Our place isn’t perfect. The house is not old enough and we are working hard to make it nice, to make it feel welcoming for our guests. We always treat our guests like friends and family.
You can't compare us to a Hotel. If you need the best & perfect accommodations, book a 5-star hotel to meet the standards that you are looking for. " WE OFFER CHEAP & UNEXPENSIVE BOOKING ".
We are on an Island. Physically unattached to the mainland. Anyone travelling to an island should be prepared for uncontrollable power outages or weather conditions. Maintenance issues fall under extenuating circumstances under Airbnb.
Several parts of the island are isolated, remote and still under development community. We are totally detached from the big city and high technicality like the wifi/internet and phone signal are expected to be poor. Long unpaved roads are also expected in an island. I know you've seen worse.
Sharing our homes & community is disrupting the flow. I think you’ll see more and more cities/places with regulations & differences.
Airbnb hosting is not like the hotel business. This is a home sharing system. There is a high risk we put in our homes. As hosts, sometimes we have great days and sometimes we have these type of day. The thing that happened is a learning moment. And we apologized for the inconvenienced that has caused you and your family.
I also learned that we (hosts) need to check people's reviews and (Hidden by Airbnb) them before we let them book.
