  • Kristy was so awesome and helpful! We needed to check in to the house early, and she'd had a HUGE group staying over the night before, but she still managed to accommodate us. The house was very clean, and we loved the backyard! We would definitely pop in to Peacock Place again!

  • Some friends and I, along with my sister, rented Peacock Place for a "girls getaway" weekend (most of us live in Chicago) and really enjoyed ourselves. Kristy's Harbor Country guide was helpful in finding a place for lunch before we checked in. We arrived a little early and Kristy allowed us to bring our stuff inside and choose rooms/beds while she finished getting the place ready. The house is nice and comfortable with plenty of sleeping room. There were plenty of towels and washcloths and the beds were comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all of our meals, including plenty of spices - a very nice touch, and we also utilized the back porch grill. We had a little trouble with it at first, but once we got it going using the long lighters, we were able to cook our steaks perfectly. (Apparently Kristy will be investing in a new grill for next season, so it will be even better.) The dining room table was perfect for the 6 of us to eat dinner and play a board game Sat. night while enjoying the wine we bought that day. On Sunday we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in for several hours. There was plenty of wood as well as fire tongs, which were very helpful in moving the logs when necessary. Later that night we made use of the TV, which had an excellent selection of channels. We snuggled up on the comfy couches with the blankets Kristy keeps in the closet near the stairs. Having access to the washer and dryer was also helpful. The house was closer to the road than we expected, so you can hear some vehicles from the master bedroom. I still slept well, but lighter sleepers might want to use one of the other rooms. The house's location was excellent. It allowed us to drive the short distance to Union Pier wineries and Warren Dunes State Park. Grocers were further away but still pretty convenient and carried what we needed. There was a great farmers/arts & crafts market further down on Red Arrow Highway - this was the last weekend, but they start again in May and are there every Sat and Sun. The one problem we had was with the dishwasher leaking, which we fortunately ran during the day and caught before it got bad - I'm sure Kristy will have that fixed. I definitely recommend staying at Peacock Place if you want to explore the Sawyer/New Buffalo area. You'll have plenty of room and good access to fun activities, as well as a nice place to relax. Even before leaving, my friends and I talked about wanting to go back there again next summer or even sooner, assuming Kristy will have us!

  • Lovely house and very responsive host! Great for a large group.

    Nicole2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We spent the weekend at peacock place and loved it. The location near the lake and the surrounding areas filled our group's schedule with plenty to do. At the end of the night all the beds were comfy and the spa area was great. I enjoyed our stay here.

  • We had a lovely vacation at Peacock Place. The house suited our purpose, which was extended family gathering for the holidays. The house was very clean and included all useful kitchen items for making a large meal. Check-in/check-out was easy and seamless. The owner has a full sized permanent crib and a high chair in the house which was fantastic for us. The backyard is fully fenced in. Notable information that might be useful for potential renters: - The house is located directly on the busiest road in town which leads to a certain amount of noise and fast traffic. - The house is near the railroad tracks - the trains can be quite loud. - The owner operates an art studio in a small cottage next to the house - there was occasional traffic pulling up to the house for this. - There are two conventional (and well supplied) bedrooms. The third, the "grandparents bedroom" is a room off of the living room which has a privacy curtain rather than a door. The fourth bedroom appears to be a converted porch with a bed, and has a spa tub, shower/toilet room, dining table and fireplace in it with heated floors. The owner was friendly and responsive during the booking process, though she appears to communicate via text so a few things were lost in translation along the way. Overall, the pros definitely outweighed the cons for our group of adults, one baby and a dog during the winter.

  • The house itself was lovely and cozy. Located in a quiet neighbourhood and very close to the beach/lake. We enjoyed it, 1-day was definitely too short! Kristy always replied to requests/questions quickly. On our day of arrival, she kept us informed of minor issues and it was no problem. Check-in and check-out was smooth. We actually hit a deer head on and the car had to be towed, just right after we left the house. With everything up in the air, I inquired about a last min extra night of stay. She replied quickly and kept in touch throughout to make things easier for us. It was helpful of her. We didn't end up staying the extra night, but I wish we did! Anyways, Thanks Kristy!

    Jess2014-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • My whole experience at Peacock Place was wonderful!! I planned a romantic stay and that's exactly what got. The house was clean, inviting and so warm. Kristy was absolutely great to communicate and plan with :)

    Nichole2014-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous time at the Peacock Place! There were 14 of us celebrating a friends upcoming wedding (their theme is peacocks!) and there was plenty of room in the living room for us all to gather and play games. The Place had everything we needed... even a crock pot. I would definitely recommend the Peacock Place. Kristy was very responsive and the information she provided on the area was helpful.

Large yard with a fire ring, backed by a hardwood forest (beautiful in spring!), yet close to restaurants, breweries, wineries, beaches, kayaking, biking, hiking, boutiques, art galleries, culture. Ideal for couples and solo travelers. Attached to our woodworkers' showroom, so during daytime hours you may hear voices or music (always low-key). Best for low-key guests. Private entrance. Backyard fire ring. Room for boat trailer. Coffee provided. By highway, but not much traffic.
Morton's Retreat has plenty of room to relax in a sitting/dining room with a smart TV and Wifi. Separate bedroom has a desk. With your own entrance and parking, you'll hardly notice that the apartment is connected to our woodworkers' showroom/gallery. From 10 am to 5 pm, you may hear voices or music through the wall, but once we close for the evening you'll have the entire property to yourself. We are situated on Red Arrow Highway, so there is some traffic.
Directly across the street from Morton's Retreat is a township park with a picnic pavilion, fishing pond, trail, ice skating rink. Two miles down the road is Michigan's most popular state park, with miles of white sand beaches and hiking trails in forested dunes. Within a mile are 3 restaurants, 2 bakeries, and a couple of antique stores. Hop in your car and drive into Sawyer (1 1/2 miles) for quirky shopping, a popular brew pub, beer garden, and diner.
  • My friend and I had a wonderful time at Morton's Retreat. Lorraine is a great host, who provided us with anything that was needed for a comfortable stay. The communication with her and the co-hosts was very easy and timely.

