Lugares para alojarse en Bleecker
This is a one bedroom apartment on the second floor of my home. It includes a full kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom with king size bed and large closet and large living room. It is fully furnished and air conditioned. The windows are large providing lots of light and fresh air since they face both the east and west sides of the house. The apartment is in a Victorian house built in 1892 which I have been carefully restoring for several years. I live on the ground floor.
The house is in a residential neighborhood which is quiet at night. However, we are one block from Main Street which is a traditional old downtown with 19th century architecture. It is very walkable to a great food co-op with cafe and deli, and other downtown businesses.
  • ¡Buen lugar! ¡Gran valor!

  • Encantadora casa victoriana antigua, toques bien pensados y limpios!

Year round indoor pool house that is 2000 square feet located in the lower adirondacks. There are several outdoor activities to do in the area...fishing, boating, kayaking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing & restaurants. Check out my guidebook with things to do in and around the area including near by lakes and restaurants on the lakes. Spend the day exploring and then come back to relax in the warmth of your very own private pool, sit by a fire on the patio or start the grill.
THE POOL HOUSE IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ AND UPDATE YOURSELF ON THE COUPLE OF CHANGES WE HAVE MADE TO ENSURE EVERYONES SAFETY. I AM RUNNING A SPECIAL FOR THE MONTH OF MAY...IF YOU STAY 3 NIGHTS & I WILL REDUCE THE RATE TO $99 a night MONDAY-FRIDAY AND $115 ON SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS night. Do not instant book. Contact me with your dates and I will send you a special offer with the discount. (No discount for Labor Day Weekend) This is a great place to “work from home” Excellent WiFi. Work while the children are enjoying themselves in the pool. The entire pool house is yours and you have complete privacy. Plenty of restaurants are doing take out orders and delivery’s. Hello... If you just want to get away from it all and get some R&R this is the place. We are going above and beyond with disinfecting the pool house. We are using 2 cans of Lysol each cleaning on every single service including counter tops, appliances, furniture, chairs, beds, pillows, door knobs, light switches, etc. along with using 409. It has always been common practice to wash all linens, blankets and towels even if they were not used. We have kicked it up a notch and everything is getting washed twice in hot water. We are leaving all windows and doors open when guest leave and when we do not have guest. We made a decision almost 2 weeks ago (March 14th) to self isolate and quarantine ourselves. Also, keep in mind I may ask you to check in sometime between 4-6 if I have guest leaving on the same day as your arrival. But I will give you an exact time the pool house will be available when your reservation is confirmed. The reason is because we are not going into the pool house for 3 hours after guest leave to disinfect and clean. This is to protect everyone including you and your family. We are asking all guest to leave all the linens, towels, blankets, hand towels, bathroom rugs, etc on the pool house deck the morning of your departure. These new practices have been in place now for 2 weeks because of what is going on in the worlds today. It is for the safety of everyone around. If you are not comfortable performing the couple of new temporary departure procedures I put into place for the safety of everyone please do not make reservations at this time. Thank you. Please do not make reservations if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus or had symptoms of the virus. I am also asking that all NYC residents and all boroughs to make reservations from May 1st on and not before. Please and Thank you. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me. Please be safe and take all precautions to keep everyone safe. -Chantale :-) Come, enjoy, relax and create memories. You will love being in the heated pool during the fall looking outside through all the glass doors at the beautiful foliage. In the middle of winter watching the snow fall while you’re splashing around in a heated pool. At the end of the day cozy up with a cup of hot chocolate on the comfy sofa and watch your favorite TV show. In the summer time enjoy spending time on the wrap around deck sipping drinks, playing corn hole and having a BBQ and ending the day with making s’mores over an open fire. This property will not disappoint. You have everything you need for an awesome get away. We do live in the country and have well water. We do have a filtration system. But if we get a lot of rain the system can not always keep up. So you may sometimes have the smell of sulfur coming through the water. Unfortunately this is beyond my control. I would say 95% of the time you will not experience that. Please click on the photos of my place to scroll through so you can see the entire photo and not just part of them. The pool house is 2000sf with a 16’x32’ year round heated pool. Fully equipped with a full bath, 1 bedroom/loft which sleeps 4 guest. 2 additional guest may sleep on the sofa sectional. There is a day bed that pulls out and very comfortably sleeps 2 and the Futon which sleeps 2 in the loft. There is a fully kitchen has just about everything you would need for your stay. There is an air fryer, blender and Keurig coffee maker as well. I provide all the bathroom towels, pool towels, linens, blankets and pillows. You have access to the internet. We have Netflix, Hulu and CBS All Access. There is no cable TV. Also, in the pool house you can use the wireless speaker to connect to your favorite music app. The acoustics in the pool house are amazing. There is a concrete patio that wraps around 3 sides of the building and also another 25’x25’ patio with an outdoor fire pit. We provide wood free of charge. This building is new construction and the siding has not yet been put on. That will be done in 2020. I do live on the property and will make myself available for whatever you might need or any questions you have. We do have 2 dogs that live on the property. They are very friendly. We have a black lab and a German Sheppard. Guest are not allowed to bring any pets. When we have guests we will be outside with our pups so they do not disturb you. They are very loving friendly dogs and are well trained. If you are not a dog person this is not the place for you to stay because my pups will be out and about on the property with me when I am working. Please message me if you have any questions at all about the space. I have been staying at Airbnb’s for many years. IMy goal is to provide you with a great and memorable place to stay, excellent service and a place you will tell all of your friends about. After your stay but before you leave I would greatly appreciate any feedback. I want to know what you loved most about your stay and also where I might be able to make improvements for my future guest. I want you to be comfortable and happy during your stay. Even though I do not allow pets because I have 2 dogs we have a 2 nice boarding places 10-15 minutes from us. If you want your fur babies close to you while your enjoying some time away you definitely have that option. Muddy Paws in Gloversville and Harvey’s Pets in Johnstown. Don’t forget to checkout my GUIDEBOOK...for amazing stuff in and around the surrounding area. Saratoga Track season is just around the corner. Spend the day in the wonderful city of Saratoga and return to the refreshing pool and have a BBQ and sit by the fire at the end of the sipping on your favorite beverages. We do have taxi services that will take you into Saratoga and you can take an Uber or Lyft back. The average cost for the share ride runs around $40 or so. Depending on the time of day and what’s going on. If you are going to stay during track season season reach out to me. I will be offering a discount if your stay is 4 nights or more. Track season 2020 is from Thursday July 16 through Monday September 7. Some last notes to keep in mind and that is I will give you total privacy unless you have questions or concerns. My goal is to give you the best possible get away I can offer. My space is very unique unlike most other airbnb’s and it has a lot of offer. I am big on communication. So I most likely will check in at least once during your stay to see how everything is going. Regulating and maintaining an indoor heated pool requires a lot of attention to detail. That is why it is so important to follow the pool house guidelines which are outlined here on my page, displayed in the pool house and I go over them with you in detail when you arrive. I only take up about 15 minutes of your time. You will not be disappointed with your home away from home getaway!!! Thank you for looking at my space. If you have any questions please reach out to me. I look forward to giving you the best get away experience while you are here. P.S. TAKE A LOOK AT MY GUIDEBOOK :-)
There are several really good restaurants in the area all within 10-30 minute drive. The food market and Walmart is 10 minutes away.

