  • It's a great place to stay and enjoy the wonders of Lammington National Park. We enjoyed all the birds and fire flies. The appartement is spacious, comfortable and clean, the veranda and garden are perfect too. Morika and Mike are great hosts. We enjoyed it very much and highly recomend this tranquil place!

  • The apartment of Morika is spacious, full equipped and extremely well situated for people wanting to discover the surroundings (Lamington National park, Springbrook park, falls...) even the coast is close if you have a vehicle. Cooking our meal was just like cooking at home. The little garden with the swings is perfect for kids and really private. The nature is beautiful and the views and walks you can do around the house are infinite. Morika and Mike were really lovely hosts, good communication, advice on places to visit and very thoughtful to make your stay easier. We highly recommend that place if you want to discover the area and stay in a place where you feel like home.

  • Great place to stay if you want to do multiple walks over a number of days at the Leamington NP. Facilities are great for cooking your own meals if you don't want to dine in at the top of thw mountain.

  • Morika and Mike were exceptionally welcoming hosts - we had a fabulous stay thank you! The space was a perfect base for a relaxing weekend, surrounded by tall trees and bushlife. Perfect location for exploring national parks and walks - a short drive to Binna Burra, and Morika and Mike also gave us some great tips on short walks near the house with some great views. We appreciated the extra touches - kitchen was stocked with all the necessary condiments and the like. We would all also recommend Morika's sound therapy treatments - a very relaxing experience!

  • Nice, comfortable and clean accommodations.

    Maria2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan's place is spacious and comfortable. We were a family of 4 and had plenty of space. It has a full kitchen, which was great for preparing meals for our kids. Ryan lives on the same block in a separate dwelling. He was friendly and accessible. although he was close by, the accommodation is completely private. The location is very near to Lamington National Park (Binna Burra side), which was our reason for coming to the area. Because it is semi-rural, it is a 20 minute drive to the supermarket, so remember to stop and shop on the way in.

    David2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • A clean, affordable house ideal for our family of five. Had everything we needed in the kitchen (including a dishwasher - a great bonus for a family on holiday!) There aren't great views from inside, but plenty of beautiful bushwalks very close by. The kids loved the visits from the wallaby and joey.

    Cathy2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan was a great host, available if we had any questions. The place was neat and tidy, kitchen stocked with the essential cutlery and crockery. Beds were comfy, and we all enjoyed a chuckle at the "hidden" toilet in the main bedroom. The place is close to Mt Tamborine and surroundings - Ryan recommended the Canungra Hotel for meals and it was a great feed both times we went, and very family friendly which suited us. A comfy and quiet place to come back to after a big day exploring.

  • This is a great place. Very conveniently near Binna Burra Park -- world class hikes thru temperate rain forest and then in 20 minutes or so you are back at home. This is a clean, lovely, big, modern, well equipped house. There were 5 of us and we were all very comfortable. The host is great, lives next door- convenient if you were to need him, but you have plenty of privacy. The price is GREAT. No

    David2017-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet location close to National Parks and Gold Coast.

    Hilary2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks, we had a great stay at your place.

    celine2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • The location is ideal to explore the Lamington National Park and surrounding area. It is quiet and peaceful and the house/apartment is well equiped (self- contained) with everything you need. It is very roomy and comfortable. A great, hassle-free stay. So much more economical than traditional holiday accommodation. We booked into the buffet dinner at Binna Burra Lodge. This is a great option if you want to head out for dinner. If the weather is good, head up early and watch the sun set before dinner. Thanks for a great long weekend!

  • La verdad es que toda esta experiencia fue genial. Jan y su pareja nos trataron muy bien. La casa es ideal: una casita de madera en medio del monte, donde descansar es lo primordial y respiras naturaleza. Repetiremos seguro! Gracias!

  • Jan couldn't have made us feel more welcome, & her kindnesses were continuous. The room was large & lovely, with views to die for, over the mountain ranges, & lovely countryside. We loved our chats & times we shared together. We would love to return one day, & to meet Terry.

    Nanette2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, I'd like to thank for Jan and Terry's prompt responses during the booking and their hospitality during our stay. We loved the feeling of the loved home. They have a spacious, characteristic and cute house filled with the warmth. It's a well-loved real home. My little daughter loved the attic feeling of the house and so I did. It's very handy to go bushwalking near Binna Barra. We also visited Denham Reserve and waterfalls nearby the house. They are hidden little gems. We like to come back during the summer and dip into the beautiful water hole. See you again!

    Julie2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We were welcomed at the door even though we arrived late. This home is fabulous, great views, birds calling in the morning. We were refreshed and relaxed after staying here and ready to tackle another day.

  • Jan and Terry made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The house is in a great location with very nice views. Ideally situated close to the great Binna Burra bush walks. Highly Recommended.

  • The drive up was stunning!! We were warmly welcomed on arrival which was wonderful. The experience was so relaxing with the most stunning views, charming house with multiple levels, welcoming host and really comfortable accommodation, the communal bathroom facilities worked wonderfully. We experienced wallabies, kangaroos the most beautiful scenery ... A home away from home with all the benefits of a secluded sanctuary. We recommend everyone who love nature and comfort to visit, you will want to come back again !!! We have to thank Jan and Terry for being wonderful hosts for a most relaxing time away !

    Rachel2014-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Jan and Terry was fabulous. The room was as described, with beautiful views to boot. We felt comfortable working in the kitchen and I enjoyed Terry's lessons on using the espresso machine (tasty!). Great advice on where to hike and what to see. And it's true - wallabies right in the yard! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

    Frances2015-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jan was wonderful! It's too bad her husband wasn't there, we seemed to have lots in common. Would have liked to meet him as well! The house is great- rustic and clean. We had great coffee and breakfast every morning with a view. It was a perfect mountain retreat.

  • As the first stop in Australia, this place is supering me so much!!!! This is the best gift i have ever had!! Wilson is always keeping in touch, very nice and taking me through all the details!! Just as what you see in the pictures, just that beatiful!! Small tips as below, my phone is out of signal when i drove to the place, so please make sure you check the location in advance and know where it is. Also, since it is the mountian road, don't be there that later, will be better before sunset! In the morning, everything is like a heaven! Please please spent more time here, you will love it!

