The neighbourhood is picturesque, steeped in history & very safe (since the English Civil War of the 1640's was concluded!) The Cotswolds is filled with lovely places to dine out - there is a nice village pub, The Red Lion, within walking distance. Please just ask for any recommendations of places to visit during your stay. Chastleton House is a mile away & described as the finest example of a Jacobean Country House in England. Little Compton has a Stunning Manor House with Saxon/Norman Church adjoining. The Walks from The Garden Room are spectacular, for example, an hour & half walk through fields will take you to Long Compton & another Red Lion for lunch perhaps?.. equally fabulous food. Traveling further afield by car or taxi, you have Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Norton, Stratford Upon Avon, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Woodstock & Blenheim Palace, Cheltenham, Oxford, all under an hour to get to & all beautiful towns.
  • Had a lovely time at Pamela's cottage, the pictures don't do the place justice, Its even nicer than it looks. Pamela and her husband (and pets!) were all very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay; particularly appreciated when we arrived late at night after a disastrous journey. Both gave great recommendations for things to do in the local area, and there's so much to do and see nearby we wish we'd stayed longer. There's a local pub less than 2 minutes walk away that does really good food too.

  • We loved our stay in Pam's cottage in the Cotswold. The area is simply beautiful anywhere you look. Pam was away on holiday when we arrived but her daughter Daisy was there to check us in and her friend Andrea filled in for breakfast. She was flexible and accommodating making sure we had plenty to eat whether we chose to have a full English breakfast or continental. The 5 of us (2 couples and baby) slept comfortably but the floors were a bit creaky so we had to be careful with baby. the cottage is about five minutes from Moreton in Marsh so very convenient for getting around. our favorite towns were Broadway - loved the food at the Broadway hotel bar - and Bourton on the water (little Venice of Cotswold), chipping Campden and stow on the wold were great too.

  • We had a lovely time at Pamela's Coach house. We only wish we could have stayed there longer. Everything was wonderful, the food, the house, the location. The beds were excellent too. We highly recommend it!! Our only problem was that we got their too late at night so it made it difficult to see some of the smaller village signs.

    Catherine2015-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We only had one night in Pam's Coach House but it was such a comfortable stay and everything was so clean and accessible. Wish we could have stayed longer! Pam was very friendly and helpful and gave us endless amount of recommendations for places to eat and villages to visit during our holiday in England. The beauty products that she had in the main bedroom were so beautiful to use also. The cooked breakfast was amazing - felt so spoilt!! Would definitely return.

  • Pamela's place was fantastic, even better than we hoped for. My wife especially loved how it was decorated. My kids appreciated the TVs and movie selections. I loved the proximity to the Red Lion and the excellent food and drink. I only wish we had booked her place for a longer stay.

    Michael2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of three adored Pamela's coach house. Unfortunately, we only had one short night there but it was the perfect place to relax. Pamela greeted us warmly, made sure we were situated, and gave us great recommendations for the area. The coach house is private, cozy, and well stocked with movies and refreshments. We only wish our stay was longer and hope to return someday!

  • 地理位置稍偏远,自驾的会更方便。不然需要从镇上打出租车过去。房间很好,床铺非常舒适,早餐对男生来说觉少

    Lan2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay at the coach house! As the room is in a separate building it feels private and it's easy to relax without feeling you're intruding in someone's house. The bed was very comfy and the DVD collection/player is a really nice homely touch. It was also great to have the garden to sit in downstairs and enjoy the evening/morning sun and play with the cat/dogs/goldfish that belong to the family. Pamela sorted us out with a table at the local pub to eat in the evening and the next morning her husband Neil sorted us out with a great breakfast and told us about some walks with some good views in the surrounding countryside. Pamela and her family were really friendly and welcoming and we will definitely go back if we visit this area again!

Aptly named, the Mousehole is a unique miniature barn; the perfect place to unwind. Situated in an 'Area of Outstanding Beauty' in the heart of the Cotswolds this recently renovated cottage has retained an abundance of character. A 3-minute walk to the popular Chequers Inn, and Daylesford, Soho Farmhouse and Blenheim Palace nearby. With endless walks on your doorstop, it is an ideal romantic hideaway if you are looking to get away from it all. We look forward to welcoming you!
The Mousehole has recently been completely renovated to a high standard. The cosy double bed on the mezzanine floor makes the space ideal for a couple. The cottage is open plan with the exception of the shower room. If you require an additional bed, the sofa converts into a comfortable 2nd double bed. Please let us know when booking if you would like it made up before your arrival. We pride ourselves with attention to detail and want to make your stay perfect! Although we have done everything we can to adhere to health and safety requirements, PLEASE NOTE this is a very old building and the stairs and mezzanine floor are not suitable for toddlers or young children. We leave this to PARENT'S DISCRETION.
We think the Mousehole would have been built in the late 1690's, when the village was rebuilt after a fire. Churchill is a very friendly and popular village with a Heritage Centre, William Morris Memorial, All Saints Church, cricket pitch, fountain and village green. As well as the much loved Chequers Inn! You will be ideally placed for touring the Cotswolds and visiting the wealth of visitor attractions and leisure activities in the area. Please see our 'Guide Book' for a few ideas to get you started.
  • A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful part of the UK. The Mousehole had everything we needed for our 2 night stay - we could have easily stayed longer! It has been renovated to a very high standard and was a great place to stay as it was in a good location to visit other places in the Cotswolds. The village of Churchill was a great setting and although we didn’t end up visiting the pub, it was just around the corner. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

  • Wonderful stay! Katharine was welcoming and very helpful in offering advice on exploring the area! Thanks again!

  • This stunning period conversion is perfect for a little weekend get away. The Mousehole is a beautiful self contained space allowing you to relax in privacy but with the wonderful and helpful Katherine just opposite in her own house. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for and Oxfordshire break.

