Carlisle Lake District Airport is a 15 minute drive.
Due to the central location there are many eating establishments close by and 5 minutes walk from the late night bars and nightlife on Botchergate. There are excellent budget friendly home cooked lunches served in Oasis Cafe which is based in the church over the road. There are excellent entertainment facilities at The Sands Centre (10 min walk) The Old Fire Station (5 min walk) The Brickyard (10 min walk) and many others.     We have a warm and welcoming double bedroom and a lovely shared bathroom with towels, toiletries, a slipper bath and shower. The bedroom is private, on the second floor and with lots of light from a velux window (which also has a fitted blind!) You are very welcome to use the other facilities in our home. We have a cosy lounge with wood burning stove, a living room and kitchen with a well stocked fridge. You can help yourself to filter coffee, a range of teas and a variety of snacks.
    We live on a lovely tree lined street just a five minute walk away from Carlisle town centre and only a two minute stroll from the university Fusehill campus. We are also only five minutes from the river Eden and the Hadrian's wall coast to coast path.
  • Highly recommended. They are lovely, we were very comfortable all the time. The only downside for us is that we are not used to sharing the toilet with more than 5 people, although it was not many times we had to wait. Muy recomendables, son encantadores, simpaticos y muy serviciales, nos ayudaron y aconsejaron en todo lo que les pedimos. La unica pega para nosotros es que no estamos acostumbrados a compartir el aseo con mas de 5 personas, pese a que solo fueron un par de veces las que tuvimos que esperar.

  • Cuando visite Carlisle, definitivamente recomiendo alojarse en el lugar de Mark y Maura. Es una casa encantadora con mucho carácter y una habitación acogedora, limpia y cómoda. Dormí muy bien las dos noches que estuve aquí (encantadora y tranquila también). Mark y Maura son increíblemente acogedores, amables y geniales con la comunicación. Me dejaron una buena selección de pedacitos de desayuno, que fue un toque encantador. Excelente ubicación, fácil de caminar por todas partes en la ciudad. Gran valor para el dinero.

    A lovely traditional, Grade 2 listed, 2 Bed terrace, only a short walk from the City Centre with 2 1st floor bedrooms and bathroom with shower. Fibre WiFi covers the whole house and both bedrooms come with dbl bed and TV.
    To the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms complete with double bed, TV, wardrobe and drawer space. The light and nicely proportioned 1st floor bathroom comes with an electric shower over the bath. The good sized Living/Dining Room has comfortable seating for 4 wheather you're eating, relaxing in front of the TV or enjoying the comprehensive WiFi coverage on your phone. Its small but fully equipped kitchen has everything you'd need to prepare and cook a Gourmet Sunday Lunch. There is a small utility room off the living room which houses the washer dryer, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and first aid kit. The house has recently been renovated and has a wired in Carbon Monoxide Detector and linked Smoke and Heat Detectors. There is also a 2kg Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher and Fire Blanket in the kitchen. Cyclists - The back yard is shared with other properties but there is plenty of space within the house to store your bikes safety. Please let us know if you plan to do this and we will supply extra towels so you can wipe down your bikes.
    The "Great Border City" centre is only a short walk away, as are the Tourist Attractions, Green Spaces, Supermarkets and Entertainment. Carlisle existed long before the Romans arrived in Britain and sits on The Roman Wall, a "World Heritage Site". We have been fought over by Scots, Romans, Vikings, Normans and Scots again. We have a proud Religious, Industrial and Military history, all of which can be experienced within a short walk of each other at Carlisle Cathedral, Tullie House (museum) and Carlisle Castle. There has been religious activity at the site of our 900yr old Cathedral for well over 1000yrs. As Carlisle Castle approaches its 1000th birthday, it still holds the title of the most besieged Castle in Britain and once held Mary Queen of Scots as prisoner. Be sure to locate "The Licking Stones" in the dungeon when you visit. If you are a Lord of the Rings fan you could visit Kingmore Nature Reserve North, for a walk and see the area where the "Greymore Ring" was discovered in 1817. The ring now resides in the British Museum and is believed to be the inspiration for JRR Tolkien's ring. Kingmore Nature Reserve follows the course of one of the country's great railway lines, which for over 100yrs carried passengers between Carlisle and Edinburgh. The Waverly Line was so called because it ran through the romantic and beautiful countryside immortalised by Sir Walter Scott in his "Waverly" novels. We are home to the world famous Carr's Water Biscuits and make millions of Ginger Snaps and Custard Creams every year. While you are wandering around the city centre try and locate the clock tower. It only has 3 faces; East, West and South. Legend has it that there's no North face because the man who donated it to the city would not give the Scots "The time of day". All this sight seeing can be tiring so why not seek refreshment in one of the the pubs that was nationalised by the Government for 57yrs between 1916 and 1973 under the "State Management Scheme". They were nationalised during WW1 to aid the war effort by combating drunkenness among the munition workers. Located close to the University of Cumbria, we have been used by: - Families looking at the University. - Couples/families on "City Breaks". - Those who are just passing through on their way North or South. - As a base to explore The Lake District (World Heritage Site) or the Scottish Borders to the North. - As a resting point for those walking Hadrian's Wall (World Heritage Site). - Contractors on short and not so short contracts. - Cyclists passing through on various routs.

    Just a short walk from Carlisle railway station and the city centre (10 minutes from M6 junction 43) our location is an ideal base for exploring the historic border city with its castle, cathedral, museum and many excellent restaurants and bars. Our house is a newly refurbished Victorian terrace comprising of sitting room, dining room and fully fitted kitchen. Stairs lead to a large bathroom with separate shower cubicle, 1 king and 1 double bedroom. Please note: As with many properties this close to the city centre, parking restrictions apply. Free on-street parking is available 8pm to 8am, outside these times you can park for 2 hours with a disk (we will supply these for you). There are 24 hour car parks within a short walk.

