“Elephants. If there's one memory that you'll take away from a Chobe safari, it's that of elephants. Some 70 000 of them live in and around the Chobe National Park, and huge numbers of them can be crowding the banks of the Chobe River and Savuti Channel during the long dry season. And elephants are just the start: if you've ever wanted to see Africa's teeth and claws in action then this is as good a destination as you're likely to get. Chobe is where lions regularly take on herds of buffalo and clash with packs of hyenas; it's the setting for a spectacular summer zebra migration, to see wild dogs hunting and abundant bird life. Put simply, a Chobe safari holiday offers some of the best, most close-up game viewing in Africa. ””

National Park
“Chobe National Park, Kasane, Botswana Chobe National Park is located in northern Botswana near the vast, inland Okavango Delta. It is known for its large herds of elephants (an estimate of up to 85,000 can be dispersed within Chobe National Park during the dry season) and Cape Buffalo all centred around the stunning Chobe River. The park also has lions, leopards and many other species. How to Get There •By Road Reputable tour operators like Wild Horizons Zimbabwe and Shearwater Adventures run Day Trips to Chobe National Park from Victoria Falls everyday. The tour costs between US$160-170 for seven (7) hours. Clients are transferred to the Kazungula border in Zimbabwe, where their Botswana guide will meet them. They will proceed straight to the morning cruise where they will spend the morning game viewing along the Chobe River. The cruise will end at around 12h30 and clients will go to a hotel on the riverbank for lunch. After lunch, guests will board safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park. Following this they will be taken back to the Kazungula Border where their Zimbabwean guide for their return transfer to Victoria Falls will meet them. Passports and visas are required for this tour. ”

“Untamed Africa. It's one thing to let David Attenborough give you a taste of this African safari via your tv remote control flick, but until you are lucky enough to step into the wild and let the Rhinos, Hippos, Buffaloes, Zebras, Warthogs, Elephants & Antelopes seduce and take you in to their home, then you've found a bucket list type adventure. Mosi-Oa Tunya national park in Livingstone Zambia has it all and then some ”
