  • Stef was great to work with, very responsive and informative. She arranged everything for us from the pickup at hotel, transportation to the boat and everything for our return back to Panama City. Our host was great. Carlos was well traveled and made a great host. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable even when my wife did not feel well.

    Heath2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay with Gabriel as our captain on a 37-ft sailboat for five days. The seas weren't "rocky" but they weren't absolutely calm when sailing between islands, which gave my wife a bit of nausea since she has some seasickness (it get better after the second day) but otherwise it was a dream trip. Stef was GREAT in arranging it all!

  • This group of traveling nomads are living on different boats around the San Blas Islands. We stayed with captain Ornella on her boat the Santa Maria and her staffmember Lorena. And in one word our trip was amazing. And it was not only made by the surrounding of beautifull Islands, with their white sandy beaches, amazing snorkel spots and friendly Kunya people. It were the host's that made our stay complete and excellent. The transport (taxi and watertaxi) to the boat was arranged as told. And allready when we arrived breakfast was ready and Ornella explained everything about the boat and the upcoming days in a familiar way. Rideaway we felt welcome and at home. The boat had 2 cabins and kitchen area. The stear in the middle seperated both cabins so we felt private if we wanted to. Ornella showed us the best reefs to snorkel, introduced us to the Kunya people and explained lot's of their history and culture. Not only she is an excellent saylor and host. She prepared us delicous meals and there was always enough on board. We can highly recommend to stay on the Santa Maria. Thank you Ornella and Lorena for making our trip to San Blas more then we could ever dream of.

  • The trip with Capitan Andres was a very unique, amazing and absolutely special experience. Pick up was very easy and well organized and the boat was fantastic. Capitan Andres spoiled us with fresh Lobster, fish and did everything for us to feel at home. We went harpoon fishing, snorkelling and he showed us the best places for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The boat was totally clean and tidy and we always had the feeling that he took great care of us and knew what he was doing and where to go. Forget the Maldives, check in with Capitan Andres on his boat for a few days at San-Blas Islands.

    Julia2014-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ornella was the best Captain/host anyone could ask for! Passionate, exuberant, knowledgeable and super fun. She did a wonderful job balancing sailing and socializing and at all times she and her chef Manon (Manu) kept our bellies and glasses full. Making us feel welcome but also giving us space (a romantic dinner for two while the crew head off to another boat for the evening? How lovely!). They were open to anything we wanted to do but had the perfect plan laid out for our two day sail around the San Blas. I think my favourite part of the whole experience was witnessing Ornella and Olli spear fish while snorkling in the reef followed by the freshest and most delicious ceviche I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. It certainly didn't hurt that we had the ideal weather for sailing, even in the heart of the rainy season. What a perfect couple of days on the sea!

    Laura2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time in Panama and it was in large part to our experience on the Ananda Lahari! I thought Gabriel and Ornella were great hosts! They are a very welcoming and laid back couple who have made San Blas their home. They gave us a small glimpse of what it's like living your life at sea. They know all the islands and many of the indigenous tribes people, the Kuna. It was like visiting friends who moved to a new city and they are showing you around town. They love San Blas and are passionate about showing you what makes this place so great. Our days were filled with swimming, relaxing on the boat with food/drinks, visiting and learning about the Kuna, snorkeling, exploring small islands, perfect sunsets and just sailing around wherever our hearts desired! As far as the boat goes, it was a really cool smaller sail boat that only holds 4-6 people. It's not like staying on some big yacht with lots of space and lavish amenities. You are going sailing with a couple on their private boat but they make sure that you feel right at home. You can help yourself to anything they have. Staying with them in close quarters like this allows you to get to know them better too. I think this makes it a more personal and truly unique vacation/adventure experience. Their boat was always well stocked with plenty to eat and drink. Gabriel also speared some fish and Ornella cooked it on the boat. She is like a grandma, always worried about making sure you're well fed with a beer in your hand and happy :) The islands and sea there are absolutely amazing... A truly picture perfect paradise! We also had the chance to meet Stef, the Rep for I travel By Boat, and she helped iron out a few kinks we had in our itinerary. She was very helpful and nice! I would recommend I Travel By Boat and staying on the Ananda Lahari to any of my friends. Thank you to all of them!!... I will definitely be back!!!

    Andres2014-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • The communication with Stephanie was easy, punctual and clear! She gaves us all the information and facilities we needed for the journey towards the boat! We were 3 adults and a 1 year old baby! The experience on the boat was fantastic ... more than we expected! We felt welcome on the boat and even if the space is limited, Gabriel (captain) and Kiko gave us the space we needed. I was delightful to share time with them (really). The food they cooked was just delicious (fresh sea food and fish, fruits, wine, coco water...). We had the proximity with the natives ''Kuna" and their amazing islands. We sailed around breath taking landscapes. It was a rejuvenated experience and we will certainly come back! Thanks to all the cocosailing team!

    elsa2015-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Hibiscus House was a great place to stay. Allan was not there, but Karen and their sweet dog Nina were awesome hosts, picked us from the 'airport' and gave us a quick tour of the island. She let us check in early and had a golf cart for us to rent (which was fabulous and enhanced our island experience). Clean room, ample towels, hot water, great breakfast...what more can you ask for! We truly had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

    Ben And Erika2014-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice time at Hibiscus House. Ilene, who was managing the house, was absolutely wonderful and made us feel right at home. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thanks! FYI be sure to have a golf cart lined up to rent on the island!

