Had a wonderful and comfortable 3D2N stay at Gayle's apartment. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. It is also in a great location to explore Newcastle and the Mourne Mountains area. Surroundings were also peaceful, quiet and safe. Gayle was also very kind to accommodate our early check-in, offered to send us to Newcastle for our trek, and even gave us a lift back to Belfast on our last day. Gayle also gave us amazing recommendations for seafood in Dundrum and Newcastle, which really ended our stay on a high. Will definitely recommend her place!

Our stay in the idyllic coastal village of Dundrum could not have been better with our 9month old baby. The house is modern, clean and bright and very quickly feels like home with the comfy sofa and cosy beds. Just a few minutes walk from the coastal path, Dundrum castle or the Mourne Seafood Bar, there is plenty to enjoy from your doorstep. Jason responded immediately to msgs in the run up to our our trip and kindly provided a sturdy high chair for our wee one. Thank you so much for a memorable holiday- we loved it!

Me alojé por un mes feliz en lugar de Maggie y Mike en Dundrum. Cuando llegué Mike amablemente me recibió en la parada de autobús y recibí una cálida bienvenida de Maggie también. We spent two nice quiet nights in a home full of character. Margaret was very helpful and caring. The ruins of a castle with a spectacular view of the sea and mountains is only a short walk away. There was also a nice cafe for breakfast and a good fish bar for dinner.

We stayed there for 3 days during the Christmas holidays. Many other Airbnb accommodations were not available during the holidays (it seems natural though....), but Chris kindly accepted my request although he was busy in spending time with his family on my check-in day. The two-story flat was so clean and comfortable. It was equipped with all amenities and we really enjoyed our stay there feeling like living in a gorgeous house. After all it was perfect place for us to spend the Christmas holidays. It's close to a supermarket, a pub, and a restaurant, and near the sea as well. There's a path along the coastline. I recommend this place for relaxed holidays.

Acabamos de pasar un maravilloso 2 días en la cabaña con nuestros dos hijos (11 y 7). Hay paseos preciosos a lo largo de la reserva natural de Murlough y en el pueblo de juegos de billar y una gran comida familiar en el Dundrum Inn. Yo quería algo especial para mi esposo 50 y su cabaña de troncos maravillosa era perfecta. Grande, espaciosa, con todo lo necesario y con la mejor de las duchas y las camas más cómodas! La paz y la tranquilidad del lugar se aseguraron de que verdaderamente relajado y con 2 pequeños no creía que eso fuera posible! dundrum en sí es pequeño pero perfectamente formado, el castillo tiene excelentes vistas y éramos las únicas personas en la playa dos días fuimos. bar de mariscos Mourne era delicioso y amado que podíamos caminar a la calle principal o a través del puente a la reserva nacional de confianza sin utilizar el coche. Hicimos excursiones de un día a Tollymore Forest Park y Strangford Lough. Nuestra base en la cabaña en Dundrum era perfecto. Lo recomendaría a cualquiera que se aloje en esta zona.

Amanda's apartment was located upstairs next door to her pub. It was convenient to local walks and Dundrum Castle which offers fantastic views of the area on a fine day. She was a good host.

Amanda's home is a fantastic place to stay in Dundrum. The room was absolutely spotless with a lovely comfy bed. We really appreciated the wee extras like water and cereal/yoghurt/orange juice for breakfast. Amanda was a fab host and made us feel very welcome nothing was too much bother.

Well located above the Dundrum Inn, we were able to get parked right outside. Good sized room with a kettle and mini fridge (but no toaster). Amanda had stocked the fridge with water, orange juice, milk and yogurt. There was also tea, coffee, bread rolls and cereals for the morning. No sofa in the apartment as it is compact, but two chairs, the bed was very comfortable too. Good sized bathroom with walk in shower, however only one set of towels for two of us (which worked fine for boyfriend and myself), another set would have been handy. Great shutters so the room was nice and dark. Also quite for being on the main road! We were very happy with the value, cleanliness and quality of the apartment and had a lovely stay! Thankyou!