  • Our stay was great, would certainly recommend.

    Poppy2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such a magical place...unique, relaxing, romantic. We spent two nights in mid winter and it was super cosy. We arrived to a full fridge including wine organic milk and a meal so that we didn't have to go out that night. Close to the national parks- we spent a great day hiking binna burra. Bring an aux cord if you want to plug an ipod or anything into the radio. They've got a dvd player and a big screen with quite a few movies but take your own if you want something more recent. We took our laptop and hdmi cord which worked but the sound wasn't great thru the projector (it is fantastic for tv or dvd though). Can't recommend this place highly enough!

  • What a pleasant stay we had at the Zen Inn. Peaceful and relaxed, just like the hosts Lisa & Andreas. Very comfortable bed, the birds will wake you up in the early morning. Binna Burra/Lamington NP is a beautiful area to walk. The views in the afternoon, driving up hill, are stunning.

    Saskia2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely spot, woke up to the birds, and among some lovely countryside. Bring whatever you need re food, the shopping is a drive away.

    Milla2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Zen Inn the cottage was beautiful and very peaceful. We saw a couple of kangaroos (or paddy melons) on the drive up to the house and the place was picturesque. Lisa was a great host and the fresh rock melon in the fridge as well as the beautiful citrus cake she made us was a lovely touch. Lisa also helped us set up the BBQ and found us a corkscrew as I didn't realize the wine bottle I had brought had a cork. Hospitality was fantastic :) Overall, the place was expectations plus! The only suggestion I would have is even though the bedroom has a warm heater and hot water bottles are on offer - if you're traveling in winter and have terrible circulation like me, bring along a little pair of slippers or big woolie socks as the house is a no shoe home! Special shoutout to Andreas who helped us with our bags and recommended witches falls walk in my tambourine which was a great start to our day in Mt Tambourine. Thanks for the wonderful stay Lisa and Andreas - we hope to be back again soon :) Michelle

    Michelle2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hosts! When we arrived Lisa had fresh watermelon and warm muffins! Yum! House was incredible and the most picturesque places! I'd love to stay here longer. So good!

  • Lisa is a wonderful host ..she made us feel very welcome. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the tranquility of the place. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped so if you bring all your food (and you can spice it up with some of the lovely herbs from their garden) you don't have to visit a shop!!a big plus in our view!! It has easy access to the lamington national park and all the gorgeous walks. Staying here provided us with a much needed restful break! thank you.

    Louise and Russell 2016-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay! We loved the fact it was only a 4 minute drive to Binnaburra National Park where the walks commence! Zen Inn was clean, compact and had all mod cons with plenty of hot water for much needed hot showers after a full day walking. The garden was a delight with many native birds making use of the flowering shrubs and bird baths. It is about a half hour drive to Tambourine or Mudgeeraba so make sure you bring supplies with you! The hosts Lisa and Andreas were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome!

    Cassie And Jeff2017-09-23T00:00:00Z

Welcome, make yourself at home. Soak up some mountain magic, breathe in the peace and tranquility of your own unique and luxurious space. Romantic and private, a hidden respite from city bustle with inspiring views, including an iconic view of Mt Warning. Be seduced by the charms of Bluehaven, nestled in a rain forest canopy. Bush walkers home base, a travelers place of rest, come enjoy a dream gateway to the real Australia. Bush, beaches , sunshine or rain, you'll be at home in Bluehaven.
Photos cannot do justice to the feeling of peaceful mountain ambience and tranquility one gets on entering this amazing space. The house is perched on the eastern escarpment of the scenic rim, and partly sits in forest canopy. Hangliders sliding quietly past the front bifold doors are a frequent colourful surprise. Verandas on three sides, multiple living spaces, and modern conveniences combined with million dollar views, Bluehaven is so much more than words can describe. Sun and moon rise can be viewed across the valley below, and over the opposite horizon. 200deg views from the Broadwater at Southport sweep south past Springbrook, Mt. Warning, and up onto Shipstern, a prominent feature in the Binna Burra section of the Lamington national park, which is a very scenic 10 min drive further past Beechmont. The north view looks into the local rainforest, wallabies sleep here, and bring up their young, bird life abounds in the area. From the south verandah or patio table, pictured in the main photo, one can find a spot to relax and soak in our majestic mountain sunsets. Nights are a wonderful chance for stargazing, clear mountain air and no street lights are conducive to spectacular full sky star shows. There is space in the car shed for your car to be garaged, you can walk to the local coffee house on weekends, or around the corner to local parks and waterfalls, or the jumpoff point for the hangliders. Driving any of the local roads up here is a view junkies Nirvana, and the amazing walks and views in the local World heritage listed National park are a major drawcard for travellers from the world over. A stay in Bluehaven could only enhance a visit to this wonderful corner of Queensland.
  • Ian was a wonderful host. He was friendly and accommodative, while communication was easy and key exchange was hassle free. His house has a gorgeous view that left my family and I breathless at times. It's the perfect place to wind-down and relax as his place is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking. A car is definitely recommended as you wouldn't want to miss an evening drive around the beautiful mountain landscape. Edward the neighborhood peacock will often pop by and it's a always a treat to just admire this beautiful creature- especially when he has his feathers pan out. My family and I enjoyed staying here and would definitely love to go back.

    Adriana2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great view overlooking the valley with sea of cloud. You can see the sun and moon rise over the balcony or just lying in bed. Paragliders say hello to us having breakfast. What a stay.

  • Beautiful house, beautiful views, great stay.

  • We had a lovely weekend family getaway! Spectacular views, resident peacock had the kids entertained. Would highly recomend to anyone wanting to visit just to relax and take in the views or for the walking trails nearby. Ian made sure we had everything we needed.