JUST WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR! bright and breezy. Cool and eclectic. Great sandy beach. Hot tub! Fire pit. Grill. Outdoor HOT shower. BOAT, BEACH, KAYAK, READ, RELAX, STARGAZE, FISH, ENJOY, HIKE, BIKE, LIVE, SWIM, GATHER, COOK, EAT, LOVE! Sweetheart is a small, rustic cottage.
We want you to be our guest! If we have availability for the week you are interested in, let us know what you can afford to pay and we'll try to help you plan a wonderful and affordable vacation! IMPORTANT: Sweetheart is heated primarily by a wood stove. It is not insulated and can get chilly in the late Fall season. If you do not feel comfortable with a wood stove (it may have to be stoked throughout the night) then this may not be the house for you. If you're up for a great price, "roughing it" in the cooler weather, this is definitely the house for you! As important- Sweetheart is a rustic cottage. The floors are uneven, you may see a mouse, you probably will see a spider. The bedrooms are small. The wall between the two bedrooms does not go all the way to the ceiling. It is best for families or very good friends. It is clean. comfortable, affordable and fun and we love it! Sweetheart is full of love and laughter, kitschy and wonky, an excellent place to bond with your family and friends- a wonderful place to experience beauty and peace. We would love to share with you. "Sweetheart" is a cheerful three-season vacation home just steps away from a private beachy area shared with neighbors on beautiful East Caroga Lake. The house is not waterfront. The talented owners, a designer/builder and a gourmet cook, have turned "Sweetheart" into a relaxed, informal retreat with a focus on outdoor living. The spacious, level double lot, with its lovely backdrop of mixed woodland, features an new grill, hot outdoor shower, six-person jetted spa, picnic table, and a comfortable living area circling a stone fire pit. The exterior of "Sweetheart" is classic Adirondack - barn red clapboard siding with mullioned windows and shutters painted a forest green, the front yard soft with pine needles from stately trees rimming the property, paths and borders carefully edged with native stones. Indoors, white-washed cedar walls and aqua enameled wood floors lend a touch of "beach shack" atmosphere, repeated in seascape oil paintings and shell collections. (An exuberant painting collection also includes landscaped and still-lifes.) The open living area features a large living room and an eat-in kitchen. The cathedral ceiling is hung with light strands and vintage colored-glass globe chandeliers for an amber glow . A brick fireplace with wood stove insert centers one wall. The wood stove showcases beautiful fires and efficiently heats the camp on chilly evenings. Entertainment options include TV (no cable), DVD and VCR and board games. Please note that the televisions are "old school" and will not be compatible with a firestick ,etc. High-speed WI-FI internet access is provided for your laptop computer- your best bet for watching current shows and movies, etc. The kitchen has large, charmingly old-fashioned "camp" windows that swing open on top-hinges to hook onto the rafters above, white vintage cabinetry, and a 30's vintage sheet linoleum floor in a harlequin pattern of black, red and gray diamonds that we happily uncovered during renovation. The antique wood dining table and painted kitchen chairs seat six. The fully-equipped eat-in kitchen includes refrigerator, fabulous vintage electric range with "crock pot" slow-cooker insert, enameled sink with built-in drainboard, microwave, toaster oven, blender and coffee maker. A china cupboard holds a charming array of vintage dinnerware, while a butcher block unit stores generous serving bowls and platters. A large mirror on the range wall reflects beautiful green light from the kitchen's two walls of windows. The small master bedroom features the rustic glamour of a queen-size canopy bed hand-crafted by the Amish from twigs and branches painted a dreamy white and swathed in little white string lights. The walls are white with a distressed-finish antique door. Two windows offer circulation of cooling breezes. The second bedroom features a trundle bed (two twin beds that can be made into a king size bed). A window looks out across lawn to lovely evergreen trees. A dresser and wall hooks provide clothes storage. A full sleeper-sofa on the sun porch allows "Sweetheart" to accommodate a total of six guests. The beds are outfitted with attractive spreads, blankets, and pillows. Guests provide their own linens: sheets, pillowcases, and towels. The enclosed sun porch, with three walls of multi-paned glass and screened windows that are curtained for privacy, is an ideal den or third bedroom. A suite of comfortable beige leather furniture includes a sectional sofa that incorporates two recliners and a full sleeper-sofa, providing plenty of space for hanging out as well as sleeping in. An ivory-enameled Jotul free-standing gas fireplace will warm up that area in cool weather. Next to the bedrooms is a full bath with toilet, console sink, and small shower. One wall of the bathroom serves as a graffiti guest book. An outdoor hot shower and hot tub (along with a dip in the lake!) provide summer's best bathing experiences. Outside features a gas grill and a large picnic table whose comfortable benches have backs to them and seat six easily. Bluestone stepping stones set in a pebble patio lead to the six-person jetted spa**** offering relaxation under the stars. Next to the spa is an enclosed outdoor shower. In the large, grassy clearing beyond, a collection of comfortable Adirondack furniture, including a rustic swing, encircles a stone fire pit for bonfires and s'mores. Nearby is a horseshoe pit. A short walk across the quiet road rimming East Caroga Lake brings you to the sandy, protected waterfront shared with a handful of neighbors. In addition to offering great swimming, you may rent kayaks or canoes to launch from here for fishing and exploring East Caroga Lake's many coves and inlets. A channel leads to West Caroga Lake, allowing boaters to paddle to the village center for a meal. Hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails, trout-fishing streams, state hunting land, and gorgeous views from a mountaintop fire tower are all nearby. The county has seven golf courses and 44 lakes to enjoy, ranging from small hidden lakes on hiking trails to the 26 mile long Great Sacandaga. The village of Caroga Lake has restaurants, taverns, post office, laundromat, general store, coffee shop, gas, ATM, video rentals, and a chapel. All the amenities of a friendly, small city are 15 minutes away in the historic sister-cities of Gloversville and Johnstown. Centrally located in the accessible southern Adirondacks, just 30 minutes north of the NY State Thruway, "Sweetheart" is a great location for easy daytrip excursions to Saratoga (Performing Arts Center, Thoroughbred Racing, and much more), Lake George, Great Sacandaga Lake, Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame, Farmer's Museum, Fenimore Museum, Howe Caverns), the Albany capital region, and much of the six million acre Adirondack Park, including Blue Mountain Lake and Tupper Lake, homes of renowned Adirondack regional museums. It's about an hour to Saratoga, Cooperstown, and Albany; about four hours to New York, Boston, Buffalo, and Montreal. "Sweetheart" accommodates a maximum of six guests at all times. There is off-street parking for three cars. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. "Sweetheart" has a NO SHOES policy; bring slippers or flip-flops for indoor use. You provide your own sheets and towels- we provide bedding, blankets and pillows. ****We realize that the hot tub is a very nice feature at Sweetheart. Please use it wisely- shower before entering, don't use lotions, oils, etc. We want all of our guests to be able to enjoy it! If there seems to be a problem, please let us know right away and we will do our best to make it right as soon as possible. Please note that it can be finicky and does require maintenance. For that reason, there are no guarantees. We want you to be fully aware that you may not always have access and there is no refund if for some unforeseen reason it is not fit for use. Hasn't happened many times but we don't want any disappointment. Rest assured, we always try our very best!
Beautiful lake, great swimming, friendly neighbors, peace and quiet, awesome stars, fun fire pit, plenty of hikes, fun bars, close to Saratoga and some cute little towns. Great small town feel. Gorgeous!

