Great seasonal local wine, ciders and beers are on tap everywhere. Cheese, chocolate, beer and wine tours? Book a massage? swimming your desire? Just ask us... Our very comfortable and beautifully appointed Luxury Barn Apartment is surrounded by gardens and breath-taking views on 80 very private acres. Nestled high in the Green Mountains, Lincoln is a peaceful world apart, yet Middlebury College and all its cultural resources is 18 miles away. The charming Village of Bristol is 5 minutes, 20 to the wonderful little City of Vergennes, 30 minutes to Burlington International Airport. Montreal is 2 1/2 hours to the north, Boston 3 hrs. south. We are very close to Lake Champlain for summer water play, as well as world-class skiing at Sugarbush, Madriver, and The Middlebury College Snow Bowl and Reichert Ski Touring Center. Stowe is an hour to the north. Hiking, snowshoeing, secret swimming holes, biking, and cross-country opportunities abound just outside the front door. Numerous great restaurants, artisan cheese and bread makers and several flourishing Farmer's Markets are open year-round. It's a perfect spot for city-dwellers to kick back for a weekend in the country, or for putting up family members during Reunions, Parent's Weekends, Homecoming and Graduations at Middlebury College. Numerous Brides and Grooms have chosen the Apartment for their honeymoons. If you would like to have a Massage, Cooking Class, or Artisinal Cheese Tour, we would be delighted to arrange it. Please let us know how we can help you plan your perfect get-away. There are plenty of places to get well fed and caffinated nearby. Bristol is home to the incomparable Almost Home Market, the Bristol Bakery, and Snaps Diner. Dinners out are also a treat: visit with Chef Doug Mack and his wife Linda Harmon of Mary's at Baldwin Creek for fabulous locally grown everything (cooking classes!), or go to the Bobcat for a local Brew and Bistro Fare. Not to be missed either, are the sublimely French Tourterelle (Best Boulliabaise Ever), in New Haven, and the Vergennes Laundry for superb coffee and pastries, fresh oysters and sandwiches. Did I forget to mention Middlebury Chocolates or Daily Chocolate in Vergennes, lu.lu's small-batch ice cream in Bristol, and all the local brews? So much more great food and drink, so little time!!! We can acommodate two adults in a queen bed, and also have a double-bed as well for an extra couple or child, 35 dollars a night per person in the second bed. Fresh linens, fresh coffee, teas and snacks are provided by us. Canine friends are welcome only downstairs in the barn garage (the floor is heated and the space cozy), and are not allowed in the apartment. Bring kennel and or bed. Please be advised - If your pet cannot be out of your sight, the barn is not going to work for them!

  • Christine's place is absolutely beautiful with picturesque views of the mountains and large windows. We had a great time in Lincoln. Christine was very helpful and welcoming and gave us lots of ideas for fun things to do. We ended up swimming in a neat nearby swimming hole with a waterfall. We also checked out historic Vergennes for brunch and Bristol for dinner. Christine left us cookies and strawberries that were delicious. The flowers and landscaping she has grown add to the prettiness of the house.

    Shannon2015-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place...exactly what we expected and we were given a little treat of homemade cookies and fruit. Thank you!

  • We were greeted on our first night with a warm plate of biscotti from our host, who walked us through the apartment and gave us a quick intro. The property is nestled in a gorgeous Green Mountain niche, not far from eclectic Lincoln, VT. Christine was incredibly helpful with all of her recommendations, from towns to visit to the very best places to eat. Every recommendation she gave us was spot on and in some cases our very favorite experiences on our trip. We can't wait to come back and experience the property in the summer!

    Gabi2015-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • I felt so welcomed by Christine and her dog. Almost felt like I was visiting my family for the weekend. We communicated on an ongoing basis prior to my arrival. She was clear in terms of expectations of the rental and made an effort to accommodate my requests.

  • This is a very sweet place to forget all your troubles airy, spacious , clean bright and well stocked with great books. I need to come here often. Look out the windows and see nothing but trees, sky and mountains. The hosts were beyond expectations. Left us a box of sweets on the way the stairs, heart cookies and lovely dried fruits. Absolutely loved this place.

  • We just returned from a fantastic stay in the Luxury Barn and we couldn't be happier with our experience. First of all, Christine and John are lovely hosts. They were very welcoming and friendly and really went out of their way to make us feel at home. The barn itself is beautiful, with lots of natural light and a great view of the surrounding gardens/lawn. The pictures don't do it (URL HIDDEN) is even prettier in person. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for some rest, relaxation and privacy. However, it is also a close drive to many great places to eat and also not far from some hiking trails if you are into that sort of thing. We hope to go back again soon!

• Rod's place is always the greatest! Each time I come back he has made some improvement that makes things easier, or more comfortable and enjoyable for his Airbnb guests. Always a pleasure. Highly recommended!

  • Best airbnb stay yet!! Great room and great host. An asset to airbnb!

  • Rod is very nice and attentive to your needs

    Marie-Claude2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rod was great! Everything we needed was in his home and it was very comfortable. It was very easy to find and close to town. It made our trip to Vermont much easier. Definitely recommend!

    Jenna2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rod was friendly and super accommodating. His place is an short, easy walk to everything in Montpelier. Having access to coin-op laundry in the building was very useful for us!

    Lauren2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent experience. I arrived after riding bicycle for 6 hours through rain and mud. Rod was understand and when to extreme lengths to help me get cleaned up and comfortable. My room was clean and contained everything I needed.

    Deo2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay at Rod's place! You could easily walk into town in 5-7 minutes and, conveniently, the grocery store is almost the 1st place you come across. Our room was small but perfectly formed, extra blankets in case we were cold and a fan in for the other extreme. Good WiFi and (unfortunately I didn't get to say hello myself but my partner reliably informs me) a friendly host. If you are staying in Montpelier and don't have a car to get around, this will suit you very well.

This quiet 2nd floor (unfinished) barn apartment, a bright and airy space to enjoy natural beauty and wildlife, and an easy 5 mile drive from downtown Montpelier. Some of the best local shopping and culinary experiences can be found here as well as activities for all seasons. Attractions include hiking, biking, tennis, snowmobiling, horseback riding, yoga and more. Many nordic and alpine ski resorts within an hours drive. The property is 40 acres of organic farm and forest. 1086 ft above the sea!
This unique barn apartment is a combination of new and old construction. The window views are the best our property has to offer during any season. White Rock and Mt. Hunger, seen in the distance on a clear day, is often covered with snow and lends itself to a good day hike. Our plan is to finish this space with replacement windows and trim so that it will be even more of a desirable place to stay any time of the year.
Here is a list of places in which we are very familiar (within 4-7 miles) Grocery: Meadow Mart (maple soft serve) Hunger Mountain co-op The Uncommon Market Shaw’s Activities and Farm Stands: Morse Farm Maple Sugar House Brags Farm Bakeries and coffee houses: Birchgrove Bakery 802 Coffee/Capitol grounds Red Hen Bakery Bohemian Bakery Manghi’s (bakery only)
  • Great clean place to stay!

    Yvette2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! Dexter and Carol were outstanding hosts. The barn was located on a beautiful property with some very nice views. Inside was quite spacious, very clean and warm. Downtown Montpelier was just a stone's throw away, making it a very convenient spot. We were lucky enough to see some chickens pecking around the yard and have Flicker pay us a visit. Highly recommend!

    Robert2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous home with the cutest residential pets. It was so cozy and the hosts were so welcoming! The miniature flower arrangement above the sink was a nice little touch. Would love to stay again and have another visit with Flicker the friendly cat!

    Chelsea2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dexter and his wife are very friendly and their place is perfect to rest your head. Cute little bakery called Birchgrove Baking maybe a ten minutes drive from their home. Plenty of restaurants close by also. Recommend their place if you're looking to enjoy Vermont.

    Aimee2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! My wife, 1 year old daughter and I stayed for a beautiful stay in the heart of fall. It really felt like a home. Very well stocked and clean. Highly recommended

    Andy2017-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I were checking out breweries in the area and needed a place for the night. We found Dexters apartment and he responded right away. Great quiet spot. Nice view of the foliage. We both had a great night sleep and the apartment had everything we could have needed. Will stay again.

    Adam2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The home was quiet and set far back off of any major roads, which adds to the peacefulness and tranquility. Dexter and family ensured we had everything we needed to get set up, had quick communication, and provided valuable insights in getting to the apartment. As for the apartment itself, it’s a 2BR 1BA space with homey touches in a 2 story barn. It stayed warm in the snowy winter, and was accommodating to our every needs at the time. Thanks again!