  • Had a lovely relaxed stay. Very clean. Amazing views. Comfy lounge with fireplace. Great nights sleep is comfortable bed. Had a excellent meal at the Canungra Pub only about a 10 min drive away. Moon rise was perfect. Kangaroos around in the morning as was the Peacock. Ian responded quickly to texts very welcoming. Would highly recommend. :)

    Sue2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome house and location is nicely tucked away in the mountains. Well appointed house and very clean. Surrounded by wildlife including a special friend named Eddie, the peacock, which the kids loved seeing and would follow him around all morning. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

    Michael2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for opening your beautiful home so people can share the magic and joy it provides. Such a comforting, beautiful space to unwind and let your surroundings take you to a place of bliss. And so close to awesome hiking tracks. Having such a friendly, easy to communicate with, host is an added bonus to the stay. Thank you Ian.

    Odette2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ian has created a lovely, comfortable and tastefully decorated home at Bluehaven. Photos can't quite grasp the incredible views that you are presented with as you step out onto the balcony! Lounging on the outdoor sofas with a book is absolute tranquility and you cant resist relaxation with the indoor fireplace and cozy couches in the living room. We were visited by Edward The Resident Peacock during our stay, he was a lovely surprise. Ian's place has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need and more to prepare your own meals if you bring your own food supplies. We highly recommend this as there really is no need to leave once you get there, however there are restaurants and takeaways about a 15 - 20 minute drive away if you wish to venture out. The scenery is well worth taking a drive! We highly recommend a stay at Bluehaven!

Mountain Queen is a holiday house where guests have exclusive access to the one acre property. The property is adjacent to national park, 2.5km from the Binna Burra Information Centre and the start of many wonderful bushwalks. Binna Burra Lodge has the Clifftop Dining Room and Lamington Teahouse should you wish to eat out. Beechmont has the unique 'Headmaster's Café' (in the old school building) open on Sat and Sun, and Beechmont Farmers Markets the 3rd Sun in the month. Binna Burra can be 5 to 10 degrees cooler than Brisbane or the Gold Coast. In cooler weather firewood is provided for the cosy wood fire in the lounge, and there are several other heating options. In Summer the house has aircon and fans. The house is powered by solar panels and is self sufficient with rainwater and septic tanks. The kitchen tap provides filtered rainwater for drinking. Flat screen TV in the lounge has satellite Foxtel and many stored movies available to watch. House does not have internet access, but you can get mobile phone reception. • Sue's beautiful property nestled in the mountains of Lamington National Park, is a truly unique and wonderful place. The big backyard, native animals and birds, as well as the charming homestead make for a magical family weekend away. Sue's hospitality and attention to detail were also second to none. We will visit again soon!

  • This house is gorgeous, beautifully equipped, such attention to comfort! Heating in each room, fireplace, hamper with good wine, thoughtfully decked out kitchen for 'home cooking', great foxtel library, walking maps and great recommendations in book. Decor amazing. We loved it. Our girls (6 and 4) absolutely adored the menagerie of birds, especially the curious cockatoos visiting the deck, helped by the thoughtfully provided bird seed. Impeccably clean. Sue was a fantastic communicator. We walked national parks by day and relaxed in comfort in the evening. We will return.

  • This is a 5 star house! Simply beautifully presented and gorgeous in every way. It was tremendously comfortable and felt so homey. We stayed over the Easter weekend and our host Sue sent us a text wishing us a Happy Easter and a wonderful stay! The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of soft, fluffy towels and blankets for the chilly nights. The room all had individual wall mounted heaters and we enjoyed the log fire. Sue made sure there were plenty of logs, too. We will be back! If you want a first class vacation spot, look no further. Thanks for having us!

  • Had the most amazing weekend away staying in this beautiful house. If you're looking for a glorious mountain escape then this is the house for you. You honestly don't have to leave the property for anything; there's a fireplace, a fire pit, a beautiful deck, a massive backyard and big comfy beds. What more could you want? Sue is a great host as well, making herself available to communicate with us via phone all weekend and even provided a little welcome basket too which was such a nice touch. Will most definitely be recommending Sue's place to family and friends.

  • We had the most fabulous long weekend away for my partners birthday. Only an hour from the Gold Coast but we were transported to another world, a world of babbling brooks surrounded by lush green paddocks, lowing cattle and steep lush hills, a million sparkling stars above a beautiful old world homestead, scented roses just a few steps from a wide wrap around verandah. Pure bliss! Combine this with a fabulous country kitchen, luxurious bath and crackling log fires and its fair to say our stay was pretty much perfect. We award 5 stars but we're telling our friends 4 only because we don't want it booked when we want to stay again......very soon! Paul & Esther

  • We had a magical few days at Canungra Valley. The house was just fabulous - lots of great spaces for people to do different things and the kids loved seeing some of the old fashioned features of the house. The creek gave us hours of pleasure despite the impacts of the recent floods. The cold water didn't deter the kids! The kayaks were a wonderful (URL HIDDEN) was the sighting of a turtle and a platypus. The hospitality and generosity shown by Debra and Rick was second to none. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend a visit by other families.

    Gretchen2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing place - and great for all ages. We had a mix of people from toddlers and teenagers to seniors - and everyone had an amazing time. Being in such comfort and having no phone reception was great! Roast dinner in the massive dining room and breakfast on the deck with the pot belly firing - everything was perfect. You can see the labour of love that this house has been and it pays dividends. We will definitely be back - maybe with some longer days to enjoy the outdoors a bit more next time!

  • Deb was very friendly and always checked on us to ensure we had everything we need and were comfortable. Area is extremely pet friendly, tidy and full of character. We have two small dogs and there is a fenced off balcony where the dogs can go outside and stay in that area without getting out too far. We enjoyed our time there~~~~ highly recommend!!!

    Angela2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great relaxing place. Very rustic. Out bed was really comfortable. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. We loved the resident cat and the old cattle dogs that would wander down to say hello. Really adds to the country experience. Debra was very accommodating and helpful. We would love to come back and spend more time there

  • We had a lovely stay at Canungra. The house was fantastic, with ample room for all 8 of us to enjoy. Very private and relaxing stay. The welcome platter was really appreciated on our evening arrival. Looking forward to visiting again.