    Arleta2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The weekend in Morton's retreat. The house was cute and it had everything we needed. The second night, we spent a wonderful couple of hours by the fire pit - lovely.

    Claudia2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Morton's Retreat for a getaway weekend and we had a lovely stay. Lorraine was a kind and professional host. We brought food and cooked all our meals there--the kitchen is well equipped. When we asked if she had a grill we could use, she said yes. We found out later she bought one just because we asked! We loved using the grill and the fire ring and the loungy adirondack chairs outside. The apartment has the rare combination of being both clean and comfortable and full of charm and character. The handmade furniture makes it feel special and Morton makes for a great roommate. We can't wait to come back!

    Rachel2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very close to wineries, breweries, and places to eat. Lorraine was great and very responsive.

    Frank2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. My boyfriend and I were there to relax, pick peaches and visit a few wineries. Lorraine's place was within 15 minutes of everything we wanted to do. Morton's retreat is filled with Comfortable and unique furnishings ( make sure you try out the rocking chair!) . Privacy is key, check-in /out is a breeze. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area. Thanks for sharing your little place Lorraine !

    Sue2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely comfortable place. Great location for hiking, wineries and exploring! We had a wonderful time and wish we would have stayed longer!

    Robin2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Morton's retreat was wonderful! Includes an excellent guide to breweries and hiking in the area. Quiet, great yard, beautifully designed. The kitchen is sufficient, but warning- no oven! (We found this out the hard way.)

  • Hey everyone, My daughter and I had a fantastic Father's day weekend at Mortins Retreat, it's a charming and rustic little place to stay. Perfect as a base camp for all the summer time fun around there and Lorraine is a wonderful host. I would definitely stay here again! Happy travels! Andre

  • From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like old friends. Lawrence had quite the spread put out for us and made sure we felt very welcomed. Sitting outside on his beautiful porch the first night, where he made sure to have a perfect atmosphere set for our relaxation, and waking in the morning to an amazing breakfast spread. Lawrence has a beautiful and eclectic home with so many interesting items, however they are no comparison to the conversationalist that he is. He is warm, honest, funny, and one of the most interesting men I have ever met, and we had such a wonderful time conversing and just hanging out with him. We were sad to leave, and will definitely be back to see him again!

  • Airbnb does not seem to have a system in place when emergencies happen. I did not question my host while briefly on the phone with him because it was none of my business (he said he was the n hospital)but his emergency ,from how he spoke , took place before the reservation was taken and confirmed by computer system

    Mary2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Larry was amazing! He greeted us with drinks and appetizers. He had coffee and breakfast options for us the next morning. The only issue we had was the cleanliness. There is a smoke smell and could be a little cleaner. But Larry was so warm and welcoming. We enjoyed his company.

    Caprice2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed getting to know Lawrence, it was our delight to sit and chat over morning coffee, he went to the extra effort and really surprised us with a beautiful continental breakfast presentation. His home is filled with history and family photos, if we had more time to stay I'm certain he could tell some great stories. We look forward to seeing him next time we pass through the area, that's the great thing about Airbnb, when you take the time you can meet interesting people.

    Kayla2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Larry was a fantastic host and an amazing man. He went above and beyond to make sure that my whole family was comftorbal during our stay. He is an extremely interesting man and willing to share some of his amazing life experience if you are intrrsted in hearing them. He works hard to make you feel welcomed and delivers all the conveniences of home. His house is within walking distance of the Harbert public beach.

  • Lawrence was an amazing host! We lived like royalty while staying with him. If you want to get away from the grind of every day life, Larry's AirBNB needs to be your next stop while in Michigan wine country! If you have an opportunity, please ask him about his amazing career! Thanks again, Larry and Harry!

  • From our welcoming cocktail, through our relaxing stay, and to our final goodbye, Lawrence offered us and our aging dog, Noodle, every comfort and consideration of a truly great host. He takes pleasure in aesthetic and design, as evidenced by the quirky and well curated decor. He prepared a continental breakfast for us and always greeted our dog with a considerable number of head-pats. We used his hand drawn map to find our way to the best beaches and restaurants. Highly recommend you book with Lawrence!

    Tim2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Larry is a great, interesting, caring, dog loving, friendly elder man. He greeted us with appetizers and wine when we arrived and then shared dinner with us while sharing some interesting stories about his past. We woke up to a simple nice breakfast prepared by him which was great. He will make you feel like you've known him for years once you start talking with him :)

This open ranch home has been around in this super wooded neighborhood for years. The dirt roads and quiet neighbors add to the getaway experience. This cozy, creative home is filled with great light. Lots of outdoor space (one acre) to enjoy the comfy patio and fire pit or read a book on the hammock. Two choices for dining with large tables, in door and fab screened in porch. Grab a bike and explore the private beaches. Watch the sunset. Dine and drink at the local spots.
  • Great space! This was perfect for our needs and communication with Katrina was excellent. The indoor space is cool and cozy. The outdoor space is beautiful and larger than expected. We were able to take advantage of the grill and outdoor fire pit. Kitchen was well stocked for our needs, including coffee maker and coffee. There were other nice touches, such as a radio with auxiliary input, and a great DVD collection. Recommended.

    Darren2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved my stay here. The house is cozy, clean, comfortable and creatively decorated! Took advantage of both the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit in the private yard. Was happy to look out the window one afternoon to see a family of four deer visiting the yard. Used the gas grill in the back to make steaks for dinner one night. And when the weather was warm enough spent the day writing/reading in the enclosed patio/porch with a big dining table that I used as a work space while listening to old CDs on the stereo that is out there. I spent a week at Katrina's place as an intensive writing retreat for myself, and it worked out perfectly.

    Alice2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Katrina is an excellent host. Very prompt and detailed communication; she provided clear directions to her home, as well as suggestions on stores, restaurants and sight of interest in the area. The location could not be better; secluded and quiet are, walking distance to the lake and close drive to downtown Sawyer and Bridgman. The rain kept us from enjoying the lake and a fire in the outdoor fire pit and spending much time in the huge yard. However the inside was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and welcoming, a perfect spot for watching all the college football games. Katrina also has loads of DVDs, books, and games. The beds were very comfortable, we all talked about how great we slept. I highly recommend Katina's home and look forward to returning.