Originally built in 1891 and recently completely updated, this lovingly cared for home is the full Vermont experience. This warm, inviting abode is the perfect for skiing, beer tourism, mountain biking and shopping and Burlington day tripping. Seconds from I89 Exit 9. But you might not want to leave the house! Charismatic, with wood floors, comfy couches, soft lighting, upright piano, reclaimed marble countertops, and HUGE back yard all add to the charm.
This is a comfy, cozy, Vermonty place to rest your head, make a big meal, play board games or catch up. Tons of character throughout, from the "Box of Rain" lyrics carved into the kitchen wall to the Spanish clay bathroom tile to the lighted chimney closet to the the reclaimed marble countertops ... there's bohemian detail throughout. Please note, it really is an old farmhouse, not a sterile-feeling hotel. If you love old houses with character, this place is for you! If you prefer the feeling of a chain motel, we might not be ideal. Maybe the best part is how close you are to the BEST Vermont has to offer, including that you're 1/4 mile from Red Hen Bakery! Wake up and walk or drive over for the most savory croissants, fresh-baked seeded baguettes, fresh-brewed Vermont Artisan Coffee with organic cream, local eggs ... you name it. Easy drives to Montpelier (10 min), Waterbury (8 min), Stowe (25 min), Bolton (20 min), Burlington (30 min), Mad River Valley (20-25 min), Kingdom Trails (1 hr 10 min). Montreal is 2 hours away. You're so close to Pro Pig, The Alchemist, Craft Beer Cellars, Hunger Mountain Co-op, New England Culinary Institute, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Blueberry Lake, Waterbury Reservoir, swimming holes, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, everything Vermont!
One minute to Red Hen Bakery! 25 minutes to Sugarbush, Mad River Glen and Bolton. 30 minutes to Stowe lifts, Alchemist Brewery, Cady Hill Mountain Biking. 10 minutes to Montpelier. 5 minutes to Waterbury - Pro Pig, Blackback Pub, Waterbury Reservoir, Cork. This house is right along Route 2 and near I89, exit 9. While it's a great location for accessing the best of Vermont, there is some road noise to be expected.
  • We spent a wonderful Christmas at Sky's place. The house is well-insulated, hence pleasantly warm, very Vermont, with elements of engaging interest, like the lyrics on the wall and the simple-fine woodwork of the dinning room table. Sky was consistently available by phone/text when we needed to reach her and she had the place in great shape for our arrival, even though we booked on short notice. The location is very convenient---close to Sugarbush, Trapp Lodge, Route 89, Montpelier, near the beautiful valley of the Mad River.

  • Beautiful home, with charm around every corner. Beds were comfortable and home was conveniently located down the road from Waterbury center. Would love to stay again!

  • Loved everything about this house. Big fenced in yard in a beautiful location. Short drive from Stowe and Burlington. Everything we were looking for.

    Jon2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The only problem with our stay was that it was too short! Great location, 5 minutes from the eateries in Waterbury, 20 minutes from Norwich U, our son's new 'home'. Clean, well appointed, country charm. Would love to stay again

Nestled on 25 acres in the Wocester Range just minutes from I89, with stunning views of the Green Mnt Range from Camel's Hump to Mount Mansfield, this home offers privacy yet has easy access to some of the finest activities VT has to offer. Snowmobile from the driveway, ski Stowe, Sugarbush, MRG, or Bolton (all within 35min), mnt biking and hiking trails galore nearby and enjoy some of the best local beer and eateries in VT. When the day is done relax on the deck or soak in the hot tub.
Our home is rustic country with a modern kitchen consisting of stainless steal appliances, granite, and should have everything you need to cook or grill at home. At roughly 1200/sq it's super comfy, open, and the expansive deck has fantastic views. We supply paper towels, toiletries, etc, and all linens are new as of Summer 2017. The main floor has an open layout with a kitchen living room and dinning room with maple floors, and pine ceiling, two large windows and and a glass slider opens up to the deck. There are two bedrooms on this floor, one (~14'x12') with a king size bed and a closet and the other bedroom (9'x11') has a full size bed. There is a full bathroom, a dining room table that seats 6, and large sectional where you can kick back and watch apple tv (wifi) or one of ~12 local channels on a 55" flat screen. The ground floor has a finished laundry room, guest room with twin bunk beds, and a 3/4 bath with radiant heat. There is woodstove and the area around it is unfinished but is a great place to store/dry your gear, fix your bike, or wax your skis/board. There is a bike stand and some tools available for your use. There is also a hot tub on the deck that is seasonally operational (winter/fall only) but for longer term rentals we would consider filling it up.
Waterbury Center truly is "The Recreational Crossroads of Vermont." Less than 20min to Stowe, 25min to Waitsfield or Montpelier, and 35 minutes to Burlington and Lake Champlain the opportunities for outdoor recreation are endless. Reservoir Just 7 minutes down the mountain sits the Waterbury Reservoir via the Waterbury State Park entrance (fee applies) one can paddle board, kayak, waterski, fish or swim the lake. Fishing - Fly fish the trophy sections of the Winooski River, search out sizable rainbows in the Little River, or pull out the feather weight gear and fish for native brookies in some of the smaller streams near by. You can buy your license online or check out the The Fly Rod Shop in Stowe (14min) or Parro's Gun Shop in Waterbury as a resource. Mountain Biking - We have some fantastic riding but it doesn't come cheap. Please join a local chapter so we can continue building and maintaining our trail systems here in Vermont. Didn't bring a bike but want to try it out? Waterbury Sports has you covered. Trail Networks Waterworks - 5 minutes away and just to the north of the entrance to the Hunger Mountain Trailhead. Park in the second or third pull off and on ride on the East side of Sweet Rd. It's a bit of a spaghetti bowl but there's some really fun technical riding with plenty of places to cool off along the way. Perry Hill Trailhead is a 15min drive through Waterbury to River Rd and has some incredible riding. Tip: ride Permission to the top, hit Burning Spear (go for the meat grinder on the way down), bang a left for another epic downhill on Rastaman, and then climb back up to Joe's and hit some of the new stuff off of Campfire. Stowe - Less than a 20 minute drive to Caddy Hill parking area and access some great flowy or old school rooty technical riding. Tip: Take a few laps on FLO to get your timing right on the doubles. Chittenden County - Just a short hop north on I89 to Richmond and beyond. Too many trails to list, check out the link. Tip: HTF to Carse roundtrip is quite a ride. Futher away but worth the drive...Kingdom Trails in Burke (1.5hrs) (URL HIDDEN) Northfield Trails (45min), Millestone Trails Barre VT (38min) (URL HIDDEN) Skiing Stowe Mountain Resort (25min) - Ski Capital of the East. This year buy an EPIC pass and ski Stowe and the entire Vail Resort network. Sugarbush Resort (40min) - Two mountains and tons of skiing. New this year Sugarbush is part of the Mountain Collective network of mountains (WAY better network of mountains than Vail). Mad River Glenn (40min) - Ski it if you can! Sorry, no boarders. Bolton Valley (15-20min) - Great family mountain, good access to backcountry terrain, and has night skiing. Cochran's Ski Area (20min) - local rope tow with Olympic routes...worth it for a few laps to say you did Hiking - Too many to list but look these up... Hunger Mountain (7min) Stowe Pinnacle (15min) Hellbroke to the top of Mt Mansfield (30min) Camel's Hump (30min) Restaurants/Beer - Waterbury has some very good eats and most people use local meats and produce when and where they can. Hen of the Wood - Fantastic ambiance and even better food. Make a reservation well in advance. The Reservoir Tap and Grill - With 39 beers on tap it's a must stop for the beer connoisseur. Black Back Pub - Solid menu and usually have a full suite of Hill Farmstead beers on top of every other offering. Prohibition Pig - 20+ beers on tap and some tasty smoked meats. Michael's on the Hill - Farm to table dinning with killer views of the Green Mountains. Eat in the bar/lounge for a less formal experience.
  • Amazing house with amazing views - everything as advertised. Host accommodating to questions but also hands off. Property is secluded but with easy access to everything. Stay in and watch the stars from the hot tub, or go into town and enjoy the food and drinks at the local pubs/eateries. Check out Prohibition Pig, Zen Barn, and Blackback Pub. Real find ... plan to return.

  • The pictures don't do this place justice. Its incredibly beautiful and the views are insane. The host is wonderful, and the location of the house is perfect for recreational activities of any season. Cant wait to come back!

  • My friends and I had an excellent stay at Peter's place! You can tell they put a lot of thought/effort into making this place cozy, comfortable, and clean for their guests. Despite coming after peak leaf-peeping season, the views of the mountains were still incredible! The location was perfect- quiet and nestled away up on a hill, but very close to amenities of Waterbury and Stowe. On top of that, Peter and Tori were wonderful hosts! Easy communication and so helpful in providing anything we needed and tips on hiking in the area. We will definitely return!

    Elizabeth2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views and a really nice, cosy home with hot tub and fire pit made for a great weekend. A short, scenic drive to Stowe and all the attractions the area has to offer. Would definitely stay here again - perfect for couples, small groups and family.

    Fiona2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at 44 North was amazing. Space was clean, great views, and communication with Peter was easy. We were very close to Waterbury center and other local spots. Would definitely stay again.

  • I just returned from a wonderful stay at Peter and Tori's gorgeous home in Waterbury and my friends and I are already looking forward to our next stay! The house was perfect for a relaxing long weekend: gorgeous views, clean/comfy/cozy rooms, and great outdoor space. What really made this stay special were the hosts - Peter and Tori were exceptionally friendly, accommodating and easy to communicate with at every step. From stocking the house with anything we might need to preparing the fire pit for our use they really made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this home for a relaxing getaway in Vermont!

    Megan2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at Peter's place! The house is beautiful- all you could want/need for a relaxing vacation. The hot tub was also a huge plus! The property was private and spacious and the view from the deck was amazing. We even arrived to fresh, organic eggs in the fridge! Prior to and throughout our stay, Peter was extremely responsive and seemed to be very available for any needs or questions. We will definitely be back!

