Situated in a perfect location with one foot close to the hustle and bustle of the heritage town of Hawick and the other with unbridled access to the beautiful Wilton Lodge Park. Entrance Lodge overlooks the Teviot river, with steps right outside the front door to the water's edge where little ones can go feed the ducks.
Entrance Lodge is a gatehouse to one of Scotland's best public parks. Built in 1860 you will be staying in the home of the former gatekeeper to the Wilton mansion house which is now a stunning museum within the park grounds.

    This spacious wooden bungalow is clean and comfortable. The kitchen /living room is open plan with table top hob and oven ,plus microwave , toaster , fridge freezer . It is only suitable for light cooking not masterchef ! We provide tea , coffee , milk and a few little extras to start you off.
    Short uphill walk of approximately 50 meters from allocated parking space.

    This is a lovely, refurbished one bedroom flat in the centre of Hawick. There are lovely views as you sit in the living room, down to the river below and across the town. The apartment is equipped with central heating and washing machine. This is an ideal place to explore Hawick itself as well as the beautiful surrounding area of the Scottish Borders.
    This is a lovely, picturesque town in the middle of the Scottish borders region. The area is famous for textiles, outdoor pursuits such as fishing, lovely walks, great food, whisky of course, and only 50 miles from Edinburgh. There are lots of beautiful towns and villages in the area and is on the Historic route from Edinburgh (A7 road) to Carlisle. There are lots of things to explore in the region including guided tours of various Mills, weaving, knitting. Good range of shops in Hawick and fantastic restaurants. Check out fabulous antiques shop, Lovely Things'. Tweed Forest National Park is close-by for hiking. There are many castles and places of historic interest including Jedburgh, a few miles away, Kelso and Montrose.

    Delightful one bedroom house in a lovely quiet residential area of town. Purchased as a holiday home and loved by the owner. The flat is warm and welcoming decorated tastefully throughout. The house is a two minute walk to the Town centre in the historic town of Hawick situated in the lovely Scottish Borders. Hawick is renown for its stunning natural park and cashmere industry. The town is an an ideal base for exploring the stunning Scottish Borders, a golfing, fishing and cyclists paradise.
    The house is spacious, extremely comfortable and homely. There are new carpets throughout and all furnishings are new or nearly new. There is a large tv with Sky Entertainment and soundbar. There is also Wi-fi for guests.
    The house is in a perfect location for easy access to all the towns amenities. It is only a couple of minutes walk from the high street. There is plenty off-road parking

  • Cómodo, acogedor, elegante La casa de Sandra es un excelente lugar para alojarse ... limpia, acogedora y cómoda, con algunos toques personales preciosos, obras de arte originales en cada pared y muchos corazones y flores diseminados por todos lados, esta casa es muy apreciada. Tiene todo lo que necesita (si estaba chiflado pediría un guante de horno, pero no lo soy, no lo haré), cubiertos, utensilios, vajilla en la cocina, toallas, jabón, etc. en el baño, incluso un aparato eléctrico. manta en la cama (muy bienvenida)! Hawick es una ciudad agradable, vale la pena visitar Wilton Park, ya que está cerca de Jedburgh. El estacionamiento fuera de la propiedad no fue un problema.   • Nos lo pasamos de maravilla en el apartamento de Shirley. Estaba muy limpio y tenía todo lo que necesitábamos para un par de días. Está en una ubicación muy céntrica que hace que sea fácil de explorar la ciudad y sus alrededores.     The apartment is larger than average and has an airy yet cosy feel with all the touches of home
    Allars Bank is the entire corner building and although there is a side entrance to the flat down the ramp to the right of the entrance, this door is NOT in use.The entrance to our place is from the top street level where there is a grey door which has no 3 on it . (There are two plaques on the right with 2A and 3G and 3H on them) You will need the code to get in. Please take a careful look at the photos to make sure you are at the right door. Enter the building and follow the corridor to a flight of red steps leading down to our flat. (Look for the arrow with 2A on it!)There is a key safe on the door frame so if we're not able to be here to check you in, you can get the keys and let yourself in.

You’ll love my place because of The quietness, very peaceful in an area with lots to do. Town centre with restaurants and museums walking distance, free off road parking. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).