    Elise2016-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We found the Hibiscus House absolutely lovely! And Sandra(manager) really made the whole experience super! She met us at the Ferry and brought us to our new home -and at the end of our stay also gave us a ride to the Ferry ....helped us with whatever we needed - the B&B was a good experience and the breakfasts were very nice. So go , enjoy, you wont be disappointed!

    Shelley2014-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay at Hibiscus House! Our room was spacious, air conditioned and provided plenty of privacy. Breakfast was fresh and flavorful. We were thankful that filtered water was provided as well. Terry was waiting for us when the ferry arrived and gave us a tour of the island. We were able to rent an adorable electric golf cart each day, which was helpful to navigate to beaches and restaurants. The only negative was that our ride was 30 minutes late to pick us up for ferry return and we almost missed the boat. Overall, I highly recommend!

    Taylor2017-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Allan did a wonderful job during our stay. He was there to pick us up from the ferry and provided cold beverages as our welcome cocktails. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful. provided golf carts at excellent price compared to other rental places. gave us great advice on where to eat and which beaches to go to at depending on tides and other local info. very accomodating with young children. would definitely stay with allan in the future.

Buena comida. Voy a volver.

    Francisco2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very nice stay. The island is a pure paradise just like all the San blas islands. Like it is said in the description it is very rustical and the bathrooms are not comparable to the ones in hotels. But we enjoyed every single second :)

    Annika2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Four friends had the most amazing stay in San Blas. A truly beautiful place. The island is stunning, you can easily feel a million miles from reality. White sand beaches, decent snorkelling and crystal blue sea. We experienced everything from fantastic electrical storms at night to blazing sun in the day. The island is remote and basic but there is electricity, running water and a toilet (better than most others). The showers have the most unbelievable views. The food was mostly good with the odd terrible meal and excellent one to keep us guessing. We brought snacks and drinks and were grateful for some use of the fridge. The day trip included in the price was well worth it - snorkelling in two different locations. If you are looking for no frills paradise this is it. We loved it and plan to come back!

    Beatrice2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was wonderful and the hosts were very welcoming. Only issue I had was that I didn't know the snorkeling excursions were $30/p.p. but that's my fault for not practicing enough Spanish ahead of time. Regardless of the cost the trips were totally worth the price. The snorkeling on the coral reef / mangrove trip was incredible.

  • Beau , calme et décompression totale

    annie2017-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • There are no words to describe this rustic paradise. We almost don't want to write a review so people don't find out about it. The hosts were lovely and the community in general very welcoming. The island's beauty cannot be compared to anything else we have experienced before. The food was amazing, full of new flavours, and the portions were generous. Don't expect too much from the facilities, just embrace the place. If you are thinking about it, don't, just go.

  • Aaron, his family and crew were a joy to visit. This was our first time staying at an Airbnb after years of hosting one in our brownstone in NYC. We have just immigrated to Panama and are quite happy in our new country, especially getting to stay with such great folks in an amazing place. The other reviews covered everything well, I might just emphasize to be clear before you leave if you have any questions, they will get back to you promptly.

  • This island was paradise! It was so peaceful and the water so blue. I loved every minute being on the island. The huts had comfortable beds and nice linen. The wash closets were accessible The restaurant provided 3 delicious meals a day. The staff went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. It did take some time to commute from Panama City to San Blas, but Ogob coordinated the transfers for me. Once I got to the port, there was a boat waiting to take me to the island. It was a great adventure.

    Michael2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay here! The cabañas are basic and the toilets too, but the location is absolute paradise and the food was really delicious (even though the portions were a bit small for two hungry Europeans ;-)). Almost no English is spoken on the island, so brush up on your Spanish before coming here. We stayed five nights and could easily spend five more. Bring your snorkel because the waters around the island are full of life. All in all, a vacation I will recommend to all my friends.

    klavdija2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cabanas Ogob Nega was a wonderful place to relax and simply enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the surroundings. The cabins are rustic but mattresses were comfortable and the cabins offered privacy right on the beach. We had very breezy weather so did not experience any bugs (which was amazing!) but mosquito nets are provided. They provide 3 well portioned meals a day at around 7:30am, 12:30pm and 6:30pm consisting of fish, octopus or lobster, depending on availability of the days catch. They also offer salad and coconut rice or some some other starch which is all delicious. The island was large enough to find a quiet little beach even at peak season but small enough to walk around on a stroll. The staff were all welcoming though my limited spanish kept me from having much more than small talk conversations. They are keen to please. Also I highly recommend going to on the tour to Dog Island for world class snorkeling around the shipwreck or on the reef on the opposite side of the island. Bring your own snorkeling gear, wine and an open mind and you'll love this place as I did. Lastly, their volunteer staff are wonderful at responding to questions via Airbnb.