    Grace2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Peter has a beautiful home in Waterbury, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We spent most of our time at the Airbnb out on the deck, enjoying the amazing mounting views, foliage, and peace and quiet. The hot tub and fire pit were perfect for the cool evenings (and for star gazing). The home is also in a great location — about 10 or 15 minutes from downtown Waterbury (lots of good food and beer selection), super close to many hiking trails, and also very close to all the attractions in Stowe. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly and Peter was very quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. We would definitely come back again!!

The Lonely Goat is a hip little guest apartment with its own private entrance at our historic 1850s VT farmhouse. Sitting just above the Waterbury Reservoir, The Lonely Goat is fantastically convenient to world-class skiing at Stowe (and Sugarbush/Mad River Glen/Bolton), paddling, hiking, biking, and leaf-peeping. A kitchenette with gas stove allows you to make meals; 2 specialty food stores are right across the street, coffee is provided. Great location in central VT!
I love the “modern rustic” feel of our space - contemporary hipster flair in a historic space. The ceiling is divine with hand hewn beams from 1850. Warming up in the sweet claw foot tub after a day of skiing feels great! We are just one street away from the Waterbury Reservoir for canoeing and paddle boarding; Umiak rentals are available in summer. We are right next to a glass blowing studio you can walk to with live demonstrations. There is also a playhouse within walking distance that is open during summer. I also enjoy the two specialty food stores (including Pete's Greens) within walking distance, and being so close to everything in Stowe and Waterbury. We are in a recreation and foodie paradise with tons of outdoor activities, great restaurants, and breweries.
Everything in Waterbury and Stowe! We can recommend plenty of activities and restaurants.
  • We appreciated the new and comfortable amenities. . Bed was very comfortable. We will be returning for a longer stay soon! Host Gregory provided great info on dining and entertainment in area.

  • I absolutely loved my stay at The Lonely Goat. As a long time visitor to the Stowe/Waterbury area, I was really excited to see this option pop up and give it a go! I was very familiar with the location and super psyched with where it was located. The apartment was cozy and warm with the most comfy blankets on the bed. The tub and shower were both lovely and it was very nice having coffee and a French press available in the morning. Hopefully when we return in the winter for a ski trip, the lonely goat will be an available option!

This is a beautiful 3 bedroom house. It has the convenience of having everything on one level. You must take stairs up to the main level because it is situated on top of the garage. Everything you could need groceries, ski rentals, restaurants and local brews is right in Montpelier only 3 miles away. The back yard has 35 acres of walking trails and sledding hills. Right in the area there is skiing, hiking, swimming, cross country skiing, amazing restaurants and of course Ben and Jerrys.
This space is on a quiet back road on 35 acres. Its a amazing area that makes you feel in the middle of nowhere but you are close to so much!
It is located 30 minutes from ski mountains Stowe, Bolton, Cochran and Sugarbush. 3 miles from Montpelier where there are coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store, small local shops and Hubbard Park with a great little hike with an amazing castle like look out spot.
  • The house is great, surrounded by trees, very nice location. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen is reasonably stocked, even had a french press and an awesome mini dishwasher. I particularly appreciated that we did not need to deal with our garbage, laundry, or cleaning before we left. If you stay here with children please be aware that the owner sprinkles mouse poison on the carpets in the living room, dining area, and bedrooms! It looks like tasty green candy and blends into the carpet. Hopefully this won't happen again, but please for the safety of your children, do a thorough inspection! The driveway was unmarked, which made the house dificult to find, so I recommend being very clear on the instructions about how to locate the house. Also the address as given in the email from AirBNB was not the actual address of the house. At the time of our stay there was no internet in the house.

  • Leah was so responsive and helpful in many ways! We took many of her suggestions when it came to things to do and places to eat. The bnb was clean, easy to get to and from places, and just what we needed!

  • This property is stunning. The home itself is immaculate and super-cozy. Everything you need is right at your fingertips! The grounds are amazing- lots of space to hike and take pictures. Leah (property manager) was extremely helpful, from the time of booking, and through the entire trip. There are countless attractions nearby, and not enough hours in the day to explore them all!! Such an awesome trip!

Old world class meets laid back Vermont charm....a perfect Mad River Valley getaway. Conveniently located on a quiet and beautiful dirt road just one mile from route 100 and 4.5 miles from downtown- enjoy views of Camels Hump and Sugarbush from the private deck.
Persian rugs, homage to Renoir, and an original Grandma Moses relay a sense of wonder while reminders of our love for skiing will most certainly not be over shadowed. We have a washer/dryer & a robustly supplied kitchen equipped with practically anything you need for a successful night as chef. A queen air mattress and queen futon in addition to our full size bed make this space very workable for groups both small and big. Enjoy a Camels Hump sunset on the deck and then head down to our fire pit for s'mores and good tales. We know you will love it here in this first floor apartment.
We live exactly one mile from a beautiful riverside trail perfect for an easy sunset walk. Our road is simply beautiful with spectacular trees and plenty of cows you can see and hear from the house.
  • We were able to do a a load of laundry which was very helpful.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in this house. We had everything we needed plus Jamie & Ellis welcomed us with a beer in the fridge and flowers on the table. Everything in the house was provided as expected and the beds were comfy. I definitely recommend the location and this wonderful house if you plan to long/short stay in Vermont!

Outer basement area is shared. There is a microwave, small fridge, and toaster oven. Red Hen Bakery is just down the road for soup, sandwiches and the best sweets. Good for skiers and hikers and folks who want to just enjoy all the fine food and recreation that central Vermont offers. My space is private and cozy.

Private suite with your own entrance! This small (10x9), comfortable, quiet, & clean room is the perfect spot to land after a day on the road, the slopes, or hiking the mountains. 10 minute walk to downtown Montpelier and right off of I-89 at Exit 8. After booking, PLEASE read the House Manual for details.
This suite (one bedroom, one full bathroom) has a private entrance and is separate from the rest of the house. It is a conveniently located and light-filled house on a quiet street in a convenient neighborhood. There is often no interaction between the host and the guests. The room is small. It is just a bedroom and a bathroom with no common area.
My home is within walking distance of downtown Montpelier and is very convenient to I89 highway access. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.
  • Great space, short walk to center of town. Very cozy and private, best night sleep I have had with an air bnb. Highly recommended.

  • Amy's place is great! Private entrance and bathroom is a real plus. Clean, comfy and she has provided a fridge, microwave and toaster oven, to boot! Very quiet neighborhood. We loved our stay with Amy and would definitely go back again if we needed a place to stay in the area!

    Heidi2011-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's place was exactly as described. The room and bathroom were very clean but there was hair on my bedsheets which was disappointing. There was also someone watching the at 1am that woke me up. Otherwise the room and bathroom were very clean and the house manual was very comprehensive.

    Josh2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Location is very convenient to downtown, quiet neighborhood, private entrance and comfortable bed are all big pluses for this place!

  • Amy was efficiency and accurate in communication, and the room was perfect - just as described. Very satisfied.

    Chris2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • The space: Comfy beds, AC, good shower pressure, a clean space, wifi and off-street parking close to downtown shops and restaurants. With a mini-fridge, micro, hot water and mugs for tea, it's like a mini-apartment. Definitely cozy-small, but efficient and comfortable. The host: Amy was very responsive to messages and included everything that I needed for easy access to the space in the house manual. Even provided a few great restaurant recommendations!

    Mina2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Once again I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. I will return again, as each December I usually attend an annual Conference here in Montpelier. Thank you Amy!

This is a cozy 3 room apartment that has all the amenities needed for your convenience and comfort. The apt is attached to my home, an 1840's Cape that has been in my family since 1882. The apt has its own entrance, heating and parking. The house itself looks out on the Mad River but the apt faces the backyard gardens for privacy and perfect bird viewing.
There are stairs to the front door of the apartment but the apartment itself is on one level. The kitchen is fully available with stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, cooking & eating utensils.
A favorite walk of mine is on Pony Farm Road (south on Rte 100B, 1st road on left).

Our rural home is close to several ski slopes and major travel attractions with easy access to interstate. We bought this fixer-upper in 2014 after falling in love with the country setting and mountain views. While some renovations are still underway, the guest quarters were redone last winter. Only the temporary flooring awaits replacement. Accommodations include in-room Keurig with tea and coffee selections; a light breakfast of juice, fruit, and baked goods; and kitchen access.
In addition to the Library suite, guests are welcome to use the kitchen and enjoy the living spaces on that same level. Our large picture window boasts a breathtaking view of Camel’s Hump, and the dining room French doors look out on the Worcester mountain range. A quaint wood stove and colonial-style dining room complete the interior. Note that slippers or house shoes are strongly recommended as many floors remain unfinished.
  • The room was really clean and well decorated, and the secret door was so cool! The claw foot tub was also amazing. In the room was a small basket of refreshments - some nuts and chips and seltzer waters which I thought was a nice touch. Chad and Cheryl were perfect hosts, and wish we could have had more time to hang around! The sight of the mountains from the living room was incredible, and the surrounding area was beautiful. DT Waterbury was about 10 minutes away, so great location as well!

    Taylor2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Chad and Cheryl were excellent hosts. They had many suggestions and tips for local food, and obviously love the area. Beautiful view from the room. The house was easy to find and not far off the beaten path, but quiet and serene. Fun touch with the "hidden" bathroom door. It was a good location for everything we were doing while in VT.