In all seasons, bright & cheery Peach Place offers the perfect setting for a fun time - a large greatroom fireplace, oudoor hot tub, gourmet kitchen and more! This custom-built 3-bedroom, 2 ½ bath home is just a short 7 minute walk to Lake Michigan!
You will love the beauty of this home, as well as the many amenities - a well-equipped kitchen, televisions in the bedrooms and great room, 6-person hot-tub on the deck, screened back porch, large wooded yard (we spray for misquitos!).
We are located just off Red Arrow Highway, the main drag along Lake Michigan, on a quiet road that leads to the lake. There are numerous restaurants a short drive (or a long walk ) away, many antique and gift shops to browse, and several wineries and breweries that are close by.
  • Great location- ten minute walk from beach. Great hot tub and yard- perfect for yard games and girls' reunion! Pat was a great host and very trusting to let 23 year olds rent her place, but we were so happy to have a college reunion at her wonderful place. We would love to book again!! Thanks, Pat!

  • This house in Harbert is absolutely lovely and well appointed. It is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We spent time there with my sister and her family. The layout was ideal. My sister, her husband and the 2 kids had the 2 upstairs bedrooms...and we had the downstairs master. The hot tub in the backyard was perfect after a long day playing in the sun.

    Milena2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect for my reunion with family! Everyone enjoyed themselves and the beautiful accommodations. Thanks for the memories!

  • Our group had a fabulous stay at Peach St.! Pat's home was beautiful, well kept, and full of fun for a great weekend away. Short walk to the beach and close to town. Yard, deck, screened in porch and hot tub were wonderful! We hope to be back soon!

    Kellen2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Pat and Pat's lovely home provided a warm welcome and a gracious stay. The home's living room and dining areas wrapped us in natural light and made them great places to congregate. The home was filled with many amenities-fireplace, hot tub, outside shower (kids love that), espresso machine and a well stocked kitchen. Written detailed information about the home and area was provided. An enjoyable time for all of us!

    Malaika2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely incredible time at the Peach Street place! We spent the week with our 18 month old daughter and 2 dogs and it was the perfect family spot. We walked to the beach, ate at the Swedish Bakery, enjoyed beer at Green Bush, and went to New Buffalo a couple times. But better than the location and local activities, were the amenities and the house! Pat and Patty have an incredible house and have thought of everything for your stay - dry wood for the firepit, recommendations for their favorite spots, beach towels, ping pong table, chairs for the beach and a wagon to take it down in, the amazing hot tub, and the list goes on. We would definitely come back and talked about doing so again next summer. Truly a special place! Thanks, Pat and Patty!! Jonathan

    Jonathan2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect and we didn't want to leave! Pat is a wonderful host with a wonderful home. Impeccable yet comfortable with a great location couldn't have asked for more. Can't wait to return.

  • I experienced an extended stay in the spacious Artful Retreat in January. The accommodations were satisfying and met my needs with comfortable furnishings and bed. The hosts were attentive, and the location is central to the SW Michigan Harbor Country region, while Luisa's Cafe just up the road is perfect for breakfast or lunch. Guests should be aware the unit sits along the Red Arrow Highway, making it less than tranquil at certain hours of the day.

    Craig2015-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Artful Retreat was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. It is in a great location for dining and proximity to wineries. The space was clean and was furnished with many pieces from a local artist. I had concerns there would be traffic noise from being on Red Arrow Highway but there was not. Thank you Jan for a cozy nights stay.

    Brittany2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jan was very welcoming and made our check-in and check-out very easy. The studio was very cute and comfortable. The location was perfect- we really enjoyed exploring the area wineries, restaurants, and local towns. Thanks so much! I hope to visit again!!

    Christine2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a quiet Thanksgiving hideaway and that is exactly what we got. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the artwork/furniture in the room is beautiful. We would definitely want to stay again when we return to the area.

    Max2015-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great at Harbor Country Artful Retreat! The hosts were very kind and welcoming and showed us around when we arrived. The room was spacious, comfortable and very close to the Michigan wineries and downtown locations.

    Stephen 2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Artful Retreat. True to its name, it is tastefully decorated and comfortable. It's also centrally located in Harbor Country and a great "home base" from which to explore the restuarants, wineries, and beaches in the area.

    Dale2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was very large and nicely decorated. The studio is in a great location, close to the wine trail and breweries and we enjoyed having breakfast just down the road at Louisa's Cafe. I knew from reading other reviews, but the only con is that there is no outlet in the bathroom/sink area. Ladies - bring an extension cord for your blow dryer and flat iron. Would definitely come back!

    Kimberly2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Pros-Clever and artfully decorated way to convert a small business strip mall into a suite! Jan couldn't be nicer and was very accommodating. Sweet of her to leave us a bottle of wine for our anniversary. Cons- The complex is on main road and the shower is for a pop up camper. Disappointed in it wasn't done as a permanent structure that would give more water pressure. Ladies, bring a LONG cord for your blow dryer and heat tools, there is NO outlet by the vanity mirror!!!...Thank goodness this hair stylist had long enough cords on hers!