On the same street as the renowned Johnstons Cashmere woollen Mill (owned and operated by Chanell), which has an adorable waiting service for coffee and snacks.
    We are very close to the town centre approx 500 yards There is a cinema in Hawick and a multiplex in Galashiels Sir Walter scoots house is only 10 miles away just outside Selkirk . Historic Hawick on your doorstep with beautiful view of the River Teviot

    Hawick is a historic old mill town famous for its woollens and steeped in tradition. Our house is in the town centre close to restaurants, and all amenities. Walking routes, Mountain Biking Centres and Edinburgh are within easy reach. Our huge park and Leisure centre are only a stones throw away. You’ll love our home because it is a listed building with lots of character, high ceilings and a comfy bed. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, cyclists, walkers.
    This is a double bedroom in a private residence with room for a futon if required for a younger child. There is free wifi, a 32" TV and a mini fridge with complimentary snacks in the room. There is a shared bathroom and large sittingroom where you can chill out, watch tv and eat breakfast. Breakfast will be a continental breakfast comprising fruit juice, yoghurt & fresh fruit, cereal, and toast, using local Scottish products as much as possible. Cooked breakfasts and evening meals can be provided on request. There is also a local Weatherspoons very close by.
    Our home is in the very centre of Hawick with on street parking. Weatherspoons is round the corner and there is a wide choice of local restaurants serving Scottish produce. There are many local shops and supermarkets only a few minutes away. We have a beautiful local park with an amazing new childrens playpark. There is a historic town trail and lots of old buildings telling the story of our textile heritage. Walking: We are on the Borders Abbeys Way circular walking route. There are many lovely local forest walks and more challenging walks in the Cheviots nearby. We have lots of information to help you. Cycling: Some of the best cycling routes and events can be found in the Scottish Borders. The 7-stanes Mountain Biking at Glentress is within 40 mins.

    PLEASE READ, we have a key box outside the door to the flat and the keys are inside . Put in the 4 digit code, then press down on OPEN. The box will open and keys are inside. When you shut the box please scramble the code. Please note that the flat is on the second floor so there are 2 flights of stairs. There is NOT a lift! This property, therefore, is NOT suitable the less able bodied.
    Allars Bank is the entire corner building and the entrance is from the top street level where there is a grey door which has no 3 on it. 3H and 3G are shown on the plaque at this door. Please take a careful look at the photos to make sure you are at the right door. Enter the building using the keypad located at the ENTRANCE to the building. Now follow the corridor to a flight stairs leading UP to the flat on the top floor. There are 2 a key safes on either side of the door frame (G & H) so if we're not able to be here to check you in, you can get the keys and let yourself in. The code provided is for 3G only! There are 2 rental properties on this level (3G and 3H)and are situated ideally for two couples holidaying together. Each is independent of the other.

One of only three properties in the building with lovely neighbours. The flat is on the first floor, you will be required to climb the flight of stairs.     Hawick is famous for it's cashmere knitwear shops. We have our own shop at Wiltonburn. There is an award winning park at the road end, and a leisure centre in town. A wonderful area for playing golf with around 18 golf courses in the Borders. Also an excellent area for horse riding and walking or cycling, with marked routes from the farm. Floors Castle, Hermitage Castle, Melrose and Jedburgh Abbeys are all within easy reach. Sir Walter Scott's house at Abbotsford is also worth a visit. It is approx. 50 miles to both Edinburgh and Newcastle, and 40 to Carlisle with a new rail link from Tweedbank to Edinburgh. The fabulous beach and castle at Bamburgh is good for a day out or Alnwick Castle and gardens in Northumberland where Harry Potter was filmed is good for children too.

  • Gran lugar con dos habitaciones (la más pequeña es hacia la calle, la más grande hacia el patio trasero). Básicamente todo lo que necesitas está ahí. Cuando digo todo, quiero decir, todo. Excepto por un lavavajillas, pero eso fue literalmente lo único. Por otro lado, encontrará un piso limpio que está bellamente decorado con un gran paquete de bienvenida y muchos detalles agradables. No quiero estropearlo, pero si te apetece ver televisión en la cama, este lugar lo lleva al siguiente nivel. Y en general hay que mencionar que todos los aparatos técnicos son de buena calidad. La comunicación con el dueño siempre fue perfecta. Una cosa para saber es que el piso está ubicado al norte del río. Cuando lo reservé, se mostró como al sur. Podría ser un defecto de AirBnB y no es un problema real ya que hay un puente literalmente a 50 metros de distancia. La otra cosa es que está ubicado en una rotonda bastante concurrida que los jóvenes locales utilizaron para un "concurso de deriva" la noche que estuvimos allí. Eso puede ser molesto. Sin embargo, mi hijo que dormía en la habitación frente a la rotonda no tuvo problemas para dormir toda la noche. En resumen, si vienes a Hawick definitivamente deberías considerar este lugar. Jedburgh is a 10 min drive away which is a lovely historic town with plenty to do such as visit Mary Queen of Scots house, Jedburgh Castle Jail.