    Alistair2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mousehole is adorable. Great location for exploring the Cotswolds, surrounded by picturesque views. Cameras at the ready. Thanks again Katharine for your hospitality.

  • Das 'Mousehole' liegt in einem schönen kleinen Cotswolds Dorf - ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt um die Gegend zu erkunden! In dem gemütlichen Häuschen haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

  • A fantastic, homely and clean cottage. We had an absolutely wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it. The cottage is finished to an extremely high standard and is well placed to explore the surrounding countryside. We would recommend going to The Chequers pub round the corner from Mousehole for some great food and drinks. Thanks for an excellent stay!

    Oliver2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really enjoyable stay at the Mousehole. It was exactly what we were looking; a base to enable is to explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Katherine's advice and communication was spot on which enabled a smooth arrival and departure allowing us to come and go without any fuss. We would certainly recommend.

    Angela2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Mousehole is a fantastic place to stay, everything you need in a small, but perfectly formed space. Katharine (and Ollie) were lovely hosts, you knew they were there if you needed a pointer, but they left you to your own devices. We will be back.

Our charming barn conversion on the edge of attractive Churchill village offers a stunning country view and is a perfect base to explore the Cotswold's unique Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The barn consists of two spacious bedrooms, family bathroom and an open plan kitchen/dining area with a fantastic living area with stunning views to soak up. Local highlights are: The Chequers of Churchill Pub, 2 minutes walk away. The renowned medieval market town of Burford with its Cotswold Wild Life Park and Burford Garden Centre. Stow-on-the wold Chipping Norton Blenheim palace Daylesford, the award winning organic farm shop & cafe The Wild Rabbit, the PUB OF THE YEAR in the 2015 edition of the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide. Bicester village Kingham and many more beautiful Cotswold villages to explore. Oxford and Cheltenham are also a short drive away.
We love the stunning views and peacefulness. Our daughter loves the playground by the village hall and eating at the local pub!
  • We absolutely loved our stay in the Cotswolds! This charming rental was in a perfect location for access to a variety of activities. The furnishings were lovely and the place is extremely well kept. The beds are wonderfully soft- like sleeping on a cloud. We were traveling with a 1 year old and the place was well furnished with a travel cot, highchair and toys! Salee was great at promptly responding to questions and was very accommodating. Would definitely consider if in the area again!

  • We really enjoyed our weekend in Sally's country home. There are certainly many nice places in the Cotswold but One can't find a better location than Churchill with many great pubs and restaurants nearby. The house is cozy with a beautiful garden and nice views. It is perfect for a family or two couples. Communication with the host was very easy and extremely helpful. We will be back.

    Robert2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place, full of light with a stunning view. The Chequers right around the corner made for a delicious dinner and a little celebrity spotting. Everything was clean, communications were quick and responsive. If we are ever lucky enough to make it back to the Cotswolds, we'll be booking here.

    Jennifer2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Salee's place. It was a great location as we were looking for a quiet place for a week end away from London. Churchill is really cute and we managed to visit oxford and Blenheim which are pretty close! We also went to daylesford farm which is 10min drive. We were travelling with our 20 month old daughter and there are great facilities in the cottage (high chair, toy, space, closed garden...).

    Pauline2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • An idyllic setting, a comfortable home away from home ...that is Salee's barn. It's a wonderful base to explore the many close by Cotswold villages. Salee responded very quickly to the questions we had and always with a good solution. This holiday accommodation was a true gem

    Mary2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a long weekend at the barn to explore the Cotswolds…with the weekend also seeing me propose to my girlfriend! Salee and her friend Laura were absolutely amazing in helping with preparations and I can’t thank them enough. The barn itself was easy to find in the small, yet beautiful village of Churchill. It’s really well laid out, spotlessly clean and in a great location to explore the Cotswolds. The local pub – The Chequers – is great and also within walking distance. The Wild Rabbit restaurant in Kingham is also amazing and well worth a visit. The barn has everything you need as well as great views from the bedroom (the bed is also super comfy). There are loads of walks nearby – would recommend the circular walk up to Broadway Tower – and would highly recommend it for couples or small families.

  • This cottage gets glowing reviews from a quick scan of the reviews section, and it is in a great location with good views across the Cotswolds countryside, however, I don't believe it was great value for money as it is fairly basic and the interior décor is a bit old and dated. Staying in other airbnb properties of similar value, we've come to expect a higher overall standard. I was also disappointed that there were no basic essentials in the cottage, such as milk, bread and tea. From our fairly extensive experience with airbnb properties, this appears to be the norm. Our arrival was also disappointing due to a mix up with keys and the number of towels. Although minor issues, it was a bit annoying. It makes it more difficult to resolve these issues when the owner lives elsewhere and cannot immediately address these issues. On a positive note, the location is fantastic, with gorgeous views across the Cotswolds, and the village of Churchill is very pretty, with a good local pub.

  • Greystone Barn is fabulous! Great location in a quiet village, with a good view of the landscape. Perfect for going on walks and just being away from city/traffic/noises etc. It was clean and had all the necessessities(and more!). We loved the fireplace. Salee was welcoming and helpful, responding quickly ensuring everything went smoothly. Will be recommending it to friends and family!

    Charming Cotswold Barn

Large friendly house, space to feel privacy. Own bedroom & bathroom & sitting rm (with sofa bed). Set in a Cotswold village. Easy access to Oxford, London, Woodstock. Local hot spots Soho Farmhouse, Daylesford, and the award winning local pub. (Please note the bathroom is a shared bathroom). This is a family house with cats.
The space is in a family home, it is a home from home giving you all the you need with a fully equipped kitchen (though so many delicious eating places you wont need it). You have your own large sitting room with a tv in to relax back in the evenings.
We are in the heart of the Cotswold in every direction there is something wonderful to see from the Rollwight stones to Castles and Palaces. The worlds most famous write was born in Stratford - Upon - Avon, Shakespeare see his place where he wrote them.. Kings and Queens lived in Warwick Castle and the history of Blenheim Palace. The pretty chocolate box villages all on your door step.
  • Nice place but very bad value for money.