Amazing new renovation just completed. Incredible property for larger groups. Three bedroom main house, plus three bedroom guest house, connected by a wonderful, oversized deck with multiple seating areas and spa.
You won’t find another vacation rental like this one in Harbor Country—or anywhere else for that matter. This luxury cabin, a stone's throw from the shore of Lake Michigan (less than 2 minute walk to Harbert Street beach access point), is a design-lover’s dream home, with every detail carefully selected to contribute to its polished-yet-rustic aesthetic. The owner, a professional interior designer, worked his magic here, and you’ll love the end result. Tucked away in a private, serene wooded setting, yet moments from the lakefront, this custom home boasts 3,000 square feet between the main (2000 SF) and guest (1000 SF) homes —including six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and one very large, open common area with soaring ceilings and incredible wall of windows, bountiful seating space, and a two-story wood burning stone fireplace. Chat with the cook at the counter-height bar as they prepare dinner in our gourmet kitchen (complete with a professional grade Italian range and concrete countertops), then gather around the spacious dining table to enjoy it together. After dinner, grab a bottle of wine and choose from several outdoor areas, including a second floor terrace, multiple porches—including a spacious screened-in porch adjoining the living room—or the sprawling back deck with gas grill, oversized hot tub and outdoor shower. Summer evenings are especially tranquil; the waves crashing on the beach are often background music! And, in the chillier months of autumn and spring, the hot tub and a fire pit keep you toasty. Sleeping options are plentiful: two king bedrooms in the main house--including a luxury master on top floor with spacious bath and antique tub, as well as an adjoining (albeit very small) nursery/child room w/ toddler bed! There is another bedroom with two full beds. In the guest house, there is a large king bedded room upstairs, one room with a queen bed on the main level, as well as a bunk-bed room with two full-sized beds that's perfect for kids (and adults who want to relive summer camp). All bedrooms (aside from bunk room) include flat-screen TVs. The double laundry is equipped with 2 full sized washers and dryers. The access to the beach from this property is unparalleled, Lake Michigan provides a romantic beach setting to watch the sunset. The charming town of Harbert (and nearby Sawyer and Lakeside/Union Pier/New Buffalo) has plenty of restaurant options for a special evening out. You’ll also find an assortment of antique and specialty shops within a few miles of the home. The photos speak for themselves. This vacation rental is a true gem. Make it the setting for your next Harbor Country retreat—please inquire for further details!
  • This place is amazing- looks like just like the pics if not better. Soooo close to a great beach (few minute walk) and the best stocked AirBnB I have ever stayed in. Tons of towels, wine glasses, plates and everything in the kitchen you need to make a gourmet meal. You will want to cook here because the kitchen is amazing and part of the big living space that is one of the coziest rooms ever. Comfy beds and great communication from owner. We will be back!

  • Jill was a great host! She was super nice and her husband made us coffee in the morning. Her place was really cool, it's a converted tool factory with tons of great art and a really eclectic vibe without feeling cluttered. The location was perfect for all that we wanted to do in the New Buffalo area, not far at all from the beach, wineries, and delicious eateries (definitely try Luisa's, it's right down the road from them). We loved that the room had an en suite half-bath. The space definitely felt very private. They also had three cats, which was definitely a pro for us, Coco was so sweet! Overall we would highly recommend, especially for folks travelling in the summer. We very much enjoyed our stay and would gladly book again!

  • Jill's place is a perfect Harbor Country location. It is no more than 15 minutes to all the local attractions, such as Warren Dunes. The bed is comfortable and the basic necessities are provided in the room. Jill was a gracious and welcoming host. She even brought us a bottle of wine from one of the local vineyards. Most of all, the art background of Jill's made us feel as if we were staying several nights at the art museum.

    Sean2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic space that feels like home. Great location to the beach. Eclectic vibe with a fantastic patio, rain head shower, and comfortable amenities. We'd gladly stay again. The kitties keep to themselves but if you're cat lovers like us they allowed us to give them attention. Mini fridge in the room was a nice touch and a fan was also provided. The dresser has been cleaned out so there was space for my things to be unpacked out of the suitcase. We came and went as we pleased and visited the wonderful farmers markets, beaches, breweries, wineries, downtown scene that MI has to offer!

    Raquel2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jill made us feel very welcome right from the start. She greeted us with a big smile and was very helpful in suggesting things to do and good places to eat. Their home is in a great location short drive to restaurants and nearby towns. This was our first experience with Air b&b and they made it a great one.

    Barbara2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb was just a great experience. After six very busy days in Chicago Jill's & John's place was very relaxing. All the comments are true. Their home is just awesome. Very nice art basically everywhere in the house. Truly an eclectic and inspiring place. The room is better than described. Lots of character. Especially with the nice welcome wine and snacks in a basket. And John & Jill are excellent hosts. They made us feel so at home. And we didn't feel as guests but as part of their family. They let us right their bikes, picked and dropped us off from the train station, they shared their nice Michigan craft beer with us and their excellent fresh grounded coffee and we watched a movie with John. This is an outstanding place with very sweet and warm hosts for exploring Lake Michigan. Can't go wrong! And before we forget; you got to try the chocolates from Jill.

    Nina2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jill was an absolutely lovely host. Her home is exactly as pictured and a beautiful exhibit of unique art. She made my friend and I feel very comfortable and at home during our girls weekend get-away. The private bedroom includes a queen bed, couch, couple of tables and 1/2 bathroom. There is also access to the common living space and kitchen, and the full bathroom. We stayed out late at night, but due to the location of the guest door and bedroom, we didn't feel that we would disrupt Jill and her husband when we came in - there is a good distance from their personal bedroom. Jill was so kind, leaving us some Michigan goodies, her homemade truffles and cookies (delicious!) and tips for things to do in the area. On our first day we drove about 20 minutes to Silver Beach, but then next day stayed in the area based on Jill's guidance. We went to a wonderful breakfast place, the Warren Dunes and Cherry beach, all of which are minutes away. Nearby we saw a river area with people fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking, and there were plenty of antique stores, areas to ride bikes, etc. And the cats...oh they are adorable! You can easily keep them out of the guest room, but we couldn't get enough of them. I would absolutely stay at Jill's again, and hope others get the opportunity to experience this perfect little escape.

    Cindy2015-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • It's a famous place to be at just 1:30 hours since Chicago by train. The house is very clean and very nice! Jill and his husband are perfect hosts and very friendly! They helped us all the weekend : - to pick us up and bring us back at the train station - to indicate the best places - they gave us theirs bikes to get around - they offered coffee and very good discussions I'm sure you won't find today a better place near New Buffalo!

    Elodie2014-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and her husband are great! Their house is so beautiful and different. Jill was so sweat and provided us with a bottle of wine snacks and her awesome homemade truffles. Jill was so helpful, she laid out several locations for us to check out on her table. We went to a lot of her suggestions and they are all great. They do have a few cats but they're very friendly! It was all a great experience and Jill made that possible for us. Thanks Jill!

The house is in a great location and if visiting from Chicago such a quick and easy drive. Very close to the water and wonderful setup in the house with everything you need for a fun weekend. Some great spots nearby as well which made for a perfect weekend.