  • La furgoneta está impecablemente limpia y agradable y acogedora. Excelente ubicación para explorar los alrededores: visitamos la Abadía de Jedburgh, Lindisfarne y el muro de Adriano, pero había mucho más que pudimos haber visto. El clima era terrible, así que realmente apreciabas tener una buena caravana a la que regresar. Si no hubiera sido por el clima, también habríamos explorado algunos de los paseos por el campamento. El camping en sí es tranquilo y no hay casa club o entretenimiento nocturno, lo cual es perfecto, si como nosotros, está buscando un descanso relajante. Recomendaría esta caravana a cualquiera que busque un retiro tranquilo durante unos días.

  • La caravana se encuentra en un sitio tranquilo con buen acceso al sitio, pero salir del sitio puede ser un poco complicado ya que la visibilidad es un poco limitada y sale a una carretera de límite de velocidad de 60 mph. El sitio en sí es muy bonito y ordenado al lado del río, pero no hay comodidades en el lugar, hay un poco de ruido de la carretera mientras la caravana de Shirley regresa a la carretera. La caravana es agradable para su edad y fue justo lo que necesitábamos para nuestra estancia en la zona, visitamos Edimburgo, el castillo de Bamburgh, Lindisfarne y el castillo de Alnwick, todos los cuales están a una hora en coche. Lo único que puede ser un problema para algunos es el acceso a la caravana, que está subiendo algunos escalones hasta una galería, de lo contrario está bien. Hawick en sí mismo es una ciudad agradable con muchas tiendas y algunos lugares agradables para comer. En general, nos lo pasamos de maravilla y, si estás en un lugar económico, vale la pena considerar el lugar de Shirley, consideraría volver a reservar ya que hay mucho más que ver en la zona.

  • Shirley fue una gran anfitriona: estaba disponible, era fácil comunicarse con ella y la caravana era exactamente lo prometida y muy limpia. Está en un lugar encantador con buenos vecinos y es tranquilo y seguro, aunque un poco de frío hasta que la calefacción se calienta. Las camas son cómodas y están lo suficientemente cerca para un montón de cosas frescas, mientras que se mantienen lo suficientemente lejos para sentirse fuera de la red.   • Pasamos un momento realmente encantador en la caravana de Shirley: me sentí como en casa desde el momento en que entramos por la puerta y la configuración funcionó perfectamente para nosotros y nuestro bebé. Todo estaba limpio y ordenado, y todas las comodidades eran fáciles de usar. Realmente apreciamos los consejos para tiendas y lugares para comer. El camino era un poco ruidoso pero no afectó dormir. When you shut the box please scramble the code. Please note that the flat is on the second floor so there are 2 flights of stairs. There is NOT a lift! This property, therefore, is NOT suitable the less able bodied.
    Allars Bank is the entire corner building and the entrance is from the top street level where there is a grey door which has no 3 on it. 3H and 3G are shown on the plaque at this door. Please take a careful look at the photos to make sure you are at the right door. Enter the building using the keypad located at the ENTRANCE to the building. Now follow the corridor to a flight stairs leading UP to the flat. There are 2 a key safes on either side of the door frame (G & H) so if we're not able to be here to check you in, you can get the keys and let yourself in. The code provided is for 3G only! There are 2 rental properties on this level (3G and 3H)and are situated ideally for two couples holidaying together. Each is independent of the other.
    Hawick is a quiet Mill town in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders and is surrounded by rolling hills and stunning countryside. The property is situated a 2 minute walk towards Hawick Town Hall located centrally on the High Street. We are also within a five minute walk of the Hawick Heritage Hub. Here you can explore family history in the up to date archive of Hawick families. Also enjoy a film or concert in the friendly theatre, or simply watch the river run by while enjoying a coffee in the atrium of this old mill. The River Slitrig provides a lovely back drop with its own 'Salmon Leap' to this innovative Building which houses theTourist Information Office inside. Hawick boasts a stunning Park with a Museum at it's Centre with information about local Heros like Bill McLaren (the voice of rugby), Steven Hislop and many more. A beautiful play area is the latest addition to the park and a brand new coffee shop. The all weather sporting facilities are also a big attraction for sports enthusiasts of all ages. The most recent addition to the town is the magnificent Borders Distillery hosting daily guided tours. The Hawick Cashmere Trail may also be of interest and traces the history of Hawick knitwear around the town. There are a number of eateries with a good price ratio to suit all pockets. Finally, the culmination of the Hawick Calendar is the 'Common Riding' which takes place annually at the beginning of June. HEATING: The flat is heated by a gas boiler. Please do NOT tamper with this and use the thermostatic valves on the radiators ONLY to alter the temperature. When you arrive in cold weather the heating will be switched on. In the summer the boiler will be set to water only.