  • If you have a chance to stay in the Cotswolds Natasha is a brilliant host. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. She helped plan walking trips, recommended dinner spots, took us out for breakfast and drove us around. Her generosity and kindness made our trip to the village of Churchill one worth remembering. We look forward to returning and catching up with Natasha.

  • Lovely house, Natasha was very helpful.

    Jeff2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for 5 nights. Even before we arrived, Natasha had helped us out with lots of information and recommendations of the local area. Following her suggestion, we booked a table at the local pub, The Chequers, which is a stones throw from the property and enjoyed a nice meal and a few drinks. Her house was very informal and we were made very welcome. Able to use all facilities and never felt as if we were in her way. Would happily recommend and we will certainly visit again. Thanks Natasha, lovely Deven and the purrfect cats xx

  • We had a wonderful stay in Churchill. Natasha was a wonderful host, giving us lots of helpful advice on the local area, giving us a lift to the start of our walk and making us feel very at home. The house is beautiful, super clean and right next door to a fantastic pub serving delicious food. Highly recommended.

Gables Cottage is accessed via its back door, which opens into a small porch and then a larger hallway. Two ground floor rooms lead off the hallway: Living room: A beautiful dual-aspect room, with flagstone flooring in half the room, exposed Cotswold stone, oak beams and a large inglenook fireplace, containing a wood burning stove. There is comfy seating for six and a flatscreen TV, with a DVD player and a full Sky package; Kitchen/dining room: Another dual-aspect room, with oak beams and a lovely window seat. The kitchen facilities include an electric range cooker, with two ovens, four hobs and a warming section, a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and a Smeg fridge with a small freezer section. This sociable room also contains a wooden dining table and six dining chairs. A beautiful wooden spiral staircase goes up from the hallway to the first floor landing. Please note that the staircase is steep and narrow, however, it does have a hand rail in the centre and fixed stair gates at the top and bottom. The following rooms are on the first floor: Master bedroom: Another beautiful dual-aspect room, with elm floorboards and oak beams, which contains a king size bed. There is also a small en-suite bathroom, containing an electric shower, toilet and wash basin; Bedroom 2: Again, a lovely dual-aspect room, with elm floorboards, oak beams, exposed Cotswold stone and an old inglenook fireplace. Contains a king size bed; Family bathroom: The large, elegant bathroom has recently been refurbished and contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. A door on the landing opens onto another narrow, steep spiral staircase, leading up to the second floor. Please note that there is no handrail on this staircase, or safety gate at the top. There is a small landing at the top of the stairs, which contains a particularly low beam, which must be ducked under to get into: Bedroom 3: A lovely room, in the eaves of the cottage, which contains two single beds and a sofa. Gable Cottage's mature, enclosed garden is at the back of the property and is a mixture of lawn and patio areas. There is an outdoor table and plenty of seating, as well as a charcoal barbecue and children's outdoor toys. Within the garden is an outhouse, which contains a washing machine, tumble dryer and a large fridge freezer. Outside the garden, there is off-street parking available for two cars.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • We had a wonderful 4 nights at swallow's rest with our baby. The whole place is beautiful and well kitted out. The underfloor heating and wood burning stove meant we were toasty warm even though it was chilly outside. Jamie was a great host, providing good instructions and lots of helpful advice (and even a scrabble set that we asked to borrow!). We would highly recommend this place for a Cotswolds getaway!

  • This is such a lovely apartment. We stayed here on mini moon for 2 nights after our wedding as we couldn't go on honeymoon straight away. We spent the first evening relaxing and catching up on sleep and the following day we went for a long walk around the countryside. This place was absolutely perfect and my only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The hosts have a large selection of dvd's which you can borrow as well as Apple TV, Netflix etc. It is also situated in what feels like the middle of nowhere and so is perfectly peaceful. Even better, however, if you walk 10 mins down the road, you reach a gorgeous bar/restaurant/hotel. We ate there twice and both times it was lovely. Staff were friendly and food was delicious. This place is a perfect oasis when you need a break from a busy lifestyle. I think we were extra lucky as the weather was glorious the whole time we were there!

  • What a find! We were extremely pleased with our stay at Swallow's Rest having looked for somewhere suitable for a weekend break in the Cotswolds. A very friendly greeting was received on our arrival with a quick tour of the accommodation and practicalities. There were also some nice touches like fresh flowers and a few items in the fridge. It is very handily located for exploring some of the most popular parts of the Cotswolds and also if you like food then there are some real local gems in the Kingham Plough and Daylesford Organic Farm not very far away. The accommodation matched the description as a very modern and stylish place to stay. We would very much like to stay again!

  • A lovely little hideaway in the Cotswolds! Everything was perfect and the decor was really refreshing. The fire in February was definitely cosy. Jamie and Rachel are lovely people and Jamie is very helpful with local recommendations. If you stay here, go to the Wild Rabbit for dinner - lovely atmosphere and food.

  • Great stay, warms hosts. The place had lots of space and modern and cozy decor. Great amenities and we made full use of the kitchen easily. Very charming town. Thanks so much!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Swallow's Rest, for a weekend break. The apartment has everything you need (and more) - great attention to detail has gone into it. The garden is a particular plus. The location is very convenient for Kingham, with a station and 2 great pubs! Jamie was a great host - communicating and offering support where needed. Would definitely stay again.

  • Swallows' Rest is a beautifully appointed, self-contained apartment that feels secluded and rural whilst still being only a ten minute walk from Kingham train station. The apartment has everything you need and has some lovely touches like a rain shower and a tv that tucks away into the sideboard. We collected the keys easily upon arrival and were made to feel very welcome by Jamie and his family. This place is perfect for anyone looking to stay in the peace and quiet of the Cotswolds whilst being near to some lovely restaurants and country walks. Would definitely recommend!