  • Chad & Cheryl's place is a gem. Full of character and taste. They are the perfect hosts. They made us feel right at home. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area look no further. My wife and I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay at their place again.

  • This spot is a great find! The library room is so charming and quaint and the views from the living room of the mountains are absolutely beautiful. On top of all the structural qualities, Chad and Cheryl are both very friendly, welcoming, and helpful! They truly made us feel like home. I would definitely recommend this spot for someone who is looking for a cozy space that is a close drive ( 5 minutes) to all the great " tourist" attractions in Waterbury.

    Victoria2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Chad and Cheryl have designed this cozy and inviting library room, complete with a false bookshelf door leading to the private bathroom, with true attention to detail. Everything from the fluffy towels and deep soaking bathtub to the in-room Keurig coffee service provide the ultimate in comfort. They enthusiastically share all of the best things to do and see in this breathtaking area of Vermont. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest and recharge on my trip. I will definitely be coming back when I can. Thank you!!!

Enjoy this cozy guest house, just 12 minutes from Montpelier! This sunny, art-filled and modernly decorated house sits off a quiet gravel road and offers a unique Vermont get away. Much of the art in the house is by local (friends of mine!) artists, and is for sale. The Itsy Bitsy has a full kitchen, and bathroom (shower). The bedroom has a very comfy queen sized bed. The deck in the back offers a private sanctuary overlooking the woods. Hike, bike, swim and/or relax to your heart's content!
The Itsy Bitsy also has books, games and Roku TV (in the bedroom). The wifi is also good, but you may want to turn off your phone and computer and just enjoy the the country life. Paul, the owner, looks at his house and the Itsy Bitsy as his hobby art. As former furniture maker and weekend renovation warrior, I always wanted to build my own house. Now I have two (it became addicting..the building that is). I hope you enjoy the Itsy Bitsy!
Wood Road is a very nice road, full of a mix of great people. This area of Middlesex has the Hunger Mountain trail head, Wrightsville Reservoir, and a great brook with swimming holes and/or places to pic-nic just minutes away. The Rumney Elementary bandstand offers weekly, evening concerts during the summer
  • We stayed at the Itsy Bitsy Guest House for just one night and would love to return for a longer visit. We recommend with enthusiasm. Paul is a gracious host with a very welcoming style. This little house is absolutely lovely, spotless, beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and in a beautiful setting. It was a joy to stay here. In addition to everything being absolutely perfect there were snacks and basic breakfast items placed in the fridge for us.

    Sandra2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place was a perfect find for us. We were in need of a last minute place to stay and, luckily, the Itsy Bitsy was available! We appreciated Paul coming over to say Hi and making sure we had everything we needed when we first arrived. It's located on back country roads, but it being located in a nice remote area in the woods was exactly what we were looking for...a modern, clean, cozy and quiet guest house all to ourselves. We loved every aspect of this newly released AirBnb - from the layout, the well-equipped kitchen, the couple of locally-made yogurts and granola left in the fridge (which we appreciated since we didn't think ahead to bring breakfast foods, so thank you, Paul!!), the cozy sitting area, the assortment of bath and body lotions and such in the bathroom, the collection of art on the walls supplied by Paul's various artist friends, the comfy queen-sized bed, the ability to open all of the windows to let the fresh Vermont air flow through, the back deck facing the trees, the location....everything was exceptional! Hopefully we will be back up to the area, and when we are, we will definitely look to stay in the Itsy Bitsy.

    Melissa2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Itsy Bitsy was every bit as charming as you would imagine! Clean and spacious, nestled into the VT woods, and very well crafted. Although we didn't get a chance to meet Paul, he was very responsive and welcoming. Would highly recommend considering this a disconnect - cellular service was spotty and the internet/Roku TV wasn't quite working - excellent opportunity to enjoy the surroundings! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

    Malone2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Itsy Bitsy was everything and more! Paul was the most gracious host and the property and guest house couldn't have been more amazing. Thank you so much! Hopefully we can come back and stay again soon!

    Jenny2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and I were more than impressed by this little house. Beautifully crafted with thoughtful "tiny home" touches. Paul was welcoming and responsive. The area is gorgeous and very close to lots of restaurants and hikes, but still off the beaten path, which we wanted. I would highly suggest Paul's airbnb to any friends and family that are visiting Vermont.

    Kira & Mike 2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed two weeks at the Itsy Bitsy Guesthouse and loved every moment. Paul is not only a great host, very considering and helpful, he also put the place together with so much taste and thoughtfulness that one simply has to love it. The Itsy Bitsy is very romantically located off in the woods, but also close enough to Montpelier to enjoy the perks of a little city with shops and great restaurants. On top comes the beauty of Vermont is which is beyond words. If one wants to experience the great landscape the Itsy Bitsy is a great place to do so.

  • Awesome Prefab-chic in the Vermont hills! Came across this unique spot on my way north through Montpelier and had to book it to check it out. Just 15 minutes from downtown Montpelier it feels like you're totally off the grid. Upon arrival, and after lots of lightning fast communication, I met the Californian-at-heart casual owner Paul onsite who lives in his similar self-built prefab home nearby. He walked me through all in the outs of the house as well as around the property (garden, trails, local flowers, etc) and offered a number of solid recommendations in the area for coffee, dinner, viewpoints for sunset and such. The house is super simple, but with lots of modern details, amenities, and just the right amount of space to not feel like an actual tiny house. After the evening cooled and the breeze kicked in, I enjoyed a local beer out on the secluded back deck to just the sounds of the forest before heading back in and falling asleep with the windows open. It's a rustic modern spot in all it provides with quick access to town if needed. Only thing to watch out for is the staircase as it is pretty vertical and the kitchen/living area is upstairs - so be careful if going back and forth in the night! All in all - a great stay in a unique property with a unique host. Thanks again and would love to come back -

Great news! For those of you who were aware that the house was on the market, I will be here for the next 5 years and will continue to offer the apartment through Airbnb.
Private apartment in Montpelier's desirable College Street neighborhood. Short walk to downtown, about 1/4 mile. Less than a block from Vermont College. Spacious 1 bedroom fully furnished apartment . Includes a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and all linens. Sleeps up to 4 on a queen size bed and a pull-out sofa. Small deck. Local bus service. Montpelier is Vermont's beautiful capital city. Good restaurants abound! Great location for skiers, leaf peepers or those looking for a quiet and convenient place to stay. I want to make something very clear. This is part of my house. I get the apartment professionally cleaned. I do the best with sometimes spotty wifi. The space will never be perfect or a hotel. Most people have an ok stay. For me to deal with endless complaints just brings the whole experience down. So, if you need a hotel room that is sterile and perfect, go for it. But if you want to stay in my spare space and be able to roll with small imperfections great. Come stay. But be pleasant. 2 night minimum.
  • The apartment is located about 1 km (15 min walk) from downtown Montpelier, but very close to the college. It's in a separate unit from the main house with it's own entrance. The apartment itself was clean and well equipped. The wifi reception was little weak, but otherwise no complaints. This is a great place stay.

    Michael2013-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place! The apartment is spacious; well-furnished; a completely full kitchen, and there were also basic food items in the kitchen provided for cooking with (spices, flour, sugar, etc). The place was so clean when we got there! The bed was made up. And it was easy to find sheets/comforter/pillows for the sofa bed.The skylights make it so bright and also crank open to provide a cool airflow. We only had to use the AC a few times over a ten day stay in the middle of July. It's 5 houses down from Vermont College, so absolutely perfect for students, and it's right up the hill from downtown. Jessica made sure we had everything we needed and was very accommodating. Both check-in and check-out were really simple, and she was really great about rearranging the dates for us when I accidentally reserved the wrong dates at the beginning. I couldn't recommend the place more! You get your money's worth and then some. We loved staying here and would definitely stay again. (Please note: the apartment is larger and brighter than the photos indicate...If you're on the fence because of size concerns, don't be. It's big and lovely.)

    Kate2014-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable and convenient. I would definitely recommend it! Jessica was very accommodating and made our stay as easy as possible.

  • Our week staying at this apartment in December was great. The apt was warm and very comfortable even though there was snow on the ground outside. It's really well equipped, plenty of space and spotlessly clean, really comfortable bed too. Jessie was very helpful, friendly and always available if needed. The apartment is in a lovely quiet part of Montpelier and just a short walk to the town centre, perfect if you're staying a few days and want to explore Montpelier and also within an easy drive of a number of ski areas (for the outdoor types!). Highly recommended if you're looking for a place to stay in Montpelier.

    Michael2014-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Circumstances led us to extending our stay in Montpelier. It was so nice to be able to stay at Jessica's retreat for those extra days. We hope we can return some day.