    Longview House is a Victorian detached house with front & rear garden grounds. Built in 1888 the house has retained all its original features, from decorative cornices, redwood staircase, cast iron fireplaces etc . Settled within the west-end of the beautiful picturesque Scottish Borders town of Hawick. There are two double bedrooms with a private bathroom, guests also have a private living room and use of the gardens. Very large driveway for off street parking. Bus stop directly opposite.
    The house sits in a commanding position ,overlooking the entire town, hence the name "Longview" Both bedrooms have beautiful views over the town and surrounding countryside. King size beds, bedside cabinets with side lamps, wardrobes and drawers. The "Teviot" room has an original cast iron fireplace and corniced ceiling. The "Slitrig" room also has a corniced ceiling ,with stunning views over the town to the Minto Hills in the distance. There are garden grounds front & rear. The rear garden is a lovely "suntrap" so you can take breakfast outside or relax at night with a glass of wine. The front garden, with mature trees and bushes has lots of room to enjoy too. Guests will have their own private bathroom & living room with original cast iron fireplace where you can kick back on leather recliners and either watch tv or just watch the flickering flames of the real fire.
    Hawick and the surrounding area is perfect for hiking , biking, golfing and fishing. Hawick is perfectly positioned for exploring/hiking all of the Borders area. Designated routes and websites detailing an extensive array of hikes and routes are available. The Scottish Borders is home to some world class biking and the regular haunt of all kinds of bikers on cross country trails, high-octane down-hilling or road biking through the beautiful Border countryside. The town's 18 hole golf course is a 300 mtr walk away with a lovely bar and restaurant to enjoy after your game. There are two trout fishing lochs a 5 min drive away, plus the river Teviot (voted one of the best rivers in the UK for Grayling fishing when in season) and the Slitrig river which both merge in the centre of the town. Both rivers attract Salmon/Trout & Grayling fishers. The famous Tweed River is only a few miles drive too. The "award" winning Wilton Lodge Park is a 10 min walk, with a beautiful Victorian Museum which proudly houses memorabilia from our famous Motor Cycle Legends Jimmy Guthrie & Stevie Hyslop. Close to the museum you can visit our beloved memorial to the Legendary Rugby Commentator Bill McLaren, a few steps further to the memorial statues of both our Motor Cycle Heroes Jimmy Guthrie & Stevie Hyslop. When a lazy lunch beckons, the charming village pub is just a mile from the door. The beauty of this cottage is the peaceful country setting together with the simple tranquility of its interior. Warm and inviting, the cottage benefits from an open plan sitting room with woodburner and dining space leading to a bright, sunny kitchen, while a separate sitting room adds a dash of Nordic elegance for relaxed socialising or just a little time-out. The bathroom on the ground floor has a plentiful supply of hot water whilst upstairs, two double bedrooms (one double, one twin) have delightful combed ceilings and scenic views out towards Ruberslaw Hill. Crisp linens from the White Company, gorgeous furnishing fabrics from Scottish design company Inchyra, along with sumptuous goose down duvets and pillows should help to ease you into a restful sleep. Open plan living/dining/kitchen - with double sofa and armchairs, wood burning stove, and dining space for 4. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, 3/4 dishwasher, and microwave. Please note that there is a step down from the living area to the kitchen which may be a consideration for guests with restricted mobility. There is a washing machine and dryer in a storage cupboard to the rear of the property. Sitting room - with two large sofas, Smart TV, DVD player. Selection of books, games and DVDs. Bathroom - bath with shower-over and a separate handheld shower, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Rear hall with hanging space with door leading to a patio garden. First floor Bedroom one with 5‘ king size bed, side tables and chest of drawers. Bedroom two with twin beds and two small chest of drawers. Parking There is private parking for two cars to the front of the cottage. Privacy The cottage is detached and benefits from a private location on the Teviot Bank Estate and is not overlooked.     