  • We had a blast at this beautiful thatched-roof paradise- perfect getaway from the noisy city and a unique experience of Campo life in Panama :)

  • Best location, best neighbours, best price..........a perfect base to explore the Pacific, San blas, Darien, and it is not quite far from Panama City.

  • The cabin is a slice of paradise for people who are searching a quiet and contemplative stay in the Panama beautiful countryside! We didn’t spend much time in the village, because the hammock calling was so loud :) We enjoyed to live with chickens around, and neighbours’ dogs, and many animals we actually had never seen before! You must be comfortable with crawling and flying bugs if you come there, but you will never forget the song of the rain when you were reading on the covered terrace or the hummed melody who came to your hears from the so lovable neighbours house...

  • We had a great time getting away from it all at Drew's place! The setting and the accomodations were ideal for our Halloween get-together/potluck, and we all had a great time in this isolated, picturesque locale.

  • This place is absolutely sublime. Two of us spent a blissful four days here in early December - relaxing, exploring, cooking, and relaxing some more. The cabin is beautiful and very rustic, with everything you need (and little more, which was great) - including a large covered porch with a gentle breeze, a comfy hammock, and a view of some of the most breathtaking landscape we'd ever seen. We had a car - which I would definitely recommend - and although we had plans early on to take day trips to beaches, etc, we quickly found ourselves choosing instead to stay nearby. Higueronal and Torti both have great shops (check out Daype Bakery just around the corner for wonderful breakfast pastries), and everyone is very friendly. It's an incredibly comfortable and enchanting place to be. Excursions into town and the nearby rainforest filled our days beautifully and had us back on the porch for the sunsets, which were spectacular every evening. Highly recommended - we hope to be back, and soon(URL HIDDEN)

  • 2 words, RUSTIC & FUN! We enjoyed our time here. The Darien is a very interesting place. If u like getting off the beaten track, and making your own entertainment, you will love it. If u r more of a luxury hotel type this isn't the place for you. Johnny Dominguez and his family ( the caretaker), were super nice and helpful. Took longer than we thought to get there, more like 3 hours, and I am not a big fan of Drews directions. Follow everything EXCEPT the part about seeing the cemetery on your left right before u turn on the street the house is on. It is very, very hard to c the cemetery even when u r looking for it. Instead pass the brewery ( also has Pepsi trucks) on the right, and then just a little past that on the left is a big white church, now get ready to c the cell tower, and turn left on the street right b 4 it. Thanks Drew!

  • We had a lovely stay at Drew's cabin! I recommend you to stay here a couple days to see the genuine Panamanian countryside. Our host Johnny showed us locally produced chocolate, coffee and honey, made by his family. We where horseback riding, swimming in a river with a kuna family that was very friendly.

  • I am very thankful to all the Gunas, specially Jonathan for this great experience at the San Blas islands. Excellent service and great follow up. definitely recommendable. I almost don't want to write this review so not many people would know about this hidden paradise! But they deserve it! This trip exceeded my expectations. Starting from the driver, the boat captain and all the Gunas that were so lovely and professional. Jonathan had excellent communication and organisation skills that made all the trip go smoothly. The food was so delicious and so fresh, the weather was phenomenal it is warm all year long and the water was just perfect. I got to see a starfish for the first time in my life and many other sea creatures I had never seen in my life before, there is abundance of corals everywhere. The rooms and toilets were always clean and there is a lot of space on this Island to have a nice walk and relax in a hammock. I managed to learn about the Gunas culture and see how they fished my meal as I decided to join them when they were going to the ocean to fish. I wish I could have stayed many more nights as this experience so far has been the best Ive had in my life. I would definitely recommend this to my loved ones. I highly recommend you stay at least 2 nights.

  • As advertised! This beautiful, remote island (Icodub) was everything we hoped for. We stayed in a cabin with a wooden floor and private washroom. We listened to the waves while we fell asleep. The island is clean, friendly and natural. The food is basic, and includes some processed items and lacks fruit/vegetables, but tasty enough (big portions!). Jonathan is an attentive host and takes care to educate travelers on what to expect on their visit. I also recommend the island tour - you can see a few other islands and visit a natural swimming pool. We feel blessed to have stayed on Icodub!

  • We had an amazing stay at San Blas for 4 days. We booked in last minute with Jonathan and he arranged everything from pickup in our hotel to drop off in our hotel 4 days later. The place is so beautiful and unbelievable when it is sunny. I highly recommend going during the weekdays, since you will have most of the island for yourself. During weekends you will see more tourists. And don't forget to bring books and games, because when it is raining there is absolutely nothing to do. And ask Jonathan to plan some snorkeling/island hopping trips. Then you will see some amazing beaches. Finally you should definitely bring some a lot of water and snacks, because there is nothing to buy out there except of water, soda and beers (2 dollars).