    Paula2015-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had to extend our stay in Montpelier with a few weeks - that was a non-issue and we were happy to stay on in the apartment for the duration of our time in Montpelier! We couldn't be happier with the accommodation and Jessie, our host! It has been a very special time for us and we cannot recommend the apartment or Jessie highly enough! We would happily return any time! Thanks, Jessie! Dan and Martin

My apartment provides a spacious private room with shared bathroom and kitchen privileges. Central to all things fun, I'm approximately 20 mins from Burlington, Montpelier, Stowe & Bolton Valley Resort. Great for all outdoor enthusiasts.
I have available on & off street parking, depending on the season. My apartment is open, warm and inviting, with lots of natural light on the first floor. I'm a very visual person, so most of the walls are covered in art and decorations. Most shelves appear cluttered but I promise that I clean every room thoroughly before guests check in. The room itself is quite large, with a comfortable queen size bed. There is a dresser, night stand and small desk provided as well. There is an eye hook latch on inside of the bed room door for privacy but there is no lock on the outside on the door.
My neighborhood is generally pretty quiet, with the exception of the railroad tracks next to my a apartment. I am a short walk to downtown Waterbury which includes Prohibition Pig, The Reservoir, and many more venues to enjoy Heady Topper! I am also a short walk to The Coffee Lab, or a short drive to Hen of the Woods, Ben & Jerry's Factory, and Cold Hollow Cider.
  • Perfect for a few days in vermont ! Thank you kohl,

    Mélodie2017-02-23T00:00:00Z

    Monica2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying at Kohl's place. She's fun and perfectly helpful. Her house is well kept, eclectic and wonderfully located. The cats are no bother AT ALL. Waterbury is a nifty little town. Would definitely stay there again.

    Tom2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Chambre bien confortable, et chats peureux qui nous ont ignoré toute la nuit. À 5 Minutes du Prohibition Pig! :)

    Alice2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We spent our honeymoon @ the Waterbury Station! and had a fantastic week! Kohl was there to greet us when we arrived and offered some suggestions on where to eat while in town. We were within walking distance of all the action, and we partook every day & night. If you are planning a trip to beer xanadu and want to put the keys away, the Waterbury Station is where to stay. Thanks again Kohl!

    Bill2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kohl was very responsive to texts/airbnb messages. She was kind and one of her cats was equally as friendly, while one was very shy and didn't come out of hiding once. I appreciated her sharing her home with us. She also provided us with plenty of great information about the area and helpful maps/brochures as well as coffee from her Keurig. Overall, the place got the job done for a place to crash for the weekend we were in town for a wedding my partner and I were attending. The bed is really comfy (I slept very well on the plush, softer-leaning mattress), there's plenty of space in the room, and the shower has great pressure and warms up quickly. With regard to the the train: As Kohl's listing states, her home is next to train tracks. The first night, the train came around 2:30 in the morning, and I'm going to assume this was one bad-apple conductor considering the vast majority of other reviewers didn't have an issue. My partner and I were both jolted awake due to the train's bright lights and whistle, thinking the train was about to plow through the house. It was super loud. We didn't hear the train(s) at all the second night, and slept better and deeper than we normally do at home. FYIs not mentioned in the posting: I'm 6 feet tall and the hallway and door not pictured may require more thought than necessary when using the bathroom (which is downstairs) at night. Also, the bedroom you're staying in is Kohl's personal bedroom. I'm uncertain I would have known this without her saying something. I know she mentions in the posting she's not there and/or will stay in the second bedroom, but it wasn't clear to me at the time of booking.

    Jerick2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kohl was a warm and welcoming host. She made us feel really at home upon arrival and her place is lovely. Close to everything and charming in an entirely Vermont way, Krystyna and I loved our visit!

  • Kohl's place was perfect! We basically has the whole thing to ourselves for the night. She was there in the morning for a yard sale they were having out front, which she gave us fair warning about ahead of time. The bed was super comfy, too! Would definitely stay again :)

After a long day on the slopes or a day touring Ben and Jerry's, our local brewery's, or enjoying our foliage/landscape, settle in with a glass of wine and a warm jacuzzi tub.In the heart of the village, walking distance from local restaurants, brewery's, and shops as well as baseball fields, mountain bike trails, tennis courts and ice rinks. 5 miles from a beach where you can rent canoes, kayaks or paddle boards or just enjoy the sun. At the end of the day cozy up on a king sized bed or wind down watching Netflix's.
Please let me know if you have a cedar allergy as we keep most of the blankets in a cedar chest. I have one set that I don't, if needed. I usually put out fresh flowers so let me know if allergies to them as well. Enjoy the remote control candles around the jetted tub. Save money with a full size kitchen or walk to local restaurants. We have a coffee maker available with local coffee. The living room and bedroom are one room so the space is really best for 1 person or a couple.
Vt is the safest state in the nation and Waterbury is a small community of about 5000 people where everyone says hello and looks out for each other and welcomes visitors.
  • Amy and Mike's place was 100% perfect and we hope to come back in the future. The house is walking distance from 3 lively craft beer havens and less than a 5 minute drive to Ben & Jerry's. We enjoyed attractions in Waterbury and Stowe as well as a day in Burlington which Amy and Mike's was an easy drive to. The bed was comfortable and Amy and Mike are so friendly providing waffle mix and iron, soft towels and plenty of pillows. Definitely recommend.

  • Amy and Mike were so nice and great with communication. The apartment exceeded expectations (waffles AND Netflix, what more could you ask for!) We expected to venture in to Burlington more but fell in love with the quaint town of Waterbury and found the dining there was better anyhow! We would highly recommend staying in Waterbury and definitely staying at Amy and Mike's!

  • Amazing location, amazing jacuzzi tub, great kitchen, really I don't have anything to say that isn't just gushing praise. We will be back!

  • Amy and Mike are awesome people, and their place is great! Truly glad we got to meet them and chat for a few minutes when we got there. Super clean, and has everything you need. 1 minute walk into town to hit some restaurants and bars, super convenient. Communication was top notch. They couldn't have made it any easier!!! Highly recommend this place for 1 or 2 people!!

  • My friend and I had a lovely time here. It is close to lots of restaurants and fun shops. It is easily accessible off the highway and a great middle location for Montpelier and Burlington. We loved exploring the area. Amy and Mike were great hosts and left us some ice cream as well :). Would definitely come back if I'm back in the area again.

  • Convenient location right off the highway in the heart of Waterbury. Cozy home with most comfortable bed I've had on any trip! Our host Amy was there to welcome us and show us around the place and offer her help or advice on our stay in Vermont. The place was well stocked with basic kitchen essentials and a bonus water-jet tub for a relaxing evening after exploring the beautiful state.

  • Amy and Mike's place is perfect if you want a romantic getaway in central Vermont. It's located very close to downtown Waterbury which features several great restaurants (Prohibition Pig and The Reservoir were two favorites). There is also a great market and cellar beer store within walking distance if you want to stay in a make a meal or two. The kitchen is fantastic and has all the supplies you need. We really appreciated being able to make waffles one morning. Waterbury is also a short drive to Stowe and a longer drive to Burlington if you want to explore more of Vermont. Amy and Mike were easy to communicate with and made our stay so enjoyable.

Waterbury Center is a true Vermont town. My entire family lives within 40 acres. We are home to some of the finest craft foods in the world including Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, Heady Topper beer, Green Mountain Coffee and the Cider Mill. I love doing AirBnb and hosting great guests.
  • Getting in touch with Ari to confirm our stay was painless. And he made sure our stay was comfortable. The barn was beautiful and spacious. We were easily able to fit five people, and I'm sure even more could fit comfortably. We got in late and left relatively early, but I could see the barn being a nice, quiet getaway. The fact that it's so close to Ben and Jerry's also doesn't hurt! If I'm ever in the area again, I will look to see if Ari's place is available.

  • This beautiful home was perfect for me and my family during my graduation weekend. We were only there one night, but Ari was wonderfully accommodating and left us some hard cider as a welcome gift. I can say that the upstairs of the apartment had a much nicer set of bedrooms than the downstairs, so there was a bit of arguing on our part about who would have to stay downstairs. But it was only a problem because the upstairs was so cute and cozy, not because there was a problem with the downstairs. My super picky sister couldn't even find many problems with this awesome place, and trust my when I say that is a compliment. Overall, this is a gorgeous place, and Ari is a fantastic host. And as a bonus, it's in a really great little town.

    Ilana2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed alot staying in that house! Thank you Ari for hosting us... Clean and beautiful. The host had a great taste.

    Narges2016-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ari was a great host and greeted us when we arrived, everything was clean and set up for guests and he made sure we had everything we needed. He answered quickly when we had questions and was an overall great host. If you're planning on going to bed before 10 the noise from the restaurant below may be a problem for some rooms. Overall it was a satisfying experience and we hope to return to the Zenbarn in the future.

    Zachary2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ari was a great host, and the space was incredible. It's huge, super nice, and cozy. No complaints at all! I highly recommend staying here. You won't regret it

    Chester2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very spacious and equipped with everything from bikes to martini shakers. The decorating is fun and funky (old barber chair and a pinball machine) and includes many lovely objects from local artists. Ari was quick to respond to any questions or requests. The location was great and having the bar and restaurant next door was a real plus. The food and drinks were creative and delicious and we thought it was a much better place than the highly rated restaurant up the road.

    Paul2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and really helpful and accommodating host! Incredibly spacious and open.

    Harn2016-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Ari's home in Waterbury. The location was great and the house had plenty of room for our group of 5. We had a wonderful dinner in Waterbury and went downstairs to hear the live music afterwards at ZenBarn. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home to stay in near Waterbury or Stowe. We hope to be back again soon!!