Perfect stay. The place only deviates from the pictures in that it is even better in real life! The apartment was spacious and airy yet warm and welcoming. It was very clean, and had everything that we needed. There were 4 of us, but room for more. The location is fantastic - a couple of minutes walk from 2 fantastic restaurants, plus a chippy. Dundrum castle remains were just a walk up a hill. Newcastle isn't far away, neither are the stunning Mourne mountains, Carlingford Lough, Belfast... The view from the apartment is really wonderful - obviously weather-dependent to a degree, but still fantastic. We spent two days there but we could have spent many more there. Janet was easily reached by phone or email and was happy and able to assist us with queries.

We were so happy with our stay in Dundrum. The apartment is beautifully furnished with lots of art to add character. The views are sensational. The location was perfect for the amenities of Dundrum. Janet was an excellent and communicative host. We hope to stay many more times in the future.

We stayed 1 week at Janet's fabulous apartment. The apartment is perfectly located at the first floor of a 3 floor building with 180 degrees views of the bay as well as the Mourne mountains. In the morning the sunrise is visible from the master bedroom. In the evening the sunset is fully visible from the living room and terrace. With the changing weather conditions this provides fantastic views. Within walking distance from the apartment there is a gas station, a supermarket, a few pubs, a chippie as well as Dundrum castle. With a car the Mourne mountains can be reached in 15 minutes and Belfast is only 40 minutes drive. The apartment itself was very clean, tastefully decorated and with comfy double beds and large sofa. The kitchen is well equipped. We would love to stay again.

Gayle and her family were fantastic hosts and made me feel at home. When I arrived, I hadn't eaten all day and Gayle cooked me an omelette, which was incredibly nice and exactly what I needed. She also gave me a tour of the town and made sure I knew where media parking was for the Irish Open. In the evenings, she offered to give me a ride into town on several occasions, which was very kind and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to stay with Gayle and her family again.

Communication with Gayle was very easy and she answered my questions before booking. Before we arrived, she sent me directions to follow to find his house. Her house is located on the heights of Dundrum in a quiet residential area, within walking distance from the city center. Upon arrival, Gayle welcomed us very nicely, presented his family (and dogs) and we discussed with them over tea. We felt like home. The room is very spacious and light and offers beautiful then as new bathroom. There was even a hair dryer which is a nice touch. We spent a very good night. Gayle was good advice to find us a pub serving traditional food and even phoned for us. At breakfast, we had the pleasure to chat with her and she even agreed to print our plane tickets. One of our best experiences Airbnb. Definitely recommended. Gayle thank you.

This is a super clean, homely, welcoming house which was really well equipped and perfectly situated. The local area to the house is immense and we had a super welcome in person from Pauline. We would definitely like to come back to this house again next time we stay in Dundrum.

house located in a very nice area. Dorothy was very kind with us providing all sort of information and activities to do nearby. She also helped us to book a table in a very good restaurant. The only critic I could do is that there is not internet connection but all the previous information that we received from Dorothy was enough to plan our activities. I would definitely come back. Dorothy is a lovely host, very friendly and helpful. Showed us everything we might need. Stocked up the fridge for breakfast as we were going to a wedding early the next morning. The house was really comfortable. There was parking at the back for 2-3 rental cars. Very easy to find the house. Dundrum and Newcastle were lovely in the sunshine. Would definately stay again if need to! Dorothy advised us there was no wifi, we didnt need it as we were going to a wedding.

Dorothy was a fantastic host. She was waiting for us to arrive even though we were over an hour late, delayed in traffic. She made us feel welcome and put us right at ease by offering us a glass of wine. She showed us around her home and explained all essential information to us. There was some well chosen items in the fridge and also a welcome basket with treats and snacks. She went through the information that she had gathered for us on things to do and places to see and we found this very useful during our stay. The house was beautifully decorated and very very clean - it was absolutely perfect for our stay - we loved every minute there.

We had a lovely stay. The Location was perfect for us we climbed Donard on the Saturday. Great house with loads of space. Local restaurants and pubs was excellent. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

We had such a lovely break at Dorothy's house in Dundrum! The house was beautiful, and spotlessly clean, and the welcome basket and treats in the fridge a very thoughful touch. Dorothy was so welcoming on arrival and had great recommendations for things to do and where to eat in the area. The house was well placed for a pleasant walk up to Dundrum Castle as well as easy of the Bucks Head and,of course, the amazing Brennan's ice cream shop!! 10 mins drive from Newcastle and castlewellan. Overall very impressed and would definitely recommend! Thank you Dorothy!!