    Rodrigo2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our 6 days of August 16 on board of the rendezvous where absolutely amazing! Fabio, his wife Teresa and their lovely 1.5 year old baby are amazing hosts!!!! Fabio is a great captain, he is knowledgable of the area and the Kuna culture, he takes care of his boat which is in great state and has safety as a top of mind, always anchoring in safe spots and in control of every aspect of the boat, he spent almost an entire night awake taking care of the boat during a thunderstorm and always made us aware of safety tips. He speaks Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and some English, so you are well covered if you know any of this languages. Fabio helped us arrange transportation between the boat and the city, and explained the way Kuna cultures economy work. His lovely young wife Teresa is a great cook, she surprised us every single meal with something different and delicious, she made the most perfect pasta (of course, Fabio is Italian!) and Fabio made great, fresh, recently fished lobster (2lbs monster lobster!!!!), there was always beer on board, Moskato, rum, fresh fruit and then some... The boat is a 45 ft Salona with lots of space for being a boat. We had our own toilet and room, as well as space for our things. Keep In mind that life in a boat is no easy task and resources such as fresh water are limited, specially in the Kuna Yala region. Over all this was one of the nicest and largest sailboats in the region (except from catamarans) and it is in great shape. Also it can get VERY hot in the guest rooms at night, we recommend you to bring a small battery operated fan or 12v car fan to keep you cool. The boat has European contacts and electricity is 12v so make sure to bring the right chargers for your electronics. Now, let me answer the questions I wish someone had answered before. How many days is it ok to visit? We recommend any time between 3 to 7 days, any less is worthless, more gets complicated. How many people? We recommend 2 to 4, the rendezvous can accommodate up to 7 but if you plan to stay more than 3 days it becomes VERY complicated for more than 4 persons due to space and logistics. Is it romantic? I had the first 6 days of my honeymoon in San blas, judge by yourself, if you want quality romantic time with your significant other, San blas is a great place to be. I mean, what's better than being alone in an island in the middle of nowhere with no one to spy on you ;)? Kuna region, culture and economy The Kuna region is an alternate reality, different from every place you've ever seen, it's magical and mystical, the region is autonomous (independent) from Panama, they have their own rules and laws and here panama has NO power over what...

  • The time with the family was veramente bellissimo and especially also buonissimo! I will never forget the langoustine pasta, just that fresh out of the sea. I made this San Blas viaggio at the end of my backpack adventure, and so I was a bit exhausted, but after the four nights on the boat and the great care of Theresa and Fabio, I feel so relaxed again:) and bronzed from the sun, always nice! If you are going to visit San Blas and the Kuna Yala, I would recommend to go with this sailing trip, in this way you will see the most and also can relax at the same time.

  • Our trip with Capitan Fabio on his yacht was a phenomenal experience! He welcomed us aboard his ship and and set sail with us! We hit a total of 4-5 islands in 3 days! Each one was incredible! Fabio and his wife were so hospitable and made the most incredible meals for us breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our crew got fried from the sun. Definitely bring maximum strength sun screen! Our favorite part was waking up to the sun rising in the horizon and just sitting on the deck and watching the beautiful colors mixed with the crystal clear water! Fabio was SO funny! Two of the people in our group spoke Spanish and communication was just fine for them! I happily got along with a mix of Spanglish and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) translate. (For those wondering about service I had great coverage with Digicell the whole time) For anyone on the fence about staying on the islands or going the yacht route, do the yacht! You won't regret it!!!!

  • The experience we had with Captain Fabio was absolutely unforgettable! San Blas is one of the most beautiful, untouched places I've ever seen. Fabio's boat was an enjoyable way to navigate the islands without truly 'roughing it'. It has all the necessary amenities needed for a comfortable stay (i.e. comfortable beds, fans, bathroom, shower, enough space for 5-6 outside guests). Every single meal that Fabio and Theresa provided was above average, like being at a nice restaurant! They even went out of their way to arrange a hand built bon fire with us at one of the islands on New Years Eve. I could not think of a better way to have spent my holiday. My friends and I would 100% recommend this listing. It's challenging to communicate effectively but that is part of the fun. :) Once you're on the boat, all your cares go away!