With the back country and the front town, travelers can settle in on the deck to enjoy the views, or set out to explore a happening downtown -only one block away. This second floor space is private, light filled, and quiet.
This second floor apartment includes a full kitchen, separate dining room, and bright living room. There's a great deck to hang out on and look over the fields and surrounding hills. Occasional opportunities to enjoy a moon or sun set, birdsong, and even frog chorus.
Waterbury Village is a vibrant scene with various arts and recreation happenings. We've also become well noted as a beer lover destination. However, with a great walking/riding path behind our house, there is a lot of natural beauty to explore. The house is an 1890 Folk Victorian built by William Deal. Located on a quiet, family friendly street.
  • Rick and Amy were amazing hosts! The Carriage House itself is exactly as advertised and clean throughout. The place was stocked with extras like snacks and beverages. We were travelling with a 4 year old and they made it a point to offer some extra toys that kept our daughter busy. Many of the reviews on here mirror one important fact: Amy and Rick will be as involved or behind-the-scenes as you wish. The living space is cozy and warm and the back porch has a great view with a simple table and chairs for relaxing. Overall, I'd have a hard time believing there's a better experience in Waterbury for the price than this little gem. Can't wait to stay there again!

    Brian2016-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our expectations were immediately exceeded the moment we arrived to Rick and Amy's Carriage House apartment. After a warm welcome, we explored the space which was immaculate and very comfortable. Our hosts provided us with everything that we could possibly need, from toiletries to fresh fruit and coffee. The best part of the apartment was definitely the deck and its view (the view of the stars at night was breathtaking). The perfect location is definitely the cherry on top for Amy and Rick's cozy second floor apartment. All in all, we could not have been any happier with our weekend getaway in Waterbury. We will definitely be booking another stay with Rick and Amy in the near future! Highly recommended!

    Katie2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and a great host. Perfect home base for a beer and ski trip. Hope to stay there again soon.

  • Amy and Rick's place was ideal for us -- close to outdoor attractions like Waterbury Reservoir and walking distance to great bars and restaurants. The space itself was as described and met all our needs. Amy was helpful and welcoming before and during our stay.

  • We just got back from a stay and it was a beautiful weekend! The most perfect location for everything! Walk to dinner and drinks! A short ride to Stowe, just a perfect location. Everything was awesome the air bnb was very clean and Amy was very welcoming! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

  • If you would like a very quite apartment close to great restaurants, brew pubs, a and a wine bar in Waterbury, this is the place. The apartment is spotless and Amy and Rick are great hosts. There is a beautiful view from the living room and a nice private deck to sit on. We left the windows open at night and heard birds in the morning.

    Robert2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Rick are very easy going and helpful hosts. Very enjoyable place to stay.

Nestled in the woods on Martins Brook this bright, creatively designed walk-out basement apartment has all you need to tune out, tune into nature, and just relax. From linens to wine glasses to books and games, it's all here. Conveniently located in Middlesex, VT, an outdoor adventurer and nature lovers retreat, it's a short drive to Montpelier or Waterbury and from there easy access to Burlington. We welcome singles to families from across the globe to share and enjoy the peaceful serenity.
Built in 2016/17, the Brook House sits close to Martins Brook, not far from the base of Hunger Mountain. The main house is home to our son and his two children, one who is there full time, and their small dog. NOTE: During the winter months, front-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles with good snow tires may be necessary to easily access our property. We keep the driveway plowed and sanded when icy. The bright basement apartment has a private entrance and plenty of parking. The larger of the two bedrooms has a queen size bed while the smaller has a twin and a futon chair that folds out to toddler size. Children under 2 are welcome here, but we do not have a suitable bed for ones that young, nor other "baby equipment". A twin size air mattress is also available to use in the living area. All linens provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans; flatware and dishes; basic spices and condiments; glasses and stemware ; Keurig coffee maker, coffee and hot coco K-cups; electric tea kettle and tea; blender; full size gas stove, refrigerator and microwave. You'll find a variety of breakfast fixings to get your day going. A flat iron and portable ironing board are located under the kitchen sink. There are cleaning supplies available including a vacuum. The bathroom has a spacious shower. There are plenty of towels as well as a supply of shampoo and lotion samples, compliments of our travels. Hot water is provided by an "on demand" system which means you may have to wait about a minute for it to heat up. The bathroom fan moderates the humidity level in the apartment, so we ask that the door be left open when not in use. (Not necessary during colder weather when the heater is running.) The open living/dining area is decorated in a casual eclectic style which translates to "trouble free comfort". Because WiFi is pretty much non-existent, and no TV, we've an accumulation of games and books including some for coloring. Outside you'll find a charcoal grill and seating to enjoy the sounds of the brook and nearby owls.
East Bear Swamp Road, like most dirt roads in Middlesex, has limited traffic so is well suited for walking. This property is about a mile from the Mount Hunger trail head, a popular hike. One mile in the other direction takes you to pavement and Rumney Elementary School. When school is not in session, the playground and fields are available. There are also tennis and basketball courts as well as a nature trail through the woods behind the school. Concerts are held on Wednesdays at the Gazebo during the summer months.

The house was flawless and Francine made sure all the guests felt as if we were at home. Will DEFINITELY stay here again and I recommend anyone to do the same.

  • The property is located in a valley surrounded by hills.. The Waterbury reservoir is just beside the property with a private beach. Awesome location with Canoeing, Paddle boating, swimming, fishing facilities. The owner is very welcoming. Probably he is the best host we have ever stayed with. He allowed us lot of private space. He was also available whenever we need him for any help. We liked his wood cabins, wooden wagon and of course the hand made apple cider.. He is a charming person. This scenic property is adjacent to Stowe mountain, Ben and Jerrys Ice cream factory. Overall we are very satisfied with the house and we had a wonderful vacation.

  • We visited Francine's private suite with a party of ~10. Everything was wonderful and well prepared before our arrival. Hosts made us welcome and feel like at our house. We are already looking forward to our next trip. Potential visitors: This is an excellent getaway destination!

  • This property is amazing - beautiful location and well maintained. We stayed with 4 teenagers and thoroughly enjoyed private access to the lake. Francine and Eric are great hosts, they were helpful and pleasant and then left us to ourselves. We didn't even know they were there! Well, except when Eric was kind enough to reset the firepit for us. The house is in a central location and we really enjoyed exploring nearby.

    Elizabeth2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Francine and Eric were fantastic hosts. They made sure we felt welcome and settled and provided everything imaginable. House comfortably slept our large party, and the place is very well kept and decorated. We are already planning a second trip for the summer when more of the beautiful grounds are available!

    Anthony2016-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Eric and Francine created magic for us and our family reunion. They were both so warm and accommodating. Their house is perfect and the ability to use the canoes and boating gear was a wonderful addition. We've stayed in many Airbnbs and this was the best! You really can't possibly find a better home, location and hosts.

    Rachael2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Francine and Eric's country home. The location was great, just a short drive to Stowe and mountain. There was everything we needed, expected and more at the home. The house was very comfortable and the outside amenities/activities - sliding in the back yard, hot tub - were really nice features. I would stay here again and would recommend this rental to groups of friends or families.

    Rebecca2015-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a place to stay in Vermont, stop right now and book this place IMMEDIATELY. My friends and I came up from NYC for a ski trip and luckily landed an open weekend at Francine's place. From start to finish, it was stellar. Francine was so helpful with everything, provided firewood for the fire pit, towels, linen, everything you could possibly need. The vibe of this place is very unique, you truly feel like you're completely isolated from the world for maximum privacy. The hot tub and sauna was incredible. You sit in the sauna for 10-15 minutes and run outside to roll around in the snow, then sit by the fire! Also, I have not slept so good in a very long time- thanks to Francine's picks of the linen and comfy beds. The place even has heated floors! We love this place and by far, I have not had a better Airbnb experience. Thank you so much for having us - we'll be back soon!

My place is close to the city center, restaurants and dining, and parks. My place is good for couples and business travelers.
The Arsenal House was originally the caretaker's cottage on the grounds of the Vermont State Arsenal (destroyed by fire). It has an open-concept downstairs, two bedrooms and a bath upstairs, a screened porch (large enough for outdoor dining, when the weather permits) and beautifully landscaped grounds. The neighborhood is quiet, but only a few blocks from the city center.
  • We so enjoyed staying at this house! It was a wonderful place to call home for a week! The house was clean and very comfortable for four people. I loved the high ceilings, open layout and style of the furniture and decor. The history of the house and location along with the updated conveniences made for an awesome experience. It was within walking distance (or a very short drive) to downtown Montpelier. The neighborhood was quiet, but active with people walking outdoors. Beth is such a friendly and helpful host who respects your privacy while making herself available for any needs you may have. We will definitely be back! Thank you!!

  • It felt like living in a little piece of New England history. The house itself is fantastic. The setting is marvelous. We actually rearranged some of our plans for our week back in Vermont so we could just spend some relaxing time reading out on the porch rather than going somewhere. It just felt comfortable, like ... home.

  • Elizabeth could not have been a better host. Her house is beautiful and has a lot of character. The hot tub was great and being on a farm was wonderful. The fires both outside and inside were really cozy and the barn manager came and helped us light them and to help us with whatever we needed. Elizabeth was very quick to answer all my questions. By far one of my best airbnb experiences!

    Erin2015-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • I can't even begin to explain how wonderful our trip was. We had 10 people in our group and the house was the perfect size. The location was great for getting to Stowe everyday without having to deal with all of the mountain traffic. The views from the house were incredible, the ponies were friendly and we were easily able to keep ourselves entertained while we weren't skiing. Our host was so incredibly generous and offered all kinds of insider knowledge from restaurant suggestions to directions to the mountain to avoid the most traffic. We had an awesome experience, I definitely hope to go back!