This 3d floor flat is bright & airy with 3 bedrooms, bath with shower, full kitchen & laundry room - less than a 5 minute walk to our downtown with theater and a great food co-op. A 20 minute drive to Adirondack wilderness lakes & winter skiing.
The third floor was originally living space for household staff in this classic Queen Ann. It has very interesting roof lines reflected in the rooms, but is also very bright and spacious. Three bedrooms. One has a queen and the other two have twin beds, so it comfortably accommodates 4 guests. But we also have 2 air mattresses which allows it to sleep a total of 6.
It is a walkable neighborhood very close to downtown in our small city. Yet it is only a 15 to 20 minute drive to the pristine wilderness of the southern Adirondacks with its numerous lakes and mountain trails. Skiing, hiking and the best canoeing and kayaking in the country are available.

Recently renovated flat two blocks from downtown where you'll find the oldest courthouse in the country and the birthplace of Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Our home is just 30 miles from Saratoga Springs. It's also a short drive to the Adirondack Park with excellent hiking trails, and the Great Sacandaga Lake and Caroga and Canada Lakes for boating, fishing, and swimming. We welcome people from all backgrounds and nationalities. We love to meet new people, but also respect their privacy.
A cozy upstairs flat features one bedroom with a Queen-size bed and a walk-in closet. There is also a sleeper-sofa in the living room that sleeps one adult comfortably. While there is not a full kitchen available, we offer many amenities, including a coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, and toaster. We supply coffee and tea, cream and sugar, as well as a variety of baked goods. Also hot and cold cereals will be on hand. Milk and bottled water will be in the fridge. We are a short drive away from the Adirondack Park, with their excellent hiking trails, downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as many lakes, both large and small. Johnstown was founded by Sir William Johnson in 1763. He was the British Indian Affairs Superintendent for the Colony of New York and had strong relationships with the Mohawk and the other Iroquois Nations. His Baronial home still stands and is a State-owned historic site and museum. The site is approximately a five-minute drive from our home.
If you enjoy walking and looking Old Victorian architecture, a stroll down William Street, located a block away, is right up your alley.