  • Staying on an island is an unique experience! Having an almost private beach for yourself is a nice perk and the stars view during the night is amazing. The opportunity of staying offline and away from "regular life" was quite good also. Although simple, the cabins were comfortable, could fit large groups without an issue and had electricity available all the time. The meals were plentiful and good tasting. Jonathan was a great host, scheduling the pick up/drop off from Panama City and offering very detailed information of all steps, including recommendations of what to take to the island. I hope to comeback one day to San Blas for a longer stay, it was definitely worth it :)

We have a beautiful 41 foot (13 meters) sailboat named Perle that is ready to welcome you on board to discover the marvelous San Blas islands with us. It's a lovely remote and laidback place with clear water and white sand beaches around. An ideal place to chill and enjoy the peacefulness of this very unique area!
There is two double cabins, a saloon, two bathrooms, a nice cockpit and plenty of space on the deck where we hang a hammock for you to relax. At any time you can jump in the big swimming pool (the sea) that is surrounding the place! The price include meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and all beverages. Sometimes we manage to catch a fish by ourselves and, if we don't, the local indigenous people can provide us with some fresh fish and lobster. Our captain is a great cook! =)
We are surrounded by pristine water, coral reefs and gorgeous islands. We provide snorkel gear if you want to go explore the rich marine life around. We have nice contact with the "kunas", the indigenous people that inhabit some islands, if you are interested on discovering their handmade artcraft. Some other islands are virgin, with only palm trees and white sand. Note there's no supermarkets on the islands.

  • Miro was a great host and captain of this marvelous vessel. The food was superior and entire experience fantastic. Be aware it is quite a long trek via 4 wheel drive and water taxi to get from Panama City to board the yacht but well worth the time. San Blas is a must see paradise.

    Delila2015-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed on Miro's Perle for 3 nights and it was fantastic! It's a lovely yacht, which can easily accommodate 4-6 people. Miro and Alice took great care of us not just by serving delicious food but also by driving us around with the dingi and showing us great spots to snorkel. Miro was a great host. I can highly recommend staying with him.

    Stephan2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was an amazing experience! Miro took us to some really good islands and was always so prestative and attencious with all the thing we would do or need! We had a great time sailing with him!

    Luiz2016-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Miro is a knowledgable and thoughtful host. We enjoyed the whole time we stayed on Perle in San Blas. Staying on a boat is most definitely the best way to visit these islands and avoid crowds. Miro took us to some of the best places and made sure we stayed in relative comfort. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a true tropical respite. You must keep in mind, however, the requirements of getting to San Blas, as well as the limitations once arrived. Despite the lack of amenities in San Blas, Miro manages to produce good meals and a clean, hospitable living situation! Beautiful trip :)

    Conor2014-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • WOW !!!! Have no words to describe how beautiful and wild San blas islands are but first Miro and his helper Jessi were THE BEST since we got into the boat we felt their energy and their hospitality. We stayed 3 nights with then ; we visited some of the islands, fresh seafood everyday and also got the talked and interact with a Kuna family in one of the islands . White sand beaches , untouched islands and fresh food ... I don't know if people needs more than that. My buddies and I were very happy and overwhelmed by San blas .100 % recommend to go there and to stay in PERLE , Miro and Jessi will make sure everything goes smooth. Thank you guys and best wishes. Gracias hermanos.

*In case there isn't availability for the requested dates for this listing, please note we have 2 others listings on Airbnb for the same accommodation or contact us!* Discover our Ogob Nega (Coconut House) all-inclusive Cabañas on Chichime Island where paradise and premium "rustic" come together as one. Our island is located at 45 minutes boat trip from the mainland at the end of the Limones Cayes and is well known for its calm water and beautiful scenery as anchorage point for sailing boat.
    • The cabins are rustics but comfortable with a wooden floor and a hard tin roof, real beds and shared bathrooms. We have electricity on the island. • Our price include all meals (without drinks) and one tour is offered. • Our hospitality, service and food are considered as excellent by many travellers. • No WiFi available • We allow and recommend you to bring snacks, water and beverages from the City. • The 4x4 transport company usually make a stop on the supermarket for you to purchase your own it is more cheaper than on the island as well and sometimes we may run out of some of these items in the island.
Chichime Island is located at 45 minutes boat trip from the mainland at the end of the Limones Cayes and is well known for its calm water and beautiful scenery as anchorage point for sailing boat. It is a middle size island and will take you 20 minutes to walk around. Another family also having some cabins leave on the island
  • Great place from some rest and relaxation!

    Dave2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • First of all the place is magic, it's like a postcard: palm tries along the water, white sand, small island, nice little bungalows, really a relaxing place middle of no where with views on other island so that is really great! The things a bit more negative: It's not clear once on the island when you can go for a snorkling ride, when you gonna eat, ... so you can miss easily one of the activies organized. The travel to the San Blas was not that well organized. The driver was a bit earlier than foreseen (no problem with that even if it is at 5:00 AM instead of 5:30 AM) but then when you have to wait 1h30 minutes middle of nowhere in the little boat docking place to take the boat to our Island that is frustrating. Specially when you were taken earlier at the hotel. We had to wait on other people (?). You shouldn't be penalized because other people are not on time or not ready. We keep a great memorie of our stay, but those things could make it even better.

  • The Ogob Nega is a beautiful place in a secluded island! I wish we could stay here longer. The island is so magical, surrounded by the warm clear water and coconut trees. We wish that there was bigger portions of food, but the every dish was so delicious!