    Kimberly2013-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our family spent a wonderful week at Liz's beautiful spot in Waterbury, VT. The house was even more spectacular than it looks in photos (and it looks great in photos)! There was ample room for the 8 of us to spread out when needed, or to all be together cooking in the beautiful kitchen or eating on the gorgeous patio. Waterbury has tons of great hiking nearby, and world class food, too. Liz was incredibly responsive and gracious host. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

  • I booked Troutlilly Farm for Thanksgiving this year. My mom passed away in January and we all wanted to do something different this year. It was amazing! Not only was Liz a great host, the house was beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed. The view was nothing less than spectacular, and somehow she arranged for a white Thanksgiving! It snowed 2 days prior and all day Thanksgiving day. It was truly all I had hoped it would be. We cooked delicious meals, took long walks, went sledding and had snow ball fights, and enjoyed evenings in front of the outdoor fireplace and in the hot tub. I can't recommend it highly enough. Just don't book it for Thanksgiving next year as we might want to make this a new tradition!

    Kelly2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Liz, her daughters and TLF are simply the best. My family and I (totaling 7 adults and 4 kids ages 3 months, 2, 5 and 7 years) all fit perfectly in the house and loved our time. The house and property are gorgeous and the horses and barn kitties are super sweet and accessible for visits and petting with permission from Liz. We had the most relaxing and happy time at TLF because of how nice everything was: clean, beautiful and charming. Thanks again!

  • The house in Vermont was incredible. It was our second time staying there. Elizabeth was fantastic as always and made our stay easy and wonderful. The house and property are truly breathtaking. I would stay again anytime. Thank you!

In any season, come see why Montpelier consistently makes the list of the Best Small Towns in the US!
In 2014 we lovingly renovated our turn of the century house, making sure to add a comfortable space for guests, including a brand-new private bath with walk-in shower. We take pride in our urban garden with lots of perennial trees and berries, vegetables and a small flock chickens. Enjoy your own quiet, private space in the heart of America's smallest capital city.
Our house is just a short walk to both the center of Montpelier and to the Vermont College of Fine Arts. We're on a quiet intersection of 2 side streets. The house is very quiet at night; in the daytime there is very little traffic aside from neighbors and dog walkers.
  • Very comfortable. Very Clean. Very hospitable hosts. I wold highly recommend

  • This air B&B was a perfect location for a visit to Montpelier, in a neighborhood of family homes, but a short walk or trip by car to downtown. What was unique is that the hosts have a cozy home with a seven-year-old child who provides the happiness that children, especially, can give.

    Dena2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • They were warm, welcoming, and just a stone's throw from downtown.

  • This AirBnb is very convenient to downtown Montpelier. The room was very clean and comfortable. The private bathroom was very nice and also very clean. Eileen and her husband and daughter were very friendly and welcoming. It was my first time using Air Bnb and I would highly recommend this place!

    Kathy2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely Airbnb experience. Eileen and her family were extremely friendly and warmly welcomed us into their home. Right on the edge of Montpelier, Eileen's home is just a quick 5 minute walk from town. It's obvious Eileen and her family have put a lot of time and thought into the guest room. The room was sparkling clean and felt extremely spacious with the high ceilings. We also loved convenience of the open bathroom layout! She even has chickens on the property that provide fresh eggs in the morning! Highly recommend this Airbnb!

  • The host canceled this reservation 6 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • For my first time using airbnb the experience was great! Before we even arrived Eileen provided a few suggestions of places to get a bite to eat on a Sunday night. We arrive a little earlier then expected but she showed us to our room which was super cozy with an awesome bathroom! The room was exactly as described and the bed was super comfortable. The house is just a few mins form downtown which is perfect for walking. Eileen and her family were welcoming and super nice. Great little place to stay while visiting Montpelier:)

  • Had a great stay in the capital of VT, would definitely be interested in staying with this lovely family in the future! Check in was very easy, we had our own space with a modern bathroom attached, wifi was provided and worked well.

  • Lily's house up in the mountains of Vermont was absolutely breathtaking. We loved every moment of being there. From the warm and friendly text message welcome/instructions on how to get there and where things were to the ambiance of the house itself. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for having us at your lovely home. Waking up to that view every morning made it hard to leave.

    Kara2015-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We rented the cabin for a week. The property was huge and incredibly beautiful. We watched gorgeous sunsets over the mountains every evening right from the front deck. The cabin is adorable and could easily have slept at least 6 people. It was the perfect mountain getaway, and we will definitely be returning in the future.

    Devon2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing site, and host. Lily was so communicative in the days leading up to our stay and so helpful in making our brief stay very enjoyable. Can't wait to find time to escape to Our Side of the Mountain again!!!

    Erik2015-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lily was a perfect host. The home was exactly as described, beautiful and secluded. She was available to help us settle when we arrived but also gave us our space. She was reachable by text at all times. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

    Phil2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time. The house was spacious and beautiful with a magnificent view. There was also lots to do in the area (hiking, cute towns to explore, etc.) We will definitely be coming back!

  • This was our first visit to the Waterbury area and we couldn't have had a better experience. The cabin was charming and cozy with a gorgeous view of the mountains. It had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. Lily was helpful in providing local area information for us to review, and responsive to our questions while we were there. We recommend Lily and her charming mountainside house!

    Crystal2015-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here. Gorgeous views. Very clean. Peaceful and private. Other great things: - Hot shower with excellent water pressure. - New and luxurious jacuzzi with fantastic views of the mountain. - Large fire pit, with fully stocked fire wood. We enjoyed warming ourselves by the fire during the cool evenings. - Extremely comfortable beds and linens. - Close to excellent restaurants. We had a romantic dinner at Michaels on the Hill and highly recommend it.

  • We absolutely loved our stay! It was very private and peaceful with a beautiful deck to enjoy the views. Everything was clean and well maintained. Great location - easy access to Waterbury center, Stowe, and Burlington!

FRI-SAT-SUN NIGHTS ONLY. Upstairs room on quiet side street, 10-15 minutes walk from downtown. Casual, homey, clean, comfortable and inviting. Shared bathroom. Radiator in the hall outside the room provides the heat. Two cats welcome guests. Child welcome. Low scent please.
The room is upstairs, the bathroom is on the main floor. This might be important if you need the bathroom during the night.
The neighborhood is made up mostly of one-family homes, with a blend of young families, middle aged couples and older folks. Being a quiet side street it is a favorite for walkers, often with children or dogs.
Gracias Karin

  • What a wonderful stay I had at Karin's lovely home!!!! She was so warm and kind. Her sourdough bread that she makes is amazing. The room was cozy and just what I needed after a long trip. I will definitely be back in the near future. Highly recommended!

  • Karin was the perfect host! She was very hospitable and gave us recommendations on what to do in Montpelier. I would definitely use her again; the guest bedroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Thank you, Karin!

    Nicolas2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay with Karin. She is a warm and kind host and gave us recommendations for breakfast in town. We wish we could have stayed longer but the room was booked the next night.

    Bilyana2013-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Karin made us feel very comfortable and welcome but she was also respectful of our schedule and privacy. The gray cat was very friendly and welcoming as well. The room was well furnished, comfortable, and clean. She even had a bowl of candy and some informational brochures in the room for us. Wifi worked great. Her house is within reasonable walking distance from downtown - probaby about 10 minutes. I would certainly stay with her again, we had a wonderful time.

    Allison2014-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • A charming house in a peaceful neighbourhood. An impeccably clean room. An interesting and beautiful Vermont town at your feet to explore. It all sounds so good on paper/online. When you arrive - the real experience of it all is even better! Enhanced by a welcoming and delightful host (lucky you if you can steal some of her time for inspiring conversations over coffee and freshly baked bread - yum!), this is the kind of getaway I recommend to everyone. A memorable, interesting and FUN stay. Incredible value. Feeling lucky I live only 5 hours away...

    Marianne2014-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Karin was a wonderfully welcoming and engaging host. We arrived to the smell of baking bread -- genuine Danish sourdough rye. We had a lovely conversation about everything from German dialects to tropical plants, slept comfortably in our clean and cozy room, and had a great breakfast before getting back on the road. We were addicted to her bread and bought two pounds to take with us! If ever we're passing through Montpelier again, we'll be sure to stop by for another visit!

A great place to for New Year's Eve or a weekend! Kendall's Cabin is set on 13 acres and centrally located to Montpelier (15 minutes), Waterbury (20 minutes) , Stowe (40 minutes), Waitsfield (40 minutes), and Burlington (45 minutes). This room is located upstairs (12 steps). It has a new double bed and a view of Hunger Mountain. With the opening of ski season, come and enjoy a weekend (or longer) here in VT! More than 2 of you? No problem, see our "other listing". Come enjoy Vermont!
  • Penny (Kendra's mother) is a wonderful, kind host. She was extremely accommodating and flexible with our check-in and check-out times. She was always very easy to get a hold of and was happy to answer any of our questions. The space was very clean, organized and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again if I am back in the area!

    Alexandra2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely LOVED my experience here! Great communication, extremely affordable, perfect location! I loved the quiet, cozy, homey feel of the house and loved being settled back in the woods. Penny was also an awesome housemate to talk with, learn about the area from, and become friends with during my summer stay - always willing to go above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of! I couldn't have been happier with my stay!