Camp Garoga offers high quality accommodations year round for guests. Located in the foothills of the southern Adirondacks and bordering 400+ acres, Garoga(Bear or Moose Cabin) offers so much more of an experience than a hotel could ever offer!
Two cabins are available at Camp Garoga. So if our calendar shows no vacancy please inquire. If you are interested in the cabin with the jacuzzi, please let me know when inquiring. I do have other cabins as well, with jacuzzis. Think of Camp Garoga as a log cabin condo. Meticulous and affordable(priced just higher than hotels in town yet offering SO MUCH MORE!). We take great pride in owning one of the 3rd nicest cabin accommodations around. **FYI, we also hold the #1 and #2 positions :) The cabins are connected back to back to each other with Moose Cabin facing west and Bear Cabin facing east. In regards to amenities both cabins are completely separate from each other with their own driveways, private screen porch, fire-pit and gas grill. The likelihood of seeing the other guests is slim(unless you're both hiking the private 400 wooded acres with trails that start at your doorstep). Moose Cabin now offers a BRAND NEW 4 person jacuzzi! Please inquire about availability. There is an additional $35 jacuzzi fee for a 2-3 night stay and an $50 additional fee for 4-7 night stay. This fee is not secured through Airbnb and is due on arrival. We think that it's a wonderful addition to the cabin and are excited to have finally installed it. **NEW** Because of a high demand of guests looking for snowshoe rentals we have purchased some high-end SNOWSHOES that are now available for rental. Please inquire about availability($10/weekend per set. $20/wk per set). A liability/replacement waiver will need to be signed on arrival to cover lost or damaged snowshoes. Some guests have mentioned the quality of the water and have expressed concern(including 2 older guests who left a gas burner on for 2 DAYS STRAIGHT without a flame and blamed the odor on the tap water. I can't believe they made it out alive, yet never mentioned it until I informed them that housekeeping nearly "dropped dead" when she walked in to clean 2 hours after they left. Please know your carcinogens, people :/ ) Well water isn't like city water and does have a different taste, but the water is VERY safe to drink(as most people in the area use it) and is excellent for your skin and hair. If you prefer not to use the tap water for drinking, we do supply an unlimited supply of fresh drinking water(which is delicious) Pets are not allowed in any of our cabins. NO EXCEPTIONS. Character, warmth, and charm are the cornerstones behind the very idea of Camp Garoga. We wanted to create an inviting, cozy, and AFFORDABLE space for guests who wish to explore ALL of what the Adirondack's can provide. Whether you're looking to enjoy a long romantic weekend or a week long vacation for the your adventurous family, Camp Garoga offer so much more than a hotel ever could and it won't disappoint. Upon pulling in the driveway you will notice the care and attention to detail starting with the traditional rustic adirondack style twig work rails on the screened in porch. Reminiscent of the historic "great camps" from the onset of Adirondack lodging. The comfortable screened in porch offers privacy as well as a sitting area for reading and relaxing out doors and a picnic table for any meal of the day or playing one of the many board games provided. Most cabins in the area overlook the importance of the adirondack screen porch, offering you solace from the springtime bugs and nighttime insects that would otherwise be attracted to your evening reading light. We have added 2 porch ceiling fans for your added comfort. Once you enter through the double French doors, nothing will disappoint! From the light balsam fragrance and immaculate accommodations, to the handmade soap and the natural pine woodwork we have created a cabin masterpiece. And it HAS to be clean! Our cleaning staff is spot on with keeping the cabins looking brand new each and everytime. Our guests continuously feel that they're the first ever guests and feel instantly at home. The bedrooms and living room space are ULTRA inviting with their unique cabin decor, clean linens, and quaint reading spaces. With the fireplace being the heart of the cabin. Garoga borders over 400 wooded acres for your immediate outdoor needs right from your doorstep. Particularly enjoyable would be a morning walk along the trails with a cup of coffee or tea. Let the kids loose to enjoy the woodland or large grassy backyard with fire pit(some wood provided). The occasional bench along the trails offers a comfortable and quiet resting place for reading a good book or just taking in the private forest surroundings. Autumn and winter walks are particularly enjoyable! And when you've worked up a good chill, the cabin awaits your arrival for a warm fireside nap or conversation. Sit on the hearth with its bearskin rug for instant warmth. No detail is overlooked! Not only was Garoga built by the owners, but the rustic details inside are original as well. Specifically built for the cabins in a small wood shop on site(in the historic Adirondack great camp tradition), nearly every Adirondack inspired table, sign, and mirror was hand crafted by your host. A genuine love of the Adirondack style is pleasantly obvious throughout both the Bear and Moose cabins. Each cabin boasts 20 foot cathedral ceilings with natural pine woodwork, a loft, skylights, and antler chandeliers. Beautifully finished pine plank flooring hand engraved with bear paw prints or oak leaves throughout(depending on which cabin you're in) add unexpected charm. Comfortable bedding and cozy new furniture offers you a relaxing and enjoyable stay. If you enjoy coffee or tea, Garoga has that covered! We supply as much as you need. If special arrangements need to be made in regards to birthdays, anniversaries, or even marriage proposals(we've had our share), your host is ALWAYS there to help make it happen flawlessly. Don't be afraid to ask. Our reviews on other sites speak for themselves as guests return year after year, season after season to the special accommodations of Camp Garoga. Come be a part of our growing family of regulars at this one of a kind cabin experience. Where as I require guests meet with me upon your arrival, my preference is to leave you alone to enjoy the coziness of the cabin. Texting is the best way to accomplish that. Most guests text me periodically throughout the day for special attention, or many times just to say hello (go figure). I want to be reachable at all times of your stay but I don't want to be 'all up in your grill'. Unless it's your gas grill and the propane needs to be replenished. Because in that case, you want me up in your grill. The cabin is located in a rural area without much foot traffic. It is a very safe place to enjoy the outdoors. Although there are bears in the area, the odds of you running into one is very rare. In 13 years I've seen 3 and only one was by the cabin. Rt 29, 29A, 10, and 30 are the best roads to get you to where you want to go. Both 29's run east and west, while 10 and 30 run north to south. Some firewood is provided for your outdoor fire pit, but if you plan on excessive use(which is fine), there are local roadside places to purchase extra campfire wood. We charge a $100 premium for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. We require a 3 night minimum for any holiday weekend.
The cabin borders 400+ acres for your leisure enjoyment with marked trails and benches along the way. There isn't anything remotely touristy about this location which allows you to be free of interruption. Camp Garoga is a high quality cabin experience at hotel prices and is a great location for complete relaxation or a "home base" for day trips. There are plenty of hiking trails within a short driving distance.