Sun Cottage is just New to the Market. A handsome, traditional Cotswold Stone Cottage with a stylish conversion. Rustic Modern is a good description of this delightful cottage. Luxurious amenities with the old world classic charm of an Inglenook fireplace and a wood burning stove to snuggle up by on winter evenings. A pretty garden to enjoy Al Fresco dining as the sun goes down. You do not even need a car in this beautiful village everything is on your doorstep !
The Space The kitchen/dining room overlooks the back garden and has sleek, black granite worktops with plenty of preparation area. The appliances include a washing machine, dishwasher, electric Rangemaster cooker with ceramic hob, integrated fridge/freezer, toaster and a microwave oven. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine - with four capsules to get you started. The kitchen is equipped with a great range of cooking and baking equipment. There is a rustic dining table and chair set which comfortably seats four people. In the spacious lounge there is a wonderful inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove, a large sofa with two very comfortable armchairs. A long zinc desk provides space to work on a laptop (wi-fi is installed for fast internet and email). The entertainment system includes a smart TV, DVD player and a Sonos music system. The stairs are carpeted and have a handrail but they are fairly steep and may be unsuitable for someone with mobility difficulties. The master bedroom is styled in soft, relaxing greys and has a kingsize bed and ample wardrobe and storage space. There are two comfortable window seats overlooking the garden. The smart, modern en-suite bathroom has a large, double-ended bath, a wc and a hand basin. The second bedroom has two full-sized single divan beds and plenty of storage space. The en-suite bathroom has a spacious shower, large handbasin and wc. We also provide a portable cot and linen for little ones, and there are safety stair gates at both ends of the stairs. Both bedrooms are fitted with venetian blinds as well as Roman blinds to enable you to control light levels. The bedrooms have a view to the garden. Outside Sun Cottage there is a pretty garden, albeit in its first year! There is a patio at the end of the garden with table, chairs and parasol seating four people. There is also a little summerhouse and a barbecue. A bench outside the backdoor of the cottage provides a pleasant space by the herb garden to enjoy an early morning coffee. There is a right of way running behind Sun Cottage which gives our lovely neighbour access for bin collection and her bike. There is parking for one car and plenty of space in front of the cottage for another.
Diana’s home is located in Kingham, England, United Kingdom. Kingham is a beautiful village (voted England's finest in Country Life magazine) with two great award-winning pubs, The Kingham Plough and the Michelin-starred Wild Rabbit. There is a beautiful village green, a church and fabulous walks, cycling and running tracks. A 20 minute walk through the fields takes you to the wonderful Daylesford Organics farm shop, cafe, cookery school and spa - there's also an amazing flower room. Kingham has its own little village shop and post office which supplies various groceries and meat from local farmers, it also has a dry cleaning service. There are other amazing gastro pubs and restaurants in nearby villages and the market towns of Chipping Norton and Stow on the Wold, both about 15 minutes drive away. These two towns are packed with interesting shops and places to eat. There are beautiful gardens to visit Hidcote, Kiftsgate Court, Batsford Arboretum and amazing country houses for example at Snowshill Manor and Chastleton House. Getting around Kingham station is a mile away from the village and a bus meets most trains. The line runs from London Paddington, through Oxford and on to Hereford. Birmingham Airport is 50 minutes away by car. Gatwick and Heathrow are both within two hours and can be reached via public transport, taxi or car. Excelsior Taxis in Chipping Norton are very good.
  • Diana was extremely helpful and I couldn't ask for more assistance. Her cottage is the perfect place to stay to explore the lovely area and towns nearby. Any questions I had she was available to help. The cottage itself is beautiful, cosy clean and all modern equipment. And to top it off, the welcome basket of local food and champagne was the cherry! I can't wait to go back.

  • Having just stayed at Sun Cottage for 4 weeks, I would highly recommend this. It is a beautiful house inside and out. The house is very well equipped in every aspect. The bedrooms in particular are very beautiful with good quality linens and beds. The location is fabulous too- within a very short walk of 2 pubs and a village shop. One of the pubs in particular is very good for foodies- having a Michelin star. Diana the host was always on hand to answer any questions. All in all a beautiful cottage and very helpful and friendly host. I would most definitely stay there again.

  • The cottage was beautiful inside with both traditional features as well as having a modern touch. The place was well stocked with essentials and we were left a lovely little note of where to find the local fresh milk. Great location close to the spa and also to the feathered nest pub. Thanks Luke for the stay.

  • Kingham is a beautiful little village and the thatched cottage is a beautiful place to stay. We did not have a car and yet everything we needed was in walking distance. Including lovely footpaths - and especially The Wild Rabbit and Daylesford Farm. One of the best features of the cottage was the gourmet kitchen. We had everything we needed down to the copper pots and the BBC radio. The second best feature were heavenly beds. We look forward to a return trip.

  • Chris's place was exactly as advertised- the perfect spot to enjoy the Cotswolds. The accommodation was exactly what we needed; comfy bed, good facilities, nice and peaceful! The breakfast Chris provides was AMAZING, the best croissants i've had in a long time, and a cooked breakfast done to perfection. Chris and her dogs were welcoming, and she was a helpful and thoughtful host.

  • Lovely B+B set in a small quaint village. The accommodation was very clean and nicely decorated, the bed was extremely comfy. Christine's breakfasts were fantastic and really set you up for a day of walking and exploring other towns and villages nearby. Easy to find and check in. Plenty of local pubs within a few miles which gives you great choice. Would definitely recommend staying here.

  • My stay was FANTASTIC!! The house and my living space was perfect - private bedroom, bathroom, and sitting room all upstairs to myself with tea and snacks. Chris cooks amazing breakfasts and did a great job orienting me to the area and also helped me with transportation since I didn't have a car (cars do make it MUCH easier to get around the area). She also often left me treats upstairs Iike candy and fruit. The nearby pub was perfect for dinner and there are lots of walking paths nearby to enjoy. Other towns in the Cotswolds are fairly close for exploring. I would absolutely stay with Chris again and recommend her place to anyone visiting. She made my experience in the Cotswolds absolutely lovely.