Join us on our well-equipped Lagoon 380 in the paradise that is San Blas, Panama. Wake up surrounded by the ocean in your private rooms, sail with us, and enjoy the all inclusive gourmet meals and drinks made by your hosts. Spend your days snorkeling, kayaking, and sunbathing on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, or simply relax and enjoy cocktails on the boat. Our crew is dedicated to making your time in San Blas memorable and fun!!
The Lagoon 380 is the best selling catamaran of all time for good reason: it's excellent layout, spacious accommodations, and rock-solid construction. In addition to an excellent layout and design - our Lagoon 380 (NOMAD) is well equipped and maintained, meaning your stay will be maximized onboard NOMAD. We do not pack guests onto the boat, preferring a more personal experience - we limit our onboard guests to 6 people per trip. Two queen sized berths with attached bathrooms, and one full sized berth, give our guests privacy and comfort. Three separate zones allow for personal space. Play games and enjoy meals inside the salon, or in the fresh air on our spacious back deck or in hammocks. Relax with a good book and a cocktail on the trampolines out front. Three delicious, home cooked meals are provided for you each day as well as snacks and drinks (alcohol in moderation). We also have plenty of fun toys! You'll have unlimited use of our large aluminum RIB with 15 HP outboard, two person kayak, surfboard, snorkeling gear, fishing gear, camping gear, underwater lights and underwater cameras. Feel like relaxing on the boat? We have a large collection of movies and games, instruments, and a sound system with great music. Your crew is always available to make sure you're well cared for. And of course, you'll have daily access to the beautiful islands of San Blas! Listed price is per person, per night - with a minimum of TWO guests required to book. This is pricing for a private charter; you will have the entire boat to yourself.
The islands of San Blas are some of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean. Only 49 of the 360+ islands are inhabited, leaving the rest virtually unspoiled for their lucky visitors. The inhabited islands are controlled by the native Kunas, the indigenous people of Panama. The Kunas have kept the islands protected from mass-tourism, allowing you to enjoy the crystal clear waters and white sand beaches in the most relaxing manner possible. While here you can interact with the Kuna people, and learn about their famous molas. Offering a unique cultural experience, pristine beaches, and boatloads of fun, many guests rate San Blas as one of the best trips of their lives!
  • This was the greatest experience of my life! I can't believe I was just sailing the Caribbean Sea. It was like Hemingway's Key West adventures on steroids. I'd wake up and spearfish and freedive over exuberant reefs. I'd explore beautiful islands inhabited by indigenous and friendly tribes. At night, we'd lay in hammocks staring at a milky and illuminated night sky. The gourmet food on the boat was beyond mouth-watering, from sushi, smoked mackerel, to fried conch. Nate and Marissa were wonderful hosts. Again, this was the greatest experience of my life! I recommend it again and again.

    Jonny2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • I am about to retire as a customer service manager and our trip on the Nomad hosted by Nate and Marissa was what I would classify as outstanding customer service! The communication prior to our arrival was excellent. I had several questions that were answered promptly. I would give them 6 stars in each category, only 5 are available. My wife and I had our daughter and son in law accompany us on this trip. We had private rooms that were comfortable and clean. The boat provided us with a new tropical paradise location daily. Every day was a new adventure into the San Blas Islands. We snorkeled daily on beautiful coral reefs that had a large variety of tropical fish which had colors and shapes that go beyond your imagination. We also visited a local Kuna tribe that was very interesting, it amazed me that these indigenous people live by using their local resources to survive. The Kunas came by to sell us crab and lobster, Marissa made this into a gourmet meal for all of us. We dove for conch and again had a delightful appetizer of conch fritters. Marissa is a very talented chef who prepared every meal with culinary expertise. Nate is an accomplished captain who is an excellent instructor for fishing and diving. One evening after anchoring at a safe moorage, he spotted what appeared to be Tarpon feeding near a rip. He pointed out this school of fish to me and asked me if I wanted to go, and with no hesitation we were off with some fishing gear and high hopes at just before sunset. We trolled along the rip and I hooked a hard fighting King Mackerel that weighed around 20 lbs. We decided to take that fish for a meal later on. Nate also caught a King Mackerel that was the same size. Nate was as excited for me as I was for him. We both had smiles on our faces that would make your jaw hurt. We released the second fish and headed back to the Nomad for dinner and Marissaritas (margaritas prepared by Marissa). This is a fabulous way to visit the San Blas Islands and I can't say enough about the high level of customer service that Nate and Marissa provided us. They team up to give the ultimate San Blas Island experience. I highly recommend them! Looking forward to chartering them again.