  • This was a nice location close to restaurants and antique shops. Very close drive to Chicago. The beach was a little further of a walk than we expected and you do have to walk because there is no parking. So, don’t plan to lug too much. It is a fairly secluded lot, so you do feel that you are away from others. The bathrooms are very nice.

  • Fred was great! he recommended a lot good restaurants and fun activities around the area. The house was very clean and well equipped and very near to the beach and restaurants.

  • Loved this cottage! Very cozy and private but also close to shops, restaurants, and especially Greenbush Brewery! Fred was accommodating, friendly, and went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay.

  • The cottage was a perfect weekend away! We had 3 couples plus children, and the cabin had a good amount of room. The kids stayed on the futon couches that pulled out. We enjoyed grilling and the fire pit, nearby beach, plus local brewery/winery! It's a quaint cabin great for a family trip.

    Heather2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely charming lake house with a brilliant back yard fire pit and a perfect screened in porch surrounded by towering trees and jut enough open sky to take in the starry night sky-you're literally close to everything and the space feels one home.

  • Fred was super accommodating and available when needed. He communicated everything very well for us. We had 8 girls and 4 dogs and the house was just perfect! Only a half mile to the Lake, about 4 miles to a public beach, it was the ideal Labor Day gettaway. 5 stars all the way! Thanks again Fred! This was my first Air BnB experience and it was VERY easy/no hassle/no fuss. I know I won't always be able to say that.

    Stephanie2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Although I did not meet Fred, he was very proactive and welcoming via email. He sent my family restaurant recommendations, tips, and activities around the Sawyer area. We really enjoyed the cottage. It looked just as nice as it did in the pictures and was very cozy. My family would be thrilled to return someday.

We are down a lane on the lake side of Red Arrow Highway. Close to Luisa's, The Harbert Bakery, Gulistan, Capozio's. The fabulous Whistle Stop is a two minute drive for a morning pastry run.
  • We stayed at Coleen's home the weekend our daughter was married in the area. Coleen was a very helpful host passing on helpful information she had gained from her daughter's wedding earlier this year :) We really appreciated all her insights. The house is in a great location, wooded and yet easily accessible to the lake and other activities in the area. It is lovely and worked very well for our family's needs. We would highly recommend it!

  • Our family of 7 really enjoyed the perfect blend of nature we experienced at this private setting in the woods within walking distance to gorgeous Cherry Beach. The charming house was clean and more than comfortable for our group. The outdoor fire pit and hammock were highlights of our time spent at the house. Our hosts kindly welcomed us with a bottle of wine from the local winery and a smores kit. We highly recommend this house for a most relaxing getaway.

  • We had wonderful vacation here. The house was very nice and clean. It was very relaxing. I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the back porch listening to the birds. The beach was a short walk trough the woods. We really enjoyed the fires at night. I would recommend this for any family who want a nice relaxing vacation to enjoy both the woods and beach. Close to many stores and really nice restaurants. A must is the Swedish bakery just down the road.

  • This place was awesome, a wonderful mix of the woods and the beach. Surrounded by tall tall trees and the quiet that comes with the woods countered by the beauty of cherry beach! I would recommend this house to all. The hosts were accommodating, friendly and friendly. A wonderful place to stay.

Sleeps up to 4 in 2 rooms, private bath: queen futon & twin bunks. Breakfast in shared kitchen/dining area. Beach access, quiet country lane, woods, gardens, patio, fish pond. Harbor Country features: restaurants; antiques; galleries; beaches; hiking & preserves; brew pubs, wineries, and a distillery. Small, gentle, friendly dog lives with us.
We are a retired couple who have lived here full time for 15 years, with another 20 years vacationing in Harbert. We have designed and remodeled the house ourselves since we first bought it as an artist studio in 1991. Your space features a guest room with a queen size platform futon and private fenced patio space, with a private bathroom and separate entrance in a guest wing. There is an available 2nd bedroom for members of your party only, which has built-in bunk beds for additional guests. Guests have access to the shared kitchen/dining area through a hallway, and wi-fi connection. Outside there is a fire pit, a barbecue grill, and a fish/frog pond. We can help you find neat things to do in the area and give you directions. Please note: we have a small dog, part Maltese, part Poodle, who lives on the premises. Her name is Juniper, she weighs 14 lbs, and is friendly and good with children. We will keep her out of your area of the house, but if you have any concerns about her presence please contact us so we can make sure you are comfortable with her in the house.
1/2 mile walk to Harbert, with 2 restaurants, garden center, Swedish Bakery, 2 galleries and a woodworkers' outlet. Our association Lake Michigan beach is about a 10 min. walk through the dunes the other way. If you are looking for boating opportunities, there is a launch ramp at Weko beach in Bridgman, while cartoppable boats can be put in at Warren Dunes. It is just a short drive or bike to Sawyer, Lakeside, Union Pier, Three Oaks, New Buffalo, Warren Dunes, and the many attractions, wineries, brew pubs, distilleries, parks and preserves of Harbor Country. St. Joseph, Fernwood Botanical Gardens, Sarett Nature Center and Berrien Springs are all about 1/2 hr. by car.
  • Our stay with Tom and Emily was wonderful! They have a beautiful house with a lovely garden on a wooded street, about 10 minutes walk from the beach. My mom and I stayed for two nights over the weekend of the Apple Cider Century bike ride and had the best time! The rooms are clean and comfortable and Tom and Emily are super friendly and accommodating. They really made us feel at home. As we were leaving, my mom said "wow, it feels like we are leaving family." That is so accurate. We definitely recommend this place and will certainly return in years to come!

  • Tom and Emily are kind, thoughtful, and welcoming hosts! Their home is exactly as described and has all of the amenities for a fun and relaxing weekend away. Their house is a close walk from a beautiful private beach. Alternatively, there are great breweries and distilleries in the area to enjoy. Thank you Tom and Emily for a wonderful weekend!