1790 three-story brick home in historic Kingsboro Patent. Beautiful private yard with gardens. Parking. An historic 1765 cottage with fireplace is open for a tour. Located on a leafy residential street in the historic north Kingsboro area of Gloversville, NY, my 1830's house is minutes away from several lakes with year-round activities, including the Great Sacadanga and Caroga Lake, and less than an hour to Saratoga and Albany - a great place to stay during the Saratoga Racing season! Minutes from the scenic "forever wild" Adirondack Park, with gorgeous fall foliage, great hiking, hunting, fishing, winter sports including downhill & cross-country skiing.
Furnished with cottage antiques, original art, and an extensive library (I'm a poet and book artist), this cozy house is bright and airy. The first floor layout has a circular flow pattern with eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room and powder room. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a queen and a twin daybed with trundle in an attached alcove, and a full bath. The kitchen has a sitting area and a breakfast counter with Thonet bentwood barstools. There's a stainless side by side refrigerator with filtered ice, reverse-osmosis filtered water at the sink, a stainless dishwasher and a gas stove. Small appliances included a microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, and hand mixer. The spacious dining room, decorated with a collection of floral paintings and two large gilded mirrors, seats 6 at an antique mahogany table. The living room has a Jotul gas fireplace, a down-filled sofa and chair and other comfortable seating. There's a glass-front bookcase and Roku tv that streams local network channels, the Roku Channel, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. There is wifi, a portable turntable with a selection of Lp's , and a bluetooth speaker for your devices. Upstairs, one bedroom has a queen bed with a white antique iron bed, a reading nook with pillows and a reading light, 2 dressers and shelves of poetry books. The other bedroom has a queen bed, a vintage library table desk with a printer, and an antique glass front bookcase with more poetry. Two curtained doorways and an interior window open on to an alcove with a twin daybed with a twin trundle below. With the trundle open, the daybed takes up the width of the alcove. The trundle is suitable for children, but is likely not a comfortable space for adults to share. All the beds in this room have memory foam mattresses. The carpeted alcove serves as a small exercise space equipment with yoga mats and dumbells. Mature plantings and magnificent maples enhance the experience of outdoor living on the large furnished porch and wrap-around deck with gas grill. There's a driveway for parking one car; parking on the street is easy, although overnight street parking is prohibited from November through March after 10 pm. If you need room for 2 cars in the driveway during the winter, please advise me in advance so I can arrange to have my car moved. Although this is a one-car driveway, a second car can be parked behind the first. The house is heated with forced air heat and a gas fireplace. Seasonally, there are air conditioners in the bedrooms, and dining room, as well as a ceiling fan in the kitchen and portable fans. Children are welcome although please note that there are glass-fronted bookcases and low windows in the bedrooms that could be a hazard for toddlers. I've rented my other homes, in Caroga Lake and the San Francisco Bay area, for a dozen years as vacation rentals to guests who've been consistently delighted with their unique charms and thoughtful touches. My California home has been featured in several interior design publications.
In the midst of gorgeous and historic countryside on the accessible southern edge of the Adirondack Park, Gloversville is a small residential city, whose early twentieth century downtown, built in the heyday of Gloversville's renown as the glove capital of the world, includes the excellent Mohawk Harvest food co-op featuring local farm products, a coffee house and Micropolis art gallery. The downtown area has antique, thrift and consignment shops , renowned fly-fishing and stained glass centers, the vintage Glove Theater performance space, a newly restored Carnegie library, a bakery, a music store, and a yoga studio. Nearby HWY 30A is a shopping corridor with local and chain stores and restaurants. We're minutes from the Great Sacandaga Lake and HWY 30, the famed "Adirondack Trail," which is the central corridor through the Adirondacks. The house is a few minutes walk to a 9 hole-golf course with a bar & restaurant, and a supermarket. Downtown Gloversville is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk. It's a 3-5 minute drive to shopping, hospital (just down the street), restaurants, antiquing. Local artistic, cultural and historical destinations include the Fulton County Museum just around the corner, the Paul Nigra Center for the Arts, and the Karpeles Museum. Sister-city Johnstown, 10 minutes south, has the home of Sir William Johnston, the British colonial superintendent of Indian Affairs, and is the birthplace of 19th century women's rights leader and abolitionist Elizabeth Cady Stanton. 15 minutes west, Caroga Lake is home to the amazing Caroga Lake Music Festival, featuring intimate chamber music concerts by world class young musicians in July and August. Gloversville is in close range to hundreds of lakes, trout streams, mountain trails, Amish farm country, the Mohawk River Valley; the pleasures of antiquing, museums, restaurants and attractions like the Baseball Hall of Fame, Adirondack Museum, Great Escape/Splashwater Kingdom theme park, and Howe Caverns; world-class music and dance seasons at Saratoga, Lake George, and Cooperstown; the thoroughbred racing season at Saratoga Race Track. Winter sports include downhill skiing at Royal Mountain, cross-country skiing at Lapland Lake Resort, ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice skating. The FSG Rail Trail (bikes and pedestrians) is a block away. The Erie Canalway Trail is 20 minutes south along the Mohawk River. Caroga Lake is developing a mountain bike trail system, and hundreds of miles of hiking trails including favorites such as the climb to the Kane Mountain fire tower with aerial views of 5 lakes, Willie's Marsh with Boy-Scout built bridges over wetlands that are beaver and turtle habitat, and the Benson trailhead for the Northville-Lake Placid portion of the Appalachian Trail. It's 20 minutes to NY State Thruway Exits 27-29, 45-50 min. Saratoga and Albany, an hour or so more to Cooperstown and Lake George, 4 hours or less to New York City, Boston, Montreal and Buffalo.