  • Christine's place was absolutely lovely! The Irish Setters, Raffy and Finny, were the most adorable dogs we've ever met. The breakfast was huge and delicious. The location was perfect for us to explore the Cotswolds by bike. There was lovely attention to detail like leaving shortbread and sweets for us. There was a bedroom, full bathroom and living area, and you can access it all without going through the main house so it's like you get your own apartment. It was an easy 15 minute bike ride from the nearest station, too, so easy to get to as well. We felt very well taken care of!

  • A lovely little suite of rooms in a stunning Cotswold village (with a good village pub). Basically a cosy private apartment minus the kitchen. Chris was extremely helpful and friendly and cooked fantastic, big breakfasts. A great place to get away from London for the weekend.

  • Christine was a wonderful host! The self contained apt was beautifully clean and comfortable, had everything you needed and more – no detail was forgotten. Christine’s breakfasts were fab, she goes the extra mile with everything, and the smoked trout was delicious. I had an absolutely delightful stay with Christine, and I couldn’t recommend staying here highly enough for a beautiful Cotswolds break.

    Claire2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Christine and her x2 delightful Irish Setters welcomed us and her exceptional hospitality you couldn't question. Making our time in the Cotswolds absolutely perfect location along with everything that Christine outlined on her Airbnb site. The Cotswolds are a picture into themselves. We highly recommend Christine's property and omgness the incredible breakfasts. Thank you again Christine for making our stay so welcoming and relaxing.

    Erika2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sadly, we not get to meet Christine, or her dogs, during our stay, but her friends and neighbours were most welcoming and helpful. Her home is so picturesque and the surroundings absolutely breathtaking. Everything you need is supplied and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The local pub serves great food and is just up the road, or you can walk into Kingham in about 40 minutes or call a taxi. I had the most relaxing stay and cannot recommend it enough. Just beautiful!

Churchill stands in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is an attractive village situated in the triangle of Chipping Norton, Stow on the Wold and Burford. We have an impressive church, a village green, many listed buildings and a very popular pub. Also part of the parish is the hamlet of Sarsden, including Sarsden House. Down the centuries Churchill has had several names, such as Cercelle, Churchell. Cherchell and finally, by 1537, Churchill. This may be derived from the Old English ‘cyrc’, which means a hill, burial ground or barrow. There are several barrows within the village, which would indicate a settlement from pre-historic times. On the other hand, Churchill may be simply ‘Cyrc-hill’, literally ‘Hill-hill’, part Celtic and part Anglo-Saxon. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1085, where it is recorded that it had two mills, twenty four villeins (tenant peasant farmers tied to the land) and fourteen families. The original village of Churchill was largely abandoned at the end of the seventeenth century following a disastrous fire on 30th July 1684, allegedly caused by a baker trying to avoid the chimney tax! Twenty houses were destroyed and four people died. Only the graveyard and the chancel of the old church - now the Heritage Centre - together with uneven ground in the adjacent field, indicate its whereabouts. The villagers moved up the hill to the present site and sensibly built in stone rather than timber. More information at www.churchillsarsden.com The Heritage Centre stands in a stunning setting, overlooking the ‘lost’ village destroyed by fire in 1684, the remains of the chancel of the medieval church is home to the Churchill and Sarsden Heritage Centre. It tells the story of the village, using touchscreen technology and digital displays. The current exhibition is William Smith: The Family Man, curated by Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Recognised as the Father of English Geology, not many people know that William Smith had close personal relationships with his sister’s children, who lived with him after her death. He instilled in them his love for geology and the eldest son, John Phillips, eventually became the first keeper of OUMNH. • Great place to stay for a few days on the Cotswolds. This house has everything you need, very clean and tidy and in a good location. I'd also highly recommend going to the Wild Rabbit Inn in the next town during your stay, the good there was amazing!

  • Paula's cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It's comfortable, cosy, cute and yet spacious and modern. We found the location was great for walks, great pubs and exploring the local area. Communication was fast and Paulo was very helpful.

  • Very nice cottage break. It's clean and cosy and a great place for us to go with our newborn baby and dog. Plenty of things to do in the surrounding villages, great place for dog walks and food was good. Cottage had all the essentials and would recommend for young families or a couples get away. Check in and out we're quick and easy, we were left to our own devices but Paulo was close by if needed. Thanks

  • Absolutely lovely place with bags of room and gorgeous decor, the photos don't do it justice! Opposite the Wild Rabbit pub and only a 5 min drive from Daylesford Farm, so it's perfect for doing a cookery course and relaxing in the local pubs!

  • Lovely stay at the Garden Room in Kingham whithin close proximity to two very nice gastro pubs and good location for some great days out in the Cotswolds. The Garden room was a perfect place for myself and husband to stay to celebrate our Anniversary and our hosts Nasar and Rebecca very kindly gave us a bottle of prosecco when they found out. I would definitely recommend staying at the Garden room for its location, lovely hosts and well presented clean and comfortable accommodation.

  • Thank you for the use of your lovely home. The little touches like fresh milk in the fridge, tea and coffee were much appreciated! Great communication too - I would definitely recommend.

  • We had a great stay at the Garden Room, a lovely spacious but also cozy retreat for anyone looking to get away in the beautiful Cotswolds. Kingham is a lovely, peaceful spot to explore the area further with beautiful walks, or to take in the nearby foodie amenities of Daylesford Farm and the Wild Rabbit gastro pub which is situated opposite the accommodation, both of which we loved! Nasar was really helpful with his recommendations on the area and everything went really smoothly throughout our stay.