    Dale2015-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend this place for a weekend get away. The house is amazing and so much bigger than we expected - the photos don't do it justice! We rented the house for a wedding nearby with a bunch of friends. There was plenty of room for all of us without feeling like we were living in each other pockets. Debra was lovely and went out of her way to accommodate all our needs. The area is stunning - beautiful views, wineries close by and plenty of creeks to swim in. We also loved the cows roaming around the property. Five star accommodation!

    Leigh2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • This house and land were absolutely breathtaking. Myself and a group of friends came here to celebrate my 35th birthday, and we had our breath taken away from the moment we opened the gate. I don't believe the pictures even do the place justice. With Debra's permission we will be back again and again.

This spectacular house is in Lamington National Park overlooking the Coomera and Numinbah Valleys. Near Binna Burra Lodge, it provides the same access to the 147 km of walking tracks in the National Park and the views from the house are amazing. The house is perfect for couples, families and groups of up to 8 friends. If there are only 2 in your group - check out Alcheringa Too, a smaller house next door, on the same ridge, with the same spectacular views and access to Lamington.
The house is on freehold land inside Lamington National Park, about 500 metres from Binna Burra Lodge and several track entrances to the park.
  • Absolutely beautiful house, in a spectacular location. Magnificent walking tracks close by. Suitably private. No fuss with the bookings. Tony was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. Loved every moment...we will definitely be coming back!

  • Absolutely adored the location and waking up to the sunrise and birds on the balcony. An amazing place to stay and at the doorstep to a lot of the nearby walks. Had an amazing and relaxing three days and wish I could've stayed longer! The artwork by Tony's son that hangs around the house is also beautiful and you can check out his home studio and gallery just down the road.

  • The views and location of this house cannot be beat - amazing views of the surrounding forests, mountains and coastline. Easy access to all the Binna Burra bushwalks and hiking trails. The house itself is a lovely open mountain house, which means you have to expect a bit of nature inside. Some parts of the house are a bit dusty and musty, you'll have moths attracted to the lights at night etc so beware if you suffer from allergies. The bathrooms are good and clean and the bedding was fresh. Most kitchen basics are provided. During our stay Tony was very accommodating and acted swiftly to replace a broken fridge.

    Jean2017-02-17T00:00:00Z

In 2012 our family bought a log cabin on 65ha (160 acres) in the mountains about 85km south of Brisbane near Canungra, Queensland, as a getaway and retreat. Mountain air, breathtaking views, simple pleasures.
In 2012 our family bought this log cabin on 65ha (160 acres) in the Gold Coast hinterland about 85km south of Brisbane near Canungra, Queensland, as a getaway and retreat. The mountain air, breathtaking views and escape from all the trappings of modern life are what we love and want to share. We’re proud to say we have no Wifi, no TV and limited solar electricity – just enough for lighting at night and to charge your mobile devices (when the sun’s shining). There are hand-washing laundry facilities only and a well equipped Laundromat in Canungra (a little village just 7km away). Beautiful untreated fresh rainwater is on tap. There is a cosy fireplace for winter evenings, with gas for hot water, cooking and refrigeration. The house has two private bedrooms available for b&b rental, one with a Queen bed, ensuite, and walk-in robe with room for a baby’s travel cot and a smaller bedroom, with two single beds and the use of a shared bathroom and toilet (a double bed can also be made available in place of the two single beds if required). You are welcome to share the kitchen, living and dining areas throughout your stay and there’s also a gas barbecue for outdoor cooking and dining in Queensland's wonderful weather. It is a great place to unwind and regenerate, to read, write, create, make music, art, recuperate or meditate. Lahey Creek runs through the glen below the dwelling with its beautiful shady rocky waterholes to explore. For those that want to use our place as a base to discover this beautiful part of the world, it is ideally located just 38km from Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, 22km from Mt Tamborine , 25km from Binna Burra and 44km from O’Reilly’s in the Lamington National Park.
There is so much to see and do in the locality - Mt Tamborine, Scenic Rim, Lamington National Park, Binna Burra, O'Reilly's, Canungra. Local wineries, markets, hiking, cafes, restaurants are all within an easy driving distance.
  • Beth, Nev & Duncan were the perfect hosts. They were very generous in letting us share their cottage and their hospitality went beyond than expected. We would love to go back and spend a few days again at the lovey cottage which is in a very quiet and secluded place. A great place to get away from the city life.

    Rajesh2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beth made us very welcome and the amazing breakfast set us up for our day's adventures. Fantastic dawn views of the mist rising out of the valley was unforgettable and great log fire to share in the evening.

  • Loved our stay. Mountain views are spectacular. Beth is an excellent host, very attentive, and we had many interesting conversations in front of the fire. Breakfasts were fabulous. The walk through their mountain forest is fantastic especially for the walking enthusiast. Highly recommended. Thank you Beth

  • Great place to get away from the city. Modern warm cabin, great views, and plenty of fresh air. Elizabeth does a great breakfast...nothing is too much trouble. Loved our stay.

    Dorelle2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Elizabeth was idyllic. My three lab mates and I from TN, USA were traveling to Brisbane for a conference and found Elizabeth's home for an adventure before the conference. Before our arrival, Elizabeth was very communicative and gave information about local things to do and details our stay. Elizabeth always responded promptly and was so eager to provide additional information to help us make the most of our three days with her! Even though there is a 15 hours time difference from TN to USA, Elizabeth was quick to respond and I would definitely recommend staying with her to anyone traveling to Au from out of the country :) The drive to Elizabeth's home was so fun with great scenery and Elizabeth recommended a grocery in town on our way to her where we stocked up on some supplies. Upon our arrival Elizabeth was generous enough to make us some appetizers and a delicious dinner. During our stay, Elizabeth made us a delicious and huge breakfast each day as well as a few yummy snacks and she was more than willing for us to use her kitchen to cook and store food. Elizabeth's home was gorgeous. A comfortable living room with a wood burning fireplace, a beautiful open kitchen, a great view through all the floor to ceiling windows from the dining room table, and our bedrooms/bathrooms were very comfortable. We couldn't ask for anything better and we loved all our conversations with Elizabeth about the house and property. Elizabeth was great company during our stay. One of our favorite parts of our stay was watching the sunrise from Elizabeth's porch and watching all the wallabies and birds! Such peaceful and refreshing mornings. During our stay we spent a day at Lamington National Park / Binna Bura which was a quick drive from Elizabeth's and a day at Springbrook National Park. Both were super fun! We ventured to Mt. Tamborine one night and had a great dinner at an Irish pub. Elizabeth's home is the BEST air bnb you could ask for! I'm so glad we got to go and our peaceful days there will be memories we will have forever! I highly recommend her air bnb and if I ever find myself in Au again, I know where I will want to stay!