Dale hizo el check in / out una brisa! ¡Gracias!

Finally ready to turn in for a good night's sleep? You'll find 3 bedrooms in the cottage. The 2 on the ground floor offer comfortable queen-sized beds and a shared full bathroom, while the upstairs provides a king-sized bedroom with a half-bath of its own. Additionally, there's a loft that's equipped with a single-sized roll away and queen-sized sleeper sofa. Turn in for the night and slip off into a blissful sleep as you dream of the adventures your next vacation day holds.
If you can pull yourself away from the lake, you'll find that you aren't far from many popular locations in New York. Albany, Saratoga, Cooperstown (home of the Baseball Hall of Fame) or Utica are all within an hour of West Caroga Lake. Be sure to check out the Caroga Music Festival during your stay. Auskerada! Nestled on a wooded 3 acre lot at the end of a long stone driveway you'll find a destination that is the epitome of comfort and charm. Natural in every way and decorated in the finest Adirondack style you'll come back year after year.
****There is more to life than being in an alcohol induced coma. Drink responsibly. Quiet seclusion. Located on 3 acres and nestled perfectly and quietly among the native woodland of the southern Adirondack mountains(including balsam, hemlock, maple, and oak trees), Auskerada offers a unique and traditional lodging experience, with seclusion unlike most cabins in the area. Waking up to the sounds of nature you'll will find it effortless to unwind from a world of electronics(but we have those too). As you approach Auskerada you'll notice the rustic charm and care that has gone into such an extraordinary cabin. With all details considered and created by your host, you'll understand why guests come back time and again. From the stone chimney and natural landscaping to its rustic traditional Adirondack railings, you tend to forget the coldness of city life as the log cabin historically exudes warmth and invite even in the dead of winter. You will notice the large inviting promenade style porch along the front of the lodge which harkens back to a day when the porch was the center of neighborly society and conversation. The promenade offers comfortable rocking chairs, ceiling fans, and plenty of lighting for charm and mood including a stained glass post light that bids goodnight to the setting sun, welcoming the moon and the night time serenade of Adirondack wildlife...and asks "How was your day?" when returning from a day of shopping, skiing, hiking, fishing, canoeing, or just a day in the sun. On the south-facing side is a well thought out screened porch(a must have in the Adirondacks) offering a quaint sitting area for reading or a private romantic breakfast. It's the best way to enjoy the outdoors comfortably from nighttime insects. Also what's most inviting in this space is our new hot tub! Lending itself to the desirability of the cabin, this feature offers a spa-like escape for the fatigued hiker(or (URL HIDDEN) and is a perfect remedy for a chill in the autumn or winter air. As you soak in the CLEAN fresh water of the jacuzzi, you will enjoy the sites and peacefulness of the surrounding woodland. Fresh white towels hang next to the hot tub on rustic fish hangers. Ok, enough about that.......let's go inside. Upon entering through the classic front door via keyless entry(your code will be given to you prior to your arrival) you will feel instantly at home. Auskerada's rustic decor is front and center offering a comfort that other cabins cannot provide. The lodge is completely renovated and immaculate right down to the scents, and Adirondack detail that are specifically appointed making you a spoiled guest right from the start. Natural surfaces calm the spirit as an Adirondack getaway is intended to do. Every space is full of detail, comfort, and surprise for the curious traveler. Handmade items, antique finds, and Adirondack art fill these spaces. Two screened-in spaces are available for outdoor comfort. All guests enjoy Pine's Peak all year round(but crisp autumn days are certainly the best. I enjoy listening to the call of the loons on the lake from this space. The hot tub is available for use, but requires an additional charge of $35/wkend or $50/week. We like to try to keep our prices a bit lower for guests who do not wish to use the hot tub.
Auskerada is the last cabin on a dead end road enhancing the privacy.

He estado allí 3 veces.

  • Chris's Place era tan increíble, acogedor y acogedor.