  • This place is fantastic! Perfect location if you plan to ski in Stowe. Great little town close by with restaurants and shops. The host is a so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit. Thank you!

  • My husband and I went to Stowe for the weekend and stayed with Penny. She is a great host and her house is in a good location. Only about a 20 min drive from everything we wanted to see! Highly recommend!

  • Beautiful location and such a friendly host! We enjoyed our time here. Perfect fall getaway in Vermont. Penny was super helpful with suggestions on places to see and things to do! There is a special place in our hearts for the dog Nina. The house was comfortable and felt like a home away from home. I hope to be able to stay again in the future.

  • My husband and I planned on having a low key weekend in Vermont. This property was a great location, close to many of the places we would be visiting. The price was unbeatable. We were going to check in at 3pm, but being 7 months pregnant, we took many stops along the way. We kept in touch to let Penny know of our arrival within the hour. Within 5 minutes of the location, we lost network on our phones. Be sure to keep your map on prior to heading into the woods, so you don't lose the route when you lose service. Since we arrived when it was dark, we didn't get to see the property until the next day. We had a good nights sleep on that Saturday. The room was on the second floor. Penny was very warm and welcoming. She has a dog and a cat that are just adorable. The temperature was comfortable. The place is new construction, but still has a farm-like vibe. The bedroom, for a New Yorker, was not small at all. A comfortable size for a couple. We recieved towels, shampoo, and soap. The bathroom is on the lower floor, but the place is well lit. I was fine going up and down throughout the night. The cieling is lofted, and the walls go up to about 8 ft. Which means you have maybe 4 ft of opening above. The room is still totally private. Sound will travel in, but it was fine. We had very rainy weather on Sunday, but we got to see the land. Very woodsy, lots of space. Grass was mowed, and there were places to sit, if it were dry. Monday, Labor Day, was really the best weather we got. We checked out, but got a nice tour prior to leaving. The home has a lovely story, which I won't go into. Better that guests converse and find out themselves! We got coffee from Penny, and then finally got to explore the places she suggested. I highly recommend that anyone visiting, follow Penny's advice on how to tour Vermont. We followed her suggestions, and were blown away. She knows the good routes for the most scenic views, and recommended good food. Highly recommend, and we hope to go back soon!

This is a spacious, comfortable apartment is walking distance to downtown. Perfect for a gathering of friends with an open floor plan and a large deck outfitted with a grill. Cedar walls, skylights & hardwood floors create warmth and beauty.
There is a lot of lovely, natural light pouring in from 10 skylights. There is a large deck with a grill. In the main room, there is a built-in desk area for focused work time. High-speed internet is ready for use.
The house is situated in a residential neighborhood on a main street just a short walk to the Food Coop, Shaws supermarket and downtown. Montpelier Dining favorites: Sarducci's at 3 Main street, Three Penny Taproom and Skinny Pancake on Main St. Kismet & Positive Pie II- State Street, Skinny Pancake. There is shopping and 2 movie theatres in town plus the Lost Nation theater. Local Music Venues are held at Skinny Pancake, Positive Pie and Bagitos ( Bagels and Burritos). If you enjoy dancing, head to La Puerto Negra for Salsa on Tuesday evenings or Saturday night at the Grange Hall for a fun contra dance.
  • It was a wonderful house, very clean and tidy. Lori and Oliver were very nice and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable.

    Indrani2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • There was a paper that included neccessary passwords, keypad combinations, etc. Everything--the place itself, the amenities, the surroundings--were as advertised.

  • We stayed at the "Red House" in early March to ski Vermont. Montpelier is very convenient to Sugarbush, Mad River Glen and Stowe. We had some good days but weather did not cooperate on others. Gave us an opportunity to explore the area. Montpelier downtown is walkable from house. Waterbury with great restaraunts and beer not far. Burlington 30 minute drive. The house was nice, plenty of space, huge deck to hang out on. Very clean and bright. A few more pieces of furniture to hang out on would have been nice, but not a big deal. Laundry downstairs is good when skiing. Would definitely recommend if using as a base to ski or explore the area. Oliver seemed available if we needed him (which we didn't) but never had the opportunity to meet him.

    Erik2016-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as advertised. Oliver was quick to respond to my texts about the amenities and everything ran smoothly. It was nice to have this convenient and comfortable place to stay during our time in Vermont. I would absolutely stay again!

    Gabriel2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lori and Oliver's home was perfect for my stay in Vermont. The house is walking distance to town and the local college and getting in and out of the house is super easy (no keys to lose or worry about). The downstairs neighbors were never an issue and Lori and Oliver were great at communicating with us during our stay. The house was clean and well cared for, and the beds as comfy as can be. The huge deck is the best if you're into BBQ and eating outside. This is a lovely place to post up in Montpelier.

    Remington2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the location. Very convenient. While we never met Lori or Oliver, they were very quick to reply to our inquiries. It snowed a lot during our December visit and the driveway was cleared of snow quickly! Great job, Oliver, especially since this was our first experience with Vermont winter weather. The house was very neat and clean upon our arrival. Even though the house faces a main street, you are not bothered with street traffic. Also the house is very warm and cozy. More of a seating option would be nice in the living room space. A king size bed would be nice as well. However, the queen bed was very comfortable. The 2nd bed (full size) was just as comfortable. Our grandkids loved spending the night!

    Mary2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The Red House was a perfect place to stay on a recent ski trip with my friends, Lori and Oliver were very accommodating and the space was exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend the place!

  • Karen is a friendly and cordial hostess. The accommodations were spacious and clean. It was private and comfortable and we were very pleased with our stay.

  • Great space! It was a quick stay- but easy to work and sleep.

    Holly2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • A little hard to find (actually pulled into the wrong driveway at first!) but after we found Karen and her place everything was great! We loved having the privacy of having the privacy of the first floor suite to ourselves. Great stay!

    Liz2015-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • I don't have enough things to say about this absolutely wonderful stay at Karen's. I rented the space for my parents, who were coming up for graduation... despite a time shift, Karen met us at the door, all smiles, and proceeded to show us the area. My folks, being first-time visitors to Montpelier, found her in-depth knowledge of the great eats and sights in the area to be nothing short of invaluable. The place itself was warm, cozy, and clean, with a real wood fireplace and two comfy beds... there was direct outdoor access and a kitchen that was well-stocked for cooking and feeling at home. Karen was very courteous in making sure that all need were satisfied before she left, and the location was ideal; right near State St., close enough to walk to all Montpelier's major attractions while comfortably just off the road in a pretty little wooded area. Most DEFINITELY staying here if we return! Recommended for style, comfort, and service.

  • Whitney is a wonderful host. The apartment is adorable with a nice view of the river out of the kitchen windows for morning coffee. The bed was comfortable, and the location was close to town. Thanks for sharing your place, Whitney!

    Nicole2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is beautiful - well decorated and well thought out. The location is walkable to the heart of Waterbury, but it's probably a lot more pleasant walk in the summer months (10 or 15 minutes). Would 100% stay here again.

  • Whitney and Wade's garage apartment was the absolutely perfect place to spend a weekend away. The apartment is situated on their beautiful property with mountain and river views. The space is exactly like the photos and did not disappoint. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

  • Whitney's guest house was absolutely adorable. Expertly decorated and a quick walk from several really nice restaurants with excellent craft beer selections. We stayed here and skied Stowe for the weekend which was only about 20 minutes from the house. Could not have asked for better accommodations or better hosts and we will definitely be back again

  • Absolutely perfect Airbnb. Location was so private and quiet, yet near everything we wanted to do. Hosts are so thoughtful and have done a wonderful job creating a relaxing and fun space. Loft is spotlessly clean and the kitchen is very well appointed. We will definitely stay here again!

  • What a nice place! We had a great weekend and there was plenty of room for us to unfold our son's pack n play and put him to bed. The apartment is a nice country walk to the main intersection in Waterbury, maybe a 4 minute drive. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

    Matthew2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place couldn't be more perfect! Clean, cute and close to downtown eats, beer and more! Whitney was easy to reach and super helpful! Close to Sugarbush if you are skiing and had everything we needed! Would definitely stay here again.

You'll also be within a mile or so of some excellent restaurants, bars, and attractions. Be sure to make a reservation for Hen of the Woods, have another meal at the Prohibition Pig, and take a tour of the Ben & Jerry's factory!

  • There is so much good to say about our stay here. The location is convenient, the house cozy and clean, the view stunning, and the cat just about came home with us. William greeted us warmly and was very accommodating. The house itself is both spacious and cozy, enough that we chose to stay in rather than go out whenever possible. We were able to get to both the Stowe and Montpelier areas quickly, and the highway is very accessible (for when we did have to leave) but just far enough away to feel like it's a retreat. The view from the house is incredible, watching the morning sunlight hit the mountains was a perfect sight to wake up to, and the land itself, with soft trails and impressive boulders, was a real treat. William's cat is incredibly sweet, equally happy to be self-sufficient or warm a lap, and even had almost no impact on allergies. We would definitely stay here again.

  • We had such a lovely time staying at William's home. His cat is adorable and so friendly and his home was clean and inviting. His place is so close to Montpelier and it was a very easy drive from his place into town. He was great at getting back to me in a timely manner with any questions I had.

  • Deorsha's place is a very special, quirky & peaceful place with a lot of love. It's a very creative and liberating place to stay if you're the type for backwoods DIY homes! I look forward to seeing it when the house is finished!