    Emily2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! The rooms are comfy, cosy and had everything we needed and more. The gorgeous fire place and lounge were the perfect spot to spend the evening after a day of adventuring. Beth looked after our every need and was an absolute joy to be around. If you're lucky you'll get some of her delicious country baking! The property has views you could gaze upon for hours and at night be sure to look up as the stars are glorious. We also had the pleasure of seeing wallabies! While we enjoyed our "holiday", my team and I were there filming a television commercial. It was impossible to get a single bad shot. Beth also managed to help us out with props - she was a lifesaver. The couple of nights we spent at this retreat did not feel like work and it's all thanks to the the incredible hospitality of Beth and the picture perfect home and scenery. Whether it's for work or play, I highly recommend staying at the Ferny Glen Retreat. I've already planned on going back for some personal relaxation. Thank you Beth, we'll see you soon!

Our property is situated at the base of the Green Mountain section of the Lamington National Park. We are 9 kilometres from Canungra township and situated between two local wineries. It is a 30 minute drive to the Gold Coast or 1 hour to Brisbane. You’ll love our place with it's great views, the local wildlife, comfy bed, and spacious layout. Our cabin is good for couples and solo adventurers and within walking distance of local wineries. A 1.4 km onsite bush walking track is also available.
Our cabin and family home are co-located on 35 acres of rural and native bushland. The property is also home to all manner of wildlife including a variety of native birds, goannas and wallabies (similar to a kangaroo) which can be seen grazing most days, early in the mornings and late afternoons.
The Metz Cafe for coffee and snacks. Ginga Ninja Sushi Cafe for lunch and dinner Canungra Hotel and bottleshop for dinner and drinks. O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vinyeard for hot lunch or picnic by the creek. Foodworks Supermarket for all your essential and routine grocery needs.
  • The place is lovely with a very beautiful view. It was clean and modern with a nice deck and BBQ over looking the property. Very quiet and private. The breakfast hamper was a nice touch :). I will be visiting again.

The setting and scenery was delightful. Very peaceful. Would very much recommend this air bnb. Kathy was extremely helpful and flexible.

The cabin was perfect as it was beautiful to stay in & just relax, but also very close to attractions for when we did go out. We walked the 1.4km walking track on the property was had a gorgeous view. Kathy & Jeremy were so lovely & welcoming & made us feel so comfortable in their cabin. The cabin is stunning & really comfortable. Kathy has added so much extra touches to the cabin which really makes the stay great & memorable. We will be returning soon! Thank you!

Ideal for couples or families; 3 bedrooms (one Queen bed, four single beds); full kitchen and laundry facilities; spacious dining and lounge area; TV and DVD player (some movies provided); cosy fireplace (plenty of wood available); lovely house garden with BBQ and fire pit included. For farm bio-security reasons no pets are allowed.
Springbrook is a World Heritage Area with beautiful views, waterfalls, walks and forests. There are some cafes to enjoy but dinner options are limited. Always best to check opening hours.
  • My son chose Rozie and Davids house to spend his 26th birthday with his Nana (88 yrs young), girlfriend and us. My son and girlfriend live in Gympie and the rest of us are from Townsville. We were all stunned at the beauty of the the gardens and surrounding farm. The house is very spacious and the 3 bedrooms were just beautiful. I loved the kitchen and the massive fridge. To be honest I loved everything about the house. We had the happiest and most memorable time staying here and our hosts were just wonderful. Rozie is such a gentle and welcoming lady and David was a champion for greeting us straight from getting out of hospital. Thank you both. Thank you to Stephen and all the dogs to, you all made our trip fantastic.

  • It is not just a stay in a house but a rural experience on a working picturesque farm. A fantastic place for all ages. The house is well equipped for longer stays and the standard of cleanliness is second to none. We would not hesitate to recommend or to return to Echo Valley Farm Cottage. Thank you!

    dale2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beatufilly kept farmhouse (circa 1954) pristinely clean and extremely well fitted. Rozie and David very friendly and generous hosts without being intrusive. Loved all the animals, especially the dogs who were taught to play AFL by my two (adult) children. Highly recommended.

    Kate2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a wonderful stay. All the little touches made it most enjoyable. Peaceful and serene surrounding. Stayed with by two boys and they loved the animals, wide spaces and hospitality. Dogs were a big hit - so well trained and friendly. Loved the fresh eggs from breaky and the macadamia nuts.

    Cath2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 will definitely be back Fantastic hosts and the cottage was bigger than we expected, clean and had everything we needed. Close to the city but you didn't feel it, beautiful country side right at the doorstep. Plenty of activities to keep us busy without having to go very far at all.

    Katrina2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully relaxing home away from home, we didn't want to leave.

    Ann2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Echo Valley was absolutely lovely! It was by far the best place we have booked through airbnb to date. The cottage is much bigger than in the pictures (a pleasant surprise) and it is surrounded by the most beautiful gardens and view of the farm. We appreciated all the little touches such as art work throughout the cottage, complimentary kiwi jams and macadamia nuts, and a little vase of flowers in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable (heaps of pillows) and the garden view from the main bedroom was very beautiful indeed. We especially loved the outdoor fire place in the evenings. Not to mention the gorgeous farm dogs who would come up and for a little pat and play while we toasted marshmallows. If you want to stay somewhere close to all the bush walks, lookouts and want total peace and quiet - book this cottage! Although it was just my partner and I who stayed, it would be perfect for a family. We will be back for sure! Thank you Rozie for your amazing hospitality!