Espacioso e impecablemente limpio y simple pero bellamente decorado, el lugar de Mark tiene todo lo que necesita para una estadía. También hay un pequeño y agradable espacio exterior con sillas y mesas y un espacio de estacionamiento para automóviles detrás de la casa (SI tiene un automóvil más pequeño y usted es un conductor seguro, ya que es un poco apretujado). I live here with my husband and two children. Three of our Luxurious ensuite bedrooms, Tyan, Tethera and Methera, are available for guests to stay.
    Methera is an ensuite bedroom with a double bed. There is added comfort of underfloor heating in your ensuite shower room. Your stay includes complimentary continental breakfast in your room, with all you need fresh from your own fridge. Tea, Coffee & Hot Chocolate, cereals & homemade treats also provided.
    Our Neighbourhood is a mixture of large residential town houses, some of which have now been converted into doctors, dentists & offices, whilst some have been kept as residential. We are a short walk from the city restaurants and bars, but far enough not to be disturbed by them!     The Old Wool House Apartments are beautiful and contemporary apartments in the heart of Carlisle City Centre. Ideally located very close to bars, restaurants, shops and Carlisle train station. There are four apartments in total. Each apartment can accommodate up to four guests. The apartments are very popular with guests visiting Carlisle for a short trip and Hadrian’s Wall.
    The apartment has been tastefully decorated throughout, giving a fresh and clean feel. The separate bedroom which has an extremely comfortable huge super king size bed with top quality hotel bedding, bespoke fitted furniture, a flat screen TV and a hairdryer. The lounge is open plan and has a very comfortable sofa which converts into a sofa bed with a deluxe mattress, allowing up to four guests to sleep in the apartment.     The Great Border City is located on the doorstep of both the Lake District and the Scottish Borders. Warwick Square is a quiet tree lined street within walking distance of the City centre and the myriad of visitor attractions, bars and restaurants.

Piso muy bien acabado, decoración sutil y moderna cocina y baño. Perfecto para acceder fácilmente al centro de la estación, restaurantes y cine. Estuve aquí por trabajo, así que el wifi y la barra de desayuno para trabajar fueron muy apreciados, junto con el pan y la leche, etc. Aceite, sal, pimienta, té, café y azúcar en los armarios también. Cama realmente cómoda, ducha increíble, secador de pelo decente y plancha, todo para hacer que mi estadía sea muy cómoda y definitivamente regresaría y lo recomendaría a mis colegas

  • El lugar de Frank era espacioso, cómodo, bien decorado y tenía una cocina bien equipada. Me encantó la ducha de lluvia y los medallones de yeso de época en el techo. Estuvimos muy felices de ver una barra de pan, mantequilla, mermelada, cereales y leche cuando llegamos tarde, no necesitamos un viaje a Tesco. Estaba muy bien ubicado para la estación de tren, tiendas y restaurantes. Me alojaría aquí de nuevo.

    45 Cecil Street is a welcoming home located in the heart of the great Border City Carlisle. Located just 5 minutes walk away from the train station it provides a great base for anyone visiting the city or the surrounding area. Our home has a ground floor courtyard and kitchen and on the first floor you will find the living room, 2 bedrooms and the bathroom. The whole house is available to our guests during their stay and while we cant provide private parking there are 2 car parks just nearby.
    Carlisle has many great attractions nearby such as Hadrian's Wall, the picturesque Lake District, the Cathedral and Castle and the Tullie House Museum. Carlisle also has a busy city shopping centre with a wide range of choices and the Gretna Outlet village is only 10 miles away for those who like to get big brands at a discount.

    Welcome to our home! This cosy 1 bedroom house is a short walk from Carlisle train station (10mins) and the town centre (15mins). We live here and work away so you will have private access to the entire house. The location is great for accessing Hadrians Wall, the Lake District and is very close to Scotland. The university is close by so a great place to stay for graduations. There is also a bustling town centre, a castle and a cathedral to explore in Carlisle so there is lots to see and do!
    A traditional terraced house on a quiet street, our 1 bedroom home is cosy and convenient. You'll have access to all the usual kitchen equipment and there is a large supermarket 5mins walk away. There is also parking outside (visitor permit required).
    Carlisle is a city Cumbria with loads of history. The house is in a mixed residential area, lots of terraced houses and cobbled streets. There is a primary school in the next street and the University is close by. Botchergate is a 10min walk away where there are lots of pubs and places to eat.

    Rosalind House is a city centre, grade 2 listed town house in the Great Border City of Carlisle, just 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes walk off Hadrian's Wall Path & The Cumbrian Way. I live here with my husband and two children. Three of our luxurious ensuite bedrooms, Tyan, Tethera and Methera, are available for guests to stay.
    Tethera is an ensuite bedroom with a king size bed. Also there is an option of having up to two ready beds for children (up to the age of 16) to make it into a family room for an additional cost of £7 per child.     Rosalind House was built in 1832 and is a stones throw from the centre of Carlisle. We are close to leafy walks in Bitts and Rickerby Park. Historic Carlisle Cathedral and Carlisle Castle are a short walk away. Brunton Park, home of Carlisle United is just a little further down our street. Our neighbourhood is a mixture of large residential town houses, some of which have now been converted into doctors, dentists & offices, whilst others kept as residential. We are a short walk from the city restaurants and bars, but far enough not to be disturbed by them! We have Fusehill Street Campus of University of Cumbria just down the road, the Brampton Road Campus is within walking distance too.