    Hannah2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Tom & Emily were very gracious and welcoming hosts. They provided a very comfortable place to stay and we enjoyed great conversations and lovely breakfasts. They were also very sweet to our baby girl and even helped cut her some fruit during her crabby moments. They were very helpful in giving us tips on where to go and eat and offered their peaceful patio area with beautiful coy pond to sit and have coffee or drinks and appreciate some peace and quiet. There house was incredibly lovely and a peaceful getaway in the woods with beach access a short distance away. We really enjoyed our stay with Tom & Emily and hope to return someday!

  • Tom and Emily were the most wonderful hosts! They are very easy to talk to and kind, and were very flexible with our check-in/check-out times. The breakfasts they provided were delicious, and their home has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay - nice beds, outdoor patio that was great for drinking wine/relaxing, parking, easy access to beach, full kitchen, etc. Their recommendations of nearby things to do was very helpful, and we ended up doing a lot of them, including some wine tours, visiting the sand dunes & botanical gardens, and trying out some great local restaurants. If you're in the area, I'd highly recommend staying here! Not only is the home beautiful and the location perfect for relaxing, but Tom & Emily are truly wonderful, and clearly love hosting.

  • Tom and Amy were wonderul hosts! They made sure every aspect of our stay was enjoyable and helped with directions and suggestions. They certainly made our stay better. The house was comfortable and enjoyable - as good or better than advertised. The location was convenient to beaches, which was the main purpose of our trip. I can also see this being a perfect romantic getaway. We liked the wall of windows and beautiful garden setting too. Providing coffee, milk, and juice, as well as light breakfasts made the stay even more convenient. An occasional baked treat was a nice touch that showed the joy this wonderful couple gets from providing guests more than what is expected.

    Mike2015-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts could not have been warmer or more welcoming. They were helpful and considerate in every way. Everything was provided to make our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Our breakfast was perfect for us. Tom and Emily were relaxed and relaxing, friendly and positive, kind, respectful and thoughtful. Everything was clean and the space reflected care, artistry and love. Everything was just right, and beyond our expectations!!! Loved it...and them!

    Laura2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay in a great neighborhood. A beautiful Lake Michigan beach is a ten-minute walk away. And if you walk ten minutes in the other direction, you'll find a Swedish bakery and cafe. The hosts were attentive to our needs without any degree of intrusiveness. This is also the first AirBnb where we been provided a light but wholesome breakfast - yogurt, good fruit etc. The two rooms we occupied were small but clean and comfortable, one a room with bunk beds and one with a double bed. Overall, an outstanding experience.

  • Awesome weekend and the best way to celebrate the end of summer. Perfect location, perfect cottage, we were really pleased. Tom and Emily are interesting and inspiring. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home. We enjoyed the private beach and quaint little communities. We hope to return in the summer.

Nice cottage home with lots of natural light. Cozy and recently remodeled home. Has a few more amenities than a hotel room. If you're looking for the Taj Mahal please don't stay here. I offer great service for the spot. My price is equivalent to the Super 8 in town and if you're not gonna give me a 5 star rating please go to the Super 8 and stay for $159 a night. Has breakfast counter. Minimal supplies. Well water so please bring drinking water. Thanks for viewing!
Centralized in the Middle of New Buffalo and St Joseph. Is within a mile of beaches, and downtown Sawyer.
  • Charming house an easy walk to Sawyer and even the Warren Dunes if you're up to it! Sunny, comfortable with easy checkin. Jason's a great host! We'll be back again for sure.

    Claire2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Jason's place for a week long vacation in Southwest, MI and had the loveliest time. Jason's home is easy to find and about a five to seven minute drive to Warren Dunes State Park, local breweries, restaurants and cafes (hello Swedish Bakery!). The decoration in the house is really beautiful, and it gets amazing light in the mornings and late afternoons. The kitchen had all of the supplies we needed, and it was nice to have creature comforts like wifi, Netflix and a dishwasher after a long day of hiking of at the Dunes. Though it's close to Red Arrow Highway, the location is peaceful and quiet. We had the great pleasure of watching a buck and a doe relax in the backyard one afternoon. We loved being able to bring our dog, who was the most relaxed we've seen him be in quite some time. Communication with Jason was great, and he was quick to respond to email or text inquiries. All in all, this is a lovely AirBnB and we highly recommend staying here!

  • Great location 15 mins from wineries, Warren Dunes State Park and awesome restaurants. House is completely updated with a unique look and feel. Very clean and every amenity you would need for a vacation stay.

  • Beautifully updated home with its charm, conveniently located to the beach. Jason was extremely accommodating. We had a such a great time there with our kids. I highly recommend this place for the nice Michigan getaway.

  • It’s exactly as says. It’s very clean, updated and cozy. Jason was easy to work with, quick responses and clear communication. Lots of options to do around the location. No concerns at all during our stay.

  • Jason's home is the perfect place to stay when visiting Sawyer. We visited from Chicago for a dinner at Granor Farm with another couple. We enjoyed the area's breweries, wineries and distilleries, and the beautiful fall weather. Jason's home had everything for a weekend stay- perfect board game tables, TV and speakers for music, two comfortable bedrooms and two lovely decks, along with a kitchen. The bathroom was well designed and and clean. Overall, a fantastic experience.

    Zack2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience—Jason was extremely responsive, and the space and location were great.

    Michael2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! Jason was a great how and provided a lot of helpful tips and information during our stay. His place is so cute and it's a great location! We had so much fun just bouncing from town to town and checking out restaurants and beaches along the way. Jason made us feel welcome and was so accommodating. He even brought us a coffee pot in the evening so we wouldn't be without coffee in the morning when he discovered the one he had was leaking. We would definitely stay at Jason's place again.

  • Nicolette was an exceptional host. Even before we arrived at the actual property, she answered all of our questions about transportation/logistics within minutes, and was even nice enough to recommend her favorite wineries. The property itself is exactly as advertised, quaint cabins situated in a nice secluded campground right off the highway. This is perfect for those looking to have a cozy "camping" experience without having to deal with some of the most rugged parts of true tent camping. Clean linens and towels were waiting for us when we arrived, and everything functioned smoothly. The bathrooms were surprisingly nice, they look recently renovated. There are a bunch of fun lawn games available, there is a fire pit, grill, bar area and communal kitchen (with microwave). Warren Dunes state park is a 5 minute drive and the major wineries are about 10 mins away. What really sets this place apart is how accommodating the host is, she went out of her way to make sure all of our questions were answered, helped arrange transportation, and even shipped me an item that I had left behind after my stay. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The beach was a short walk away and very enjoyable. Sunsets were fabulous. My daughter and I had a very relaxing vacation.