    Thomas2019-07-22T00:00:00Z

Ladybug is quaint, lovely little 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage that sleeps up 6-7 people comfortably, and is just 100 steps to a shared private, deeded beach on Caroga Lake. The house is not located on the water, but on a quiet street in the rustic, sleepy, charming village of Caroga in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. The cottage is old and campy, but very clean and lovingly decorated with vintage antiques and furniture and peppered with modern amenities.
The house has a large stone fireplace and several antique wood and cook's stoves, all for decorative purposes only (do not use). Although we don't have cable TV, we do have a DVD/VHS player connected to a TV, with some amazing old DVDs and VHS tapes for your viewing pleasure. We also have some comfy chairs and a rocker to curl up in on a rainy day to watch a movie, read a good book or play one of the many board games available. The kitchen is well stocked with a refrigerator, electric stove, and plenty of pots pans, dishes, utensils and cooking utensils, as well as a blender, a toaster, a toaster oven, a coffee maker and grinder, and a tea kettle. There is no microwave, but we don't miss it with the toaster oven and stove. There is also no dishwasher, but there is a drying rack next to the country style kitchen sink, and another sink located on the back porch. The shower/tub, toilet and bathroom are just off the back porch off the kitchen. Both bedrooms are upstairs, although there is a twin sleeper sofa bed on the ground floor in the living room. The Twin Room has two single/twin beds, a dresser, desk, bedside tables. The Full Room has a full bed sleeping one to two people. It also has a trundle bed with two twin beds, sleeping one person on top and one below comfortably, a dresser, desk and bedside table. This is a three season cabin, so there is NO central heating and no air conditioning. On chilly nights, you may use the space heaters, simply put on extra clothes and use some of our extra blankets available. Please remember, there is no heat in the cabin and Adirondack nights can get quite cool, even at the end of summer. In the summer, when its hot, we find opening the upstairs windows generally cools the place right down as you get the mountain breeze and breeze off the lake. On those few very hot days, you can use the fans in each bedroom and in the downstairs closet, as well as the window fans in each bedroom window. Lady Bug has large, screened in front and back porches with some vintage wicker chairs and comfortable throw pillows to enjoy the view from the front or back of the house. On the back porch, guests can take in the sunset over the lake through the trees and our neighbor's houses. Outside, there is a picnic table, a BBQ, seats facing the lake to enjoy the view and sunsets and a fire pit with several Adirondack chairs, as well as the working well supplying water for Lady Bug, housed in its own charming well house. Although it goes without saying, guests may not under any circumstances climb or sit on the well, as it is an active well.
We do hope you will come stay with us. This really is a lovely place to relax and spend time with family and friends. It is not a party house, and we are not located in a resort town or area. But you will have peaceful time in a beautiful, tranquil place that will do wonders for your soul. We are so close to so many amazing outdoor adventures and activities, between the lake, fishing and swimming, to boating, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and canoeing (you can rent all of these at the Caroga Lake Marina about 1 mile down the street), to hiking in abundance, including Cane Mountain's Fire Tower and many more great trails, to the concerts on the lake, amazing antiquing in Caroga and surrounding areas and in Gloversville and Johnstown. We are also close to golf and horseback riding. And all this just in the summer. Cooperstown, Albany, Saratoga, Howes Caverns, Great Escape Water Park and Lake George are all about an hour away, give or take 15 minutes or so, depending on which one you want to visit. There is the Amsterdam Mohawks baseball team, which has exciting baseball games at a high level playing weekly at Shuttlesworth field, just outside of Amsterdam. And the Wild Animal Farm is on the way! We also have a few great local restaurants and bars that are not to be missed, like Dick and Pegs, The Boat House, and Vromans, as well as some very quaint camping stores, and grocery stores nearby in Gloversville and Johnstown. We love Caroga Lake and we love Lady Bug - we hope you will too!

Rustic 3+ Bedroom, 1.5 Bath, children friendly, sleeps 8. Turn key, easy access, bed linens provided. Come Enjoy all that the Adirondacks has to offer-Hike, Swim, Boat, Ski, Snowshoe, Snowmobile right from the property.
Tucked in among the large boulders and mature trees, this secluded property is only a 5 minute walk to its deeded access on West Caroga Lake and abuts over 60,000 undeveloped acres of state land known as the Ferris Lake Wild Forest Preserve. The preserve offers endless miles of trails that wind through some of the most beautiful terrain imaginable, all accessible right outside the front door. Completed in early 2013, StoneHaven was custom designed and built by it's owners to incorporate the luxury of modern and efficient technology into a rustic package. This concept allows visitors to experience the more premium comforts of a home while the décor and setting provide a true Adirondack “camp” experience. An open floor plan allows an opportunity to engage in conversation, entertain and keep an eye on children all from any vantage point on the first floor. Complement your meals in the dining area with a gaze out the large picture window which affords an uninterrupted view of nature at its finest. Be sure to appreciate the old world craftsmanship of the custom made kitchen cabinetry built in primitive design and utilizing traditional construction methods. Also take note that the walls and ceiling on the first floor as well as most of the trim throughout the house are comprised of knotty pine that was reclaimed and milled locally from the trees that were harvested from the property prior to construction. Don’t be too surprised to find your morning coffee or evening drink interrupted by a visit from one or more members of our local wildlife community which may include: fox, deer, turkey, chipmunk, possum, rabbit, fisher, mink, raccoon, black bear, bobcat, and many others. From our family to yours...We sincerely hope that you enjoy your visit here at StoneHaven! Please- relax, unwind and be happy!

  • ¡¡¡GUAU!!!