The picturesque village of Denholm sits just 1 mile from the cottage where you will find an excellent butcher, post office, two pubs serving good food, two cafes and the charming ‘Denholm Meet’ with a cafe/bistro on the ground floor and antiques and interiors shop upstairs. A little further afield will take you to Ancrum (8.5 miles) for superb gastro pub dining at the Cross Key Inn along with a fine craft ale from multi-award winning microbrewery 'Born in the Borders' You will find a more extensive range of amenities in Hawick (5 miles) including a deli, butchers shops and a number of large supermarkets for stocking up on those everyday essentials. The location of Garden Cottage means that it is perfectly placed for walking, cycling and exploring the great outdoors. There are thirteen designated walks around this area from short 2 mile stretches to more demanding 8 mile hill hikes taking in beautiful countryside and rolling border hills. The Borders Abbeys Way is a circular walk which takes in the spectacular remnants of four 12th century abbeys and the route passes nearby - a pretty stretch which follows the course of the River Teviot and ends at the historically significant Horse Memorial in Hawick which celebrates the ‘callants’ victory in the 1514 Battle of Hornshole. You can also follow the Ruberslaw Circular Route, a 5 mile hike where you will be rewarded with breathtaking views to the Cheviots, or the 6 mile Minto Hills route which starts and finishes at Denholm Village Green - a perfect spot to enjoy tea and cake after the day’s exertions! Similarly, there is some fantastic cycling and mountain biking to be had here from family friendly leisure routes to more challenging hill terrain including the NCN Route 1, Four Abbeys Cycleway, Tweed Cycleway, and Borderloop tour. Local trails includes the Denholm Circular (14 miles), Cavers & Stobs (19 miles), and Vertish Hill Loop (7 miles). For dedicated mountain biking trails, The 7Stanes centre at Newcastleton is 25 miles away, and the Kielder Forest Park is 23 miles. The nearby town of Hawick is home to the finest quality Scottish cashmere and knitwear, where guests can follow the Textile Trail which includes visitor centres and museums as well as factory and retail outlets, with everything from finest quality cashmere, unique sample pieces or perhaps just some rather natty woolly socks! For a little bit of history or maybe even tracing your Scottish ancestry, head to the Heart of Hawick, a superb new arts and heritage project which includes the Textile Towerhouse Museum, as well as the Scottish Archive whose registrar and genealogy services can help you on the path of re-connecting with your Scottish roots.     With Croft Angry you’ll find, a spacious, fun packed home for family and friends to reconnect and relax. Built in the 1850’s, is believed to be given its name due to the angular, crofting land that it was built upon. You’ll be astounded on what this house has to offer! Park your cars in the private parking bays and make your way into your luxurious home from home. Inside, you’ll discover a large open plan living space. This area is unique; it has a glass room for dining with bi-fold doors opening out onto a balcony, with a view of the rolling Border hills, stunning architecture and the river Slitrig.     My place is close to the town centre and all amenities, including the Leisure Centre and Parks. Local transport is just around the corner. You’ll love my place because of the river views. Heron and Ducks are quite regularly seen on the River as well as Salmon (when in season). We have endeavoured to make the Apartment as comfortable and cosy as possible with all mod cons. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
    The Apartment is centrally based for easy access to Hawick town centre. The Leisure Centre is only 4 minutes walk away. If you wanted to take a train to Edinburgh, the local bus service is just around the corner and will take you to Galashiels, in under an hour, where you can hop on the Waverley Line train. The beautiful border countryside is only a couple of minutes drive from the Apartment. Or you can take a scenic walk along the banks of the River Teviot.