Y, por supuesto, los casinos y los autobuses turísticos de la bodega son destinos calientes. En el camino, haga una parada cerca de la luz intermitente en Union Pier (salida 6) para sándwiches en Milda's Deli.
  • The home was beautiful and Kristy was really wonderfully accommodating. We had multiple families staying together with really diverse needs (which I warned her about when making the request, thinking it may be reason for her to decline our accommodation). She -without us asking- spent the time before hand considering how to really adequately accommodate these needs, leaving us to enjoy a vacation! I was so impressed. Thank you for your generosity! Lindsey

  • Kristy was very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. I enjoyed my stay at Sawyer Studio, which was very comfortable, clean, and uniquely peacock themed. The location is great with many local attractions nearby. Kristy organized a very nice local guide which lists places to visit which was helpful.

    Wei-An2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kristy was very welcoming and had advice about surrounding activities and food. The studio was perfect for a long weekend with my husband, and was in a great location to visit beaches, restaurants, and other activities. Access to the beach in the listing's description was especially nice! We would definitely consider staying here again in the future. This was our first time using Airbnb and it was a great experience!

    Kelly2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot with a nice park just out the front door and close Assess to a couple beaches and great dinning. Just be ware of home ND football games if you are visiting in the fall.

    Keenan2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Kristy was very flexible about our arrival time and friendly upon arrival. As soon we I booked, she sent me the local guide to her favorite things to do in the area, which was helpful for planning. The guest house was adorable from the outside and just as described and pictured inside. The place definitely has a unique vibe, but was very cozy and comfortable for our little beach weekend. Though the main house is close by, we felt that we had privacy both inside and in the outdoor areas. The location is perfect for going to the beach and visiting great restaurants and attractions in Union Pier, New Buffalo, Three Oaks and more. Though it is on Red Arrow Highway, which is a main road, the guest house is set back pretty far from the street, so it's quiet and peaceful. All in all, a great place to stay for a vacation in Harbor Country!

    Anna2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • I have been coming up to the area for years now and love every minute spent on the beach or in town. This home is the perfect place for a mini-vacation. The space is small, but is just enough for 1-2 people.

    Dana2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Good communication with Kristy, although directions were not 100% accurate - hard to find, and there were no house #'s so wasn't sure which building was the studio. Small and somewhat esoteric space, layout was cramped and a very odd flow (bathtub/shower in the kitchen?!). TV didn't work, although there was a nominal credit given. Cleaning fee was exorbitant.

Our rustic 1920s cottage is located on two acres of property in a wooded area of Harbert, on the lake side of Red Arrow Highway. It's a casual getaway with a treehouse-like feeling as you look down the ravine at the brook that meanders through the property.
The property is a 1920s two-bedroom cottage (one king bed, one Queen bed, one bath) with central heat and air. The cottage consists of a vaulted great room with windows and skylights, crammed with books and comfy chairs that surround a stone fireplace. The dining room and fully equipped kitchen overlook the wooded ravine and have crank-open picture windows that open up to create the tree house effect. The screened-in porch accommodates dining for four and has patio furniture for lounging,
What to do: Beach activities on Lake Michigan, Kayak and Canoe rentals, Fishing on the Galien River, Cycling, Warren Dunes (most amazing sledding in wintertime), U-pick strawberries and blueberries in summer (apples and pumpkins in fall), Cross country skiing, Hiking and camping, Antiquing, Art Galleries, Distilleries, Breweries, Wineries, Vickers Theatre (first-run art house movies), Acorn Theatre (live theatre and music), Farmers' markets- (Local meat, eggs, dairy, produce and flowers), Casinos, Day trips to Saugatuck, St Joseph, South Bend, Mishawaka.
  • Shade gave us everything we needed and if we couldn't find something he was very quick to respond to a text or email. The house was perfect but like all houses it has its quirks and he did not hesitate to help us out when we had questions.

    Krystal2014-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a cozy and beautiful home, stay here! Shade's home is absolutely lovely and will have everything that you need to relax. Take advantage of the fireplace! The king-sized bed was super comfortable, the shower has great water pressure and their home was clean. Shade will send you directions, instructions and tips to address all of your questions. Ladies, bring shampoo and a hairdryer! Warren Dunes is just a few miles away and walking out on the frozen lake in the middle of winter was a cool experience!

    Nancy2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Shade's cottage is a wonderful retreat from the city. Quiet and serene, and just a stone's throw from the beach and great stuff in sawyer and new buffalo. The cottage was very clean and well-furnished, and had great spaces to kick back and relax-- inside and out. It was a great fit for our family of four. We'll definitely be back!

    Charles2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time we've stayed at Shade's place, and it won't be the last. We LOVE it.

    Kim2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! It is perfect for a quiet escape from the city. The kitchen had most of the things we needed to cook in all weekend. It is a short drive over to Warren Dunes park for some excellent hiking. The fireplace was a must! It was a perfect way to end the evening. Shade made the check in and check out process very easy. We would definitely stay here again!

    Jeff2016-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Shade's rustic cabin is well-maintained, close to great restaurants and the lake, yet very private. A tremendous value with lots of character.

    Kyle2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Sawyer at Shade's home. The house is really beautiful and this part of town really has a lot to offer for a weekend getaway. We definitely recommend staying here.

    Stacey2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This truly was a perfect wooded getaway; a balance of seclusion and convenience! Full of rustic charm, not sterility, the home lacked for nothing and I'm planning on renting again next chance I get. As a bonus, Shade was available immediately via phone and text, and was able to help us quickly solve the couple questions that surfaced. Give the full property description a read...if it fits your style, I testify that you won't be disappointed.