    Eugene2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Not quite as private as we thought - double, part glazed internal doors lead from the sitting room to the main house conservatory dining room. Tea, coffee and milk supplied which was very welcome.

    Debbie2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Set in a beautiful little village, the beautiful Garden Room is a very peaceful retreat. Kingham is a good base for exploring the surrounding area, but much quieter than Stow or Bourton. Quite basic kitchen equipment, but a wonderfully cosy living area and bedroom.

  • Lovely little cabin in the large garden of an isolated house. Cabin appears a bit larger in photos than it actually is, but was OK for my family of five. Didn't meet the host as they were away but had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Great for countryside fans but also with good wi-fi/internet for the kids.

  • Sally's modulog was lovely with fantastic views! It is very cosy and therefore would only recommend for 2 people. Great pubs, walks and other activities close by. We did find some things were looking a little tired e.g pots and pans heavily used, latch on bedroom broken and no lock of bathroom door. However we had a great time and would definitely return!

Lovely bright spacious home with beautiful views across the Cotswold countryside. Perfect accommodations for local festivals. 10 min walk into the centre of Chipping Norton town, 5 min drive to Kingham's Big Feastival and Daylesford Organic, 10 min drive to Charlbury's Wilderness Festival and Cornbury Festival and 10 minutes away from Soho Farmhouse. This is a family home and we have two very friendly cats, so we would ask guests to feed them whilst they stay.
The whole house is on one level giving easy access for anyone staying who is disabled.
We have a wonderful neighbourhood community. Our neighbours are likely to smile and say hello!
  • We would recommend the house as an ideal location to explore the Cotswolds north and east area.

The Annex is close to the villages of Kingham, Churchill and Daylesford. Local towns are Burford, Chipping Norton and Stow-on-the-wold. The Annex is perfect for a quiet weekend away in the beautiful Cotswold countryside.
The Annex is in a quiet hamlet called Lyneham. There are lovely local walks directly from the house. The annex is strictly for a maximum of two adults. There are two blow up mattresses available for children and there is space for a travel cot for babies.
There are fantastic pubs in the local villages of Churchill, Bledington and Kingham. Daylesford organic farm shop, spa and restaurant is also close by. The Wychwood golf club is close and is welcoming to non members. There are lovely local walks and bike rides and there are maps provided to guide you around the local area.