  • We had a blast while sailing on the Nomad this May. I had previously sailed with Nate while in Colombia. That trip deserves a review of it's own. I had so much fun that I booked another trip to sail the San Blas Islands in Panama. He makes the trip unique in the sense of exploring areas that are not tourist ridden and virtually untouched by the masses. You get to embrace the culture. I have seen many parts of the world, but much to my surprise the coral in the locations (San Blas) that we dove was absolutely beautiful, full of life, and untouched. We were virtually the only people diving in these areas because your standard tour group does not go to the areas that Nate will anchor at. We spent most of the days exploring various islands, free diving / snorkeling (scuba is not allowed by the Kunas), fishing, eating great food, listening to music, and talking. At night we would either grill on the beach or sit on the deck of the boat eating, enjoying wine or rum, and watch the gang of barracudas swim in place around the boat. This adventure is a MUST.

  • We had a wonderful and memorable time on Nomad. The trip was AMAZING!!!! The hosts, Nathan and Marissa, were so grateful and generous with their time. We did a lot of things; Fishing, snorkeling, free diving (with technical lessons), spearfishing, visiting islands and different beaches with the dinghy, we had a fire on the beach with the locals, sailed around the San Blas Island; Nathan shown us the basics of sailing. We also had our privacy when needed. We couldn’t ask for more. Everything was so perfect. The food was really good, they did ceviche, sushi, different recipes with fresh fish, on board they have a smoker (Nathan did fish and chicken with it!!! Yummy!!!) we shared really great moments and great life stories. So, nothing bad to say about this trip, everything was so perfect; the food was excellent, the boat was clean, we felt really comfortable with them like we would with a friend. In all the time during this trip we feel safe with a good captain, we stayed in nice spots in anchorages near islands. We recommended The Nomad experience to everyone, we had so much fun and we already want to go back. Thanks guys for everything!!!

  • This stay has been the most comfortable and peacefull ever. Since day one Mariel was there for me and my husband and our little one Chanel a Frenchie. The place is just majical day and night the breakfast was delicious every morning the propety is huge!!! Their pets Cojita and Hummer are so friendly and adorable. Fernando, Mariels husband such a big help also and cooks delicious!!! The trip to the river wich is like 5 minutes away wa the best, overall you just forget about the world once you step in to Mariel's a relaxation everyday. I HIGHLY recomend Mariel's to everyone who either wants peace and comfort or even just a exploration into the quiet non city stress. Mariel and Fernando always made sure we were always comfortable and pleased. My husband and I will DEFENATABLY will be back. I trully adore this place theese are such beautifull people.

  • Where to even begin? Fernando and Mariel are the best! We found ourselves on quite the adventure. At 1:00 AM after I-phone maps directed us to some strange suburb in Panama City we finally got straightened out using (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps and searching for “Riverside Village” en La Mesa. That will get you there. But back to 1:00 AM, when we were lost and nervous by how far in the country we were, there they were with flashlights looking for us to make sure we found the place. We woke up to most surreal landscape with low, lush hills, mango trees and the scent of lilac and lavender, everything I was hoping Panama to be! But it gets better, the hosts are the most amazing people. We chatted about how they personally built and landscaped the property. They checked in on us and were always up to discuss life or anything needed. We made a life-long connection with them. This location is far away from the city (about an hour drive or more). Lots of massive speed bumps to get there. The accommodations are clean and tidy. There is internet access but no cell service. Definitely a good idea to connect with them on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). We can’t wait to go back.

  • Loma Limon is a fantastic gem of rural Panama. Great location nearby Pacora river with scenic view on mountains. Mariel and her husband Fernando are very kind hosts, attentive to their guests. Fernando even proposed me to join his car trip to the centre if Panama-city, that was the great chance for me to see beautiful Casco Viejo. All the meals were really delicious. Special 'Hi!' to Mariel and Fernado's pets - dogs, cats and birds!

  • Mariel and her partner are lovely people and amazing hosts! They organised our whole trip to visit San Blas Islands with us and we had a great experience. They were always there when we needed anything from driving directions and travel information to kitchen equipment etc. and we were looked after with fresh fruits from the garden. Mariel also took us to a river close by for a swim. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back any time :)

    Madlen2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying with Mariel and Fer. Their place is outside the City, beautiful and peaceful. After an exhausting pace getting ready for the trip and a long plane ride, we had three days to enjoy a wonderful outdoor environment with plenty of solitude, if you want it. We enjoyed meeting and getting to know our hosts the most. They are so friendly. My husband and Fer played guitar and sang one night. The place is great for a family as there are two rooms available (you need to enlarge Airbnb map to see separate rooms as they on stacked together on map) and a lovely outdoor kitchen. I didn't see any mosquitos. It's early to bed and early to rise at Loma Limon. Muy tranquilo. Thank you, Mariel and Fer.

  • With Jonathan and Carlos for 2 nights, I got to see some amazing deserted islands and have very chill time. For me they know how much to interact, so it was perfect for me. I do recommend a couple of nights with them, as you can go and see some far reaching places in san blas, as well as some amazing deserted islands. food was great, and i love the langostas!!!! Simply cooked, fresh and delicious!!!!