Our home is close to The World Heritage Listed Springbrook National Park - so close that our property borders it on 2 sides. We think you'll love it here because you can stroll 2 minutes down the road and be on the Purling Brook walking track, the adventurous can hike the 17K Warrie Circuit, or take an easy scenic drive off mountain to all of the Gold Coast beaches & attractions. But best of all you can stay on the mountain, unwind, relax & enjoy the serenity and beauty that is Springbrook.
*** Please note: At present the only access road into Springbrook is Pine Creek Road (which runs off the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road). There is NO access via Mudgeeraba for at least all of 2017. All parks, look-outs and walks are open, (with the exception of the eastern section of Purling Brook circuit, from the John Stacey suspension bridge up to the eastern lookout and the causeway at the top of the falls), The western section down to the bottom of the falls or onto the Warringa Pool track can be walked, as is the section up to Apple Tree Park. ____________________________________________________________ We built our 'modern take on a cabin' a few years ago as an extension to our home, a place to watch TV without disturbing each other and for family and friends to stay over. In 2017 we decided to share it on Airbnb so that others can enjoy beautiful Springbrook. Standing proudly on its giant steel legs and perched on the escarpment there are filtered views through the tree tops across the World Heritage Listed Springbrook National Park out to Surfers Paradise & Broadbeach. Enjoy relaxing on the cabin's private deck where cool breezes keep it comfortable in summer and sheltered in winter. (Once your booking is confirmed we will email you with more details about the cabin, evening meal options if required and the facilities & activities in the area to help you plan & enjoy your stay). In general: The cabin is fully self contained, it has a separate bedroom with QS Bed, an ensuite, a 'Kitchenette' with light cooking facilities, bar-fridge and pantry (with a breakfast starter kit of milk, eggs, sugar, a variety of teas & coffee, bread, butter, jam) and lounge room with an entertainment system (Foxtel, TV, DVD player), reclining chairs ensure you can enjoy comfortable night in. The cabins private deck has two comfy rocking chairs to idle the time away, cushions, throw rugs, magazines and a BBQ/temperature controlled Oven. Privacy window blinds throughout the cabin can be pulled down for your comfort. We supply all towels, sheets, bedding etc for your use during your stay. The Cabin is joined by a short deck and 5 stairs to our main deck which our guests are more than welcome to enjoy, relax and take in the view (as in photo provided) as well as full use of the (larger) main deck with it's Balinese style Hut and outdoor table/8 chairs under it - at any time. The main deck is also perfect for viewing the lights of the Gold Coast after dark. (Please feel free to message me with any queries you may have re cooking facilities etc). Our garden is as nature provides, free to wander and enjoy, it is not landscaped purposely as we like it to blend into the forest below and encourage the birds & wildlife. It is a very steep property and we prefer guests to only use the decked area and the front of the property. Photography is welcomed. Smoking is not allowed on our property, we ask all our visitors including our family and friends to respect this. We do have a dog (who's super friendly), he is locked in his purpose built playpen every evening on dusk, and if guests are comfortable with him he usually has free run of the main deck during the day. We are happy to put him in his playpen if you would prefer.
Springbrook is renowned for it's beautiful walks and waterfalls, local wildlife including Pademelons, Koala's and Potoroo's as well as over 100 species of birds. We ask all visitors to take care when driving on the roads as wildlife have no road sense at all. Being a Rainforest our rainfall is much higher than that on the Gold Coast, and our temperatures generally 5-10 degrees cooler, so we recommend bringing a cardigan/jumper and umbrella just in case. We are located in a quiet no through road, perfect for rest and relaxation. Wander a couple of minutes down the road and access the Purling Brook 4K walking track, or use a section of this track for a stroll to the Dancing Waters Café - one of our favourites (along with Rosella's Café, located at The Canyon). A short stroll to the main road will take you to The Fudge Shop, Greenwood Produce Farm, The Springbrook local craft shop and also The Observatory. There are currently no restaurants/cafe's on the mountain open for evening meals.
  • Clean and well stocked apartment. Waking up to the sunrise and birds sounds was a relaxing way to start the day. Was conveniently located to walking distance from Purlingbrook national park. Lesley is also a friendly host.

  • If you are after a stunning rainforest retreat with lovely hosts do yourself a favour & book Lesley & Ians place.

  • This little cottage is a very quiet and private retreat. Furnishings are of good quality and the location and hosts are second to none. Beautiful walks close by and lovely fresh air and clear sky of the forest. It's tiny but equipped well enough for short stay.

    Kim2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie's warmth, hospitality and communication was brilliant and made the stay very enjoyable. The room was just perfect, the attention to detail was impeccable. The views from the deck are just stunning, whether it be relaxing in the chairs soaking up the morning sun or looking out towards the lights of the Gold Coast of an evening. We will be highly recommending friends and family to spend some time in the beautiful part of the world made all the more enjoyable with our stay at Leslie's wonderful abode. Thank-you, Sean & Felicity

    Sean2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lesley's place is an awesome little one bedder with an awesome view over the hills and all the way out to the ocean. It has a great balcony with a little barbecue. Springbrook is absolutely superb. You can literally walk along the top of Purling Brook Falls and arrive at a cafe serving breakfast from your front door with this place. Lesley and Ian are lovely people and are so welcoming! All they want is for you to have a great stay. I would dead-set come back here. Thank you!!

    Wade2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lesley's place is amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The cabin was in a beautiful treetop location with fantastic, clean facilities. Lesley's communication throughout the booking stage and our stay was wonderul. So helpful and informative about the Springbrook area. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway in the trees. We can't wait to stay again in the future.