Her annex is beautiful and decorated and furnished to a high standard - I instantly felt at home there. I was up for a wedding in Chipping Norton and the annex was the perfect base for us. A funky-meets-contemporary hideaway in the heart of the countryside; perfect for group getaways or family gatherings.
Tucked away down a winding private track just outside of the peaceful hamlet of Foscot is this seriously cool cottage for up to 14 guests; an eclectic haven with outdoor and indoor space a-plenty, perfect for families and groups alike. A traditional single-story cottage from the outside, this vibrant home comes to life as soon as you step inside, filled to the brim with eye-catching artwork, bright pops of colour and unique furnishings; all sourced from owners Adam and Rowan’s private, personally-collated collection of quirky international artefacts. Light, bright spaces sweep throughout the property thanks to its many skylights and windows, with 7 bedrooms sleeping up to 14 guests comfortably, including two bedrooms specifically kitted-out for younger guests. It even benefits from a separate studio annex, great for teens or those who simply want their own space. The hub of the home comes courtesy of the spacious kitchen/dining/living space found just off the entrance hall, boasting a well-equipped kitchen, quirky living space with sofas and TV, cosy wood-burner and huge floor-to-ceiling sliding doors; expertly blending indoor/outdoor living by offering direct access onto the pretty outdoor dining veranda. Kids and big-kids alike have plenty of room to burn off energy thanks to the mature one-acre garden that sweeps around the property, with the hottest new-kid-on-the-culinary-block, Kingham, offering foodies the perfect dining destination just a 5-minute drive away. The Living Space The cottage’s contemporary-cool feel hits you as soon as you enter the bright reception hall, with walls filled-to-the-brim with a mixture of eclectic artwork- many of which are owner Rowan’s own works- greeting you as you step into the light-filled space. Just off the hallway sit the cottage’s two main living areas: a cosy snug, complete with log fire, sink-in sofas and vibrant purple walls (plus a cleverly-concealed TV) and an impressive adjoining living/kitchen/dining space spanning the rear of the cottage. This spacious open-plan hub boasts a stylish 10-seater oak dining table (plus a cute 4-seater table for little ones), high vaulted ceilings, beautiful floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a comfy lounge area at the far end; complete with TV and crackling wood-burner. The well-equipped kitchen benefits from a triple oven, gas hob, large American-style fridge and dishwasher, brought to life by vivid green cupboards and quirky mosaic tiles. Leading through the living space at the far end is a separate annexed studio area, perfect for overspill, complete with sofas, wood-burner, 4-seater dining table and kitchenette. Carrying on the impressive contemporary-meets-traditional feel of the property, this additional studio space homes a hidden attic single bedroom- found at the top of a quirky built-in staircase- plus a fully-equipped shower room and toilet, making it great for teens or older guests in search of a little privacy. Bedrooms 7 bedrooms can be found throughout the property, sleeping up to 10 adults and 4 children comfortably: Master Bedroom Tucked away down a book-lined corridor along from the entrance hall is the Master Bedroom, benefitting from a sink-in super king bed, en-suite shower room and French doors opening directly onto the property’s sheltered front garden. In here, the owners’ passion for art shines through the painted mural wall behind the bed; hand-painted by owner Rowan as an homage to her family home in southern India. A stand-alone crib also fits comfortably at the foot of bed for those travelling with babies. Bedroom 2 Found through a unique stable-door just off the entrance hall, Bedroom 2 homes a king-sized bed (configurable as a twin) and bright, Moroccan-inspired interiors, evident through its sparkling lantern lights, cool blue hues and pretty, tiled wardrobe. We love the roll-top bath taking pride of place in the room itself, plus there’s a handy en-suite toilet room, too. Bedrooms 3 - 5 Hidden behind a secret cupboard door in the entrance hall sit three further bedrooms, all benefitting from their own shared family bathroom. Bedroom 3 is great for adults, with its king-sized bed and French doors leading directly onto the garden, whilst Bedroom 4 can be used for big kids or those who don’t mind sharing thanks to its twin-bed setup. Bedroom 5 is definitely best for younger guests, with full-sized bunk beds, a great toy collection and plenty of space for playing, plus its own set of French doors leading onto the grounds. Bedroom 6 A den-lover’s dream, Bedroom 6 is perfect for younger guests or adults who don’t mind a bit of a squeeze. Able to accommodate up to two guests on two mattress-beds (one single, one small double), one is hidden in the rafters up a small wooden ladder; perfect for mini-explorers in search of a hideaway. Located just off the entrance hall, the Rudyard Kipling-esque wallpaper will speak to book-lovers of all ages and it’s perfect to use as a study for those who need a little peace and quiet. Studio Bedroom Another great room for intrepid explorers, this small annex room, sleeping one on a single mattress-bed, is hidden away up a flight of steep wooden stairs in the studio; great for teens and agile adults, not so great for those less mobile. The studio also homes a sofa bed which can accommodate two if needed. Be warned, the sky lights have no blinds on them, so it’s best for early-risers! What’s Outside Brock Cottage offers blissful seclusion by the bucketful thanks to its rural location and sweeping one-acre garden, surrounding the property like a pretty, green cocoon. Mostly lawned (great for kids wanting to stretch their legs), mature trees and shrubbery reward the garden with complete privacy, with a trampoline and swing to keep little ones happy for hours. The cottage’s rear garden, accessed through the kitchen/diner’s sliding doors, also benefits from a large paved dining area complete with outdoor dining table and charcoal BBQ; sheltered from the elements by a wisteria-strewn pergola.
Eating Brock Cottage is located just a short 5-minute drive from the village of Kingham, renowned as the Cotswolds’ newest foodie hotspot thanks to its two excellent, award-winning restaurants - The Kingham Plough and The Wild Rabbit Inn – both well worth a visit. The King’s Head in Bledington offers tasty, seasonal food in a picture-perfect setting just a 2-minute car journey (or slightly longer walk) from Brock Cottage, whilst high-end hangout and favourite of the jet-set, Daylesford Farmshop and Café, is also just an 8-minute car journey, with a delicious all-day dining menu. For those wanting to venture slightly further afield, we’d highly recommend a visit to Stow-on-the-Wold, a pretty market town just 5 miles down the road that packs a punch when it comes to culinary credentials. Check out The Porch House, a 10th century inn in the heart of the town with good beer and a great lunch menu, before heading to The Old Butchers for dinner; a Michelin Guide must-visit where pre-booking is definitely recommended. Walking Somewhat of a walker’s paradise, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to exploring the Cotswolds on foot from Brock Cottage. The cottage itself sits within Foxholes Nature Reserve, awarding stunning woodland walks right from the doorstep, bursting to life with carpets of bluebells in the Spring. The Oxfordshire Way- winding all the way from Bourton-on-the-Water to the banks of the River Thames in Henley- also passes directly through Foscot; a great option for those keen to join the trail. We’d recommend the 6-mile round-trip from Foscot to Churchill, passing through streams and meadows with a handy stop-off at The Chequers pub for delicious sustenance half-way round. Must-Sees The Cotswolds is jam-packed full of attractions to keep visitors of all ages entertained. For younger guests, a visit to Cotswold Farm Park (20-minute drive) and Cotswold Wildlife Park (20-minute drive) are a must, with the Cotswold Water Park (40-minute drive) the perfect place to head on hot-weather days. For older generations, Chastleton House National Trust property is just 15 minutes away, and we’d recommend that no visit to this area be without a day exploring the pretty surrounding market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water; both renowned for their quaint independent stores, cutesy-cafés and quintessentially-Cotswolds good looks. Daylesford Farmshop and Café is also a must-visit - a beautiful destination store in its own right - crammed to the brim with high-end, artisan produce, delicious deli treats and an impressive restaurant. Just be sure to allow a few hours there; we don’t know anyone who hasn’t been mesmerised by this country-chic hangout.

At the heart of the Cotswolds' famous 'golden triangle,' The Corner House is a Grade II listed, quintessential thatched cottage, built in 1544 and located in Kingham, voted “England’s Best Village.” It sleeps up to 5 guests in 3 bedrooms (or 7 guests in 4 bedrooms for extra cost), has old-fashioned charm with mod cons, and is 2 mins walk from two award-winning gastro pubs and a great village shop. A mainline station takes you to the dreaming spires of Oxford or a wealth of other famous sights.
The Corner House is a real home from home, situated on a quiet cul-de-sac. You can host a fabulous dinner in the eat-in kitchen that seats 8, take a picturesque walk across the fields to the world-famous Daylesford farm shop, a 20 minute drive to Soho Farmhouse or simply curl up on one of the three squishy sofas in front of the open log fire. It's totally up to you. Downstairs, there's a large kitchen and separate living room, and a small utility room that leads out to a small rear patio. Upstairs are two double bedrooms (both with wardrobes,) a single bedroom and a bathroom with large bath and hand-held shower. (NB** There is another section of the house that is locked off, but this can be opened up if you need more space at extra cost. There is another large bedroom with Queen bed and en-suite shower room with his and hers basins.) At the front of the cottage is small garden with covered well, and the main garden (designed by Marion Ackrill of Chelsea Physic Garden) has a table and 8 chairs and is accessed across a small footpath outside the front door.
The Michelin-starred Wild Rabbit pub/restaurant is two minutes walk away, and so is the award-winning Kingham Plough. At both, you can either book a table for lunch or dinner, or simply enjoy delicious snacks in the bar areas. There is also The Mill House, an excellent pub just a 10 minute walk away. The famous, original Daylesford farm shop is a five minute drive, or you can use a pair of provided wellies and take a healthy, 15 minute walk there across the fields at the back of the cottage. Aside from the world class farm shop, there's a really buzzy restaurant there, a garden centre, a clothes shop and a beautiful spa for facials, massages etc. The picturesque Stow on the Wold is just four miles away, while Broadway, Cirencester, Woodstock and Stratford-upon-Avon are between a 30 and 40 minute drive through gorgeous scenery. You can also easily reach attractions like Blenheim Palace, Tewkesbury Abbey, the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens, the Royal Gardens at Highgrove in Tetbury (owned by Prince Charles) and Sudeley Castle. The area is known for the quality and beauty of its walks, and there are several paths that run through the village, including routes to Stow on the Wold, Bledington, Chipping Norton and Churchill.