    Peter2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with Jonathan, Mumu and Chloé on his friends (Carlos and Bri) Trimaran „Tulub“ for four nights, because Chaka Zulu was in maintenance. The trimaran was huge, very comfortable and clean. We stayed on one or more different islands everyday and Jonathan showed us some less touristic islands and beautiful reefs, what we really enjoyed. Jonathan, Carlos, Mumu and Bri were welcoming and friendly hosts. In the evenings we sat on the boat, had some drinks (Jonathan and Carlos really like to drink and started mixing cocktails in the afternoon) and shared a lot of great stories. The food included fresh vegetables and seafood (I loved the Langostas) and was very delicious. But although they did the groceries shopping just before we arrived, we went out of bread and bottled water after some days. Also there were no fixed times for the meals. So the food preparation was a little bit bad organized and sometimes we had breakfast at 1pm or dinner at 10pm. All in all we had amazing days on the beautiful boat with great people! Thank you very much!

  • We're a French family of 4 living in New York. We stayed for 4 nights on Jonathan's boat. Our daughters are 4 and 6 and one big reason why we picked this boat was because Jonathan and his wife have a 5 year old and we thought she'd be a great introduction to sailing for our girls. Which definitely worked. The boat is very comfortable, and was true to the ad. Jonathan is very easy going, interesting, fun and attentive. We had no idea he spoke French which was a nice surprise for us. We spent pretty much every night talking and sharing stories. Ask him the story of his boat! San blast islands are amazing, and Jonathan is very knowledgeable of the area and the culture. He's also a great diver and snorkeling with him was both fun and super safe. He understood we liked the off-the-beaten-path places as much as possible and took us to unique and fabulous places with no one else around. We realized 4 nights was a little short to get away from the first islands which can be pretty busy with lots of boats anchored around the islands, filled with backpackers (which can be fun depending on what you're looking for), so we're grateful he made it happen for us. Depending on what you're looking for, it would be a good idea to ask Jonathan for advice before to book, he can recommend a length of stay, an itinerary, etc. The local fishermen sell lobster, crab and fish - we definitely recommend taking advantage of that fresh fish! Jonathan's wife Muriel prepared some lobsters for us which were delicious. We have great memories from our trip to San Blas and experiencing it from the ocean was ideal. We will be back! Thank you Jonathan, Muriel and Chloe.

  • Borja and Mariana are great hosts! We had a great time with them during our time in San Blas. They are both very friendly and kind, great cooks and very fun to be around. Their boat is very cozy and comfortable. San Blas is such a beautiful paradise and I would highly recommend this boat to get to travel trough the islands!

  • Borja and Mariana have been absolutely fantastic hosts for us. We have spent four nights with them and they have taken great care of us. San Blas is paradise and Borja and Mariana have showed us some great places and have prepared some amazing dishes with fresh fish, lobster, and octopus. We're still traveling through Panamá but our sail trip around San Blas is going to be one of the highlights!

Aboard this handmade Polynesian canoe you will have a unique experience to last a lifetime. We have plenty of space to accommodate large groups, backpackers, families, and solo-travelers alike. We have snorkeling equipment, and offer packages for yoga, and/or sailing experiences. We are here to help you enjoy the San Blas to its full extent, however please be aware this is a boat, with a very different atmosphere than a hotel, and if we go sailing you might get seasick!

  • Jonathan was a very nice host. Extremely easy going and it was easy to feel at home. We spent two nights in his boat with self-catering, and this worked perfectly well as we had a stop on the way to San Blas from Panama City. Jonathan was very friendly and also helped us arrange the Lancha (local boat to bring you to the catamaran) transportation. Unfortunately there was no wind, but we had a great time snorkelling, kayaking and watching the stars at night.

Arena blanca, palmeras, y relajarse completamente.

  • Dixie has been very kind during our communication, also she was very worry about us because we arrived very late. But she wasn't there in Chicheme. And it's a pitty. The management of the cabañas is very bad. The common showers are without doors and you have to take a shower with the swimwear if you don't want people see you naked. And showers are on the beach in front of the sea, very wind so it's very cold to take a shower there without a door. Moreover the door of our cabaña was broken and it felt down (very dangerous!) and we stayed all night and day after without the door and nobody fixed it. And people working there is not kind with guests. We would like to stay more days but we run away after one night also because we found others cheapest and better cabañas in the same island. San Blas islands are very expensive but I think you can find better solution at better price.

  • Wonderful stay at the Ogob Nega cabins in San Blas ! I was looking for a remote place to relax, snorkel, fish and meet others travelers as well as to mingle with the Kuna's people. The place is rustic and must remain like this to experience the Kuna island life. Shared and clean bathroom, comfortable bed, some electricity running, great seafood was served to others guests and they accommodate my vegan meals. I stayed only one night but could have spent one or two more nights there. The tour was perfect, good snorkeling, nice shipwreck to dive in and a starfish lagoon. Get out of the crowd and just enjoy a simple life outside your usual routine.