3NT MIN HOLIDAYS PLEASE DON'T INSTANT BOOK FOR A HOLIDAY VACATION LESS THAN THREE DAYS! PLEASE ASK FOR LAST MINUTE SPECIALS! WE ARE HAPPY TO ACCOMMODATE YOU IF POSSIBLE. ROBIN'S NEST IS AWESOME! Please note that linens are not included with the rental. They may be rented for an additional fee. Please bring sheets, pillowcases and bath towels. Please also note that Robin's Nest is not on the water. It is a short walk (approximately 100 steps) to West Caroga Lake, where we share a small private beach with our neighbors. Robin's Nest is located in the sleepy, rustic town of Caroga Lake on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. Robin’s Nest Named is named after its first inhabitants – a momma robin and her babies nesting in the roof’s rafters during the initial phase of the remodel . It is a gorgeous year-round cabin in the Southern Adirondacks. This architectural gem was recently lovingly restored with an eye toward preserving its old country charm, while furnishing it with all the benefits and comforts of modern day amenities. Robin’s Nest features a great room, pool table, bar, wine fridge, a spacious patio, large yard. A couple of minute's walk away will bring you to a shared sandy beach with a dock on West Caroga Lake. It sleeps 8 people comfortably in three charming bedrooms. Completely renovated from the ground up, Robin’s Nest is equipped with all new electrical and plumping systems, high speed, wireless internet, a 50 inch flat screen TV downstairs and a flat screen TV in the Master, and state of the art, stainless steel appliances in its gourmet kitchen. Its detailed woodwork includes handcrafted, built-in shelving and drawers, hand-laid pine walls and gun smoke hickory and acacia hardwood flooring throughout, along with a cast iron and wood banister railing for the wooden staircase. Oversized sliding glass doors provide easy access to the side and back yards and patios. When combined with contemporary window walls in the Great Room and multi-paned windows and high ceilings throughout the house, plenty of light floods and warms the house. The Great Room alone has a multitude of windows. Gorgeous copper fans hang from the “cathedral” ceilings in the Great Room and high-powered ceiling fans hang in each bedroom, while cast iron gas stoves in the Great Room and breakfast nook provide an abundance of warmth and comfort during the cold, winter months. The private, largely fenced in back yard offers two, wooden picnic tables, a gas grill and outdoor fire pit. Adirondack chairs offer places to relax, share stories and gaze at the night sky and stars. Native trees and plants, including crab apple trees, a black raspberry and a blueberry patch make up the landscape and a private driveway provides for parking for 3 to 4 vehicles. The Great Room provides something for everyone. Those who want to relax, can curl up with a book in the soft leather recliner or on the large, plush sectional sofa to stare out one of the many windows, watch their favorite movie or sporting event on the 50 inch, flat screen, SMART LG television (with Cable TV, a DVD and VCR player, and high speed wireless internet) or, they might simply watch the fire dance in the cast-iron, gas stove fireplace. Others might shoot a round of pool on the wooden, claw footed, felt-covered pool table, or sip on a drink from the wine fridge, while sitting at the beautiful built –in wood bar (featuring a classic bowling alley lane counter-top) and chatting over the bar with whoever might happen to be standing in the kitchen on the other side. Robin’s Nest’s kitchen features a downdraft gas stove, refrigerator with ice maker, a dishwasher, country sink basin, and customized, hand-crafted, shabby chic kitchen cabinets and shelving, and a country cupboard that serves as a pantry. The kitchen is well stocked with every item you might find in your own home, and then some. It is fully equipped with a coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender, teapot and recycling bins. There is no microwave, there is a toaster oven. The dining area’s solid wood table seats 6 to 8 comfortably, and opens up to the backyard and stone patio through the large, sliding glass doors. The breakfast nook seats another 8, if you add the expansion leaf to the table, and looks out on the front-yard through the charming bay window. Attractive glassware and china are found in the antique wooden hutch housed in the dining area and on the kitchen shelving. The three bedrooms are airy and bright, each offering its own unique charm. All of the rooms have ceiling fans and blinds for maximum control of the light and new, firm mattresses with waterproof, hypoallergenic mattress covers on each. Each bedroom and the upstairs hallway features built-in shelving and drawers. Every bedroom is furnished with its own antique beds, bedside tables, reading lamps, trunks, dressers, armoires and/or accessories. Each bed is covered with charming, country, shabby chic quilts, organic cotton blankets and pillows of all shapes and sizes. You provide sheets, pillowcases and towels. Linens ARE NOT included. They can be rented for an additional fee. The large master bedroom, on the second floor is north facing. Centered under high, barn-like ceilings, is a king sized bed, oak end tables, a rocking chair, an antique desk, vintage reading lamps and a large antique lounge at the foot of the bed. The twin room is also on the second floor, and faces south. It holds a large wooden bunk bed with two twin mattresses and bunkies– one set on the top bunk and one on the bottom. It also has a cast iron day bed, with a twin mattress and bunkie, and a trundle bed underneath, with a twin mattress that can pull out. This room can sleep four comfortably. The twin room has a vintage desk and chair, reading lamp and an antique, blue and white checkered metal trunk, and built in cubbies holding books and games for all ages. The queen bedroom, located on the first floor, faces West, and has a queen sized bed, antique armoire and bedside table and lamps, and a beautiful, old red, barn door. The queen-sized sofa-bed couch in the Great Room can also sleep 2 extra people in a pinch. The large, full-sized downstairs bathroom features a rain shower and a tub, toilet, a country sink, faucet and vanity, antique dresser, a chrome mirror and amenities, lantern lights, wooden tile floor and a vintage barn door. The upstairs bathroom features much of the same, but is a smaller, three-quarter bathroom with a nice-sized shower, vertical subway tile walls and a solid, glass door, a sink and toilet. About a block away or a two minute walk, lies West Caroga Lake (just out the front door, quick right and quick left), and Robin’s Nest deeded rights to a shared beach for sitting, swimming and building sand castles. Kayaks and canoes are available for rent upon request. Paddleboards and other watercraft can be rented at the Marina (see below). The waterfront is shallow and hard-bottomed, and swimming is allowed. Just down Route 10East, at the junction of East and West Caroga Lake is a small marina where you could launch your own small boat or jet ski for a nominal fee, or rent a pontoon boat for a day of fishing or relaxing in the sun. Outdoor activities span the seasons with swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, ice fishing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, downhill and cross-country skiing all available locally. Essential services, dining and taverns are within walking distance. Robin’s Nest is a short walk to several other Adirondack Lake House rentals in the event guests need to accommodate larger parties. Robin’s Nest can accommodate a maximum of 8-10 guests at all times. There is parking for a maximum of 3 to 4 cars. Sorry NO PETS and NO SMOKING. Robin’s Nest has a NO SHOES policy; please bring slippers or flip-flops for indoor use.
The Robin's Nest is located on a quiet street with friendly neighbors in the sleepy, rustic village of Caroga Lake, NY, approximately 100 steps from a private beach on West Caroga Lake. Although not on the lake, Robin's Nest really is only a hop skip and a jump from it and all the fun it has to offer. And if you look out the Master Bedroom or through the front windows, you can still catch some slices of beautiful sunsets over the lake.