  • This was my first stay as a Guest on AirBnB. I'm an experienced Host, so it was exciting to experience it from the other side. Lesley's AirBnB cabin, perched in the treetops of Springbrook, is the ideal getaway for anyone looking for a secluded, well equipped, rainforest getaway. If you want to stay in Springbrook, this is THE place to book! Local cafes are just a short stroll away and you have direct access to walks which lead directly to the waterfalls and other local tourist attractions. Lesley is the greatest Host, with so much local knowledge of the area and she's so approachable and down to earth, making the stay even more enjoyable. We will be back and I highly recommend this AirBnB to those looking for a Springbrook getaway!

    Dan2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! The photos actually don't do justice to the beauty of this cabin and the scenery from the verandah. Lesley provides everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Everything is super clean, neat and nicely decorated. We loved the proximity of the place to walking tracks - but also the home entertainment is amazing - massive TV, great speakers and best of all, the best reclining lounges ever. Lesley and Ian were very helpful and kind. They have the cutest friendliest dog too. Will come back again when I get the chance. P.s. bring your own food for dinner - as the closest restaurants for dinner is like 45 mins away.

Un bonsoir et il est reparti!!!tres surprenant cette expérience !!aucun contact sympa !!juste on a l impression de servir de porte monnaie afin qu il termine sa maison en travaux !!!

  • We had a great stay. The home was great, the room was sooo nice and had a great view of the escarpment from a very comfortable bed. You can, watch the morning sun gradually light up the forest on the escarpment, count the cows as they wandered across the hillside and listen to the birds. The creek at the bottom of the paddocks was a relaxing walk. We recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and/or romantic stay in the country. GREAT.....

  • I had a wonderful stay in this lovely little house in the forest. It's only a few minutes' drive to amenities but is tucked away high on a mountainside, overlooking a dam far below--a wonderful view. Drive to the top of the mountain and you're in a national park. At the large property around the house, there was an abundance of birdlife, a babbling brook, and lots of fresh air--all very relaxing. I spent an enjoyable 12 days here, with Jan my gracious and accommodating host. Thank you Jan!

  • Beautiful scenery, friendly possums, abundant birdlife. Relaxing.

  • Peter's house is in a great position, close to the rainforest walks and a short drive from the canyon walk. The house is rustic and comfortable. Make sure you bring what food you need - we didn't bring milk and Peter kindly helped us out with some UHT he had in the cupboard. There are a couple of cafes within walking distance but they have very little in the way of day to day produce.

    Ian 2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little cottage just a short walk to breathtaking waterfalls in the National Park. Visits from birds and possums on the decking was magnificent. All you need to take is your food, clothes and good walking shoes. We want to go back again.

    marg2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a great experience despite extreme weather - wind and rain. A little cold in the house without an electric blanket for the queen bed and the gas heater kept stopping unless set on the lowest setting. Apart from that the location was perfect and it was so quiet at night. Would recommend the house to anyone.

    Glen2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very cosy and right at the Springbrook national park. We have new animal friends came visiting right after we checked in which is a pleasant surprise. It was a unique and amazing experience to be so close to the nature and be grounded. Peter is very accommodating and easy to communicate, the process was easy too - no hustle at all. Highly recommended! And btw, do check out the Dancing Water Cafe nearby - food is delicious!

    Lewis2016-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was the most perfect place to spend Christmas! It is fully equipped with everything you may need. We could've spent the whole time on the decking looking out for the local wildlife, but we ventured into the national park and there's the most beautiful natural attractions right on your doorstep. Daily birds and nightly possums are a delight. Thank you Peter, what a great place! Would definitely recommend.

  • We had such a great time at Dragonfly Cottage. It had everything we needed, was quiet, comfortable and beautiful wildlife as a bonus. The location was ideal and just as we expected.

    David2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time in Dragonfly Cottage - our very first Airbnb experience. Everything was just as in the description. The house is very comfortable and even in the colder nights that little heater keeps it nice and cosy! You hear so many birds, frogs and crickets, it is really beautiful and relaxing. Beware of the wildlife on the deck though - they obviously are very comfortable with humans around! The Possum jumped the table and the Kookuburra stole our salami :) We did the 6 km walk which you can start from your cottage -it was spectacular - as was the best of all look outs! Thanks Peter, we will try to come back and send a few friends round!

  • We had such an amazing night in this old church. Our host took great care of us with unexpected treats - everything was provided for a memorable getaway.

  • Just incredible! From start to finish our stay was amazing. The atmosphere of the church is like nothing else, coupled with all the special touches our thoughtful hosts had put in place, it made our stay the most memorable of all our Airbnb experiences so far. Despite some great adventures in the beautiful surroundings, I think we'd have been just as happy to stay in doors the whole time. Thank you so much for having us!

  • My partner and I had an enjoyable stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

  • What a fantastic place. We arrived late in the evening and there was a meal on the stove all ready for us + plenty of refreshments and food in the fridge which was not expected. Really really enjoyed this place, pictures do not do it justice there is just so much detail. Such a beautiful part of the world as well, awesome views across the road. Wilson popped over to say hello & make sure we didnt need anything. Highly recommend this place

  • Hospitable host and food in the fridge and wine supplied were appreciated. Lovely location with great views and walks. With such good reviews however had naively expected a dishwasher in the kitchen and a more thorough level of pre-cleaning.

  • Fantastic cosy church suitable for family getaways. House well set up with movies, games, kitchen equipment, wood fireplace, couches, big dining table. The onsite aviary was a hit.

  • An amazing place to stay. Fantastic location and wonderful hosts. St John's is atmospheric and quirky and the whole family enjoyed it. The hosts provided a lovely meal and they really thought of everything. Just be aware that there are no shops nearby.

  • Fabulous views from a very cosy cottage! We had a great stay in Adrienna's cottage, there is everything you need for a short stay and more..we were swamped with birds using the feed that Adrienna left us and had a great time watching the lorikeet chase the others off. The location is ideal for the walks and is very quiet and peaceful. Adrienna was very welcoming and kindly waited for us in the cottage until we arrived in the evening.