Awesome screened porch, cable TV, open wi-fi and a gourmet kitchen on 2 acres of real estate just a short walk from the beach. Great night sky for star gazing and a fire pit for making those S'mores.
Tidy cottage with a huge back yard attracting wild turkeys, deer, even a lone coyote. Close to nature with a really great screened porch for hanging out, reading or napping.
Great location just 3 minutes off I-94. Close to the beach, around the corner from The Swedish Bakery and Cafe Gullistan, access to bicycle trails and Warren Dunes State Park.

A 90 minute drive from Chicago - this renovated farmhouse is close to the beach, wine vineyards, and The Swedish Bakery (which also serves a fabulous breakfast).
Some extra things of note about the house: •3 seasons room •Private tennis and basketball court •Trampoline •Ping pong table •Pool table •Patio space •Grill Bedding arrangements: •1 king •2 queen (1 has a pullout that sleeps 2) •2 twin beds plus each twin bed has a pullout bed under it The house can easily accommodate 10, but for upkeep reasons we have kept that as a limit. In addition to the bedding that I have already mentioned there are two blow up mattresses and 3 large couches.
  • The house is beautiful and lovely! We had a great stay, slept our group comfortably and enjoyed the amenities. The home is a great get away from Chicago, within a 90 min drive and in a very cute lakeside town.

    Ellen2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beautiful, well maintained and more than we could have hoped for. Even the amazing pictures don't do it justice. We only spent one night, but immediately were ready to plan another trip and stay longer. Communication was fast and easy, Alec provided extensive directions/local places/tips and we cannot wait to return.

    Kim2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our time. The house is comfortable, the grounds are stunning, the pool is well maintained, and the host was available. We tryly had a remarkable experience and may return again!

    Laura2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic and although we stayed here in November (and it was great) I would imagine it is the ultimate summer getaway with the extended family. Alec was easy to work with and responded very quickly to my initial questions. Can't describe how impressed I was with this place.

    Jared2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, spacious home that is perfect for a relaxing Michigan getaway. So much to do with a pool, hot tub, ping pong table, tennis court etc. Could not have been happier with the pretty accommodations and the host was great. Highly recommend!

    Erica2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great house with a lot of amenities to enjoy. We spent 3 days there and our kids didn't even want to leave the house. The neighborhood is also great. Alec was very responsive and helped us with everything we needed.

    Nicolas2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed last week of August into the first week of September. Let me just say that this home is AMAZING! The pictures do not tell the entire story of this beautifully restored home that is in great proximity to a wonderful state park beach. However, you might not want to ever leave the house. The owner Alec, made everything involving the rental process super easy and answered any questions we had. Upon arrival, the home was very clean and we couldn't believe the amount of space and amenities this home has. You enter into a beautiful foyer with a gorgeous spiral staircase. After settling in, we took a refreshing dip in our own PRIVATE POOL. We were able to rinse off in the bathroom with shower located right off the pool in the pool house. This home has its own Tennis/Basketball court out back, with lights! We spent a couple relaxing nights in the giant sunken Hot-Tub while listening to music on the homes Sonos sound system that has speakers integrated throughout the house, including outside! Played pool and ping-pong in the game room which has a wet bar and large screen TV. We enjoyed a fire or two in the sunken fire-pit. There is everything you need in the gourmet kitchen to serve or cook any meal. This home has it all. My family and I have stayed in numerous homes we booked on Air BNB as well as other vacation home sights and are sometimes skeptical as to whether the home will be what it seems to be as described on the site. Well, this was not the case with this home. It was all it seemed to be but much more!! Trust me, you will not want to leave!! Thanks Alec for sharing your beautiful home, we will definitely be returning!

    Sean2016-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. This place really is incredible. Alec is a great host with very quick communication. Check in was a breeze and the home was immaculate. The house is great but what really separates this place from others I've checked out is the outdoor space. The PRIVATE tennis court, basketball court (although the nets really need to be replaced), trampoline, heated pool w/diving board, and hammock are all amazing. We were here for 3 days with out 2 families and we literally did not leave the premises. Alec's manual is very detailed and basically answers any questions you may have. Oh, and the beds were extremely comfortable as well. Overall, a five star stay.

  • Janice and Bob were great hosts. A welcome bottle of wine, friendly greeting. Very nice. The studio is originally a gallery or small store. Good location, all amenities as advertised. Very small shower, studio is more like a basement apartment than an apartment studio, but clean.

  • We had a great time at the Gallery Loft studio. It is very conveniently located off the highway and near some great local restaurants and shops as well as beautiful views of Lake Michigan. The apartment itself is just as advertised: clean, quaint, unique, and very comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here and hope to be back soon!

  • The host made us feel very welcome and the space was very nice. We were close enough to town that it wasn't difficult to get anywhere but we were also far enough from young families. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at this location and plan to the next time I travel to that area.

    Andrew2015-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Listing was accurate. This is basically a set of storefronts which have been converted into rooms. They're nice enough for a short stay, though it's a bit of a weird layout. My wife and I used the place as a jumping off point to the other attractions in the area, and we had fun.

    Rob2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The hostess was very responsive with my questions and very polite. The room was clean and she even left us a bottle of wine. My only warning is despite it saying its close to various things in town- it is not. You have to drive to go anywhere.

  • Janice met us as soon as we arrived and showed us around the room. She was very informative about places to visit in the area.

    Dan2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place was wonderful. It was beautiful, cozy, and the location made it so easy to explore everywhere. It was quiet though by the main road and the small fan in the unit drowned out any street noise. Out hosts were hand off but set up everything so that we had recommendations for food and shopping. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

    Kat2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wanted to love it, but we didn't. Main problem was the noise from traffic. I'm a light sleeper, so I was miserable. When trucks went by the whole room rattled. These units are in what looks like a strip mall of offices right on the main highway. It's rustic, cobbled together furniture and fittings. The only sink is in bathroom, so we needed to rinse things off in bathroom. We never met hosts, room was open when we arrived. They did leave a bottle of wine that my husband enjoyed, so that was nice. I think if you are only staying for 1 night you'll be fine.

    GAIL2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The space is exactly as described! The space was lovely and quaint and the backyard area is cute and rustic. There was a power outage, due to no fault of Jan and Bob, but they met us at the front door with lanterns and candles! This made the experience nicer in the end.