Stunning 3 bed property situated in the pretty village of Kingham which has a little village shop as well the Daylesford Organic Farm Shop nearby. The village of Kingham is also home to two renowned pubs, The Wild Rabbit and The Kingham Plough. Kingham train station is within a 15 minute walk.
The Firs is a part time holiday rental, part time private home, so you will find some of the owners items which give the house some soul! Please be mindful and respectful of this fact, and treat The Firs as if it were your own. The Firs has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower room then there are two further double bedrooms which share a bathroom. Please note - there is no provision for twin beds or extra beds. If you are bringing an infant, you will need to bring a travel cot however a high chair can be provided.
  • Amazing house everything was thought of! Alice was so helpful in the run up to our trip and during the stay I would recommend the Firs to anyone so beautiful :)

  • Lovely, spacious, quirky house in a fantastic part of the Cotswolds, within easy reach of beautiful towns and villages and the Wildlife Park. We stayed with 6 adults, our 2 year old and our chocolate Labrador. There is everything you could possibly need at the house and it is beautifully decorated. Alice was very helpful with tips on things to do and dog friendly pubs. Would 100% recommend.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. It was spotlessly clean and the owners were very welcoming. Alice had left delicious breakfast things, fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding smelt divine! We spent the weekend strolling round the village and neighbouring countryside, browsing round Daylesford and then cooking in the super-well equipped kitchen while watching the kids play conkers in the garden. It was just what we needed for a weekend away in the country we hope to return! Many thanks.

  • Alice's house was warm and inviting and right in the middle of the beautiful village of Kingham. It is clean and has a great socialising space. The perfect place to get away with friends or family.

  • The Firs was the most perfect place to spend the weekend and a fantastic start to my Airbnb journey. The house was beautifully prepared with many thoughtful touches. Alice and Chris really did make it feel like a home away from home. We were desperate not to leave and cannot wait to go back.

  • The Firs is a beautiful place in a wonderful little village. We were two couples with kids. We loved the weekend we spent there and would love to come back, maybe even for a week. The garden is beautiful, there is a great terrace with a BBQ and if the weather is not dry or warm enough: the kitchen/dining room is very bright with its huge windows. And the living room comes with a hige TV and Sonos system to die for. And not only is the kitchen big - it is equipped with everything a chef cooking a christmas dinner would dream of. Amazing oven, great pans and pots - fantastic knives - heaven! Thank you Alice and Charlie for stocking up the fridge with fresh milk, bacon and eggs and amazing jams. Having great olive oil and spices there to use a bit of was more then wonderful - we so felt at home right away. Simply amazing. Rooms upstairs perfect and comfy, good water pressure - just great!

  • Without doubt the best Airbnb experience we've had to date. The house was just perfect in every way, and our hosts made us feel extremely welcome. The setting is lovely, perfect to explore the Cotswolds but also there's enough in the village to just park the car and settle in. Our son loved the table football and I'm sure we will find an excuse to visit Kingham again soon!

  • The Loft is a wonderfully quirky and beautiful place to stay. Everywhere was clean and tidy but it was the extra touches that really made this memorable; in particular the brownies on arrival and the very helpful guide to things to do and places to eat in and around chipping Norton. The deep bath was one of my highlights and the Nespresso machine was my partners (we now have to get one apparently) Communication with Emma was quick and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here and would happily choose here again as a base for exploring the Cotswolds.

We were made to feel very at home by Emma, who ensured that we had everything we needed and was a great host throughout our stay. Thanks Emma!

  • The Loft is a really beautiful and unusual apartment in a great location. We found it spotlessly clean and finished to a really high standard including the free standing bath & lovely bed linen. Emma gave us all the info we needed, check in & out was really straight forward & there was even a guide to the area. There was plenty of free parking in a big car park just near the apartment. We definitely recommend going to The Wild Rabbit for a drink or to eat in Kingham just less than 15 minutes away, it's a fantastic place Over all we loved the apartment & would recommend it

From the hotel quality furnishings to the super modern kitchen and bathroom fittings, you will not want or need for anything when you stay here. Emma made sure we were able to arrive easily and the extended check out time of 6pm was a real bonus for us. We would reccomend staying here to anyone wishing to explore the Cotswolds and will absolutely look to stay again.

• We have stayed at a lot of places in the Cotswolds and i have to say for a number of reasons this is the best one. The location is idyllic and extremely private. The hosts are friendly, helpful amusing and full of local recommendations that you won’t find on any websites. The property was incredibly well presented, there was local honey, fudge, and a few other treats. The decor was delightful and the log burner was used every day!! Locally there are beautiful walks, pubs, coffee shops and activities. Honestly, we will be back again and i could not give one single aspect that disappointed. BOOK IT.

  • We stayed for 3 days and had a wonderful time. Nigel and Laura were simply fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We took our 9 month old and they kindly provided a travel cot and some emergency bedding as I *ahem* forgot to bring our own. The cottage is stunning, perfect for either a couple or a family. I just wish we'd have stayed longer - wouldn't hesitate to return. Thanks again.