  • We had a lovely weekend. The cabin had a great feel about it and we loved the surrounds. Doesn't look quite as fresh as it does in the photos but it's very clean and had everything we needed. Arriving to a toasty fire was wonderful. We would love to return

  • If you're looking for a cozy flat with a great view over the bushland of Springbrook, this will be your choice. Check in and check out was uncomplicated and Wayne a helpful and friendly host. The flat might not be equipped as well as other Airbnbs but it has everything you need to spend a great time hiking in the nature. Many amazing lookouts and beautiful hiking path in the area to choose from. Thanks again for a wonderful time.

  • We really had a great stay. Adrienna and her husband were very nice and have setup their little rain forest retreat beautifully. It was a fantastic space with jaw-dropping views as far as the gold coast. And as for Springbrook National Park itself? It's an absolute must.

  • My sister and I recently stayed a weekend at Contemporary Rainforest Retreat and had a wonderful experience. It was a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The view and feeding the beautiful variety of birds was a highlight. My sister and I were also able to enjoy a great walk in the rainforest . The cottage was very well appointed and our host Wayne was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying at this Retreat.

  • What a lovely quiet place in the mountains! We very much enjoyed our 3 day stay there. Adrienna and Wayne left seeds to feed the birds - so we had parrots for visitors on the deck! We also very much enjoyed the comfy living room and fire side after the hikes. Within short drives, there are several hikes to lovely waterfalls and with stunning views down huge cliffs. Adrienna and Wayne have been very sweet and are helpful with anything you might need. Can definitely recommend this place. Thanks!

  • We loved our weekend in this cottage in Springbrook. Adrienne met us at the property to pass on the keys and give us some firewood etc. The cottage was spotlessly clean and really well equipped with decent pots, pans and utensils (which we find can be pretty rubbish in lots of places). We were also given some bird seed to feed the resident birds and were treated to cockatoos, king parrots, rosellas and lorikeets. The view from the deck as well is amazing - you can see the gold coast through the trees. For a relaxed weekend, this cottage is perfect and we would definitely return one day.

  • We had a wonderful time at Peta's house and Springbrook. The house has everything you need, very clean & in a great location. We did 2 great walks, Twin Falls (the best) and Purling Brook Falls (start just in front of the house). Peta is a great host, can't wait to go back!!!

  • What a fantastic warm and extremely clean little cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A perfect weekend away with our adult children and this accomodation suited our needs perfectly. Three bedrooms with two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, excellent location and plenty of firewood to use in the combustion fire. The host was very friendly, easy to deal with and provided us with more than what was expected. Can't say enough good things about this place and we loved everything about it.

  • Fantastic location in Springbrook right near Purlingbrook Falls in Springbrook National Park and a great little house for a short getaway. Our hosts have thought of everything you could need for a comfortable stay. With a gorgeous little deck off the back of the house to watch the birds while having a cup of tea or glass of wine we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation.

  • Peta's house is a great place to get away for the weekend located on a nice, quiet street. Literally across the road from Purlingbrook Falls. The house was spacious and clean, but still felt like a home. We had a great time and will definitely be staying again.

    Cody2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay at Peta's cottage in Springbrook. The house is cute and cosy and has everything you would need for your stay. It was especially great to have all the movies and games and even a kids craft box to make use of while it was raining outside with a warm fire inside and plenty of firewood. And it's just across the road from one of the most amazing waterfall walks anywhere. Fantastic!

    Meisha2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • From the first time we communicated, I was thoroughly impressed with Peta's welcoming and helpful approach. She answered any questions we had before we arrived and provided useful information on the Springbrook area. When we arrived, the house was immaculate and welcoming - it felt just like coming to stay at Grandma's house! The setting is gorgeous - waterfall & beautiful walks just across the road. The house looks better than the photos suggest. And the hospitality that Peta offers is so welcoming - from the ready-made fire to the cling wrap in the drawer (something you always forget on holidays) to the activities in the cupboards, this house is so well setup. We really enjoyed getting away from the city and living life simply. If you need a peaceful break, "Shalom" is for you!

The Cedar Room is a self-contained suite with a private outdoor sitting area from which to enjoy the native wildlife or settle back with a good book. Continental breakfast and cheese platter on arrival is included in the tariff. Only 30 minutes from the Gold Coast, one hour from Brisbane and 5 min from Binna Burra, Lamington National Park, we are ideally situated for bushwalkers, birdwatchers, photographers, and those looking for an escape from city life.
The Cedar Room has a comfortable double bed and private ensuite. There is a kitchenette with microwave (no stove-top or oven), electric frypan, toaster, sandwich maker and egg cooker. There are large windows to see out to beautiful gardens and to view the many birds moving throughout the property anytime of the day. A selection of tea, coffee and cereal is provided and a breakfast tray including fruit, yoghurt, and breads will be placed in your fridge upon arrival. Your ensuite includes towels, toiletries, hairdryer and basic first aid kit.
  • We would recommend this stay to anybody who wants to get away for a peaceful quiet break, away from it all in extremely comfortable and clean accommodation. The cheese platter and breakfast was a great touch. Make sure you make the most of Kens passion for the surrounding area and his knowledge of the local wildlife. A must do is to spend time in his aviary which is home to an amazing collection of finches and other birds which he encourages you to enjoy. Mike & Leanne

My place is close to the rainforests, views, waterfalls and walks. You’ll love my place because of the location, the studio space in the back yard for creativity or other interests. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, art lovers, artists and business travellers.
While the guests bedroom is small with a comfortable double bed, there is wardrobe to put your luggage and if more space is required you could use another room. As well, there is a dining room, kitchen and verandah as extra living areas. It is unique in that it is homely and a way of sharing what it is like living in a beautiful rainforest area with an artist. It is not meant to be a resort style accomodation.
It is usually a very quiet neighbourhood normally with minimal traffic
  • Lynne was exceptionally warm and welcoming and the name rainforest retreat is apt. Her place is like an art gallery and she offered to draw my portrait for a small price but I declined. The Springbrook area is exquisite = perfect to escape city life.

    Susan2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • My mum and I were disappointed from our stay at Lynne's ... The room was not big enough for us to open our luggages and walk around the bed, and we didn't really get the occasion to have a proper discussion with our host. We found Lynne's place way too overpriced ..
