Our home features a fully fenced back yard for children and pets. There is a charcoal grill available for guests. We are 30 minutes from some of the best golf courses in the state, Crossville. We are located within minutes of both State and Federal parks for hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, horseback riding or just enjoying the great outdoors! The city of Wartburg is located just 10 minutes to our south for convenient grocery shopping or dining. And the city of Oak Ridge is an additional 20 minutes away.

It’s centrally located between Bandy Creek, Leatherwood Ford, and Station Camp. There is a BSF trailhead in our community for horses/hikers/bikes/kayaks. The Ranger's Retreat (RR) cabin by Big South Fork will give you all the privacy you want and still convenient to town for the essentials. All of this plus with one of the Southeasts' premier National Park area's in your backyard. The RR cabin is a genuine log cabin made of real white pine logs. It features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and a loft. The RR cabin is great for couples, but the loft with 2 twin beds provides room for a total of 4. Dog friendly (sorry no cats).

A Little Closer to Heaven Primitive Tree house

This little tree house is primitive with no electricity and no water but has a bath house nearby. This is tent camping in a tree house. Located behind the historic R.M. Brooks Store, it is the perfect place to find peace and beauty . Perfect for hikers. Rest in the huge branches of this nearly 100 year old Oak Tree. A Queen bed awaits you for your restful nights sleep. Underneath you can picnic at the table or swing in the swing that hangs below. This is the perfect place to unplug.

Adena Carriage House Rugby: history+nature retreat

Step back in time in Historic Rugby, TN with modern comfort at The Carriage House at Historic Adena Cottage. Cozy Cabin

Cozy two bedroom cabin with unobstructed views of the mountains. On the back deck there is a hot tub and a gas grill. Near Big South Fork and Historic Rugby. 3 mile hike from the cabin to the river round-trip. Or drive to the trailhead and hike half a mile to the river. Come here to unwind and de-stress. Totally peaceful :-) My favorite time of year is winter at the cabin. Nothing like sitting in the hot tub and looking out over the frosty trees and mountains!
