and put away/repacked at check-out (or $20 cleaning/take down fee assessed to security deposit). Additional cleaning fees incurred, if any, will be charged to deposit. Dishes washed or in dishwasher for all stays.
- Renters assume full responsibility for the safety of children including while using high chair and crib (see CHILDREN below)
NOISE, PARTIES: For the protection of our neighbors and our property, parties and gatherings are not allowed unless approved in advance by the owner. No activities that would be disruptive to our neighbors (including fireworks of any kind). These policies are strictly enforced and renters who are unwilling to abide by them will evicted from the property immediately. If evicted, renters will not be refunded any monies and may be charged for all related costs for incurred repairs or extra cleaning.
CHILDREN (parents please read): As parents and grandparents ourselves, we love and welcome children and want to continue renting to families with young children. We provide a high-chair and Pack-n-Play crib at no charge. Renters assume full responsibility for the safety of their children and are responsible to check weight limits, to check children’s items for safety before use, and use at their own risk. We cannot guarantee children’s items are safe for use (previous renters may not tell us if they have broken something.) Please inform us if crib/high chair have any problems or safety risks and we will replace the item. Please leave high chair washed and clean and clean and take down/repack the crib after use (or $20 cleaning and/or take down fee will be charged to deposit). When children are on the beds or on the couch, please use a water-proof pad if your child may wet the bed or drip from a bottle. Also, please have children eat/snack at the table and use sippy cups to avoid spills so food is not spread to furniture, walls, stains on rugs, etc. The cost of cleaning stains or any extra cleaning charges for walls, furniture, etc, will be charged to the deposit. Please do not allow children to play in landscaped areas or throw rocks. Our home is not childproofed.
DAMAGES, MISSING PROPERTY: Guest agrees to leave the premises in an acceptable condition (normal wear and tear is acceptable). The cleaning cost includes cleaning for a typical stay. Guest will clean up and leave the home in typical rental-use condition. Any moved furniture or stereo equipment must be returned to the original location and must be reconnected. Any damaged property must be reported prior to departure. Should the condition of the property require additional housekeeping and/or action as a result of conditions created by guest, said additional charges will be charged to guest. Owner or agent may enter at any time to address maintenance or inspections.
GUESTS OF GUESTS, SUBLETTING: All overnight guests invited by contracted guest are the responsibility of the contracted guest. Do not share lock-box codes with non-contracted guests. Subletting is not permitted.
ATTORNEY’S FEES: If it becomes necessary for owners to pursue legal action relating to this agreement, guest is responsible for all attorney fees and cost.
INDEMNIFICATION: To the extent permitted by law, each guest shall indemnify owner from any liability, loss or damage that they may suffer as a result of any claims, demands, costs, judgments and the like against them arising out of conduct legally attributable to guest or guest’s invitees for which guest or their invitee is determined to be legally responsible. Casa Carolina is privately owned. Owners are not responsible for accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
VALUABLES AND PERSONAL PROPERTY: Owner assumes no responsibility for Guest’s valuable or personal property during Guest’s stay. If guest’s property is abandoned, guest expressly authorizes owner to dispose of in any reasonable manner as determined by owner and holds owner harmless for loss of property and/or the value of abandoned property.
