Fantastic host. Super easy to work with. Provides great directions which avoids all frustration when arriving to a rather secluded location. We arrived late in the dark and still had no issues due to the detailed, precise directions. The house is very remote so if you are looking for a place to star watch which is conveniently located to the National Park this is a great place! The house has an older, reclaimed feel which fits well with the area. The yard is a collection of random objects (tires, old bus, half torn down structures) which seems to be a common theme is this area. The vegetation is sparse, not many Joshua Trees here, but the nearby park is beyond spectacular! I would recommend this place because the host is so great and the park accessibility is ideal.

The house is just as it appears in the pictures. The only surprising thing is the isolation, which I found to be very nice. The check in was simple, and the wifi worked great. 10/10 would recommend.

Had an amazing time staying here. My wife and I took my younger siblings out for last minute a 'camping' trip. The property is private as it sits at the end of a dirt road and backs up to private military land - this makes for great views. There is a fence that gives you some additional privacy from anyone that may drive by (only two cars passed that we noticed over the weekend). The spa was a little tricky so we reached out to Molly who was quick to respond and give us instruction. The fire pit is large and surrounded by pretty desert landscaping. As far as the house, the AC did a good job of keeping the house cool as it was in the high 90's during our trip. The master definitely stays cooler as it has an additional window unit, whereas the second room is a bit warmer. The Arizona room was great for games and eating - great views. Overall it was a great trip - I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a secluded place to stay in Joshua Tree.

We'll start off by saying that we cannot wait to go back! What an amazing home for the true desert experience, which is what we wanted and received. If you are looking for a remote, quiet "away from it all" and just a really cool home with the right desert touch, this is the place. The best part is the total privacy and large piece of land that surrounds you in this home. When you walk outside, there is so much to see, from the nostalgic old bus and chicken coupe to the lush desert landscape with fruit trees and jackrabbits everywhere! Absolutely loved it!! The decor is "boho" perfect and the home offers everything you need from the bonus comfortable beds to the kitchen necessities. The old vintage stove works perfectly and served up some great morning frittata's in the wrought iron skillet! We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful dining area especially in the morning for breakfast watching the doves fly in and in the surrounding Pomegranate trees. Total relaxation! The hot tub was a big plus and was nice and warm for our arrival. Great place to take in the quiet night sky. The roads to get to the property definitely require a 4x4 as some areas have deep sand. Once you figure out the way the roads layout, it's really cool to drive around and get a feel for the desert life, day and night. Be sure to enjoy the night walks down the surrounding roads and take in the sunset. Kudos to Molly for doing it right. Can't wait to come back! Sincerely, Nina & Michael

Molly's place was awesome! It was deep in desert but also fairly close to downtown so we could drive out to get things if we needed to. Clean, cute place. And the host, Jess, who was helping out molly with the house was polite and helpful! Brought my little pups too and they enjoyed every moment. I would definitely come back ! :)

My friend and I had some overlapping vacation days and wanted a little relaxing getaway in Joshua Tree. Jess (the property manager) was very communicative and accommodating. All of her suggestions of how to prepare were spot on, and she even helped us trouble shoot some issues when we arrived. The house is certainly secluded and peaceful. The dirt roads are intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it, you feel like a local! This is a great house for small groups looking for a home base after a day of hiking. The hot tub is a stellar bonus! WHAT I WISH I KNEW: In the spirit of full disclosure, the house is a little rougher around the edges than the photos would suggest. We had issues securing the doors, as many of them don't fit properly into the door frames, or are in need of some repair. Jess was very attentive and had the handy man come down to check it out. We were probably being overly cautious, but being two women in the secluded desert, we wanted to make sure it was safe not only for us, but also for our belongings should we want to go out for the afternoon. We brought a small terrier with us, and didn't feel full confident leaving him in the house for fear that he would get out. The surrounding yard is full of what looks like incomplete construction, an old bus, and piles of wood, tires, pieces of glass, and some garbage strewn about. It actually adds to the apocalyptic aesthetic but might not be totally safe for children and small dogs.