I would recommend staying at Dorothy's house. It is located a short walk from restaurants and shops in Dundrum and beautiful views over Dundrum Bay from Dundrum Castle. It is a great base for accessing the Mourne Mountains. The accommodation was clean and well equipped, including wifi. Dorothy was very friendly and provided plenty of good advice on local facilities and walks. We enjoyed playing the family board games and reading the books about nearby walks.

It was a warm welcome by John. We had a good time. The location was awesome and excellent. The rooms are bigger and everything was available. The outer scenery was marvelous. The master bedroom has the sea view. Overall a beautiful experience. We would like to visit again.

Great location for such a beautiful apartment, especially for exploring in and around the mountains of mourne. Silent valley well worth a visit, absolutely stunning. We spent 3 nights at johns after 4 hectic days of driving to and from the south. The apartment far exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect place to end our week, trust me! We didn't want to come home!

We had a lovely time at The Quay. John is a very accommodating host and the apartment is great, especially for a small group of friends. We stayed two nights in this lovely apartment which has amazing views over the bay and mountains. The apartment was well equipped with towels, hairdryer, welcome pack, everything we needed for a home to home stay. We had a great meal in The Bucks Head which is only a two minute walk away and well worth a visit and spent a relaxing afternoon in The Spa at the Slieve Donald Hotel Newcastle. Andrea our host was very helpful and was quick to respond to any of our queries. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return again in the not to distant future.

I had a good night in Arlene's house, clean and quiet place, I recommend if you are travelling around. I see that other people liked Arlene's breakfast, and I confirm that it was really good! :)

My brother and I stayed here in August, 2016 when we visited the area for a 3 day golfing event. The location was perfect, only 10 minutes from Newcastle and Royal Co. Down Golf Club. Arlene was a great host during our stay. Our twin room was clean and had everything you would expect in a quality B&B. Breakfast was a selection of cereal, fruit, yogurt etc. and a traditional Irish breakfast. We were also surprised to find two good restaurants 5 minutes walk away in Dundrum. I would recommend this B&B to anyone planning on staying in the area. If you're planning a golf trip to the northeast of the country and don't want to break the bank on accommodation, you can't go wrong staying at the Arley House B&B.

We had a most enjoyable stay in this extremely spacious, late-Georgian house, right in the heart of Dundrum, yet very close to the shore's edge. Rooms have loads of character and the whole place feels very homely. Excellent value for money for our family group of eight!

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse i detta vackra hus. Två vardagsrum, stort kök och separat matsal betydde att det fanns mer än tillräckligt med utrymme för att vi skulle kunna njuta av våra nyårsfester. Sovrummen var stora och huset var briljant utrustade. Ingången till lägenheten är lite av att sätta men när du når första våningen där vardagsrummet är, blir det uppenbart att det är en utmärkt lägenhet.

The accommodation is good for a family gathering and Karen and Pat are very friendly and accommodating. However, I feel there are areas for improvement such as terrace which wasn't very clean. BBQ and wifi didn't work. No obvious place to put rubbish out and there was no way the hot water would accommodate showers for a full house of 9. My main issue with the above is that I think it's over- priced, notwithstanding we had a great time.

Beautiful house and nice private bedrooms and bathrooms.

Galye's home is a lovely place to stop if you are in the Dundrum/Newcastle area. It is very close to everything. The rooms are spotless, beds are very comfortable and it is in a very quiet area, which made for a very good night's sleep. We were even sent on our way with a good breakfast to start our day! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again! Thanks Galye and family!

Gayle felt like a long-time friend or sister, making our stay comfortable and fun in every way possible, from offering us tea and snacks on arrival to making dinner reservations at a lovely, nearby restaurant. She even drove us to the restaurant so that we could take a taxi back if we decided to have drinks. We were exhausted and jet-lagged however and fell gratefully into the most comfortable beds possible!
